the “criticism” that larian should never have added good minthara recruitment and that that was just “pandering” to fans is so unbelievably ridiculous. what else were they supposed to do about the sheepthara exploit?? attempt to patch it out and likely fuck up plenty of people’s game files? the solution they offered literally just acknowledges the exploit without dramatically changing anything, other than the player’s ability to have both minthara and halsin in their camp. if you want to kill minthara, recruit halsin, and play an authentic good run, then do so. if you want to abandon halsin, attack the grove, and authentically recruit minthara, then do so. the sheepthara method being simplified and added into the game has absolutely zero bearing on anyone’s ability to play the game normally. some people are just making a problem out of nothing. perhaps go complain about something actually worthwhile, like the lack of content for wyll and karlach.

The dbd community is one of my favourite things ever. Despite having to quit years ago, I'm still getting nice comments and finding goofy ass clips of myself.

#a while ago I stumbled across a youtube video of a guy and his friend pranking a deathslinger on the factory map #he got downed while jumping and then insta healed #I was giggling along watching the killer be super confused until I was like wait a minute. #this is seeming a little too familiar 💀 #I never streamed or posted clips myself but I ended up in so many of them that I was getting recognized all the time and had some sort of #fan club #which is apparently still going??? When survivors work on a generator for more than 50/40/30 seconds they lose focus and suffer from blindness and can't hear skill check warnings or the terror radius while on the generator and for 10/20/30 seconds after they stop repairing for any reason.

Your devouring desire to risk it all can lead you to victory.

This hex makes skill checks occur every 5 seconds and increases the size of great skill check targets for survivors, making them far easier to hit. However, if a survivor hits a great skill check and fails to hit 2/3/4 more great skill checks in a row they will scream, revealing their location.

Hex - Meat Grinder

Your attack isn't an instakill, they all just have very low health.

When the global hook counter has increased 5/4/3 times all survivors suffer from the exposed effect.

I don't think that canon Danny and my Danny would like each other much if at all. They're both essentially the same character, but Mine is gayer and also sillier.

I have lots of ideas in me head on how I think they'd interact but I lack the confidence needed to write and release (almost) anything headcanon centric. Sometimes not sharing is caring :)

oh okay this tome is everything i wanted out of a feng min tome. awesome.

spoilers under the cut i'm gonna ramble briefly

i love min being a very blunt, outspoken, and yet ultimately kind woman. "She feels like a freak for thinking respect has to be earned." is when i knew i was gonna like this story. shes fighting so hard to be respected, by her father, by her teacher, by her team, its all a constant uphill battle. her sacrificing the things that make her happy (reign of kaiju) for respect and a stable career and her and her family being able to live comfortably (laser bears) is just. agghhh i love this tome!!! additionally, i enjoyed them touching on her alcoholism and (implied) depression in a way that felt genuine. she just feels like a very real person, and not just a flat cute gamer girl skin like she was before. sorry i might go on about this more in the future i adore this story :)

I wish I could be more optimistic about them planning an update to my dear hux...but I'm worried that this will ultimately be yet another instance of "everyone uses this one add-on, so let's nerf it without understanding the reason as to why it's so heavily favoured."

The last thing hux needs is for the soma family photo to be nerfed. He needs his base kit to be slightly tweaked, and his add-ons to be slightly reworked.

I personally feel like that his kit is not that complicated to understand. He is not a difficult killer to succeed with because of an "overly complex kit," but rather because many players don't want to put the effort into understanding what I feel is hux's intended playstyle. he is most powerful in the hands of an alert player who both prioritises and is efficient at chase. And most players don't want to work towards perfecting their hux gameplay because they like myself- someone who plays hux constantly and wins fairly consistently- realise that his power can fall flat and leave him floundering no matter your skill level.

Against higher skill survivors, his ability to teleport can too often feel ineffective unless he has the soma family photo, or he is only using it to close a large distance between himself and a survivor. I imagine that for beginners, this lack of consistent value is part of what makes playing him feel so incredibly unrewarding.

I think that the devs need to look at increasing his overall efficacy in chase by reworking his add-ons so that they impact his ability to chase, as the soma family photo & the spent oxygen tank do. Not only that, but I am also of the opinion that the soma family photo should, in some capacity, be incorporated into his base kit, rather than nerfed because it is "used too exclusively" by anyone who plays hux.

Improving him in this way would make him an overall more enjoyable killer to play, but I do not think he is currently as "unplayable" as many argue. And you don't need to three-gen to succeed with him either.
