Mari's gaze is quite uninterested and cold, by virtue of the resting bitch face and her eyes, but when she looks at someone or something she likes or is passionate about? She just has this oxymoronic look that's both soft and intense.

Fate: The Winx Saga Unedited Ramble
Alright so I finished the first season of Fate: The Winx Saga and it was pretty fucking dreadful if I’m being honest. Let’s get into it.
First, let’s talk about the production quality because it was lacking in some weird areas. The audio mixing was surprisingly bad in a few places. Most notability when characters were talking over the phone. Every time Bloom speaks to her parents over the phone the voices on the other end are so loud. And most of the time when a character is talking to someone over the phone, their voice over comes in a bit softer with a filter to make it sound poorer quality. The audio was crisp and loud. There was one funny scene where Bloom is on the phone with her parents and she’s outside and there’s a bunch of background noise and her parents are in a quiet house. When it cuts to Bloom’s parents with Bloom on the phone you can’t hear the background noise but when you cut to her you can hear the general outdoor sounds in everything. Also whenever pop songs could come they were so loud. I would always have to turn down my volume because they would be louder than the normal speaking voice. Now for the sets. They were fine? I guess. Generic castle. Generic house. Generic forest. Fine. The costumes were uh…really awful. Mostly because you have the cartoon to compare it to where you had fashion designers design the outfits and you could tell, all the girls were so fashionable. A lot of the outfits were crimes. Terra’s and Stella’s were especially god awful.
And now, I guess I’ll go through the episodes and point out the problems as I see them. Episode one, I have a lot to say because the problems of the show become evident very quickly. So, first the dialogue. The original show had lame slang, especially with Musa, but my god some of this shit was painful. The first instance is when Bloom accuses Sky of mansplaining, so first of all it’s really great to see my childhood icon being sexist. Great. I love it. Second, she isn’t even using the term correct because by definition it is a man must explain to a woman a concept that she already knows in a rude way. Bloom states before this that she doesn’t know what a Specialist is so it’s not something she already knows. The only line that got a snort out of me is when Bloom says “Gryffindor. Explains the judgement.” Now the roommate situation. They totally moved Terra and Aisha because they wanted more drama. Terra is a ball of anxiety and wants to be friends with Musa, Musa’s an empath and can’t deal. Bloom is naturally gifted and a bit of an…well the show wants us to think she’s a free spirt and a rebel but she’s an idiot. Aisha is smart but has to work for ever bit of magic she gets. (despite that one line where she saws she flooded her school because of a math test but whatever) Another thing is that they say guns don’t work on the Burned Ones but if swords do then guns do. It’s stupid.
A great theme of this show is that everyone needs to calm down. As someone who’s lived in a suite like with this with four/five other girls, you’re not going to be best friends with your roommates the first day. Calm down Terra. Back to bad lines. Speaking of calming down, Bloom’s mom takes away her door (Sidenote: Whoever wrote “Don’t you feminist with me. This basic bitch’ll break out her bullhorn and her dissertation and take your ass to school.” Needs a good slap) and so Bloom is so enraged by this that she…nearly kills her parents by burning the house down. Fucking brilliant. That is the thing that enrages her. That. Fucking moronic. Also Bloom’s parents are on the floor but there’s a clear pathway that they can just walk through that Bloom walks through. This could have been solved if you had Bloom walk through the flames because fire fairy Speaking of people needing to calm down Terra is just absolutely insufferable. Riven calls her fat and she her response is to choke him and when he calls her out on this she smiles at him saying “nice to see you again” or something. Fuck off Terra. Attempted murder not acceptable when someone insults you.
Alright, now to talk about Stella (and yes, we’re still on Episode 1) while I think Bloom and Flora were done the dirtiest, they massacred my girl. While I don’t think Stella is the most complex character, I discovered while watching this that I really like her in the original. I especially love the episode she gets her Enchantix and the episode she saves her father from Valtore’s spell. Both episodes are so beautiful and her character shines. She’s a bitch in this show. It explains why and I actually do feel bad for this Stella but my god, my Stella would never. Which might as well be the title of this show, Fate: The Winx Would Never Saga.
Few final problems for the first episode: First they call Bloom a changeling and that’s not what changeling’s are and it’s very distracting. Find a different word. Second, Bloom’s house does not look Californian and probably isn’t. Also if Bloom didn’t want to lose Stella’s ring, then she should have worn it on her fucking finger. Now onto episode 2.
So, another problem with this show is Beatrix, while she’s one of the most interesting characters on the show, the fact she barely interacts with the girls is stupid. They should have just put her and Bloom in the same room together. Then Beatrix could interact with all the girls. Problem solved. But no. However, I actually kind of dig Beatrix’s relationship with Riven, I remember liking it in the original as well when it was with Darcy. Maybe I just like evil couples. Oh and magic has changed. So now there’s five elements Water, Earth, Fire, Air, and Mind. And you use emotions. And seeing Stella tell Bloom to think of negative emotions hurts my soul because I remember the episode where the girls go to Cloud Tower in season 2 and STELLA WOULD NEVER. Onto episode 3 and 4.
Okay so it’s revealed that Bloom was born in 2004 so that means these girls are 16, 17 in Stella’s case. To which I say bullshit. Now, onto Queen Luna. I don’t think she had any lines in the original series, however I will say QUEEN LUNA WOULD NEVER. I hate that Stella has a shit relationship with her mom. I hate that Queen Luna is queen of Solaria. I hate that she’s the Queen of Light despite her name being Luna because she should the Queen of the Moon because that’s how it worked in the original but no. It’s dumb and I hate it. Though, I will say that her treatment of Stella did make my heart hurt. New appreciation for this imposter Stella. One other thing is that Beatrix’s story is the most interesting. Aster Del was cool.
Episode 5 is when I realized that there were only 6 episodes of this series instead of 8 so…this is the penultimate episode and where shit gets real bad. I don’t like seeing Musa having sex, I think I was on my phone when Stella was having sex but seeing Musa with her bra just made my childhood weep a little. Also, how the fuck did Musa not know Stella was there? Also, I kind of like the scene were Stella opens up to Musa but I would have liked to see Musa say “I’m an empath, dummy, I know these girls aren’t judging you.” Speaking of stupid, Bloom. While Farah not telling you the truth about stuff was dumb, you breaking Beatrix out is massively moronic. And then the show decides to make my childhood weep again by having Bloom drug Sky. Thanks sho w, seeing this happen to my childhood OTPs is fucking great. And you know what? I try to hate this show but then it has a soldier facetiming Marco saying that the Batallion is dead and that she has a broken leg. Then she starts running away from the Burned Ones while hobbling with her “broken” leg and the camera stays on her. It’s…it’s a special show.
The show briefly mentions magical convergence and don’t fucking dare. And then…the characters brains magically go bye-bye. First Bloom is a ding dong for leaving the drugged Sky face down. Then Terra, Musa, and Stella are absolute ding dongs for giving Bloom back the key to break Beatrix out. At first I thought they were fine with allowing Beatrix to murder Dane and then Stella just fucking pushes her into the trap and it made it worse. You don’t fucking know that won’t kill her, you ding dongs.
Onto the finale. Aisha gets shit for being the only one who isn’t a ding dong. “Hope the brownie points will keep you company when you have no friends.” My soul. Bloom becomes really fucking confusing because she doesn’t trust Farah or the other staff but then she just randomly trusts Rosalind. And then she points this out that it’s weird that Rosalind wants her to trust her. And then Bloom goes to save her friends. Funny moment: Stella loses signal, she clearly needs to switch over to the plan that one soldier had where she could face time in the middle of a fucking forest with perfect quality. Then back to Bloom where she confronts Farah and says “What if Rosalind isn’t crazy? What if she had a reason to lie?” And she’s just…an idiot because she doesn’t see how that logic can be thrown right back at her with Farah.
Terra continues to be an ass to Musa. Like she just demands that Musa take away his pain and I understand the Musa needs to open up and get past her baggage. However, Terra does it in such a bitchy way that I would have probably slapped her. Also the show pretends that Terra was helping Sam when she did nothing but hold his hand while he writhed in pain. Also, also you clearly have sedatives in this world, fucking use them.
So Saul “killed” Andreas which is stupid on two fronts. Number one, Saul says to at least Sky that he died in a battle but no one ever questions which one. You’d think they’d find his body on the battle field. Number two where the fuck did Andreas’ body go? Did Saul not care? Fucking stupid. Also Andreas raised Beatrix. Interesting. A little…Mortal Instruments but I’ll allow it. Cool reveal.
Then…the things. Uh, while I’m glad that this show about fairies actually has fucking wings for one scene and they’re pretty cool looking with the fire and almost scale like. However…there’s no magical costume which is bullshit.
Finally, Farah’s neck is snapped and that just kind of the final blow to my childhood. So…overall. This was pretty shit as both an adaptation and just as a story. There were a lot of plotholes and stupid things.

Can’t Help Falling In Love- Lukanette
This is based on the song 'Can't help falling in love with you' and a myth I read about the sun and the moon. In the story, the sun and the moon are a couple and the moon inspires the sun to make plants but she gets no thanks and the more the sun is thanked, the bright it gets but the brighter it gets, the harder it is to see the moon. She's hurt by this as she feels lonely and ignored. One day, she stays out on earth and the sun goes home. There she meets the darkness, falls instantly in love with her and wants to make her happy. He suggests humans should exist and on the first night of their existence, he scares them. The second night, he invites her to join him and the humans praise the moon for her light. She feels like she's just as important as the sun and realizes she's in love with the darkness. She breaks up with the sun and marries the darkness as he was the one willing to sacrifice himself so she could feel important.
So in this, Adrien is the sun and the plants are his fans, Marinette is the moon, the genius behind the sun but ignored and Luka is the darkness, who allows her to take his limelight so she can feel important and loved.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Look it's Adrien Agreste!" A few girls screamed as Adrien walked by them and waved. Holding onto his arm was his girlfriend, Marinette. As smart as she was beautiful, she was the genius behind his current look. She had designed his outfits and put all of her time and effort she could into them. She painstakingly hand-sown on the details of the little cat and pieced together the beads around his neck. He smiled as he waved as his fans screamed and cried before they walked over to the interviewer.
"Wow, Adrien. I love the new outfit," Alec Cataldi stated as he held the microphone to Adrien. "Is it one of your father's pieces?"
"My father and I are branching out and trying out next outfits by new designers," He stated.
"Awesome and who is this lovely young lady on your arm tonight?" He asked and Marinette was sure he meant nothing by it but it bothered her that he said tonight. Adrien, however, laughed and flipped his hair.
"Oh, this is just Marinette," He stated in a matter of a fact way. "She's a great friend and inspiration to me,"
The words stung like someone had poured acid in a wound but she kept a brave face and walked with him as he waved to his fans, blowing them kisses. She frowned to herself. While everyone saw him, no one truly saw her but she said nothing for she knew that he had always been destined to shine. As the night went on, the party grew tiresome and the two of them leave. Adrien had his driver drop her off home and promised to be around tomorrow. She nodded to herself and made her way into her apartment above the Bakery. She put her coat down and stroked the ears of her cat, Tikki before freeing herself from her dress and changing into something more comfortable before she took out her moment recent project and began to sew to herself as she hummed softly. The feeling of the needle going through the material relaxed her but this time, she didn't feel her worries melt away. She loved Adrien. She loved him with all her being. She didn't doubt that. She had done since she'd first met him and even though it took him years to notice her, she remained loyal to him, never looking at another boy. He had finally asked her out a few months ago and she instantly said yes. And what bliss had it been. They were the talk of the town. The model and the designer. Their work together was killer and she was proud to call herself his girlfriend but recently, it had been going down hill. The more he wore her designs, the more he shined but the more he shined, the more she became invisible. She didn't mind that he wore her outfits but he never directly said they were hers and every time, she was with him, the same words came out of his mouth. 'This is just Marinette. She's a great friend'. There was never 'this is my girlfriend. She designs these clothes I'm wearing' or 'This beautiful lady is my queen'. Not that she expected something like that. She just wanted him to appreciate her. She sighed to herself and put her project away before going to bed.
 ~A Few Days Later~
"Hey, Marinette. Can you get me a skinny latte pronto?" Adrien asked as he read the latest issue of Vogue Paris, which he had a photoshoot with a day ago. Marinette looked up from the dress she was scoring with an annoyed look. He was sat the dress with his feet up. "Anytime soon would be good,"
"Get it yourself," She stated, a little snapper then she meant. He lowered the magazine and looked at her with surprise. "What?"
"Why you been all bitchy? I just asked you to get me a latte," He gasped, frowning. She straightened up and gave him a look.
"And all I said was get it yourself. You have two legs that work perfectly fine, don't you?" She replied, making him frown.
"I'm busy," He stated, causing her to roll her eyes.
"I'm also busy or have your eyes stopped working?" She asked, folding her arms. "Miss Bourgeois wants her dress finished tonight so I have to get it done, meaning I don't have time to go on an errant for you and I'm also not your PA so either get it yourself or get someone else to get it,"
"Geez, I get it. No need to bite my head off," He rolled his eyes as he got up and headed out of the room. Marinette sighed and went back to pinning the dress. Hopefully, he'll be in a better mood when he comes back but he wasn't. He slammed down his coffee and consciously made passive aggressive remarks. She finally slams down her kit and face him. "What?"
"What the hell is your problem?!" She asks, making him frown.
 "Nothing!" He gasped.
"Really? Cause you're acting like you have a problem!"
"The only problem I have is that you're acting like a spoil brat!" He gasped, making her frown. "It's like since I got more famous and known, you've gotten more jealous,"
"I'm not jealous!" She screamed. "I'm hurt that you act like I don't exist because since you've got famous, it's like I don't exist!"
"That's what you're upset about?!" He gasped like she had said something trivial, making her frown. "I thought you were more mature then that, Marinette,"
"Get out!" She screamed as tears filled her eyes. He grabbed his jacket and coffee then left the room, rolling her eyes. She finally let her tears fall as she fell to the floor. Her shoulders shook as she sobbed. It's like he didn't see her anymore and that she was completely invisible to him but not just him. Her friends are always paying him attention, her family are always singing his graces and the other designers ignore that the clothes he wears are hers. To her, it felt like the more people gave him attention, the less and less she saw. She felt lonely and useless but more then anything, she wondered if he loved her anymore. More tears fell as she wasn't sure what the answer was.
 (***)
"Yes! I love it!" The photographer called out as Adrien posed and smiled. His fans screamed and cheered as they watched as he threw a charming grin at the camera, completely ignoring Marinette as usual. He smiled brightly and Marinette felt sorrow. The more his fans screamed, the more lonely she felt. She didn't understand how she could feel so lonely, given how many people were around but she felt close to been nothing and Adrien was completely ignoring it. He acted like their disagreement hadn't happened and when she bring it up, he made her feel like it was her fault. "Aah no! We're losing the sun!"
"That's ok. We got some excellent photos today," Adrien replied as he looked at them on the photographer's computer. The photographer and his team packed up as Adrien turned to Marinette. "Time to go. I'll have you dropped off at home,"
"No," She stated, not looking up from her notepad. He frowned deeply.
"What?"
"I said no," She stated, finally looking up at him.
"What do you mean no? How are you gonna get home?"
"I'll do what I did before I met you and get the subway," She replied, going back to her drawing. He frowned deeply.
"Fine!" He growled a little before turning on his heel and leaving. Marinette let out a sigh of relief and continued to draw the street lights came on and the sun set. She hummed softly to herself as she drew, losing herself in the zone. When she next looked up, she realized the night had settled in completely now and that she should probably go home. She packed up her things and began to make her way to the subway but the sound of music caught her attention. She looked to her side and saw a man not much older then her stood in the street, playing a guitar and singing softly as a few people stood around, listening to his music. She slowly wondered over as he finished playing his song. The small crowd clapped as he grabbed his water and took a drink. Marinette couldn't really see him as he knelt down and changed the settings on his amp. A few people stepped away as he straightened up and started to play his guitar, re-tuning it. Marinette found herself intrigued by the mysterious guitarist. His hair was short and black with teal blue highlights. His hoodie matched and his black jeans were ripped. He finished tuning his guitar and looked up. Instantly, his eyes met hers. A soft but seductive smile came across his lips and a mysterious twinkle danced in his teal blue eyes. Marinette felt her cheeks burn a little as he looked at her before he started to play his guitar. The song sounded familiar but it wasn't until he started to sing that she recognized it. He stepped close to the microphone as he looked at her before his voice came through.
"Wise men say only fools rush in," His voice sounded like it was from the heavens above. It was soft and gentle yet full of the mysteries of the night. It brought a shiver to Marinette's spine but one of pleasure and joy. "But I can't help falling in love with you,"
He looked directly at her as he sung.
"Shall I stay? Would it be a sin if I can't help falling in love with you?" A few more people joined them as he sang softly, playing his guitar skillfully. She honestly felt like she was the most important thing in the world right now. She didn't know how he did it but it felt like she was the only thing he could see. He paid no attention to the other people who were watching as he sang softly. "Like a river flows surely to the sea, Darling so it goes some things are meant to be,"
He stopped singing as he played a bit of a solo, looking down at his guitar so he could focus on his music. Marinette closed her eyes as she listened to the notes.
"Take my hand, take my whole life too," The sound of his voice made her open her eyes again. Once again, those teal eyes connected with hers and she honestly felt like it was just him and her. Like there was no one else around. She felt all of her sorrow and pain wash away in a sea of music as he continued his song. "For I can't help falling in love with you,"
He stopped playing his guitar before holding the mic as he leaned closer to it.
"Like a river flows surely to the sea," He sang without the music. "Darling so it goes some things are meant to be,"
A few girls swooned as he sang softly before he started to play again. Marinette listened intensely.
"Take my hand, take my whole life too for I can't help falling in love with you," He sang, moving his eyes across back to her. "For I can't help falling in love with you,"
The song came to an end and everyone around clapped, bringing Marinette into reality. He smiled and thanked people as they put change and notes into his guitar case. Marinette took out a couple of spare coins and walked over. He nodded to a gentleman, who had given him €20. He looked up as she put the change into his guitar case and smiled softly at her before his eyes landed on her sketch pad.
"Are you an artist?" He asked, nodding to it. Her face blushed as she realized what he meant.
"Oh, not really," She mumbled, looking away shyly as she pushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear. He frowned softly to himself as he looked at her. "Um,"
"You look really familiar to me," He mumbled, grinning before clicking his fingers. "Aren't you the sweetheart of that model Adrien Agreste?"
Instantly, her face dropped as he said that, making him frown before holding up his hands.
"Sorry. I didn't meant any offence by that," He mumbled, rubbing the back of his head. "I'm not very good with words,"
"T-that's ok," She mumbled. "But yes, I am the girlfriend of Adrien Agreste,"
She held out her hand to him.
 "My name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng,"
"Luka Couffaine," He smiled, shaking it before pulling away as he began to clearing up his stuff as people walked by. "Did you like the song by the way?"
"I did. It was by Elvis originally," She mumbled, making him smile.
"Didn't peg you for an Elvis girl,"
"Who doesn't like Elvis? He's the king," She scoffed as he took the money out of his guitar case and put it into bags. "Do you want a hand?"
"No, I'm good thank you," He smiled before placing the bags into his rucksack before packing away his microphone into a case. He placed his guitar in it's case and put the rucksack on. "I have to get going but if you're interested, I play this spot every night,"
"Is that an invitation, Mr Couffaine?" She asked but he didn't answer. He just smiled in a mischievous way that made her heart skip a beat before he disappeared into the night. Marinette let out a soft sigh before she headed to the subway.
 (***)
Marinette found herself coming back to that spot where Luka played under the night sky every night and his music relieved her off her sorrow but every time she left, her loneliness came back. After a particular bad argument with Adrien, Marinette came to Luka's spot a little bit late. He was just packing up and looked a little sad but as soon as he saw her, a smile came across his face and his eyes lit up but it didn't last long. He dropped his rucksack and rushed over to her when he saw the tears rolling down her face.
"Marinette, what's wrong?" He gasped but she didn't answer. Her lip trembled and more tears fell down her face. He brought her into his arms and rubbed her back. "It's ok,"
She sniffed and wiped her eyes before looking up at him.
"I'm s-sorry," She mumbled, looking down.
"Don't be," He replied, looking at her with a soft look. Marinette felt a blush come over her face as she looked away shyly. "Look, I have to drop these back at home-"
 He nodded to his equipment.
"But if you'd like to join me, we could go grab a coffee at mine and talk about whatever you want. Sound good?"
"T-That sounds g-great," She sniffed, smiling a little. She went to grab one of his cases but he smiled, picking them up. She walked with him as he began to walk towards the Seine.
"I should warn you. I live on a boat," He states, looking at her seriously.
"That doesn't surprise me if I'm honest," She smiled as he turned onto the boat. She looked and smiled at the name. "The Liberty huh?"
"Ah, I didn't name her," He smiled, offering her his hand. She took it and he helped her onto the deck before they headed downstairs. Marinette looked around as Luka put his musical gear away. She smiled softly to herself as she looked around. It was a cosy place with a simple but homely feel. An brown sofa that had seen better day was opposite a TV and the kitchenette was small and yet it felt more alive then she had seen in a long time. It was the complete opposite of Adrien's apartment. Adrien's place was perfect. Not a single thing was out of place and it was in a minimalist design. It was black and white in it's color scheme and Adrien's OCD helped keep it tidy. Luka's boat on the other hand was what one might call a little messy. Music scores were scattered around, along with several musical instruments and a few drawings were pinned to the walls, along with a couple of photos. There was a couple of mugs on the coffee table. Marinette smiled a little before walking over to the photos. She recognized Luka instantly but the two women next to him didn't seem familiar. "That's my mum and sister,"
She jumped at little as he came over.
"Juleka is currently in America with her fiance, Rose," He stated. "And Mum is on tour,"
 "Your mum's a musician too?"
"Kind of. She has her own unique shows. She mixed music with comedy," He smiled. "The Liberty use to belong to her. She gave it to me when I turned 18 and she moved in with her husband,"
"That must of been quite the scene changer. From a boat to a house," Marinette mumbled but he laughed softly. "What?"
"I never said she moved into a house," He replied, taking out his phone and showing her a picture of a huge tour bus. "That's the Liberty mark 2,"
Marinette stared in shock before looking at him.
"She moved into a tour bus?"
"Yep," He grin, looking fondly at the pictures. He pointed to a picture of him, his sister and two others. "That was my first band. I was the guitarist, Jules was the bassist, Rose was the leader singer... that's her... and that big guy was our drummer, Ivan,"
 "What were you called?"
"Kitty Section," He smiled. "We use to sing songs about Unicorns and fluffy bunnies,"
"Seriously?" She asked, looking at him.
"Yeah," He grinned. "Rose was also the song writer and as you can tell, she loved the color pink,"
Marinette couldn't help but laugh a little as Luka smiled down at her. Marinette moved around and noticed a cloth over a cuboid object. She looked over at him and raise an eyebrow.
"That is Sass' tank," He replied.
 "Who or what is Sass?"
"My snake," He smiled, lifting the cover off, revealing the beautiful snake. "I put them on while I go out so he doesn't realize I'm out. I worry that he'll get lonely if he realizes,"
"That is adorable," She smiled. "Can I meet him?"
"Hmm, once I've fed him," He replied, walking over to the kitchenette. He picked up the kettle and filled it up with water before putting it on to boil before going into his freezer and taking out a small sealed box. He walked over to the tank and took out a frozen mouse before opening it and put it into the cage. Marinette watched with fascination as the snake devours the dead mouse. Luka put the mice back and looked over at her. "You know most girls would be freaked out by that,"
"I'm not like most girls," She smiled softly, looking over at him.
"I'll say," He replied. "So coffee, tea or hot chocolate?"
 "Hot chocolate please,"
"One Luka Couffaine hot coco special coming up," He grinned, grabbing two mugs and making them one each. A few minutes later, he came over and placed one of the mugs in front of her. Cream covered the top and it had sprinkles onto top of it. He placed his down next to hers and sat down so he was facing her. "So what do you want to talk about?"
"How you learnt to make an amazing looking hot chocolate?" She smiled, picking hers up and taking a sip. "Wow,"
"I work part time as a barista during the day," He explained. "So I know how to make a mean latte and hot chocolate,"
"This is really good," She mumbled, sipping it again. He picked up his and took a sip. "So how long you been playing guitar?"
"Since I was a little kid," He replied, putting his cup down. "Look, can I ask you something?"
"Well, you just did," She smiled cheekily, making him playfully roll his eyes. "But you can ask something else?"
"Why were you crying?" He asked but instantly regretted as her eyes filled with sorrow. "Never mind. I shouldn't have asked,"
"I feel invisible," She mumbled, making him frown as he looked over.
 "What do you mean?"
"I probably sound jealous and petty but since Adrien has gotten more popular, it's like he's forgotten who I am," She mumbled, looking down. "He doesn't treat me like his girlfriend anymore. When we first got together, he was constantly acting like I was a queen. He was kind and sweet and he made me feel wanted and loved. We shared an common interest as we both loved fashion and we thought it would be amazing for me to design some clothes for him and for him to wear them to red carpet events but he stopped telling people they were made by me, he started to flirt with his fans and was more bothered about the media coverage then me. At the red carpet events, when the press asked who I was, he would say stuff like 'oh, that's just Marinette. She's a great friend'... it's like he's ashamed to be seen with me and he acts like such a child when he doesn't get his way. We had an argument a few days before I met you. I was busy making a new outfit and he demanded that I go get him a latte. His literal words were 'hey, get me a skinny latte pronto'. Honestly, I don't care that he wanted a latte. What hurt was that he talked to me like I was nothing and expected me to drop everything when he was sat there with his feet up, doing nothing while I was trying to make a dress for my client. He had a go at me for telling him to get it himself,"
"He doesn't deserve you," Luka mumbled, making her look at him. He blushed and looked away. "I um... just ignore me,"
"Luka, are you blushing?" She asked with a slight tease in her voice. He cleared his throat and sipped his drink. "Can I ask you something?"
 "Sure,"
"Why did you play Elvis the night I met you?" She asked, causing him to blush again.
 "Um... I p-play wh-what I feel," He mumbled, shyly.
"It was 'Can't help falling in Love'," She stated before looking forward. "I like spending time with you,"
 "You do?"
"Yeah... maybe it's selfish but I don't feel invisible when I'm around you," She mumbles. "I feel important,"
"You are important," He smiled. Marinette felt her heart skip a heart beat as he looked at her with a look that she could only describe as pure love. He looked away and finished his drink. "Do you want to hold Sass?"
 "Sure,"

Luka pushed open the door of the night club. He looked around and instantly spotted Marinette, who was dressed in a short black dress and leaning against the bar. A girl with red hair was with her. He walked over and Marinette instantly jumped up, grinning as she saw him. Her friend stood up as he walked closer.
"Lu-Luka!" She slurred, stumbling forward. He caught her and helped her stand straight.
"Wow, Marinette. You're wasted," He mumbled, worry covering his face. She giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Hmm, you sme-smell really nice," She grinned. "You know I really like you, Luka! Like super like you,"
"That's nice but you're really drunk," He frowned as she leaned to kiss him. He gently pushed her away enough to stop her from kissing him. He really liked her and he had been thinking about kissing her since he met her but not like this. He would never take advantage of her or anyone. She frowned a little before he turned to her friend. "Thanks for calling me,"
"I figured you were the safe choice," She stated. "Giving that Adrien is the reason why she's pissed out of her skull,"
He frowned softly as she giggled.
"I'll get her home," He replied, gently putting his arm around her waist. "Come on, Marinette,"
"Lukaaaa. Can you sing me a song?" She huffed as he led her out of the night club and hailed a cab. "I think your voice is really sexy,"
"And I think you're very drunk and don't mean that," He states, getting her in. "What's your address, melody?"
"The Tom and Sabina bakery!" She called to the taxi driver before giggling to Luka. "I secretly live in a bakery. Don't tell anyone,"
"I won't," He smiled softly as she curled up to him as the taxi drove to the bakery.
"H-hey, why didn't you kiss me back?" She asked, looking up at him.
"Because you're drunk and I'm not that kind of guy," He states, looking at her.
"Awww! You're always so nice, Luka!" She grinned. "Such a gentleman!"
"I do try," He smiled as she started to hum. His eyes went wide as she hummed Can't Help Falling In Love. Slowly, it came to a stop and he looked down, only to see her eyes closed and her breathing slow and soft. He ran his fingers through her hair as the taxi went through traffic. It pulled up outside the bakery and Luka paid him before gently waking up Marinette. "We're here,"
"M'kay," She mumbled, sleepily. He helped her out of the car and the taxi drove off. She wondered to the side door and tried to find her keys in her back. Luka gently took it off and found them instantly before he unlocked the door. She grinned sleepily and went to head up the stairs but almost tripped. He caught her and closed the door behind them before helping her up the stairs.
 "Which one is your room?"
"That one," She grinned. "You wanna join me?"
"Not tonight," He replied, opening the door. He helped her onto the bed and took off her shoes before taking off her necklace.
"But where are you gonna sleep?"
"I'll just head back to the Liberty," He smiled but she grabbed his hand and sorrow filled her eyes.
"Please stand," She mumbled, tears in her eyes. "I don't want to be alone,"
"Alright but I'm gonna sleep on the sofa," He stated, gently getting her into bed. He moved the cover over her and gently kissed her hair. She pretty much felt asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. He smiled softly and leave the room before settling on the sofa.
 (***)
Marinette woke up with a hang over from hell. She was tired, achy and she knew she had been really drunk last night. She got up and noticed she was still in her party dress so she headed into the bathroom and took a shower before getting dressed. She wondered into the living room and saw Luka asleep on her sofa. Memories of last night flashed back into her mind and she felt her face heat up at how she had tried to kiss him yet he had pushed her away and taken her home. She owed him thanks and an explanation. Looking over at him as he slept, her heart sang a beautiful song she hadn't heard in a long time and like that, her feelings for Adrien and her feelings for Luka had became quite clear to her. She was no longer in love with Adrien Agreste and had fallen in love with Luka Couffaine. She jumped a little as he stirred. Those beautiful teal eyes stared up at her and she was pretty sure she had died and gone to heaven.
"Hey, you're up," He smiled softly, sitting up. She walked over and sat next to him.
 "I'm sorry about last night,"
"That's ok but why were you so drunk?"
"I found out Adrien had cheated on me," She replied, calmly. Luka frowned. "I got drunk because I thought it would hurt to face it. I should be hurt and angry but really.... I don't feel anything,"
"Maybe you're just blocking it out?"
"No. I think the reason why I don't feel is because I know the truth," She mumbled. "Me and Adrien stopped loving each other a long time ago. Our love is dead but I don't know if I can end it. I don't know who I am without him. All these years, I have loved him so much and now that love-"
"Marinette," He stated, pressing his fingers to her lips. "Come to the Grand Paris Hotel tomorrow at 6pm ok?"
 "O-ok,"
 (***)
Marinette walked around nervously as she looked for Luka. She spotted him talk to someone. He looked really nice, dressed in a suit. He looked over and waved. She walked over and smiled at him as a few people came over.
"Luka, who is this charming young lady?" Marinette recognized the man as a famous musician. She half expected him to do exactly what Adrien did and introduce as 'just Marinette'.
"This beautiful melody is my muse," He smiled softly at her. She blushed a little at his introduction.  "Without her, I would be lost in a world of darkness,"
Another blush lit across her face as Luka gently kissed her hand.
"In fact, I believe you're familiar with her clothing label, Miraculous," And like that, she was the center of attention. People were asking her where she got her wild ideas from and she felt important. She looked over and saw Luka, smiling softly at her like she was the most beautiful creature in the room and she realized to him, she was. A blush came across her features as he looked at her with pure admiration and love.
"Marinette?" The familiar voice of Adrien knocked her out of her thoughts. She frowned softly. "I'm surprised to see you here. I thought you'd be slaving away on another dress,"
"Well, I'm not," She frowned, looking at the young woman on Adrien's arm. She was younger, prettier and more refined then Marinette. "Replacing me already?"
"Well, since you didn't answer your phone, I had to improvise," He rolled his eyes but Marinette sighed.
"Adrien, I didn't answer my phone because I'm done," She states. "I'm done with your drama, with your father, with your expectations but mostly, I'm done with you. It's over, Adrien Agreste. Goodbye,"
With that, she turned on her heel and walked over to Luka. Adrien frowned but made no attempt to win her back, confirming her theory but Luka had done something for her that Adrien never did. He let her be herself.
"You let me take the limelight..." She mumbled. "Why?"
 "You deserve to shine,"
 "Can I ask you something?"
 "Anything you want,"
"How long have you been in love with me?"
"Since the moment I saw you in the crowd," He replied, honestly before taking her hand in his. "I can't help falling in love with you,"

Special Addition: Blu Moon
SABRINA
Gripping the stair railing I debated internally on whether or not I should hold onto my dress so I don’t fall or the hands of my children. Not wanting to end up in the hospital sooner than expected I pulled up my dress and moved the kids in front of me. I followed Izaiah and Elle down the stairs being so cautious to take my time. Once the three of us reached the ground level I resumed my place next to the kids, leading them outside. Elle has been on one all day long and I have yet to find out why. I’m thinking she’s starting to get anxious about Corey’s return. With him being away on business, making time for myself with two young children has been just about impossible.
I watched and huffed out of frustration as Elle let go of her brother’s hand, clinging to my arm.
“Hold his hand Ellena, right now.” I ordered. She followed my advice walking in between myself and Izaiah with a frown on her face. “Fix your face girl.” I huffed again, not wanting to come off bitchy but this baby is pressing into my lower back.
“Mama, I’m so hungry.” Elle complained. “When is daddy coming back? Tomorrow, yes?” She quizzed me. The happy tone in her voice mimicked the expression on her face as she mentioned her father.
“Yes, daddy will be home tomorrow morning.” I sighed. Izaiah distracted Elle with conversation followed by a round of eye spy. With his assistance on calming Ellena down we made it to my car. “Come here Elle..” Scooping her up off the ground I situated her in her car seat. “Zay, hand me that bag please.” Pointing to the small pouch below Izaiah’s feet I held my hand out for him to place it in my possession.
“Es eso para papa?” He smirked.
I nodded and laughed alongside him. “Si, para tu padre.” Corey is constantly finding new hiding places in my car and the house for his guns. Finding his weapons in various locations never fails to make my eyes roll to the back of my head.
“Mom, what is that? Me das?” Ellena questioned with the utmost curiosity.
Shaking my head promptly I adjusted her seatbelt and stood up straight. “No missy you cannot hold this. This is not a toy.” Closing the back door I hobbled to the driver side of the car, halting as I opened the door. Repeatedly I counted my breaths, slowly making an advance to get behind the wheel.
Once I got the engine going I made a phone call, praying that Corey will answer. I spoke to him briefly and then turned my phone over to Ellena so she could hear her dad’s voice. They talked most of the ride home. I had to tell her three times to let Izaiah get some time on the phone as well. Whatever Corey said to our daughter worked magic on her attitude and behavior. That is until she became hungry again.
“Mommy! Tengo hambre! Quiero rellenos y sopa de lentejas. Mommy!” She hollered in the midst of giggling.
Throwing my head back on the couch I rubbed my palm over my belly, listening to Corey cackle in my ear.
“My sweet baby. She misses me.” Corey continues to chuckle.
“Please, please tell me you’re coming home in the morning for sure. I’m close to shutting down and I don’t know how much more I can take. She’s been up and down all day. Real high and real low.” Gripping my shirt I scrunched the fabric under my breasts, exposing all of my stomach.
“Yes ma’am. First thing.” He confirmed.
“Best news I’ve heard all day. She’s literally driving me insane. Are you sure you’ll be back when you said? What if your flight is delayed and you’re not here before the shower starts? You’re supposed to be here before everyone else to help me get the kids ready.” The slightest inkling that Corey will be late for this baby shower is starting to stress me out.
We’ve been planning this for months and I will have a meltdown if guests arrive before Corey.
“I thought we agreed on you not over exaggerating? Hm?”
“Si, pero this is different. I’m anxious, Corey. Just don’t forget to get up on time.”
“Estare allí mi amor. Get some rest after you eat and don’t be a bruja to my little girl.” He chuckled deeply.
Scoffing at his choice of word I hung up the phone and stood up from the couch. Pulling my shirt down over my stomach I went looking for my kids. “Ellena?” I called out to her. My phone rang but instead of answering I gave it to Elle.
She glanced at the screen and her eyes lit up. Without hesitation she answered the incoming FaceTime with a huge smile on her face.
“Hi daddy, what are you doing? Where is your shirt?” Being naturally inquisitive runs in this family. My mom loves to make fun of how many questions Elle and Izaiah ask when they don’t know or are unsure of something.
“If it isn't my favorite girl in all the land. I just took a shower that’s why I don’t have a shirt on. How are you doing, my love?”
Seeing them talk switched my mood just that quick. I became hungry all of a sudden, Izaiah started to complain about food as well so I got started on Elena’s request. I hope that Corey has more magical words to say to her so that I can get through this final night without him minus the headache.
———- ———
*The following afternoon*
“I told you I would be back in time. I think I deserve an apology for you thinking I’d be late.”
A sultry voice that matches my husband spooked me even though I saw him from the corner of my eye. Only because I have minimal steps left until my makeup is done, I freed my hands to greet my man. With my arms wrapped around him we embraced one another and exchanged affection.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have doubted you. How was your flight?” Pulling back I took a good look at him head to toe realizing he got work done. “Your entire leg? I thought you said after the baby is here you’d start getting tattooed again. You just couldn’t wait huh?” I teased.
Corey shook his head, showcased his new ink job, wowing me to the core. “You like it? Six hours in the chair for this one.”
“Of course I like it but you left a space here..that looks funny..” I pointed out. I’m far too pregnant to be bending or kneeling so Corey helped out by sitting on the edge of the bed and propping his leg up. Examining closely I recognized his leg piece is all related to his life and the timeline of it. “Is that the scan of my heart that I got done when I found out I was pregnant?”
“Yes ma’am. I wanted a piece of you and the kids on my body forever. Once the baby is here I’ll be able to figure out what to get for him or her. That’s what the empty space is for.” Corey began explaining to me the meaning behind each of his new tattoos just as Izaiah walked into the room. Elle was dragging behind with her dress stained, her shoes unbuckled and her hair all over the place.
Throwing my hands up I sped to the bathroom to finish getting ready. In silence Corey took Elle down to her room to get her cleaned up for the second time.
Ellena had to be put down for a nap before the baby shower began. Corey was definitely on Elle duty in order to get her into a ready to sleep mood. However, I had no choice but to step in and let my little girl get a sample of what she’s forgotten all about to help really knock her out. Breast milk. My sweet nena used to fall into a deep sleep after being fed. It didn’t matter where we were. As long as she had her milk, she got more than the proper amount of rest that young children need. I was so anxious that even the little bit of milk she had would revert her to the past. She proved me wrong. She’s forgotten all about my breast milk.
Coming out of the bathroom, I bumped into my uncle who I’ve been waiting for to arrive for hours now. My heart rate sped up and drastically slowed the longer we exchanged looks.
“My Sabrina, you look beautiful as always.” He smiled at me gently.
Outstretching my arms I walked toward him. Hugging the closest human being to my father aside from my mother is bringing forth so many emotions. I miss my dad more than ever right now.
“You smell just like him. I’m really happy that you made it.” Backing up to look him in the eye I rubbed my eyes dry. “I’m sorry, I said I wouldn’t cry but I can’t help it.”
“You should not be apologizing for missing your father, Lori. You know that he's with you always. How are you feeling? How’s pregnancy?” He asked.
Breathing softly I nodded and continued to weep. “It’s so wonderful. I’m exhausted but thrilled to find out what we’re having. Was your flight alright?” He and I went back and forth with questions until the main event came upon us.
I went to join Corey behind the box wrapped in a pearl color wrapping paper. The sun is shining, the flowers in our yard are in full bloom and the energy around me is washing away my anxiety about the minutes to come.
“It’s been a long time coming. Are you sure you’re ready? You can always change your mind.” Corey cupped the nape of my neck easily, opening that door of option two for me.
I took a slow, controlled breath and denied his invitation. “I really want to know. It’s better for us both and I’m ready. At first I was fine with waiting but I’m ready now.”
We both carried on with conversation until my uncle, our parents and Ravyn started the countdown. The moment Corey and I have been holding out for is finally here since the day we were able to find out the sex of this baby. It was Corey’s idea to wait until the birth but I’m dying to know the gender! The count down from ten to one was fast. I heard the numbers in slow motion but the second he and I cut the gigantic metallic ribbon off of the box, bluebirds flew in the air. They swarmed over us followed by blush pink glitter and rose petals.
Again, someone included an element to remind me of my dad. Bluebirds were his favorite of the bird species. He had four as pets before I came along and two after I was born. Rather than getting emotional with tears, I felt my cheeks and jaws beginning to hurt from all the smiling. We’re having another little girl. Corey gets another princess to spoil until we’re no longer here and I can’t express with words how happy I am right now.
“Damn, I’m in shock. We’re having another baby girl.” I heard Corey speak. We simultaneously turned to look at each and that’s when I began to cry. I embraced him just as he embraced me. Together we exchanged our feelings on the conclusive evidence that we’re having one more girl. “I’ve been saying for months how I just knew we’d have another one of you. I knew it and to think I began doubting my own instincts. Thank you for making me a father, Lori.” His lips against my head filled me with butterflies and good thoughts on what’s to come.
——— ——-
“Happy Father’s Day, my love.” I haven’t stopped smiling since the moment we found out the sex of this baby. The rest of the party was great. Our friends and family had so much love to share and blessings to wish over us. Izaiah was really happy to have family around that we haven’t seen lately to celebrate this day with us. Seeing him and Ellena interact with their aunts, uncles, and cousins was heartwarming for both Corey and myself.
“No, thank you. A million times over do I mean that. I wouldn’t be a father if it weren’t for me switching old boy’s sperm with mine. What was his name again?” He joked.
“It’s sad that you’re making jokes but it’s hilarious that you genuinely forgot. It’s not like it matters anyhow.” Putting the top back on the lotion he began unraveling the braid in my hair.
He drew circles on my scalp with the pads of his fingers. The act drew up sounds of relief and brought my shoulders back to level position. Suddenly Corey stood up and walked around the room, analyzing.
“Que paso?” I spoke up.
“Nothing, I’m just in awe. I really don’t think you understand how different our lives are thanks to my idiocy some time ago. Aside from the fact that I was drunk, I was a little jealous of who you were initially starting a family with.” Corey held out his hand to help me stand.
“This is news to me.” I’m stunned at his confession.
He led the way to the nursery, which is far from finished, and turned the lights up.
“I couldn’t possibly imagine not being there, the night of your thirtieth birthday and intercepting your initial plans and ending up here.” Toying with the decor and finally sitting in the plush rocking chair, he invited me into his lap. In silence we mirrored each other’s actions.
“You still like the name Leija?” I asked him, tenderly caressing the nape of his warm neck.
He turned to me and graced my question with a genuine smile of acceptance. “More so now then when you brought it up to begin with. I’m not going through with that procedure but I do agree that three is enough for me. If that’s okay with you.” His addition of the last remark tickled me pink.
“That’s okay baby. Three is good and now we’ll have our five. Between Ellena and Zay, I think we’re set for life.” I laughed. Peering down at my beyond visible belly I ran my free hand all over it. “And this angelita is the cherry on top. I have a gut feeling that she’ll just like Ellena. Full of life, sass, character and much more.”
Corey agreed, drawing me in closer to lay against me. “I love you Sabrina, always and forever.”
Corey and I have reached the ultimate peak in our lives. We have the house, nuestra familia, our success and peace of mind. I can’t wait to see what joy and excitement our new baby girl will bring us.

The College Society Chapter 4 Part 9
Next part!
Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey Saturday April 20
What had he said again ? I won't protect you anyway. Right. Fucking joke. Who the hell had he tried to fool ? His past self would've laugh so much at his actual self. He was fucking ridiculous. He perfectly knew Lucy the whore had something in mind. She and bitchy Miranda wanted to catch Liam, he had no doubt about that. Pretty obvious that the loser would take Doll man. They even bring along a third weel for Fatty roommate. Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey had all the reason in the world to go there and fuck the two dickhead right away. So why on earth was he hidden behind a fucking tree ? Why the hell was he only watching for afar uh ? Oh yeah the plan. Because Liam thought he could deal with that alone, the Dean's grandson had decided to trust him. What an idiot I am. Anyway, it would be good for his boyfriend if he was able to do something by himself. It would help his confidence. And a confident Liam was a ballsy and naughty Liam. A win-win situation. If only the baboon manage to escape the so-called witch, that is. The group headed towards the subway and he followed suit. He observed them through a newspaper, which attracted the attention of two old hags. Want to suck my dick ? I'm already dying of embarassment, don't make it harder. For now, Lucy was doing most of the conversation. Miranda tried to cling on to Liam, but he slipped away. Nice one babe. Eventually, they arrived at their destination : a fancy restaurant, which also had a dance hall. Would you believe ! Fuck the site which had revealed the baboon was a walking stomach.
"Sir are you alone ?"
Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey glared at the waiter.
"What do you think moron ? One table, and not far from this group."
The idiot looked at the pointed direction and made a face. Oh please.
"I'm sorry but..."
"Here's my ID. My family owns this place. Any other remark ?"
"No of course not. Follow me sir."
Yes, the junior knew this poor waiter only did his job. But damn he was just so pissed. I'll contact him later for sex. Hope it will make it even.
To say Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey was interested by the way Liam ate was completly wrong. It just happened in front of him so often that he became used to watch. Speaking of, watching the baboon from afar made the junior almost moan in public. Almost. Fuck that. I hate this world. Liam wasn't a messy eater at all. Quite the opposite actually : he had a certain charm and timidy while eating. He always started by his less favorite dish, and at a slow pace. Throughout his meal, his speed would increase. The baboon made always a point at being well-groomed and now wasn't an exception. From his spot, Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey observed him licking his lips several times. And damnit that was hot. The idiotic girls gave many plates to the baboon but they didn't feed him, which probably saved their life from the junior's wrath. Liam's body language was graceful, with no useless movement. His eyes. They're shining so much it blinds me from here. Damn. Damn. The waiter didn't comment on the Dean's grandson weird behavior, but he obviously saw his hard-on. You would be aroused too if your boyfriend was that hot ! Fuck you. Around the fourth or fifth plate (nobody counts those), another thing happened. Liam's belly started to grow. It was nothing but Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey was staring too much to not notice. The baboon had always been attractive. His recently acquired chubbiness made him even more handsome. And when he started to get stuffed... This is terrible.
"Sir, do you want anything with your coffee ?" asked the ever-patient waiter.
Man. I just... Fuck.
"You. Me. Bathroom for a quickie. Is that fucking alright ?" the blond lad suggested.
"We can do that." smiled the other.
When he came back in the room, he felt calmed. His desires were temporaly satisfied and the waiter had been nice enough to forgive him for his rudeness. After that, I'm sure he would've offered me the moon. Fatty roommate was still at their table with Third weel. As for Liam, the two bitches dragged him and Doll Man to the dance floor. For now, the baboon was barely moving, just watching them wriggle like two turkeys. Maybe I should go there and put an end to this ridiculous date ? Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey's phone suddenly rang.
"Best spy of the world to biggest penis of the world." said Nancy when he answered. "Got news for you."
"I'm listenning."
"I managed to track the IP of the moderator of the site in Canada." she revealed. "His name is George Blikes."
One dead man. I swear once I find you dude.
"But that's not all." Nancy continued. "I did a check of his background and bingo ! George is Samy's ex from highschool. Officially they're not in contact anymore but it's easy to keep these things secrets now."
"Samy." Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey muttered.
This... Fucking braindead asshole. Stupid fuckup. She would never see the light again. I need to call D.R. That could wait. Once his boyfriend safe, he would pay the asshole a visit. A very awaited visit. However, he had another problem at hands. Because his boyfriend just broke Lucy's nose with a probably deserved but yet violent punch in the face.
Liam Saturday April 20
"Are you sure you don't wanna dance ?" asked Lucy for the third time.
"I'm fine thanks." the lad politely declined.
Throughout lunch, he had understood two things. Firstly, the witch intented to charm him in order to corrupt his energy. This way, she would poison the unicorns and kill them. Secondly, the force of lights were stronger than he had imagined. It's no surprise the unicorns sent Colton to help me. His friend's dance was so graceful that it fascinated the human sacrifice named Miranda. And Nick was distracting the other, a girl Lucy introduced as Velma. The chestnut lad himself was well-fed and in top form. I can focus on our main ennemy : the witch. She smiled to him.
"Tell me pretty boy, I heard from a friend you were into food games a lot. I have an offer for you." she suggested. "I'll let you do things to me for each additionnal plate you eat. How does it sound ?"
Very evil ? He had yet to find a way to defeat her without violence. Maybe he needed to reason her...
"It's tempting." he lied. "At least the food part."
I wonder what Damian would think about that. Liam could do many things to him while stuffing his face with delicious cuisine. Maybe stripping him one clothe after the other for each plate he finished... And why not make bolder and bolder caresses, going closer to his intimate parts...
"You're dribbling." Lucy hissed. "Are you that much of a feedee ?"
The young lad blushed. Whatever he had been thinking was better forgotten. Or not. (He mentally decided to keep the idea for latter). Anyway back to the main topic. He had a witch to beat.
"Why're you doing this ?" he asked. "What did they promise you in exchange ?"
She blinked, seemingly confused.
"Can't a woman woo a man she finds attractive ?" she countered. "You're my type you know ?"
"C'mon I know you've a purpose... Do you know this is bad ? You shouldn't force people to do things they don't want. You look like a nice girl, you should follow the right path."
He was kinda proud of his little speech. Let's hope it'll make her change her mind. Lucy frowned and took several seconds to think. Maybe something was bothering her ?
"Is it about the money ?" she finally asked. "We can share if that's what you want."
The forces of evil hired her of course. Maybe it was Liam's own father who did such a malevolent thing ?
"Sorry but you won't corrupt me that easily. I don't want any dirty money. And you neither, it only brings problem. What if the cops are after you ?"
He was convinced the police were an army enterily built by the unicorns to maintain order. Lucy grunted.
"Nobody has to know. It'll be fast, just some photo and we're good..." she mutterred. "Don't be a prick."
The chestnut lad was about to decline (again) when his phone rang. Surprisingly, it was his sister Chloe. What is it ? She never calls unless it's important.
"Sorry but I need to take that." he said.
He entered in the bathroom to talk peacefully. A groggy waiter was leaving, but otherwise, it was empty.
"Hi sis." he answered.w "Is everything okay ?"
A muffled noise told him it was not. He had been knowing Chloe for the fifteen years of her life and he could count on one hand the times she had cried. Even as a baby, she had been way more tough than Luka or him. The last time he heard her sobbing was when he had been accused of manslaughter. It was a sound he resented. A sound he was hearing now.
"Chloe ? What it is ? Can you talk ?"
She only cried louder. He cursed his own helplessness. Why was he here and not with her ? What a stupid big brother ! Stop that Liam. Now is not the time to lament on yourself. She needs you.
"I'm here sis. Right here." he assured. "You can cry as much as you want, I won't leave until you're feeling better."
"It's silly." she mumbled. "Sorry for worrying you."
Don't be. Don't do that. She had always been very mature and serious. A commom joke between them was to call her mother number two. But Liam would always worry about her. She was still a teenager. In light of his past actions, she had often kept her feelings for herself to not put any additional pressure on him. That was his beautiful and strong sister, who always protected him.
"I..." she whispered. "I just miss mom. That's stupid isn't it ? I lost a race today and I was so disappointed. I needed someone to talk but heck, all my friends are in another town. My mother is in another town. And I can't call her when I'm like that. She'll blow a fuse and come right away."
He never hated his family's situation more than at this moment.
"Can I tell you my day ?" she asked. "Just for a moment and I'll be fine."
"Whatever you want sis. Whatever you want."
When he left the bathroom, Liam had only one desire. To sleep. Even if it was only three in the afternoon and he had work later. Chloe was feeling better, which was a plus, but it only made him realise how everything was still so... wrong. She's way stronger than me that's for sure. However, the freshman barely got the time to breath. Lucy alsmot went for his throat.
"Welcome back handsome." she chirped. "What took so long ?"
"That's not your business." he replied. "And I'm sorry but I need to go."
He could feel an headache incoming. I'm so tired.
"Certainly not." the girl said. "I didn't suck my ego to hit on a dumbass like you for nothing. Come here."
She grabbed her arm and tried to lead him towards the bathroom. Which was ridiculous because he was bigger and heavier.
"Let me go please." he asked. "I'm not in the mood for anything you want to do."
Lucy ignored him. She strengthened her grip, making him wince in pain. He tried to free himself, but the girl suddenly pushed him on the wall. Her hands find a way to his crotch. And that was the final straw. He has enough of her, her scheme and her rudeness. Couldn't she let him alone ?! Pushed by his instinct, he did what he thought necessary to made her back off. He distincly heard a loud crack when his fist smashed her face open. He felt more than he saw everyone looking at them. He heard her scream of pain. And his slow brain realised he was doing another panic attack.
"You hit me in the face !" she yelled.
All he noticed was the blood. He heard thunder. Someone shouted.
"Kilian !"
No. No no no. A familiar head of blond hair ran towards him. He was back one year ago on this road. The young lad paniced. He knocked whoever tried to grab him over. He glanced at the exit. It wasn't far. Maybe he could go for it.
"Liam Strucker, you're charged of manslaughter by the present tribunal. What do you plead ?"
The chesnut lad ran. His legs moved on their own.
"What do you plead ?"
The crack of Lucy's bones resonated in his mind. He pushed the door and hurtled in the street. He had no time to lose. He needed to go the farthest possible.
"What do you plead ?"
Guilty. I'm guilty of everything. I hurt Kilian. I destroyed my family. I hurt Lucy. I did all that.
Nicolas Saturday April 20
The not-a-date rendez-vous went from 0 to 100 in a split second. The young lad was discreetly trying to play at pokemon while Velma was making the conversation when they heard the scream. The first thing he noticed was Liam's fist, covered in blood. Lucy fell on her knees, writhed in pain. Holy shit. Everything went crazy. Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey left his hideout (not that he was very discreet to begin with) and rushed towards his boyfriend. But this one didn't hear him. He jostled a waiter and ran to the door. Nick barely had the time to get up before his roommate disappeared in the street. What the hell was that ?
"He hit me !" shouted Lucy. "That fucking moron hit me !"
Her friends were already at her side. Miranda was agitated, while Velma only watched from afar. Something is wrong.
"What took him ?" asked Colton. "He's usually better at handling his emotions."
"Dunno dude." the geek replied.
They both came closer. Her nose is broken. That's not pretty.
"He'll hear about me !" Lucy assured. "I swear to god, I will report him ! This prey is crazy ! The hunt is not worth it."
Nick froze. What did she just say ? Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey ordered her to shut the fuck up. He then turned to the boys.
"Doll man, Fatty roommate. We need to find him before he does something even stupider. Any ideas ?"
Colton answered, but the dark-haired freshman didn't listen. The hunt ? His brain was thinking fast. Imagenius talked about a reward. And Beauty admitted her boss was Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey... Is it possible that Liam is the prey ? Is he being used ? It would explain why a lot of their fellow students were interested in him. (Yes Liam was hot, but nobody was hot enough to interest that many people, except maybe this soccer player Muller something).
"Earth to fatty roommate !" yelled the Dean's grandson to get his attention. "Colton is going to the park and I go to Pasta's Place just in case. You go back to your apartment. If he's not here, check with Nate if he has any idea. Okay ?"
Nick ogled him. Could he be only involved for the reward ? Now wasn't the time to think about it. They needed to find Liam. But I will clear that mess up...
When he arrived at the apartment, the dark-haired lad knew Liam would be there. A trail of broken trash can said it all. He entered silently, hoping to find his friend in a better mood than half an hour ago.
"What the hell happened back there dude ?"
Nick shrieked like a girl when a tall shadow blocked his view. A monster !! He heard the sound of chewing.
"Woah chill pal. It's me."
He finally noticed Archie. For someone his size, this damn footballer could be very discreet. He scared the hell out of me that bastard. It wasn't unusual for him to come over and talk with Nate when they were away. He's a friend of Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey... I wonder if he's a hunter ?
"So ?"
"Liam freaked out because of what Lucy did." explained Nick. "I don't know the specifics, but it was related to the hunt or something ? He paniced."
If Archie knew something, he hid it well. He looked at the geek with his two big eyes and grabbed an handful of crips.
"Damn that sucks." he said. "Nate is with him right now so Imma get going. Text me if there is anything I can do."
"Sure."
Nick waited an hour before he sent a text to Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey. To let my poor roommate breathe. Then, himself knocked at Liam's door. Nate opened and outlined a brief smile. Behind him, it was pretty clear that their friend had fallen asleep. He had work tonight, but maybe her boss would be cool about it. Once he was sure everything was under control, the dark-haired lad headed to his bedroom. He heard the Dean's grandson strom into the apartment, but it wasn't his problem anymore. I have a more urgent business. There is something really weird going on and I want to find what. It was for Liam's safety but also to satisfy his curiousity.
*TheSavior opened a private chat with Abeautifulwoman*
< TheSavior : Yo. >
< Abeautifulwoman : You put a period ! Is it your diet ? Look idk how fat you are but I'm sure you can get rid of a few kilo easy peasy ! I believe in yu boss ! >
Yeah I'll come back to you about that. Until now, he hated this whole diet idea with his whole being. But it was necessary.
< TheSavior : It had nothing to do with my diet. I want you to tell me what the hunt is about. >
< Abeautifulwoman : Not you too... Bro I swear this is a dangerous thing. You don't want to be involved >
She already said that to Imagenius. But Nick had more or less understood what it was about. He only needed confirmation.
< TheSavior : Look beauty. My friend is Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey's boyfriend. From what I witnessed today and in the past weeks, I can tell there are a lot of people after him. I know your boss is a hunter, and I know he's not very sympatic, but I do hope he likes me a bit. All I want is to know what is going on. Is my roommate not safe ? Is it Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey's fault ? >
< Abeautifulwoman : ... Who are you ? How can I be sure you're Sav ? This is too much of a coincidence. Are you working for Samy ?! Just know that we're after you. D.R and us won't let you get away with it. >
< TheSavior : are you serious right now ? >
*Abeautifulwoman is disconnected*
The fuck ? Seriously ?! Nick grunted. That idiot ! But if it was a big deal, he could understand her distrust. It hurts, but she gave him some info to work with anyway. Samy uh ? And D.R... He didn't like the idea of Damian Nicholas Smith Carrey being a manipulative asshole who was using Liam. He doesn't even look the part. But it was a possibility. He needed to investigate more... Nick would know everything about the hunters and the famous hunt.
To be continued
When you’re hunting, and the prey is way stronger than you.
Lucy is stupid but no, I don’t encourage violence of any kind. Liam wasn’t right, but he’s human, and it’s well know he can’t control his emotions very well.
Nick is going to the end of it. He will. Maybe!

thirty days of development: ivy
Everybody needs a little poison ivy
+ Day One: Introduce your muse. Are they solo or in a group? What is their position in the group? Consider this day the day for writing the basics.
Kang Yumi is a vocal and dance soloist with Dimensions. Both her persona and real life personality are reserved, but that is where the similarities end. Yumi is kind and warmhearted. She is also demisexual, so any sexual encounters are only after she has developed an emotional connection. Ivy, however, is bolder. She is sexy, cold, and cool. People see her as something untouchable, even though that is far from the truth.
+ Day Two: Talk about your muse’s childhood. Where did they grow up? Did they have any dream jobs besides being an idol? When did they realize they wanted to be an idol?
Yumi was raised on a rice farm in Pocheon, South Korea. She has very humble origins and has never lost sight of where she came from. As a kid, all she wanted was to be a professional ballerina. Really, to this day, she would be perfectly happy being one. She really only became an idol because it was an opportunity to dance and to make money for her impoverished family. However, she loves it now. Really, it was the best accident ever.
+ Day Three: Take us back to when your muse was either recruited or auditioned to become an idol. How did that go? How did they feel getting up on stage for recruiters? If your muse could give their younger selves advice before the audition, what would they say?
Yumi was recruited when she was fifteen years old. She was doing a performance with her ballet class in her hometown and there happened to be a scout for Dimensions in the audience. Really, that was about as much of an audition as they needed. She was a very skilled dancer and also, in all honesty, she partially got recruited because she was just that pretty. Yumi would probably go back and tell her younger self that it would be okay, that all those hard times were worth it. Also, that being in love really sucked.
+ Day Four: Remember the trainee days? What are some of your muse’s memories of being a trainee? How long were they a trainee? Were they worried about potentially not making a debut? Talk about any challenges they might have encountered.
Being a trainee was a complicated time for Yumi. She was living in a big city for the first time in her life, away from her immediate family. Yumi was mostly very focused during her time as a trainee. If she wasn’t dancing or singing, she was doing homework. Her parents gave her aunt strict orders to make sure Yumi focused on her work because there was definitely a chance this would not work out. She hung out with a lot of the fellow dance obsessed people because they respected her dedication, but there was a lot of jealousy. Yumi was worried about not making a debut because that would have meant she wasted a few years she could have been auditioning for dance schools. She would have still been happy doing ballet. The biggest challenge for her was practicing her vocals because she had absolutely no vocal training beforehand. It was honestly much more difficult than learning all the different dance styles, which was a lot more natural for her.
+ Day Five: Recall your muse’s debut. What was the song they debuted with? How did it feel performing for the first time on stage as an idol? Feel free to bring up their thoughts about the concept, choreography, lyrics, music video, or other components.
This is a bit of a complicated question because Yumi technically debuted twice. Her first debut was with Nebula (which has no official discography, though I picture it kind of Chocolat because underappreciated beans who had good intentions, even if it did not pan out well, and they deserve the love; my headcanon is they first performed Syndrome probably though). Her first time on stage as an idol was with the rest of Nebula. The concept was fine with her. She liked the music and the outfits, though they were not exactly teeming with star power. Her second debut was different because yes, Nebula had some sexier comebacks, but as Ivy, she was full on sexy. The dancing was hella sensual. She appreciated the fluidity with which she had to perform though. Honestly, she preferred her second debut. At least no one was trying to trip her during Irreversible.
+ Day Six: What concept does your muse think they can pull off best? Cutesy? Manly? Sexy? What concept do they have a hard time pulling off? What kind of concept would they want to do at some point?
After having the same concept for a decade, Yumi does not have any complaints. Reserved and sexy is fine with her, though she is sometimes amused when people realize she is asexual. For Yumi, it is a part of her image as Ivy to be sensual. She doesn’t feel one way or another. Quite honestly, a cutesy concept would be very hard for her at this point. She is not very outgoing in that way and way too shy.
+ Day Seven: Which era is your muse’s favorite in their career? Why is it their favorite (think concept, promotions, choreography, etc.)? If your muse has recently debuted, talk about what they would want to do for their next comeback.
If we are discussing the classics, Yumi really liked the Full Moon era. She has never quite captured that otherworldly vampireness again. It was quirky and different; she liked it. Also the costuming was gorgeous for it. She is proud that a lot of people still consider it a bop. Of course, she has a soft spot for Gashina. The song was catchy and she appreciated the artistic approach they took. The choreography was a lot more fluid than she got to do in a while, so she has no complaints. Honestly, if she could incorporate ballet in a music video, she would be golden.
+ Day Eight: Talk about your muse’s strengths and weaknesses as an idol. Feel free to discuss their own personal thoughts regarding these components. Think of qualities such as vocals, dancing, visuals, acting skills, and variety show skills, for example.
Yumi is a decent actress. She has these moments of earnestness on screen that really make her shine. However, she doesn’t have the widest range. She can play bitchy characters or shy girls. That is about it. But, she is good at it and brings a maturity to certain roles. Her dancing and vocals are both very prominent, though she was a bit rougher on the latter earlier in her career. She will never be a rapper, though. Her variety skills are also non-existent unless it is based on performing (like King of Masked Singer). She is friendly, but just not the most compelling to watch joke around with the hosts.
+ Day Nine: What is your muse’s fashion style? Talk about what kind of clothes they love to wear. To them, what is the essential thing to have in their closet? What is their favorite outfit?
Yumi was very confused about clothing when she moved to Seoul because yes, she had opinions, but it did not matter that she had opinions. She had to wear whatever her older sisters no longer fit into. Her preference is flowing dresses and wide brimmed hats. She likes summer best, especially now that she is not working in fields. She is also down to wear some plaid button downs and jeans if she has to do labor (but, she never really has to do that unless she decided to help her family when she goes back home because she is not a lazy bum). However, people very much want to put her in little black dresses or sparkles. She doesn’t mind. In the winter, she likes heavy wool coats because she gets cold very easily.
+ Day Ten: Talk about your muse’s three closest friends. How did they meet? How long have they known each other? What do they love most about their friends?
Yumi is friends with a lot of people younger than her because they just gravitate towards this very friendly noona/unnie who is willing to help them navigate the entertainment industry. She usually meets them while acting or backstage at variety shows. She even makes it a policy to get to know her backup dancers and the trainees that dance with her. They are usually a bit excitable, but she thinks it is cute. She is also friends with people her age in the industry because old people need to stick together. Yumi is still close with her sisters as well, calling them whenever she has a chance. There are six of them though, so it is a bit hard to coordinate a group phone call. Usually, she has to go one by one.
+ Day Eleven: Has your muse had any scandals? How have these scandals affected your muse as an idol or as a person? If your muse has not had any scandals, talk about their views on scandals. Is all publicity good publicity?
Despite her image, Yumi has not had any public scandals. However, she got dangerously close when she became engaged. Off-screen, it was the first time she had ever given the company any sort of trouble. Sure, she was off a reasonable enough age to get married but her doing so would have killed the fantasy for many people. So, she would have likely have to leave Dimensions at the very least and rebrand with a new concept, unless she was willing to question the sexism within the industry. She doesn’t really hold people’s scandals against them unless they are less “I smoked drugs once” and more “Burning Sun”. For her, it is all about the product/effort you put into your work. If you are good at your job, why should your personal life be a big deal?
+ Day Twelve: If your muse is in a group, what are the fun things about promoting with other members? What do they love about being in a group? What do they love about their members? If your muse is a solo artist, what are their thoughts on promoting alone? What do they love about being solo?
Promoting with the other members of Nebula was never fun, especially since Yumi was always comparing herself to the others. She did not feel as talented as some of them at times, though, her hard work changed that. There is not a single member she looks back at fondly. Promoting was a nightmare and Yumi mostly just read books while they traveled. Or, she watched dance practice videos so she could incorporate her observations while practicing alone later. She does not mind promoting alone because she is such a reserved person. She wouldn’t mind spreading the attention on the actual stage, but she is so used to it at this point, she does not mind. Plus, it is admittedly nice to have no one impeding her spark.
+ Day Thirteen: For the muses in a group, what are the challenges of being one of several people in a group? Have there been any troubles that have come along with being in a group environment and times they wish they were alone? For the solo artist muses, have you ever felt lonely promoting alone? Do you ever wish that you were in a group instead?
Yumi sometimes wonders if she just got unlucky with Nebula because plenty of other groups are out there actually practicing camaraderie and supporting each other through all their comebacks. She really wishes she could have had that experience, especially when she has to lie in front of the camera about her time in Nebula. Honestly, everyone probably knows things were not good between her and the rest of the girls, but Yumi is not going to be the one to bring it to light. It was over a decade ago; it is time to move on. She likes being a solo artist just because it gives her a bit more versatility. They can play a bit with her comebacks and don’t have to coordinate with anyone else. She might get a little lonely promoting alone, but she has a real good crew to keep her company at least.
+ Day Fourteen: If your muse is in a group, how do you think they would have fared had they had a solo career instead? What kind of concept would they have? If your muse is a solo artist, how do you think they would have fared if they were in an idol group? What position of the group do you think they would have?
Yumi has been a part of both so far. Had she been a part of a nicer group, she might not have strove to be as strong vocally (dancing was always going to be her main goal), but she would have probably been better adjusted for most of her life. If some type of  Unnies-esque group would form she would be down. She would have preferred a main dancer position in Nebula, but she was young and still had to learn. As a soloist, she doesn’t mind her concept, would probably not be against something more artsy.
+ Day Fifteen: Who does your muse look up to in the industry? Why do they look up to this person?
At this point in life, Ivy is the one you look up to in the industry; there aren’t many people older than her within it. Though she has remained with Dimensions for years, she really does not think much of her C.E.O. (she has been a part of the Dimensions system; she watched a lot of people crumble under it, though she herself was never really a victim). She usually avoids his nephew as well because lord knows she will not be accused of dating the guy she basically works for. No, for her, it is all about Bang Sunyoung. She is an actor, a dancer, and started an entire empire. The two of them are not that far apart in age, so Ivy would kill to collaborate with her, though it would probably never happen. Honestly, had Gold Star Media been more established by the time Nebula had been disbanded and had Dimensions not offered Ivy a solo, there would have been a good chance Ivy would have found herself working for Gold Star.
+ Day Sixteen: If your muse could do a special stage with another artist or idol group, who would it be and why? What song would they perform?
Aside from her majesty Sunyoung, Ivy would enjoy doing a special stage with Lucid. She likes their darker concept more than their bubblier concept, and it would be easy enough to coordinate considering they are within the same company. Besides, she likes supporting her dongsaengs. She wouldn’t mind doing any of those singles since they are in fact very impressive dance numbers as well. But, she could also see them performing Full Moon or some type of mashup.
+ Day Seventeen: How would your muse fare in a variety show? If your muse could appear on any variety show, which variety would it be and why? If you don’t have a lot of knowledge of variety shows, talk about what kind of variety show they would go on.
Watching Yumi on a variety show is an experience, for sure. She is great at performing, but is not the best public speaker. She needs practice and honestly, it is her least favorite part of being an idol. As an actor, she follows the lines religiously. So, she is never great if all that is involved is talking or being generally silly. She is good at variety shows that involve competition and less ad-libbing. Yumi would dominate in King of Mask Singer or Dancing with the Stars. She likely performed when Hit the Stage was on air as well.
+ Day Eighteen: What entertainment agency is your muse a part of? What do they think of other groups and artists that are in the same agency as them? Which labelmates do they get along with the most, excluding group members?
Yumi is a member of Dimensions Entertainment, which has somewhat of a sketchy reputation for how it treats its trainees. She respects the other artists in the agency and likes to look after the younger idols. While she does like all the groups well enough, it is no secret that her favorite group is Lucid. They are newer than a lot of groups within the industry. Plus, she also respects that they are taking risks with their music and the complex choreography. If any of them asked to perform with her or to have them take her under their wing, she would do it in a heartbeat.
+ Day Nineteen: Is there anything besides idol activities that your muse would want to do? Would they want to take their hand at hosting a variety show or act in a television show or drama? Would they want to try out modeling or a musical? If they have done things such as these, talk about their thoughts toward these things.
Yumi became an actor out of convenience. She wanted to make sure she stayed in the spotlight long enough to make it to her next comeback. Really, if there was an idol option of doing ballet, she might have considered that. The only reason she did not do modeling was because she was sure she would have definitely been bored doing; also, she does not like using only her looks for anything. Her first role at least had a decent amount of dancing and using her skills as a vocalist. Really, that was probably why she got the role despite her lack of acting experience.  Since then, she has gotten better and is coveted for more mature roles. The genre does not always matter, as people just like that she is willing to step outside the box and challenge patriarchal norms.
+ Day Twenty: If your muse was able to be a part of a supergroup that comprised of current idols, who would they want to be in the same group and why? What kind of concept would this group have? How do you think the group would do in terms of popularity?
It might be interesting to do a supergroup full of other members of Dimensions Entertainment. She is fine with a co-ed one, but an all-girl group could definitely be empowering. The concept would be something dance based (because of course it is) and fun. Maybe a little edgy or experimental. They would probably not do many comebacks, but it could be interesting to keep the fans interested during breaks. Some group members would be more popular than others, but Ivy would look after everyone.
+ Day Twenty-One: How does your muse feel about their fans? How do they feel about sasaeng fans? How would they handle a situation in which they were faced with obsessive fans that followed them or invaded their privacy? If they’ve had problems with sasaeng fans before, how did they feel about it?
Yumi likes inspiring people, particularly women. Really, at the end of the day, isn’t that what part of her image is about? Much more than a sexy icon? However, she doesn’t really mind people being attracted to her. So, she is always probably kindest to her fans. However, she does not handle saesangs well. Yumi will not let anyone invade her privacy or her personal space.  She would probably deal with it in a mature manner, such as reporting it to Dimensions or the police. Maybe hire some protection if she was feeling physically endangered. However, she can certainly take care of herself if in imediate danger, she just would not want to do any damage to her reputation or her image. She has not really had any problems with saesangs so far, thankfully, but she has a feeling that is mostly because the company is good at handling it.
+ Day Twenty-Two: Talk about your muse’s goals that they have for their group or themselves if they are a solo artist. Where would they want to promote if given the chance? Do they want to do a solo album at one point? This can be any sort of professional goal.
Yumi would like to earn a Nation’s Title one day because that would be a sign that she most definitely made it. Of course, she would prefer if it was something based on her talents and not because she is super sexy. But, beggars can’t be choosers. She would like to promote in Latin America as Gashina had very heavy Latin vibes. She thinks she could do well there and the different cultures sound interesting.
+ Day Twenty-Three: What is your muse’s thoughts on being an idol and dating? Are they against dating? Have they ever been in a relationship after debuting? If so, talk about the challenges that have come along with dating. If they aren’t dating, would they want to date?
So, because Yumi is demisexual and a workaholic, dating has never been high on her list of priorities. She never dated as a trainee the only dated very sporadically as an idol. To her, hiding relationships is just part of the job. They all know what they are getting into and need to be careful to follow those rules. Of course, she was engaged so she was fully prepared to accept those consequences. It does hurt her that sometimes, difficult decisions must be made. She is not currently seeing anyone seriously, as it never ends well. But, that is also the only type of relationship she likes.
+ Day Twenty-Four: Who is your muse’s ideal type? Why is this person their ideal type?
Yumi’s real ideal type is just someone motivated and kind to her. Her dad was incredibly respectful to her mother, so she could never be with someone who did not treat her as an equal partner. Younger or older, she is not particular, but she does consider herself an old soul, so that constantly gets in the way. In terms of attractiveness, she tends to focus less on physical appearance and more on the emotional connection
+ Day Twenty-Five: What does your muse want to be remembered for in the idol world? Do they want to be remembered for their vocal prowess? Their image? Their dancing skills? Their scandals?
Yumi is proud of how she has improved in her vocal skills over the years. She is good and she knows it. She earned it. However, if she were to pick one thing to be praised for it would be her dancing ability. She has worked her entire life to become the best dancer she can and has sacrificed a lot to do so. Looking back, she has spent the past twenty-something years dancing. It shows and she wants to be recognized for it. If she is also praised for her female empowerment that would be the icing on the cake. She definitely does not want to be known as someone with a lot of scandals. That would hurt her deeply, because she worked so hard to remain in line and to dedicate herself to her craft.
+ Day Twenty-Six: Does your muse ever regret becoming an idol? Do they ever think about what they would be doing instead if they lived a normal life? If they could go back in time, would they do everything all over again? Or would they end up doing something else?
Ultimately, Yumi does not regret being an idol. In her mid twenties, she did wonder if she should have stayed the course and become a professional ballerina. It would probably not have involved as much financial security and would have not given her as much mainstream attention, but it was her dream for so long. Now, she likes how her career turned out. For her, there has never been anything more important than dancing, so if she can continue to keep that up, she is fine with whatever career she has. When she was engaged, she did contemplate if she could ever live a normal life. She does want to get married and raise some children (even if say, she married a woman and had to fly to Taiwan to do so). But, she wants to keep working amid it all. Ultimately, she does not regret the decision she made to become Ivy.
+ Day Twenty-Seven: After working hard on promotions, your muse is given the chance to take a two week vacation anywhere in the world at any time they want, with nobody bothering them. Where would they go and when? Why would they want to take their vacation there? If they had the opportunity to bring three other people, who would they bring?
Yumi is not a very difficult person to please. She honestly does not know what to do with her time off, so she usually takes on an acting gig or a commercial or something, just so she can keep working. If she had forced time off, Yumi would go back to the farm to hang around with her parents and her siblings in the area. Some of them have children and she would love to hang out with her niblings. They seem to be the only people who know how to force her to stop for a moment and enjoy herself. She would probably end up helping in the fields anyways though. It would be considered a compromise. As for who she would bring, it would have to be a romantic partner or very close friends, because otherwise she would rather go solo.
+ Day Twenty-Eight: Talk about your muse’s low point in life. Why was this a low point in their life? What kind of challenges did they face and how did they feel about this? Were they able to overcome it? If it is still ongoing, are they working on overcoming these challenges?
The lowest point in Yumi’s life was when her engagement was broken off. It is funny, she never thought she would feel worse than she did when the girls of Nebula bullied her, but that moment surpassed it easily. She had trusted someone so deeply and had every intention of potentially giving up the career she worked so hard for in the name of love. And they did not care. They broke her heart and left her shattered to pieces on the ground. Had she not been reawakened by Gashina, she is not sure she would have ever recovered. Still, she definitely has a whole different set of issues with intimacy now, particularly romantic intimacy.
+ Day Twenty-Nine: Talk about your muse’s most meaningful moment as an idol. This is what they feel so far is the highest point in their life and where they’ve never been happier. Recall the memory and describe it; what happened and how did they feel?
Yumi’s most meaningful moment as an idol probably when she released her solo debut. It was incredibly meaningful for her that someone had recognized how hard she had worked and how much she had to offer. Really, that is probably one of the reasons she has stuck with Dimensions for so long, despite their questionable reputation. After all, they gave her the gift of a career. They gave her a shot and they have never abandoned her, even when she was thinking of getting married (though they certainly asked her often enough if she was sure about the whole thing). Really, it is something she will never forget.
+ Day Thirty: Think about your muse’s life down the road. Where would they be and what would they be doing? Would they still be in the entertainment industry? Would they settle down and have a family?
In like another twenty years, Yumi will definitely still be working in the industry. She will probably be acting as the mother in kdramas or maybe even a grandmother later down the line. She will have a family and probably has cut back hours for the kids. She would not mind working as a mentor for Dimensions or another idol company. If not, she would probably open a dance studio and intensively teach some kids. She knows her life as an idol at that point will probably be over, especially because of her image, but that is fine with her. She just wants to keep doing what she loves in some way. Plus, she is sure she had some good years.

Box of Delights (Wiltons) Matilda (Cambridge) Edward II (Globe) Pirates of Penzance (wiltons) Richard II (Globe) Romeo and Juliet (Globe) Macbeth (Watermill) All my Sons (Old vic) Swan Lake (Bourne) Small Island (NT) Death of a Salesman (Young Vic) Emilia (Vaudeville) A Midsummer Night's Dream (Bridge) As You Like It (Rain or Shine) Merry Wives of Windsor (Globe) Present Laughter (Old Vic) Peter Gynt (NT) *endless screaming* *left at 2nd interval* The End of History (Royal Court) A Midsummer Night's Dream (Bridge) Henry IV part 1 (Globe) Henry IV part 2 (Globe) Henry V (Globe) A Midsummer Night's Dream (Regents Park) A Midsummer Night's Dream (globe) As You Like It (globe) Romeo and Juliet (Bourne) Tree (Young Vic) Dada Masilo's Giselle (Sadler's Wells) Lungs (Old Vic) The Antipodes (NT) The Wind in the Willows (Rain or Shine) Fairview (Young Vic) Teenage Dick (Donmar)
Best... however many?  Which, er are 99% Shakespeare?
Richard II at the Globe was glorious and golden with a way of bringing out the words and just damn good acting. All female, all WoC, with an emphasis on them all wearing the clothes of their ancestors and changing depending on class of character.  And one of those endings of 'fuuuuuck' as the entire stage became the English flag as a banner of red fell from the ceiling in a bang.
Swan Lake (Bourne) - My happy place of swans and insecure princes falling in love with each other and gauche royal girlfriends who get more adorable with each production. Always cheer the corgi.
Small Island (NT) music and fabulous use of a giant stage to show off the tiny horrible minutiae of racism in England and dreams and love not being what you think and using people to get away.
A Midsummer Night's Dream (Bridge) WE WILL BE GAY AND WE WILL DANCE TO BEYONCÉ AND BE BITCHY AND BE MORE GAY THAN YOU CAN POSSIBLY THINK. We're going to swap Titania and Oberon so he can fall in love with Bottom but the problem is Bottom's only really interested in a one night stand. And the lovers are very bisexual and Puck is bitchy and Mancunian and the fairies are on silks and Gwendolyn Christie will be glorious and regal and the competition for the acting job will go full X-Factor while the previously tyrannical Theseus falls totally in love with theatre and the mechanicals'll nick your phone and take a selfie and we're going to cover the groundlings in a giant rainbow flag and send out a giant inflatable moon for us to bounce around while we dance to Beyoncé.
Present Laughter (Old Vic) Andrew Scott is being world weary, full-on channelling Noel Coward and going full drama queen. Indira Varma is here to deliver fabulous put-downs whilst wearing amazing outfits. We've also gone very bisexual. Bonus slutty tux wearing Enzo Cilenti.
Henry IV and V (Globe) all day Henries! By the time Henry V came round the groundlings and actors had gone a wee bit loopy so they and we were giggling at every other line in the prologue. Henry IVs - Falstaff! Falstaff that nicked anyone within reach's beer and cider (and yes, was drinking it!). Changing clothes onstage so you had some beautiful, strangely affecting moments where Henry IV changed into or out of Doll Tearsheet - a speech would become Henry psyching himself up as he removed his makeup, with scenes overlapping. All the genderblind, Sarah Amankwah as Harry not as psycho as some Harrys (looking at you, Jude Law) and not as inspiring as others (of course I'm bloody talking about Jamie Parker) but resolute and forthright and driven. Henry V was not quite as impressive in my memory but I did get bonus handful of chewed up leek.
A Midsummer Night's Dream (Globe) - all carnival, all fun. Half the reason Demetrius dumped Helena is because she's so aggressive - he's actually scared of her. Lysander croons soul music constantly. Oberon's an old queen and Bottom truly loves herself, and we totally understand why Quince desperately wants to throttle her. Totally justified. This production goes full audience participation, getting a member of the audience to play one of the rude mechanicals along with the usual Globe party and groundlings. This production has the unique selling point that *everyone* is Puck - all the cast plays them at some point in a t-shirt with 'Puck' spray-painted on it and a pair of deely boppers - with them often only doing half a scene and another taking over. Which came to its awesome fruition of them all blowdarting the others to get to do the next line of Puck's final speech. (blowdarts established as Oberon's way of sending people to sleep) Plus Hippolyta runs off with Bottom.
As You Like It (Globe) Return of last year's production, complete with genderswapped and genderqueer Orlando (Bettrys Jones) and Rosalind (Jack Laskey) and deaf Celia (Nadia Nadarajah) and Jacques (Sophie Stone), more genderblind casting for the others, more genderqueer, more signing, the Duke's now at least partially deaf and hiding it, and James Garnon's playing Touchstone and I may possibly be in seventh heaven. He signs almost constantly out of reflex from years of being around Celia, and will get into gesture fights with bearded members of the audience in the gallery, as well as being really quite possessive and attached to Audrey after a while. With added bonus of military helicopters going over just as Celia and Rosalind are discussing how the court's getting more hostile and Rosalind gesturing 'see?'. Sophie Stone as Jacques is possibly the most sad (and mournful) Jacques I've seen, her deafness closing her off from society and being hurt by it as the court hurt her carelessly with thoughtlessness (she only signs when she knows someone)
Teenage Dick (Donmar) I was really regretting booking this. Richard III rewritten for American high school where Richard is running for school council? US High School politics and world has been done to death, for fucks sake, and it's so screwed up and alien it's ridiculous. However. This is hysterical, Richard weaponises his disability (hemoplegia in this case), it's constrated with Buck's experience of being in a wheelchair where she's quite happy with her lot - pointing out the difference in lived experiences - Susie Wokoma as the teacher who's desperate not to give offence but constantly putting her foot in it. Anne's role is greatly expanded and she's given her own story and wants separate from politics, with a quite brilliant dance sequence with Richard. Biggest bonus points, however, are how Richard has a habit of dropping into Shakespearean and everyone thinks he's a weirdo for it. Speeches to the audience? Buck: 'He's gone again.'
'Fuck off, keep fucking off, and fuck off again, you're boring and tiresome and self-involved and why the fuck should I care about you?' Award:
Peter Gynt (NT) reworked Peer Gynt. Oh god it's Ibsen. Why did I book this. WHY. Peer Gynt is now Scots, makes up stories that all come from old films, everyone knows it. there's random musical scenes that Do. Not. Work. The trolls are full on Bullingdon Club in pig masks, WE GET IT, the love interest he left behind wants more than this provincial life, random shagging, and second act he gets rich, goes full Trump, there's rich people conferences in the desert and fake cults and OH DO FUCK OFF YOU'RE TIRED AND HEAVYHANDED AND NONE OF THIS IS INSIGHTFUL. This gets the award of only the second play I've left at the second interval.

Inktober Day 13: Guarded Demon
Title: Soul of a Siren
< Day 12 | Inktber18 | Day 14 >
Tumblr media
Jin x Hispanic!Reader
Summary: The boys have a photoshoot by the beach and are allowed to freeroam after they’re done. Jin enjoys some time by himself, but soon finds out he’s not alone after all.
The blonde man had gone for a walk early this morning and stopped at the sea. It was as if a voice had called him here. Looking around, he saw ocean blessed hair adorned with a crown of seashells and pearls. She was absolutely beautiful and magical, so much so that Jin had to wipe his eyes to make sure he was really seeing scales. Purple and green scales that made a fishtail where human legs would supposedly be.
“Come to me. Darling come to me. My love come to me. Come to me. Come to me.” She sang and stopped when she saw the human. “Hello there. Did you hear my song, little human?”
He nodded. “Hi?” Jin pointed to her tail. “Is that real?” She laughed, “Of course it’s real, silly. I’m a mermaid.”
“Don’t you have to hide it to humans or whatever? I thought--” “Human movies are based off false history. We can show ourselves to whoever we want. We get to be on land as long as we want if it’s under 24 hours or we die, though. That is unless we fall in love with a human and a human falls in love with us. It doesn’t have to be romantic love either.”
“Oh wow. I never knew that.”
She smiled, “They never do. You’re very handsome by the way.” Jin blushed, “Thank you. I know. My name is Jin by the way. It’s nice to meet you.” “Call me Gia. Do you have time to see my kingdom? I want to show Papa my new song mate.” Jin furrowed his brows, “Song mate?” “We’re connected musically. No one but my song mate can hear my song.” Her eyes reflected the falling moon. “Fate?” “Yes. Come with me.” She held out her hand. Without hesitation, she grabbed Jin’s hand and made him jump into the water with her. His first instinct said he was going to drown since it had all been so sudden and unexpected, but instead his eyes met hers. He was fine. He could breathe. “Don’t let go.” She said.
The two swam to the depths of the sea. After getting through a particularly seedy sand bar, they were there. It was a beautiful underwater kingdom. Everyone’s scales were shining and the greeted the princess with a lowering of their eyes and kind smile. Gia took Jin to a special room and there were bracelets hanging on a candelabra. They were made out of seashells and bound by brown kelp.
“Put this on. You’ll be able to breathe and understand our language.”
He put on the Bracelet of Breath and made a joke about the item, calling it a Breath-let and laughing to himself about it. The Princess Gia laughed too and then told him to follow her to meet her father. He had just finished handling some business with some local children and a couple whose business got attacked during a feeding frenzy. He didn’t seem in the best mood and so Jin suggested that they do it later. Gia wasn’t listening, so she tugged him along.
“Papi, I have good news! This is Jin, he’s my song mate! I found him!”
The king was a very fit man, his abs had abs, his pecs had pecs, and there was a scar on his neck and on his eye, and he was a very scary man. However, when he smiled, it seemed like none of that mattered. He welcomed Jin as graciously as possible.
“Oh, my darling child, I am so glad you were able to find your song mate before your vocal cords gave out.” He held her cheeks and then put a large arm over Jin’s shoulder. “You, my measly land fleshling, are someone my daughter has looked hard and long for. She sang every day for years trying to find you...just like her sister.”
A sadness came over him and Gia rolled her eyes but swam to comfort her father. He thanked her and composed himself, turning his attention back on Jin.
“Just where the fuck have you been?”
It was odd hearing such a rough man say rough words with such a blinding smile. Jin explained that he was a idol, so he didn’t have much time to go to Korean beaches because he was always so busy and in other countries while on tour.
He gave a hearty laugh, “Well, I am grateful you finally decided to show up! Give this man the best room! We’ll host a party for you tomorrow. You’ll find we don’t have many rooms here, only one that you’ll need to heed until further notice.”
“What’s that?” Jin asked.
The king’s face became very dark and grim. An ominous red light seemed to surround him as he got face to face with Jin, “Don’t you dare leave your damn room without a fucking escort.” He smiled and it was all cheery and bright again with his smile. “Ok? Good.”
The Princess and several guards took Jin to his room on the third floor and made sure he had food to eat and a few backup bracelets in case anything were to happen. They didn’t want him dying on accident.
Alas, Jin couldn’t just follow the directions to stay in his room. And he didn’t really want anyone following him since he wanted to explore the castle with no intrusions. So he searched the walls for a secret exit because all castles had that, right? He found one under the coral rug and it was a set of stairs. A voice fit for heavy metal was down there, or maybe a rock ballad if they just calmed down a bit. Being Jin, he was a bit nervous but more curious to see where this path led. Going down the sandy staircase, he decided swimming down would be easier.
Was it that song bringing him here? Maybe, but he still swam. Everything had been going swimmingly, so he decided to take a chance. Once settling on the floor, Jin felt as though he needed to take a left instead of a right and two rights after that. This led him to a girl with freckles and a beautiful face in a eerie glow. He felt safe there, though. It wasn’t until then that he realized he had been so on edge. It was a new world to him after all, so he thought it was normal to feel such a way.
However, looking at this glow, this being that didn’t even seem to know he was there, Kim Seokjin felt protected. Her long dark hair floated in the atmosphere. There were two sleeping guards on either side of entrapment.
“Who are you?” The girl asked, not looking.
“Jin.” He continued to walk towards her and become part of the glow.
“No, stop!” She said right before he reached the cage she was trapped in.
Jin stopped. He could see that she had tan skin that flowed seamlessly into a glittering lavender tail.
She turned around and looked at him, “I’m (Y/N). You’re in danger. We both are, but I know how we can get out of here, song mate.”
He was confused, “I thought I was Gia’s song mate.”
“She uses that excuse all the time. Her voice can call any human she wants. You’re not safe here. Gia hasn’t told you the real reason why you’re down here. She wants you to marry her.”
“She what now? How do you know this?”
“She’s my older sister, and she tries to get cute guys to marry her by saying they are her song mate, that it’s fate. If they say no, she drowns them or locks them up. They die down here, Jin. I try to get them to come to me by using my Heart Song. That usually doesn’t work, so I just use the Come to Me song like Gia does. This is the first time my Heart Song has worked.”
He blinked, “So you’re actually my Song Mate?”
The trapped girl nodded.
The confused idol was now scared, “Ok, I believe you. I don’t wanna get married to anyone but you. I have a life that I quite enjoy on the surface that you’re obviously supposed to be a part of. How come you’re down here in the first place?”
(Y/N) sighed, “My magic is stronger than my sister’s since I’m a Siren and she’s not, so I’ve been locked up here to make sure I can’t do anything to stop her. I’m pretty sure she faked my death in order to get the throne.”
“She did, but Sirens are bad. They’re basically demons.”
She looked away, dark hair twisting and hovering around her head, “Only if their hearts get consumed by darkness.”
“Well, I can already tell you’re not like that. There’s too much light coming from you.“ Jin said, getting her to smile. “Alright, so how do we get you out? How do I stop her?”
“You have to sing. I know it’s dumb, but you have to sing that melody on the wall to help me get out of here. I can take it from there. Once they see I’m still alive, they’ll throw her in here instead and I can fix things.”
Jin scratched his head, “How come no one else has been able to free you?”
“They don’t have the range.” She pouted. “If you can’t do this, at least try to get out on your own.”
The talented idol chuckled and sang the high notes carved into the wall. As soon as he did, they disappeared and the cage went away. (Y/N) was free.
“Let’s get that bitchy fishy, huh?”
Jin laughed, “Nice.”
The two then entered the castle’s main room. They arrived during an argument between the King and Gia. She wanted the throne and was irate that she wasn’t getting it yet. He said that the search for (Y/N) wasn’t over yet, and so she wasn’t getting the crown until her sister’s death had been confirmed.
“You can call off the search, Papi. I never died.”
He started to cry, “(Y/N), is that you? My darling baby girl! Gia said you died!”
“Your daughter has been trapped in a cage that Gia put her in.” Jin stated and folded his arms. He then gave an unforgiving glare to the traitor.  “Also, I’m her Song Mate, not yours!”
“Is this true?”
The innocent Siren nodded, “It is. That puta in a puka necklace trapped me!”
Within seconds, Gia was thrown into the Trench and a celebration was held to welcome the rightful princess back to the people. Jin was having a great time, but he pulled his Song Mate to the side in the middle of it all.
“I have to go back to the surface. I’ll come back when I can so we can plan a wedding--”
She giggled, the pearls in her hair glistening in the light.
“What?”
(Y/N) held his hands, “A Song Mate is something that is so much more than a betrothed. Not everyone can find theirs, so even if I never see you again it’s enough to know that you’re mine and that we have an irreplaceable connection. Also, I thought Land Males hated getting married.”
“I’ve never felt so attached to someone in my life, (Y/N). If I don’t marry you, then I won’t marry anyone.”
“Then the next time you come to the ocean, we shall get wed. Until then, you have a life on land to get back to.”
It wasn’t long until Jin was flying to California for K-con. He had tried to go to the beach more often to see her again, but he never saw her. They were Song Mates, so they would find each other when the time was right. Still, he missed her so much. The day after the convention, the boys had 24 hours to do whatever they wanted. Most of them slept or played games. Jin got a slushie and went for a walk.
That’s when he heard it again. (Y/N). He ran to the closest ocean until she was right there waiting for him.

Little Boxes - Two
Tumblr media
A Jeonghceol Domestic AU where they live in suburbia with their six year old son Chan. Jeonghan is an active member of the PTA, a soccer dad and chauffeur, and a supportive parent all around. His loving husband cares deeply for his passions and will follow him to the end of the world if it keeps him and his family happy. Follow their journey as they get caught up and fun and zany adventures when they go outside of the guide lines of your average neighbor. Don’t really know where I’m going with this, but I want to see how many different domestic prompts I can get out of this AU before I run out of steam
First Chapter
“You will not believe the day I had.” Jeonghan seethes. He is pacing a hole into their plush, crème carpet and Seungcheol doesn’t have the nerve to stop him. So, he lets him vent. “I don’t get it. Why come to a volunteer event if you don’t do any of the volunteering? Like all you’re doing is getting in the way, right?”
“Right.”
“You know how hard I worked today?”
“Very hard, Han.”
“Yes. Very hard. I guess ‘cause I’m one of the only dads there, they give me all the hard jobs. But half of them literally sit around and do absolutely nothing.” Jeonghan rolls his eyes, still tracking back and forth. He is livid. He’d been holding in his frustration all day because he had no one else to rant to. He can’t complain in front of the kids because half of them are the source of the complaint….. it’s usually about one of their parents…. they can spread gossip like wildfire. And now, Chan is asleep after his bubble bath and his husband is home and God, he just needs to rant. “I brought and set up all the tables for the displays. I hauled those heavy, tacky barrels in. And there were like 50 chairs I had to lug back and forth for the PTA members. And would you know Janice’s lazy ass didn’t offer to help once? She sat there and bossed me around!”
“I’m so sorry babe.” Seungcheol had been lost after ‘you will not believe the day I had’, but he’s good at blindly responding, he thinks.
“I’m just so frustrated. It’s like she’s gotta vendetta against me! Or a big stick up her ass. She’s bossy just like that snooty brat of hers.”
“Mrs. Janice?” Chan walks up like a ghost from the Shining effectively making Jeonghan’s blood run cold and skin turn pale. Did he hear that?
“Chan, baby. What are you doing up?” Jeonghan held out his arms and scooped up the younger. His anger is quickly replaced with concern.
“Couldn’t sleep.” Chan yawns, rubbing his eyes with his chubby balled up fist. His cotton dinosaur pajamas are slowly growing too tight, but they’re his favorite so he squeezes in them anyway. “Why are you fus-traded?” Chan, never the one to let anything go looks up to Jeonghan with his droopy eyes. The tired frown on his face accents his youth. Oh, the innocence.
Jeonghan shot panicked eyes at Seungcheol and his husband shrugged in response. You’ll have to fight this battle on your own.
“No Chan-ah! Why would I be?” Jeonghan feigns ignorance. His inquisitive, observant little minion knows him better.
“You just said so. You said Mrs. Janice was being mean to you… What did she do?”
Seungcheol can’t hide his snicker at Jeonghan’s shocked expression.
“No baby! You must have misunderstood. She didn’t do anything.” He says sweetly then tersely tacks on "Not a damn thing." Seungcheol calls out his name warningly and he replies with raising both his eyebrows with a shrug. Chan doesn’t even notice he used a potty word because he’s still so sleepy.
“Mis-unstood?” Chan yawns and furrows his eyebrows.
“Yes. Me and her are good friends.” Jeonghan tries fails to reason with his kid, but he’s not dumb. The grimace probably gives him away. Chan gets his wit from him so he knows very well that he’s been caught red handed.
“If she’s your friend she won’t be mean to you.” He’s still looking up at Jeonghan with those sleepy eyes and pouty mouth and he gives up.
“You are right, baby. Anyone who is mean to you is not a friend.” He gives a big wet kiss to his forehead and pretends not to be hurt when Chan wipes it off. “We gotta get you to bed. Give Daddy a kiss and say goodnight.” He leans down enough to let Chan give Seungcheol a kiss and for Seungcheol to return one. He pretends not to be even more hurt when he doesn’t wipe Seungcheol’s kiss off like he did his own.
“Did you wanna give Daddy a kiss too?” Seungcheol bats his eyes with a goofy grin plastered on his face and puckers his lips toward his husband. Jeonghan wants to punch him for the innuendo, but plays along.
“Later.” Jeonghan turns quickly and starts walking Chan back to his room. He turns and gives his husband a quick wink and disappears into his kid’s room to tuck him back in.
As soon as Chan is out of sight and Jeonghan is back within arm’s reach, Seungcheol gathers him in his arms and pulls him down to sit with him on the couch. His husband has always fit comfortably on his lap. He nuzzles his head into his shoulder, tightening his arms. Jeonghan sighs in his hold. They just spend a couple minutes in silence because they don’t get that too often.
“Does Daddy still get his kiss?” Seungcheol tilts his face up to look at his husband. Puppy eyes didn’t work on him, but the promise of Seungcheol’s soft lips against his own works like a charm. As if he can’t resist, Jeonghan leans down and their lips lock like so many times before. Even after five years of being together, each kiss is as electrifying. Jeonghan shifts a little bit more of his weight onto Seungcheol (not caring if he’s heavy) and buries his head back into the crook of his neck.
“I don’t know why I put up with them.” Jeonghan is much quieter this time. The fire within him simmers down until all that’s left is the ashes of his despair. He was always known as the dramatic one in his small group of friends, but he really thinks his anger is justified this time.
“Because you love the school. And you love your son.” Seungcheol brings a soothing hand to his back, stroking it.
“I guess you’re right.” Jeonghan concedes, but it seems like his gears shift. “You know… it wouldn’t be as hard on me if more dads did sign up for volunteer days.” He perks up in his lap and stares down at his husband. “I mean, you do have some free time on the weekends and we could use the help.”
Oh no. Here it comes.
“I don’t know, Han…”
“What do you mean, you don’t know?”
And there it is.
Jeonghan is off of his lap in an instant, pushing back his auburn hair and unconsciously glaring at his husband. He sits on the couch, pivoted towards him, but Seungcheol can’t find the strength to face him head on.
“I wouldn’t know the first thing about what you guys do and I wouldn’t want to mess up everything.” Seungcheol tries to reason.
“No, we can use all the help we can get. Especially with Janice’s lazy ass never helping. Between Joshua and I, we’re the only men on the team.”
“Wait, what?” This gets Seungcheol’s attention. “Joshua? That’s your friend from high school, right?”
“Yeah, I only know one Joshua, Seungcheol.” He rolls his eyes in that dramatic way he always does.
“Oh… So is he taking the place of his wife or do they volunteer together?
“Wife? I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have one considering he’s gay.” Jeonghan is beyond confused now. Does he really not talk about Shua enough for him to not know this simple fact?
“Wait, wait, wait, wait. Joshua is gay? For how long?” Seungcheol doesn’t think he’s the jealous type. After all, Joshua is just his friend. That he hangs out with almost every day with the PTA. That is also gay. No, he doesn’t get jealous easily at all.
“Umm… What the fuck Seungcheol? Since like… forever? He didn’t wake up yesterday like ‘Oh, I’m gay now.’ Why does it even matter?” But to Seungcheol it matters. He has faith in his husband. He trusts him. But that Joshua guy? Who knows what he’s been up to?
"So he's got a boyfriend or something?" Seungcheol tries to act all nonchalant, like he isn’t that interested in the answer, when in reality, a cold sweat breaks out on his brow and he’s hoping with every last strand of his sanity that Jeonghan will say yes. Yes, he has a boyfriend. And no, he is not looking for one with high cheekbones, a dazzling smile, and the stamina of an actual sloth.
“He’s a single dad. Is that a problem? You know, you’d probably know some of these things if you ever came to one of the—”
“When’s the next event?” Seungcheol’s statement catches him of guard. He’d been pushing the idea for Seungcheol to join the PTA or at least volunteer for one of the events for at least 6 months when he felt slightly out of place at the lack of testosterone in the meetings.
“What?” Jeonghan looks at him dumbly.
“The next one. When is it?” Seungcheol repeats. He’s serious and that look has never looked sexier.
“Next Saturday.” Jeonghan sorts through the calendar in his head. “We’re having a bake s—”
“Will he be there?” Seungcheol cuts him off. Again.
“He who? Shua? Of course! He’s always there. Why are you so interested in him now?”
“I’m not. You just said I should be more involved in my child's life so that's what I'll do. I'll come this Saturday.”
Jeonghan is over the moon in .2 seconds. Janice and her bitchiness, BooSeokSoon and their screechiness, stupid suburbia and it’s “Happiest place on Earth” sign all melt away when Seungcheol finally caves. He finally gets Seungcheol to at least try to participate and knows his work load will be significantly less with him there. He doesn’t know what did it, what changed his mind, but he’s glad it did.
“Cheollie!” He elongates the “ee” at the end, aegyo at it’s best. “Thank you so much! I love you, ya know?” He replaces himself on his lap, facing him with his legs straddling his thighs. He cups his face with his hands and lands a wet kiss on his cheek. He peppers kisses all over his face because really, he’s so happy. All the moms and their judgmental stares will have nothing against this power couple. They’ll never stand a chance against the infamous Jeongcheol.
“Time for bed.” Seungcheol’s husky voice makes his stomach erupt in butterflies. He wraps his hands firmly under his husband’s thighs, holding him tight to himself. In one swift motion, Seungcheol stands, shocking Jeonghan by lifting him a few feet higher off the ground. Seungcheol connects their lips in a less than holy kiss and Jeonghan is afraid he’s somehow awoken a beast.
Seungcheol just wants to give his husband a friendly reminder of what he can offer that that Joshua guy can’t.
Ahhh! The bake sale is up next.

Two things. One, where did you watch Crazy Ex-Girlfriend? Two, Miraculous Ladybug?
Oooh. Oh, I have a very odd relationship to that one.
I definitely like it but I wanna strangle the people who were responsible for airing it? Like? The order doesn’t even make sense? And I had to consult three independent fanpages and their suggestions at viewing order to find one that suited me personally the best? And I hate that.
In today’s time and age, shows already have a hard enough time surviving. Why would you sabotage yourself by airing them in an order that doesn’t fit the timeline? It’s good that it were only minor things that messed it up, but if they had major plotline events out of synch, this could really hurt the show and I hope that they can get their act straight.
I was really very skeptical at first about this. I mean, a French-Korean cartoon? Whut? That is such an odd combination and I’ve never seen a cartoon from either country - well, French yeah, Asterix, of course.
But there was a cute guy in a literal cat-suit? So I had to at least try it.
Let me start this off with the love-square. (This show is a mess, really. Like, “Oh, love-triangles are sooo last year. Let’s mess it up even more!”)
Adrien is Chat Noir. Marinette is Ladybug. Neither knows the other’s identity.
Adrien loves Ladybug in a ridiculously adorable blushy fanboy way.(Approve. Adore. Ridiculously cute)
Chat Noir flirts with Ladybug in what would really earn him a sexual harrassment complaint if they were co-workers at literally any other job aside from superheroing. (Do not approve, because it’s highly unprofessional and no means no, Chat, get your act together, kitten)
Adrien sees Marinette as a non-sexual, non-threatening creature and a friend. (Understandable)
Marinette is... absolutely useless when she’s around Adrien because she’s hopelessly in love with him. (Nope. That girl behaves in exactly the way I hate girls acting when in love)
Ladybug ain’t having any of Chat’s silly flirting and is being professional and putting her foot down because they have better things to do. (Approve)
It’s a mess. A real mess. And when I started watching the show, I was really very annoyed by the love-story and wanted to stop watching because it was mainly Marinette making a fool of herself - I hate when girls are portrayed as those brainless morons who stutter and blush and can’t even when around the boy they like.
But then we got to see more of the love-square and I found the dynamics interesting and really adored Adrien.
And ths is why this show is a mess and why my relationship to it is so complicated. There are two characters, but four ship-possibilities between them and one of them is a NOTP while another is an OTP and something feels enherently wrong about that being A Thing That Exists.
So, my hopes for this show is that once the identities are revealed, they’ll even out into normal behavior on both sides - that is to say, Chat tunes down the aggressive flirting and Marinette tunes down the dumbness.
Though I have to admit, a huge part of why Marinette/Adrien is the angle of the square that bugs me the most lies in the flashback episode where we learn how she fell in love with him.
Until that point, I had assumed that she had been a fangirl way before they started attending school together. But to reveal in that flashback that when she first met him, they were behaving like normal human beings around each other and that she was Not Impressed by the pretty boy and had no idea that he was even a model - which, if that had stayed the angle and she had fallen in love with him in a normal way, I would have liked. But no. Instead out of some bogus little interaction, she suddenly falls head over heels in love with him and turns into a stalker.
I mean. Seriously. If he had been a celebrity she had been fawning over before meeting him, that would be a different story. But if you start putting posters up of your classmate and collecting photos of them, that is stalker-behavior. If you know that person personally, that kind of action gets insanely creepy.
Which brings me to another point where I’m confused about what this show does to me. I love Ladybug, but I really dislike all of Marinette. And, lemme repeat this just one more time, they’re the same person.
Ladybug is confident, brave, strong, even when faced with Adrien she behaves like the hero she is. She has that sense of duty that she puts even before that.
Marinette is... hopeless. She can’t even function like a normal human being around Adrien, she does ridiculous and very pathetic stuff due to her feelings for him. She’s so desperate but if she’d just act normal around him, she could already be so close to him. She also occasionally does things that I don’t approve of morally just for the sake of Adrien and wanting him.
It makes me feel weird to like half the main character? And I am really hoping that once she realizes the obnoxious kitten flirting with her is actually Adrien, she’ll callm the fuck down and start behaving normal.
Moving on from the love-square and the main character.
I like the side-characters. They’Re all ridiculously individual and the fact that the first season takes it slow enough to properly introduce all of them and give them all not just small roles but actual roles to shine and show what they’re worth and what they stand for is amazing in a world where TV is currently dominated by shows that are far too fast-paced and uses secondary characters more as props than real, fleshed out characters.
I particularly like Alya. She’s that sassy friend that just can’t be missed. I think that Marinette should have trusted her earlier to tell her about being Ladybug, because she’d have been an amazing sidekick and supporter and I feel like... this very long on-going lie between them should cause quite a rift once it’s revealed. I’m very upset about the spoiler for the coming season because it’s definitely not the direction where I wanted Alya to be taken. (If you know the spoiler, you know what I’m talking about. I don’t wanna spoiler those who managed to avoid it so far. Kudos to you)
I also like Chloé, not in the sense that she’s a good person, but she’s a good character. That bitchy antagonist at school who’s after the lead’s crush is... a very overused cliche, yes, but it’s that for a reason. Because it works in high school shows and movies. I’m curious to see where they take her character, because the best part about the antagonistic bitch is always her redemption arc where she ends up becoming the lead’s friend.
I really love the anime-feel of this show. It sets up those heroes in a way American heroes - DC and Marvel - would be set up, but it brings in all those anime-elements and I love magical girl animes to death and back. The adorable talking sidekick animals in Plagg and Tikki are so Artemis and Luna and I adore them. We got the costume change - but thankfully not as slow as in anime. The powers and color-coded different types of heroes.
And the fact that there are more. Honestly, what I particularly love about this cartoon is the big pay-off two-parter at the end of season 1 when we actually learn some about how and what is even going on here.
That there is the potential for a six-characters strong hero team is the most exciting for me. What I love about superheroes is not one hero heroing around on his own. I love the team-dynamics.
I mean, I definitely don’t want this to turn full Sailor Moon where there’s only good girls and then there’s Tuxedo Mask. Adrien can’t stay the only boy. My personal hope had been for a male fox, because Adrien is a bit of a mischievous trickster and to have a buddy who’d also fit that description would be great (yeah, I wanted to ship them, leave me alone, I’m addicted I know I have a problem).
Taking the bee out too, the only ones remaining would be the turtle and the peacock. The peacock being in Adrien’s house, I’ll get into that later on, doesn’t mean it will never be used. And the turtle belonging to the master, well, the guy’s old and I could see him die just as he reveals something potentially very important - because it’d up the stakes if the newly introduced potential mentor dies. So yeah, that could be passed on too.
Not that we’re limited to the seven Miraculouses in Master Fu’s box, of course.
After all, when he introduces the Miraculouses to us, we see this compiliation that includes Heracles with the lion fur and that stag dude. So there’s two animals already that aren’t covered in this box. Implying there are more boxes with more Miraculouses out there, so potentially we could very well encounter an entire team of male-only heroes, a mixed team, a total cliche magical girl team. I love that they opened the world in such a subtle way, like “For now, let’s focus on what we have, but seven are quite a limit so let’s keep the option for if this show takes off well to include more potential heroes”. It’s clever. I like clever in my cartoons.
Now, circling back to the peacock in Adrien’s house.
My personal headcanon slash theory about this is that Adrien’s mom used to be the peacock and his dad is the hawk moth. They used to be a hero duo just like Ladybug and Chat Noir. But then she died. And he became... corrupted. Angry, desperate, something in between.
Maybe he just wants to watch the world and the heroes using the Miraculouses burn to pay for it.
Maybe... there’s a special kind of magic linked to possessing all Miraculouses. Maybe Hawk Moth is trying to steal Ladybug’s and Chat’s Miraculouses because he thinks that if he has them all, he can use their magic to bring back his wife. And that one would be my personal theory.
So yeah, at first glance this looked like a very simple hero show, but I love the detail that went into it and the world-building and I am definitely very excited about what the coming seasons will hold.
Though it is a little ironic that I came for the cute catboy in hopes of finding a hot guy to ship him with because gays are what I watch and read and write for, but ended up actually liking the straight main pairing.

The door shuts quietly. Soundlessly.  Hutch hears it, anyway.  He doesn't dare take his eyes from the horizon. His dark gaze tracks the setting sun, waving goodbye. It's rays seem to dance across the city below them, a gentle caress of love that will not come again until after darkness.  Cecily used to be that for him.  Now she's just the clouds above.  Hutch looks up to the darkening sky. Cloudless. He blinks back tears.  "It's cold as hell up here, Ce," he announces to the whistling wind, enjoying the sensation of it running through his brown hair. The cold bite of the air seems to be the only thing keeping his brain from shutting down.  The guilt is crushing him.  "Then leave."  The bite in her voice hurts more than the wind.  "No."  Silence stretches. A thousand years of agony and regret. He feels a warmth flow through his side. Cecily's warmth is as familiar as his own damned heart beat. He fights the urge to rest his arm on her shoulder and tuck her into him like he always did.  He has no right to touch her anymore.  For some strange reason, the thought doesn't hurt as much as it should.  "Just because I agreed to talk doesn't mean i forgive you," she says suddenly, her eyes on the setting sun. The wind picks up her short hair and creates a mosaic of shimmering strands. It nearly blinds him.  "I know," he nods, allowing his eyes to fall upon the sky again. "I don't think you'll ever forgive me. I know that."  The silence this time is heavy. It lasts for as long as his heart beats.  He wishes for it to halt. He wants to hear her voice again.  "Does that kill you?" Her voice shakes slightly.  He blinks down at her, surprised by the question. "What?"  She allows her eyes to meet his. He drowns. "Does the thought of me never forgiving you kill you?"  He doesn't look away. Her cheeks are flushed, and her eyes are filled with tears, but her face remains steady and calm as she stares at him. The image of grace and beauty and a thousand things that he will never deserve.  A thousand things that he will miss.  "It destroys me," he whispers. His body seems to crumble in response to his words. He feels everything within him slowly fall to dust.  Cecily clenches her jaw stubbornly. It doesn't stop the tears from falling down her face. She doesn't wipe them.  She won't wipe them. She tears her eyes away from his, looking down into the dark city. The sun bounces against her pale skin, and somehow she seems to shine a thousand times brighter than the very world itself.  He'll miss her brightness.  The wind fills the void between them. Hutch lets it.  "What's her name?"  He holds his tongue. He does not want to answer. He does not want to bring her into this conversation.  Hutch knows that if he talks about her, Cecily will see it. She'll recognise the love on his face as he whispers her name. She'll realise that his eyes never shone that brightly when his lips spoke Cecily's name.  She'll realise that Hutch loves "her" more than he could ever have loved Cecily.  Cecily will think that she wasn't good enough to keep his love, and he won't have the words to explain that Cecily was everything in the world for the old Hutchinson Baker. Hutch won't find the right metaphors to describe the way she used to make him feel; like he was the rising sun and the setting moon and she was all of the stars in between. He won't have the courage to tell her that her name has been branded on his heart like a tattoo. A gentle word in the most beautiful writing that he has ever seen. He won't have the courage to say that he loves the tattoo on his soul more than the one that sits on his upper arm.  He won't have the courage to tell her that tattoos fade.  He does not speak.  "Is it Lucy?" She asks finally, her voice thick with sarcasm and a brightness so false that Hutch flinches, "That's a bitchy name. Maybe Barbara? Oh, I hate Barbara's. Oh wait, no! She's a beautiful, tan, blonde; her name has GOT to be something sexy. Maybe Nicollette. Scarlet? How about Chanel-"  "Autumn," he blurts. Her voice falters into nothing. Hutch regrets speaking. "Her name is Autumn."  "Huh," Cecily's eyes fall upon the horizon again. Her face is carefully blank. Calm before the storm."That's a pretty name."  "So is Cecily."  She snorts, and her body erupts into a flurry of pent up motions. She pushes away from the railing, walking away from him. "Don't you dare mock me, Hutchinson Baker." Her voice is a thousand fires and raging eyes and burning worlds and broken hearts.  He turns his back to the sleeping sun, watching her pace across the white roof.  Somehow, even in a spinning galaxy of anger, she manages to look beautiful.  Nothing. He blinks in surprise. He feels nothing as he watches her frown and blink and gulp.  His chest doesn't squeeze into shining light when she meets his gaze anymore. Instead, it seems to be a steady season of brown and red leaves.  He misses Autumn.  "You met her in America, right?" Cecily announces, her voice a bundle of sharp blades. She halts in her pacing to stare at him, her body taut.  He nods slowly.  "How?"  A thousand memories hurl through his brain. Each one sweeter than the last. Autumn's polite smile blends with Cecily's hard stare for one devastating moment, and Hutch feels his entire heart brighten in response to the two lights of his life.  One; his first love. The other; his last love.  "She was apart of the program, too," his voice shakes as he speaks, rough with emotion and fear and regret, "She had known my friend Benjamin since high school, and she spent most of her time with us during the trip."  Confusion clouds Cecily's pure face, "You had never mentioned a girl like that in your course-"  "She had done all of her studying at home. She hated the traffic coming to uni, so she did her classes online. She had been enrolled since the very first day, but none of us knew her."  "Seems a bit suss, don't you think?"  "That's what I thought. I didn't trust her at first; didn't talk to her. To be fair, I was sort of rude to her at first-"  "And then you cheated on your girlfriend with her. Will you look at that. Crazy."  Hutch flinches away from her tone. An ocean begins pouring into his chest.  "I did not cheat on you, Cecily Hendale," his voice rips itself into a growl as it escapes his trembling lips. "I would never cheat on you." Her eyes burn. "Then why was she in your apartment, Hutchinson?!"  "Because she was drunk, Cecily! She was drunk and she rocked up at my apartment the night before. Her drink had been spiked and she had barely made it to my apartment before passing out. She had only just woken up when you came in, and we were trying to figure out who had spiked her drink!"  Cecily blinks, her anger sputtering to nothing, "So she went to your apartment?" Her words tremble slightly. Weak syllables. "Yes," Hutch's voice is softer, too, "That's all, Ce."  "No," she snaps, angry again, her voice a slice of hurt, "That is NOT all. This girl, this beautiful girl, went to your apartment in her moment of vulnerability and danger. I've had my drink spiked before, I know how it feels. Her entire world would have been flickering into nothing, and all she could think to do was come to you?"  The Earth pauses. Hutch swallows. Exhaustion squeezes tight in his limbs. "Yes," he whispers, "She came to me." He didn't mean for his voice to sound so defeated.  Cecily's eyes suddenly dim. Hutch watches her entire world shatter to pieces in front of her face. He watches the fire settle into ashes and watches the fight slip away from her heavy gaze. Her entire soul seems to weaken. He watches it give up, and he blinks back the tears in his eyes.  "Fuck," Cecily whispers at last, her entire body trembling in the wind, "She loves you."  Hutch does not voice his words. He does not bother telling Cecily that the moment he grabbed Autumn's hand that one night and dragged her away from the sleazy men in the back streets of New York, he had fallen in love with her. And her with him.  He does not bother telling Cecily that he tried to fight it. That he ignored Autumn for days and days afterwards. That he called Cecily and texted her night and day. That he whispered Cecily's name in his mind to block out the rush of Autumn's laugh and the way his name sounded on her lips. He had never planned on falling hopelessly in love with Autumn. He was sure she had never planned on looking at him twice, either. But somehow, without them noticing, their souls had found a way to intertwine without even touching.  "I think she does," Hutch whispers back. "I'm so sorry, Cecily. I never touched her. I want you to know that. You can hate me and pray for my death, but you have to know that I never touched her-"  "Did you want to?" She asks, her voice steady. The tears splash down her face in a thousand rivers. Hutch watches the currents race.  "I... I wanted to stop watching the way her fingers tapped a beat when she was nervous."  Cecily closes her eyes, slowly, a flutter of dark lashes and falling tears.  Defeat seems to tremble through her body. Understanding blinks across her gaze when she opens her eyes finally and looks at him. Hutch feels the ocean within him calm. She always calms him.  "You love her. More than you have ever loved me." Her voice is hollow. Pain slices through Hutch's body, and he turns to look out into the night. The sun had set without him noticing. He had fallen in love with another person without him noticing.  Hutch realises that he does not notice much.  Except the shuddering breaths of the girl he loved more than the entire world.  "I love you, Cecily Hendale," Hutch announces to the wind, letting the tears fall down his cheeks. "I have always loved you, and I will always love you. But I am not in love with you. I understand now that I was never good enough for you. And I know that sounds like a petty excuse, but god dammit I mean it with everything within me, Ce. You are everything good in this world, and I am nothing but one third of a broken family and a mess of scribbled house designs. I have never had anything to offer you but my love. I'm smart enough now to realise that it was never enough. Ever. I am a shit person and you are a good one. And I am so god damn honoured to have loved you and to have received your love, Cecily. I will never forget it. I will never forget what it feels like to be loved by you. And I will never forget what it feels like to love you. Autumn found me. She wasn't supposed to, and I don't even think I wanted her to. But she did. And she's stuck to me. We're stuck to each other, Ce. I can't get her out of my bones. I reluctantly fell for her. But I never cheated. I did not touch her. I would never dishonour you like that. And I've broken your heart. And I am horrible and selfish and uncontrollable and I hate the world for sending Autumn my way because it means that it broke your heart. But she's here. And I love her. I am in love with Autumn Fent, and I don't think I will ever fall out of it. And I am sorry with everything within me, Cecily. I wish you weren't in pain. I wish I could take it away, and that I could be there for you. But I caused the pain. I don't deserve to be anywhere near you. I'll probably never see you again, and although that'll probably rip away a part of me that I'll only find in the sound of your voice, that is okay. I'm willing to hurt. I deserve every tear that falls." He spins away from the darkness of the night before it swallows him whole. His entire soul aches in grief when he meets her burning and broken gaze. It takes all of his strength to keep his knees from giving way. "Goodbye Cecily Hendale. You are worth every star in the sky, and I am grateful that I got to touch at least one before crashing back to Earth. I hope that one day you can forgive me. God knows I won't forgive myself. I hope I see you again one day, Ce. I hope you fall in love with someone that makes you understand."  He brushes by her on his way to the door, and her warmth seeps through his body for the last time ever.  His first love. His best friend.  A beautiful, beautiful memory.
