Pirate au Scar/Doc/Ren under the cut. This is shipping. I am yearning. Have a good day. originally posted on discord

Backstories:

Doc: As a child, he was outcasted by the people he lived with due to his creeper/human hybrid thing. He was found by either Xisuma, who is TFC's adoptive son, and taken to TFC to be raised. The thing is: his adoptive father doesn't want him to become a pirate like them, and therefore doesn't tell him about being a pirate. Which means its such a pity when the small island he's on is raided by rival pirates and he's kidnapped and held for ransom, which is how he is brought into the whole 'pirate' thing. He trains with his adoptive family and eventually becomes the First Mate for Xisuma when TFC retires.

Ren: Ren, an orphan, joins the navy as soon as he can, because he was told from a young age that his family was killed by pirates and he wants revenge. The pirates that killed his family were, reportedly, the pirates from the Hermit Craft, run by TFC. However, he fights Doc a lot and finds himself falling in love. His two close friends, Grian and Impulse, 'jokingly' tell him to go after Doc. Like, every time the Hermit appears Impulse and/or Grian will go to Ren and tell him to 'go get his man'. Ren doesn't approve of the joke, but he still goes and fights Doc. Later, he finds out that Impulse and Grian are spies for the Hermit and have been telling the Hermit not to hurt Ren, which makes Ren feel very betrayed and he nearly snitches to the captain of the ship, until he realises that that would end up with the two men hung.

Scar: Raised by a very wealthy merchant family, Scar felt the call to sea more than he felt the call to helping his older brother, Cub, at the shops that he runs. Scar is never given the opportunity to leave, however, as he is coddled by his parents and Cub doesn't let him sign up for the navy. He spends most of his time telling Cub about what he would do out at sea and the adventures he wants to go on. His parents use him as the face of their business in an attempt to keep him on dry land, which paints a target on his back.

How do they meet, you ask? Let me tell you.

Now, one night Scar is out at some Fancy Party as a part of his duty as 'face of concorp'. Scar hates it, but he's accepted his fate at this point and is very good at bullshitting his way through parties to make them think that he loves what he does. Not only is Scar famous as the Concorp's poster boy, but he's also very likeable, meaning that he gets along with everyone, a bit too much.

Scar gets kidnapped by a rival set of pirates (probably the same ones that kidnapped Doc) that night, after a pirate asked him to lead him back to his hotel. Ren, who was also there, offers to guard Scar on his walk home, so with a body guard and a secret pirate Scar and Ren get kidnapped.

Now, at this point, a lot of the pirates think that Ren is one of Doc's spies (or lovers) so they use Ren as bait for the Hermit and Scar as bait for money. Scar is terrified, he's never been out to sea before and now he's been KIDNAPPED by PIRATES. It's never happened before (to him), though Ren is sorta like 'this shit again, the only reason I'm not being a Bastard™️ is because Scar Will Die If I Do That. However, that doesn't stop the pirates from being Pirates, and Ren does get tortured, his bloody shirt and jacket getting sent to Doc as bait. Scar also gets tortured as a punishment for Ren at one point.

In the meanwhile, Doc and Xisuma are having a Grand Time on the hermit, just happy to be out on the sea together, until they get a message from Grian and Impulse to come pick them up, as something has gone down. Doc and Xisuma 'kidnap' Grian and Impulse a day before Ren's shirt and jacket come in, and Xisuma goes to discuss what he needs to do with Joe and Cleo, his strategists. They tell him that Doc will go looking for Ren by himself if Xisuma doesn't go looking for him, and that Grian and Impulse will most likely end up going with him. Xisuma sighs, nods and tells the hermits to prepare for battle.

At this point, Scar is just, a Mess™️ from the stress, and he and Ren become fast friends throughout their time on the pirate ship, and Scar confesses to Ren about his hatred of being just a spokesman, confessing that he really wants to go and explore the world, and he tells Ren about his longing for the sea. Ren says that, when this is all over, Ren would put a good word in for him with his ships captain, and see if they could get Scar into the navy. Scar doesn't think that it will work, but he thanks Ren for it anyway.

Soon, the pirates arrive on this small island that gives Ren and Scar a chance to escape, but it's Ren whose scared of the consequences of escape, not Scar. Scar has never been kidnapped by pirates before, Scar doesn't know what would happen if the pirates caught them again. Scar doesn't want to die on the island, and as he's being held for profit he most likely wont, but Ren is bait and will most likely be killed once the hermit comes by to rescue him.

Scar and Ren both kinda sorta find themselves falling for each other (very sweet) as they are the only positive things on the island, and that the other is always kind to them. It'd be a cute romance if it weren't for the place that it was formed in. Ren confesses to Scar one night, high off of adrenaline and blood loss, and Scar kisses him to make him shut the up fuck.

During this time, the hermit is getting closer and closer to freeing Ren, and everyone is Very Happy about this, especially Doc. It doesn't make too much sense to most of the hermits until one night Etho and Beef and Bdubs tell everyone about how Doc definitely has a crush on Ren, which is when Grian and Impulse tell everyone about Ren's crush. The hermits, collectively, decide to try and set the pair up when they get Ren back, which comes sooner than expected.

The hermits find the island and, while the main group battles the Rival Pirates, Doc sneaks round the back with Impulse and Grian to free his MANS. Doc finds Ren in a small cage by himself, trembling and covered in blood and definitely Not Okay, but Ren refuses point blank to leave the cage. Grian and Impulse have to drag him out, and it was at that point they realised that Ren is wearing a shirt that looks strangely familiar to the shirt that Scar was wearing at the party. With the sudden realisation that there are 2 hostages, Doc orders Impulse and Grian to take Ren back to the ship and he goes to find Scar. Ren Doesn't like that, on account of Doc being both a pirate and Scar being a very scared person. Doc doesn't care and Ren is dragged back to the ship.

In the mean time, Scar is being heavily guarded by some ASSHOLES as the pirates offer to sell him to a rival company as like,,, bait or something. Scar is terrified, knowing that the pirates were lenient on him and that the rival company will not be as kind to him. Doc BURSTS through the door, finding Scar shirtless and covered in blood and scars. Doc, as a dumb gay boy, immediately decided to woo the man when he frees him.

Doc beats the shit out of the pirates, kidnaps Scar (who is Not Impressed About Being Kidnapped Again, though he is relieved when Doc kills the representative of the rival company). Scar is carried out of the building and Doc meets with Xisuma, still carrying a very scared Scar.

They get onto the Hermit, and everyone is very kind to Scar and Ren, confusing the pair. Xisuma eventually gets up, walks over to them (ignoring the way that the two men flinch away from him) and asks them what happened to them. Ren and Scar don't answer, both man either too scared to answer or unwilling, though they don't know which is which. Scar eventually mumbles something breifly, Ren holding onto his hand.

Scar and Ren sit away from the pirates, though they're too tired to move away when Etho, Joe and Cleo come and sit down with them. The three people essentially go 'aight so we know that you two arent just 'friends', Scar is lying down In Your Lap, whats up with that?', and the two men dont respond, Scar too afraid of what will happen to them and Ren worried about them hurting Scar (because, you know, pirates). Cleo and Etho eventually give up on them, leaving to head off to bed. Joe stays, watching them out of the corners of his eyes as he chats with Keralis and False. Scar falls asleep in Ren's lap, and Joe tells Ren that none of the hermits would dare hurt Scar for being with Ren. Ren breaks down then, telling Joe what happened in full detail, about how even before he and Scar got together, Scar was punished for Ren being a navy officer, and how he doesn't want to get Scar hurt again.

Doc overhears this, and his heart breaks a little, but he comes up with food and medicine that Stress provided, and promises to Ren that no one on the ship would hurt either of them, for ANY reason. Ren thanks the two men and yawns, so Doc takes them down to his room and then goes and bunks with Xisuma (and by 'bunks with Xisuma' i mean he sleeps on the floor so he doesn't wake up the captain)

Scar and Ren grow close to the hermits, and they slowly let themselves relax, both guiltily considering leaving their lives behind to join the hermit. Scar tells Joe about it, and Ren tells Grian and Impulse, and the three men try to fix it so that the two men decide to stay before they are dropped off.

Cleo and Tango overheard, however, and loudly run into Doc's room while Ren and Scar are SNUGGLING to ask why they both don't just join the hermit since they both want to. Ren and Scar talk it over and agree, asking Xisuma if they could. Xisuma agrees, and they set sail.

In the meanwhile, Xisuma kicks out orders Doc to reclaim his room from the two newest hermits. Doc asks them if he could have his room back and Scar goes 'sure, is there a place we can stay?' and long story short Doc tells them to keep his room, and Ren goes 'we can all share its big enough.'.

It's awkward at first, Doc not really knowing what to do while Ren doesn't know how to feel about the man he definately still has a crush on. Scar, on the other hand, thinks that it's great because now there are two buff men making sure he doesn't fall out of the bed. Scar spends a lot of time helping everyone out, no matter who they are. He's taught how to fight by Wels and False, he spends time telling Joe and Xisuma which trade routs are more heavily guarded and which ones aren't, he helps Stress out in the infirmary and he also makes maps.

Soon, Scar leaves the ship to meet with Cub, taking Wels with him as they meet, and leaving behind a very worried Ren and Doc. The two men end up butting heads a lot throughout the two days that he's gone, to the point that it starts to make everyone else frustrated. Etho makes them talk about why they are mad and fighting, and the two men eventually go 'look i love him and i dont want to see him hurt'.

Scar comes back, having struck up a deal with Cub to get the hermits supplies, and he finds the hermits all looking very expectantly at his boyfriend and Doc. The two men tell him what happens, and Doc says that he understands that Scar is probably uncomfortable and one word and Doc will find a new room, and Scar goes 'cant you guys just share me? idc if you like me i like you too'.

And thats how they start dating in a pirate au, thank you for coming to my ted talk

the “Boy kidnapped by father and forced into villainy until he and friends get him out” fanfic trope au but this time its two boys and neither are who you thought of first fanfic timeeee

- So Chimera has a sibling called Manticore, who also has a Sorta Monstrous Human form and a far bigger stronger form. Manticore is a better strategist and leader than Chimera, but is weaker in either form, and thus problems.

- but dun dun, Chimera and Manticore have sons. Sons who got *some* of their quirks and physical mutations, but not all of them. Also, um, Chimera didn’t know, until a rival got too close to the group from information he shouldn’t have. He tracked it to one Ms Amajiki, a former acquaintance and on storming into her apartment found that 1- she was being held hostage there 2- she apparently had a kid who was sitting frozen in fear with someone holding a weapon to him 3- she apparently had a kid with him if the scent was right and had never told him, only for the kid to be used against both of them.

- Ok, good news: he takes care of the rivals. Bad news: he takes Tamaki and threatens him if his mother so much as thinks about calling for help to get him back.

- When Mirio knocks on her door begging to see Tamaki because he didn’t visit all weekend and wasn’t at school, she tells him he had to go to his father’s place.

- At his father’s place, Tamaki is Straight Up Not Having A Good Time, but learns as well as these family members, he has a cousin- the Manticore’s son looks less scary- a long tail, but with fluff at the end instead of spikes, toe beans but no claws. his name is Ojiro Mashirao, and he wants to get out too

- Thats obviously not going to happen for A While, but good news- it does eventually.

- The boys do a little thing called ‘weaponizing tensions’ and so a fight happens between Manticore and Chimera when heroes strike, and Mashirao gives Manticore a dose of less potent Trigger than they thought they were getting, causing it to fail halfway through the encounter. Tamaki takes the good Trigger and lies to his father that both of the others were caught, and he doesn't care much.

- minor note here, but Mashirao does have a 'monster form' as well, where his tail gets spiked, he gets claws, body gets more lion-like, and teeth sharpen. The problem is it's very painful to shift as his body isn't as well suited to the quirk as his parent's is- and his monster form means some severe loss in being able to think and reason and be in control of himself. For these reasons, once he gets out and gets help, he decides to be a hero without his quirk, just his normal body and tail. And then he'll go back and save his cousin in return for the older boy getting him out. I imagine he like ten at this point.

- "Pocket is that just to make the Shinsou thing worse?" Lol of course

- Another minor note, most of the villains in the parents' group had mutation quirks, most rather scary. The kids were easily the youngest ones there and were frequently just called "the pretty boy" and "the plain boy" with equal derision. Yay more problems

- ok and now it's time for more pain. The remaining people with Chimera's group slowly start dwindling and will continue to. Anyway. Circumstances arise and somehow Tamaki runs into Mirio. That's great except he's not going to tell him he needs help bc he doesn't really feel like getting them both mauled by his father today.

- Mirio does think something sus is up tho

- lol what if I went so far to say Mashirao gets adopted by Aizawa after he gets out? If it can happen to izuku it can happen to him. Anyway point is most of the kids are going off to UA! Everyone that normally would. Erm except Tamaki

- Chimera is actually fine with that friendship starting up again. Mostly bc Tamaki is expected to gather information on the heroes and keep their shrinking group away from them and safe.

- He does, mostly, but it still ends up being the two of them left, then they get split up. Nine- or whatever he was called before the expiramentation- saves Chimera and gets taken back to the last safehouse. Tamaki regrets to see them because he was really hoping that would be the end of it but alas. They're apparently joining this guy's group now.

- Anyway at UA Mashirao is having a swell time being a first year. Except for him being called plain again, and the villains attacking the USJ, and his adopted dad getting super injured there... But mostly he's having a good time.

- Chimera is busy the day of the festival, and Nine is in surgery, and I guess the other two villains in their group don't bother to watch the sports festival. Tamaki does though, in a cafe, and is shocked to see his cousin on the first year stage. Shocked, and worried, but also happy for him.

- Mashirao might not drop out of the third round here. He needs to make a splash to get an internship and hero asap to help his cousin, though it makes him feel sick. He still very much warns izuku about Brainwashing.

- Internships happen, Hosu happens, and when the kids come back to UA Mashirao is suspicious of the Alleyway Trio that the encounter with Stain didn't quite go as reported.

- He approaches them and asks if, hypothetically, they'd be down to fight another villain secretly to rescue a family member of his, because he really needs to keep this away from official heroes. Izuku wants to help, Shoto is always down, and Tenya is a bit annoyed that they seem to be ignoring the lesson they just learned but... On the other hand... The situation is bad and someone needs help.

- Aizawa is getting sus of Mashirao sneaking out with the others and suspects he's upset at him for training Shinsou. He is, actually, that's just only part of it. Finally, he has to come clean about it, and about the same time Izuku convinces them they can trust All Might with this as well.

- Discretion is had, and the raid goes successfully, just before the end of first term. Tamaki has no idea what's going on but is more than happy to tell them about Nine, the Doctor, and the plan there too.

- Andddd then the LoV makes things worse again probably. But life goes on and everyone is alive and safe yay

Readers Native name is: Otsi'tsa A Mohawk name meaning: Flower. The reader and Ratonhnhaké:ton were childhood friends until she was captured by colonists at a young age because they thought she was a white child who was kidnapped by the Mohawk, And was renamed Y/n L/n by the orphanage the colonists had left her at, she eventually escaped the orphanage eventually finding her way to Davenport ending with her being adopted by Achilles.

"father I've done my work can I go out please?" You ask hopping on your toes in anticipation as Ratonhnhaké:ton and Kanen'tó:kon both stood outside waiting for her as the other children ran passed them, after some consideration your father silently nodded. You smiled along with the two boys and ran off as your father yelled "Be sure to keep your hood on! and stay within sight of the village!"

You nodded pulling the small hood over your head protecting you're pale skin from the sun as you white braid rest over you left shoulder as you and the other kids gathered around in a group trying to figure out what to play when they heard a twig snap you and all the children whipped your heads in the direction it came from and were terrified when group of white men appeared from the woods started walking towards the group.

You felt your heart sink into you're feet as one of the men pointed at you. "See, I told ya them savages kidnapped a little one!" he said gruffly as the presumed leader took a step forward causing the other kids to scatter and hide.

You were too scared to move or scream as one them went to grab you only for Ratonhnhaké:ton to suddenly jump in and hit the man's hand away with a large stick. "Get away from her!" he hissed standing in front of you protectively.

Despite how brave he was trying to act; You could tell he was scared he was shaking like a leaf! The men laughed gave the little boy a swift kick in the stomach knocking the air out of him and sent him off his feet, and the men got a hold of you! you screamed kicked and struggled as they dragged you away all while hearing Ratonhnhaké:ton and Kanen'tó:kon screaming. "Otsi'tsa! NO! give her back! help!!" over and over until the voices faded...

3rd pov: That was six years ago...

Six years since those men took her from her home. Six years since they left her at this awful orphanage! Six years since they forced her to change her name...

Well, not anymore! Otsi'tsa or Y/n as She had been dubbed had been causing a lot of trouble for the nuns and any potential families interested in her...much to the other kids enjoyment.

the nuns chased her around the orphanage demanding she behave herself. "Make me donkey face!!" she'd yell in her people's language causing the old woman to turn beet red due to not understanding what she was saying, and she'd get the ruler foe speaking the devils tongue, it was during one such time something seem to snap in the other kids; they started running around and acting out with the white haired girl!

Soon the entire orphanage was in a tizzy as the head nun tried in vain to get the children under control, Otsi'tsa used the commotion to quietly slip out of the orphanage before they noticed she was gone and hid in the first cart she saw turns out it was headed to the frontier...

The albino was awoken abruptly by the cart stopping she quick got out and jumped into some bushes as the driver came around grumbling and checking the back of his grumbling about the wheel coming loose and looking for tools only to find apple cor and a bite taken out of one of the cheese wheels!

...They barely fed them at the orphanage, So the little native couldn't help herself! luckily she was long gone as the owner frantically look around for who or what was responsible for eating his supplies.

Otsi'tsa wasn't sure how long she trekked through those lands for, But she thanked whatever forces out there, that she hadn't had any run ins wolves, bears or mountain lions! soon she found herself on a doorstep of a of a large mansion, dirty, cold,wet and hungry...

She knocked hoping someone was home and maybe she could get them to give her job in exchange for food? and then continue her way home...there was a cranky voice on the other side that snapped at her to go away...She blinked and knock again causing whoever was yelling to cuss.

the swung open and an angry old man was standing in front of her Otsi'tsa shrank back, as he got one look at her miserable state and his glare soften before sighing and let her inside, She introduced herself as Otsi'tsa,The old man bluntly told the white haired girl he can't pronounce that! So she said he can call her Y/n.

Soon the native girl had gotten to know her host (after he had given her a bath and clean clothes) and noticed how lonely the old man or Achilles as he introduced himself was; she noticed he looked sad whenever she asked where his family was, Since the clothes he'd given her were boys clothes so surely he couldn't be living in this manor by himself?

Eventually she got her answer; While pulling weeds around the property, her red eyes widened when she found his wife and son's tombstones after some coaxing he told her his life story.

And soon Y/n's overnight stay, turned into permanent residency and with that Achilles had started training her to be an Assassin, Three years into her training Y/n was stunned when a ghost from her past showed up on their doorstep.

She was in the kitchen making spiced apple bread when she heard a knock at the front door, surprising the albino native as they hardly had visitors except for Faulkner...But only when he was low on Alcohol, and she'd had already went on a keg run for him not even a day ago! She heard Achilles grumble get up from his chair and answer the door and talk to someone...

Curious Y/n wiped her hands on her apron and went to see who was there, just in time to see Achilles yell and slam the door in that person's face! Odd...And rude. "Who was that?" The red eyed girl asked blowing her bangs out of her face as the old assassin grimaced "No one to worry about!" he huffed scudding to the sitting room as the knocking came from the backdoor.

The native girl hummed bemused and went to see for herself, only for her mentor to bark "Leave it!" from the other room "Stubborn old man..." She mumbled in Kanienʼkéha then she saw someone move out of sight out the window and Achilles move upstairs soon the knocking started up there too! Whoever this person was, they do not give up! She heard the old man snap at the visitor to go away...

But they didn't, they came back the next day! and kept badgering the old man, Y/n could only sigh and shake her head at this whole scenario! when one stubborn hot-head meet another sparks are bound to fly! on the third night, the albino was awoken in the wee hours of the morning by voices coming from outside, they aren't the boy who had been badgering Achilles. No, these were different malicious...

The female assassin got up from her bed just in time to see said boy fighting off a group of crooks and immediately she went on high alert as she got her hidden blade started making her way downstairs, Achilles had the same idea, the albino silently snuck up behind one and stabbed him the back while Achilles took of the boss, And went to help the boy of the ground she grabbed his hand and...

"Otsi'tsa?"

"How do y...Ratonhnhaké:ton?"

The albino gawked at her old childhood friend trying to process how he could be here? next thing she knew Y/n was swept up in a tight bone crushing hug by Ratonhnhaké:ton! she was still in shock before it hit her that he was really here..and return the hug the two pulled away as they got a good look at each other. "I can't believe it's really you.." Ratonhnhaké:ton he said with slight tremble in his voice as he held her cheeks in his hand, his childhood friend cracked a smile.

"Me neither..." she said back tucking some hair behind her ear and wanted to ask about her father and the tribe but was interrupted by Achilles clearing his throat "As heartwarming as this all is, would you two clean this mess up so we can get down to business?" the two teens separated and got to cleaning up the bodies, than joined Achilles in the manor. The old man went on to explain the creed history and precursors to Ratonhnhaké:ton while the albino went to make something to eat and drink as the two talked as she had heard this all before.

"Until you’re ready, Y/n will act as you teacher while out on the field." Achilles announced confusing the native boy as far as he could tell Achilles and Otsi'tsa were the only ones living here? When his friend sheepishly announced that she was Y/n. "No you're Otsi'tsa." He said confused and the red eyed girl had to explain that the orphanage she was sent to gave her a new name, that... and Achilles doesn't speak their language so Y/n L/n sorta stuck.

"You can still call me by my real name." She assured as Ratonhnhaké:ton awkwardly tested her second name few times, before Achilles explain why she was in charge of him during training as Y/n had more experience then took them down to the basement to show them the wall.

there Ratonhnhaké:ton was temporarily distracted by some assassin robes before Y/n "You have long road ahead before you're ready for those." she stated without even looking at him, the Mohawk boy blushed and started to stammer insisting that he meant no harm.

the albino giggled as Achilles slammed his cane into the ground making the look at him, Needless to say Y/n was horrified ti find out what happened after she was kidnapped the village burned, Ziio and her father's death and most shocking of all Haytham Kenway the grand master of the colonial Templar order was the one responsible and Ratonhnhaké:ton's father.

Y/n didn't know how to process this went out for a run to get some air and think... she eventually found herself at Faulkner's shack the sailors could see something was bothering their Little Missy, but it was clear she didn't really want to talk about it, She always comes to the docks when she wants to think, she heard Faulkner come up behind her a sat down next to her "Now Girly what seems to be the ailment of the day?" he coax after a few seconds she unloaded everything meeting her childhood finding out his father killed her father and half their village, now she doesn't what to do or think! the old sea dog hummed took a sip from his flask.

"That's quite the debacle...I don't have anything to say to that other than don't hold it against the boy, and good luck." He said gruffly and then offered her a swig from his flask the pale girl cocked a brow and took a sip before noticing Ratonhnhaké:ton coming up to them causing her to choke and start coughing as she handed the flask back to Faulkner who got up and left. "*cough* H-How..wh-what are you doing here?" she stammered the boy shyly rubbed the back of his head.

"I saw you leaving the basement you looked haunted.." he said sadly "I didn't mean for you to find out like that." he said taking Faulkner's spot next to her, grimacing when he smelled the alcohol on her person the albino shook her head. "Don't sorry, it was probably for the best I find out now then later." She knowing full well if Ratonhnhaké:ton had kept his parentage from her she would've been on guard and suspicious of him for the rest of their lives, the two sat on that dock for the rest of the morning exchanging stories and how much had changed since they'd last seen each other.

Ratonhnhaké:ton was amazed how Otsi'tsa escaped from the orphanage by rebelling and starting a riot, it was shocking to say the least considering she was the most timid and cautious child in their tribe, mainly due to her condition and her father's over protectiveness, she wouldn’t even harm a rabbit unless she was positive she wouldn't get in trouble! The Albino wasn't even phased when Ratonhnhaké:ton was given orders by the spirits to seek out the Creed and help stop the Templars, she felt he was meant for something greater in life that something wasn't staying with their tribe.

She informed him they had a lot of work ahead of them, and he had better be prepared because the Old man wasn't the one he had to worry about, "I'm one harsh teacher." She teased causing Ratonhnhaké:ton to playfully bump her shoulder. "Sure you are!" he hummed as they got up to raced back the manor. Needless to say Achilles was unimpressed that two of his students were late, dirty and smelled like a bar! Nor was he impressed by the "will they? won't they?" game they played with each other through the years, But that is a story for another day!

Thieves in Inaba Epilogue

Minato opens his eyes slowly, seeing everyone crowded around him...his friends worried.

“He...he’s still alive!” Junpei exclaims, diving straight for a hug which is joined by the rest of the Shadow Operatives.

Minato laughs, hugging them all back. “Yeah, I’m here. This time for good.”

Ryuji look around the area, seeing Inaba back to it’s normal...dull self. The only evidence that the town had any sort of supernatural event hit it is the Meteorite that is still in it’s landing spot.

“Damn...you wouldn’t belive me if I told you this place was a warzone at one point.” He shakes his head.

“I would.” A familiar voice states. Everyone looks over to the source to see Kou along with the rest of the former captives walking up to them. “This place went though hell...we were kidnapped by Shadows right? And tossed into a sauna.”

“Hey can we...not bring that sauna up. Like...ever again?” Youske states. “The less I think back to my first time there the better..”

“So, what are you gonna do with us now?” Daisuke asks, arms folded. “In the movies, normally when an event like this happens-”

“They wipe your memories!” Kenji states. “Just like in Men in Shades right? So...we won’t recall any of this...right?”

“That would be the case...if we did in fact have such devices.” Mitsuru explains, nodding.

“So are we allowed to keep our recollections of these events then?” Hifumi asks, head tilted.

“Yeah.” Minato responds. “But you all have to promise that none of what transpired here is brought to the attention of the general public.”

“But wait, hold on. This was all over the news.” Sojiro points out, hand in his pocket. “And that red haired kid there was featured fighting them, Persona and all. How can you be sure that people won’t still talk about it?”

“We can handle the cover up if need be.” Mitsuru reassures.

“Ooooor I can just hack into all the TV Stations that have the footage and delete them. It’s super easy!” Futaba giggles, but Sojiro doesn’t seem too keen on the idea.

“Well regardless of what course of action we take, we’ll get it taken care of.” Labrys smiles.

“Onto another thing...did anyone notice that...well...MORGANA IS HUMAN?” Makoto points out.

“Ah, right. You weren’t with us.” Ann nods. “Yeah, it just sorta happened. I still can’t figure out why.”

Morgana laughs, smile wide on his face. “Did you forget, Lady Ann? The power of cognition was strong back there. Ren was able to manifest that knife after all.”

“So you’re saying that you...grew a human body by thinking real hard?” Kanji asks.

“Well...I guess that’s technically not wrong but...”

“No that’s pretty much it.” Futaba laughs.

“Well I for one approve, one hundred percent! It’s beary nice!” Teddie puts an arm around Mogana’s neck with a wide smile on his face.

“What am I going to tell my parents though?” Ren sighs. “They just got used to having a cat in the house and now the cat is a person.”

“You could always kick him out you know. You have a chance to.” Ryuji smirks, laughing when Morgana glares at him.

“You could just convince your folks to adopt him.” Kou suggests. “But he’d need paper work and such...”

“This is where I come in!” Futaba exclaims. “Making all the right documents for Mona will be easy!”

Yu looks over to his uncle. “This won’t be an issue, would it Uncle?”

Dojima sighs, shaking his head. “After all this crazyness, I can overlook this just this once. I’ll do what I can to make sure it goes right. Can’t have this kid going homeless, right?”

Yosuke looks around. “Speaking of overlooking...where did Adachi go?”

“Him? He left as soon as he got out of the TV he was trapped in. By my guess, he went to his cell before anyone could notice he got out.”

“Then perhaps it’s time I head on as well...stay too long here and I’m bound to be recognized.” Akechi states, putting his hood up as he starts to walk off...only to be grabbed by the arm.

“And just where do you think you’re going, Goro?” Sae demands, a stern look on her face. “You still need to tell me about your involvement with the scandal last year.”

“...right. I figured I wouldn’t get far enough without getting interrogated by you, Sae-san.” Goro sighs.

Sae looks to Mitsuru. “Do you mind if I use your chopper as a makeshift interrogation room?”

“By all means.”

The two head to the chopper as everyone watches. Minato sighs.

“Well now that I’m here for good...it’s summer right? Why don’t we make the most of it. Didn’t that Amagi Inn have hot springs?”

Yukiko nods. “Yes we do! Do you all want to go spend a night there? We’d love to have you.”

“Pay attention to who’s turn for the bathes it is this time, Yukiko.” Naoto sighs, shaking her head remembering...the incident.

The group all heads for the inn, but Mishima lags behind just a bit. The events are still playing out in his head. He awakened to a Persona, and was able to train alongside all those who were more skilled then he was. Only, in the end he couldn’t contribute much. He was captured during his first true attempt, and seeing Ren and the other wild cards accomplish what they did...didn’t help matters at all.

As the guys head into the outdoor bath, Mishima is still thinking it all over. Only for Ryuji to nudge him.

“Hey man, don’t be so glum. We effing won against a freaking god!” He laughs.

“Hey, not so loud!” Ren mutters. “We have to keep this all under wraps remember?”

“We didn’t. It was Ren, Yu, Minato, Sho and Akechi. They were the ones who defeated him in the end.” Mishima sighs.

“I know you think about it like that but, it was because we managed to free you all that we really won in the end.” Yu points out.

“Had it not been for our bonds with you all, we would have lost.” Minato puts his hands behind his head.

“So...it really was a team effort in the end?” Mishima suddenly looks a bit happier.

“For sure, man. We all played our part.” Kanji smiles.

“Speaking of team effort...Mitsuru wanted me to ask something of you Thieves.” Akihiko states. “She wants you all to keep in contact should another issue like this crop up.”

“So you wish for us to join under the banner of the Shadow Operatives then?” Yusuke asks. “We would want something in return should we agree, you know.”

“Geez, you guys really are thieves if you’re asking it like that.” Ken sighs. “But what could we offer in return?”

Morgana laughs, rubbing his hands together. “Well if you really must ask, how about a life time supply of tuna!”

Ryuji shoves the former cat’s head under the water for a bit before letting go. “Ignore him.”

“This should really be up to Ren, right? He is our leader after all.” Mishima points out.

“We want a few things in return for our services.” Ren smirks. “First and foremost, Mishima here is currently working on a documentary for us. If Mitsuru could provide funding so it can become a reality.”

“That’s not that bad of a request. What else?” Junpei asks.

“Next, we want to get as much info on Persona and the many ways Shadows can come into being. If you could allow us access to that martial.”

“I’d question why, but it’s good to know. What else?” Minato asks.

“Keep a close eye on Akechi. Don’t let him off your radar. I know he’s going to go back into hiding after this and it might not be long before Shido’s shoe lickers get to him. He knows info that we’d all die to know so it’s important to keep that source safe and sound.”

“Done.” Akihiko nods. “I’ll let Mitsutu know later.”

“Then you have a deal.” Ren slumps a bit into the water with a satisfied look on his face.

“But maan...this was not how I expected to kick off my Summer..” Ryuji laughs, slumping in a bit himself. “I was fully prepared for a lax couple of weeks in a country town, not saving the effing country again.”

“Despite how we did meet originally, I’m glad we were able to come out of all of this as friends.” Yu smiles, laughing a bit.

“And, I was right! The TV World was actually in danger after all!” Yosuke seems proud of himself as he states this.

“Are you sure that’s really why you had us snoop, Yosuke-senpai? Or was it because you bored as hell two days into your summer?” Kanji looks at him hard, which causes everyone to laugh.

“Sh-Shut up okay?! Safety was my first priority!”

“I think I see your Shadow, Yosuke~” Teddie teases.

Minato looks up to the starlit sky, and smiles. The world might have changed some while he was gone...but at the end of it all...he gained more friends. And that’s what mattered the most, in the end.

spent the weekend doing some simple portraits of oc’s of mine, after making several for commissions.. Tryggvi is the only one not of the same universe as the rest, but then again.. He sneaks himself into all universes, somehow.

Mika She is a creation of Eitir, an Ultieer. Based on the genome of Neila, daughter of Latif. (Like all of that, is... Takes a while to explain) But her "adoptive” father was a federal agent, a strict sort that at times resolved to using physical punishment in child rearing. He wasn't a bad father, or particularly abusive, but it didn't stop Mika from running away from home after one such altercation. She was around 13 at that time, and too young to be running the streets, but after she had cooled down from the fight with her father, she felt too ashamed to go back home, and never did. Her father however never stopped looking for her. They crossed paths a few times, once while he was working a case. Seated on the opposite subway from hers. She panicked, he had renewed hope at returning her back home. Using the resources at his disposal, he located where she had been staying. But what he was met with was a man not entirely human, Zethymir. Zethymir was there to kill Mika, but left having killed her father instead. Mika is like the universes “fuck you” to itself, and everything in it. She seems insignificant, besides the part where she got a “seer assigned assassination” on her head, by the Ferrians. Which is targets assigned by Ferrians seers to make the war go smoothly. This was to be preformed by Zethymir, who for reasons he couldn't understand then, was unable to do so.

Big Tree Bullseye (Bullseye is the name Mika gave him, because he got a knack of getting shot.) Big Tree and Mika share the same problem, Ferrian’s got one of their siblings. Mika was at one point confronted with her younger brother, who the Ferrians had tried to alter for their indoctrination into their own society. Mainly to give him access to their “connection”. Didn't go well. Big Tree wounded his shoulder during a skirmish with the Sioux, and was rendered unable to properly use a bow from then on. This lead him to feel shameful, and useless to his mother and sisters and the village as whole. Eventually he started to drink a lot, this in return lead him to get more and more familiar with the language of the white man. During that time he met with white folks more frequently and learned more of the language, which gave him the opportunity to handle trading with them, and similar tasks. Eventually making him a representative of the Pawnee, earning him the Indian peace medal by the US. That gave him a lot of the honour back, in which he felt he had lost. He had the medal, the others didn’t, he’d boast a bit, the others would envy him a bit, they’d joke about it and all seemed fine again. Until a day when a flash in the sky caught the tribe’s attention. A group along with Big Tree went to check it out, but unbeknownst to the rest of them, his younger sister was convinced that this was Tirawahut's doing, and wished to see it for herself.. And shit went down... What it was, was time and space displacement gone awry. The cause was an experiment during the Ferrian Earth war. Sending him and his sister across time. His sister was captured by the Ferrians moments after. Big Tree sets out to find his sister, in a world he doesn't understand. He eventually come across Mika, whom he, in mild terms "kidnaps." She wears a necklace in which he recognize from one of the Ferrian warriors who took his sister. He believes Mika to be a means to find his sister again. Those two eventually become an unlikely pair of friends. An unstoppable force of "wtf just happened."

Zethymir Was created by a man named Eitir (Ultieer) for the purpose to infiltrate the Ferrian people. Zethymir was partially created using a Ferrian captive and Eitir's own genome. The Ferrian captive/slave, was a third gen captive of the Ultiers. As they had managed to capture a fleet belonging to Ferrians centuries ago. They had kept the prisoners, and bred them for.. Specific reasons, I'm not going into. Eitir picked out a large group of slaves and placed them on a ship, including Zethymir and his mother. This was meant as a lure, to ensure that Zethymir would be taken into the Ferrian society. The ship was placed on a route in which Eitir knew a Ferrian ship would pass. He launched the "vultures," onto the ship with the slaves. (They are essentially the same as the Reavers in firefly, to an extent. They are subgroup of Ultiers.) Ferrians are one of the biggest proponent in the galaxy in fighting and hunting Vultures. (Who most don't know are Ultiers, most don't know the existence of Ultiers either..) Now everyone on the slave ship knew they were the sacrificial lamb, to ensure that Zethymir would be taken in by the Ferrians. He was at that point a young boy, and he wasn't supposed to be exposed to the vultures, but hearing his mother being attacked he came out of hiding. Which just caused him to be attacked as well. Luckily for him at least, the Ferrian slaves did what they could to save him, ensuring he remained alive until the other Ferrian ship got lured in. Zethymir was taken in by the Fewyn leader among the Ferrians, and trained to become a Fewyn himself. The Fewyn are specially trained Ferrians soldiers, for more specific tasks than “war”. The ship he was found on was considered a mystery, as Ferrians being rather xenophobic tend to keep to themselves. Not that they don’t travel outside their solar system, but such a large ship with so many people, they’d know about it. Lacking the connection as Ferrians have (a form of emotional bond) and his few but noticeable physical differences from Ferrians in general made it so that he was never properly accepted in that society. Those "flaws" in him was made intentional by Eitir, to ensure Zethymir's loyalty to him rather than growing fond of the Ferrian people.

Makhan Aeli He is a character that grew in my mind, without me feeling like i had any choice in the matter. Which is ironic. He is the son of the Masaf, and the next in line to become so. Masaf being the ruler in the Ferrian society. Who is to be Masaf is always determined by who is the strongest among them. This is thoroughly tested while they are young. It is however highly hereditary. Makhan in many ways seem like a gentle and kind person, his mannerisms are soft, in both voice and body language. But he has grown extremely cold and wicked. However it never plays out in an obvious manner, it's always subtle and often devastating. He read minds, and shapes them. The extent of what he can do isn't well known to his own people, but he can even manipulate the bond the Ferrians share. He's so set on what he is meant to do as a Masaf, that he doesn't quite realise why it is that marrying a woman and having a child with her is causing him to rot from the inside. He is a gay man, with one exception. The only woman he ever felt attraction to was his own sister. While you may find incestuous marriages on occasion among what you could consider "the royalty" of the Ferrians, it wasn't at all the norm. She in return was set for an arranged marriage to the son of the Fewyn leader, Jatekh. Makhan could manipulate Neila in any way he liked, and was often tempted to do so. In the end he did at least allow himself to form her mind, so she'd never grow affection towards Jatekh. Jatekh is, however Makhan's closest friend.

Tryggvi Haah...

Maguwa Her mother left her father while she was around 11 years old. Her father found it difficult to raise his daughter in the big cities, and eventually moved them both to a fishing town in Maine. He got a job as a deckhand, but still struggled in a the role as a lone parent. Maguwa understood this, and did her best for her age to make life easier for him. In essence they both took care of one another. Her discipline lead her to a life in the military. She became a target for the Ferrians as well, and they… Sorta succeed in their task in killing her. But then there was Mika. Who fucks up everything, because that’s what she is good at. Maguwa ends up leading one of the resistance groups in the war.

Muul She's like an ADHD Han Solo? Her Husband Diz.. A calmer... Leia. They had to run from their home planet when Diz decided he wanted to bond with Muul. Diz was through a genetic tests risen to nobility as young boy, and Muul was a lowly criminal. Having such a pairing was seen as a catastrophe among the nobles, one they’d kill for. They eventually find refuge among the Angelan and start up their own galactic news station. Ehhh, you got secrets? Not for long.
