yeah the poll runner made a shitty disrespectful comment but was that worth sending enough death threats and harassment (when there should have been none of that at All) to chase them off the website . i know mcyt fandom has a moderately bad rep across fandom spaces and you wanna be defensive but the reaction is so fucking disproportionate to what was actually done that its like . yeah no wonder everybody thinks mcyt fans suck we are actively shitty and hostile when it comes to like any kind of conflict ever. even between mcyt communities and even within each of those subcommunities people just immediately start lunging for throats when someone says or does something that sucks

i swear to god i need people to get over their weird aversion to the term "mcyt" im so tired of seeing people call their faves "ex-mcyt" or angrily insisting they're Actually Variety Streamers or whatever NO ONE CARES ! if you play minecraft and hang out with minecrafters you're a mcyt it's a neutral term that can co-exist with anything else that fits
