what if I want to seek out your holiness; what if I want more than you have given me; if I want to see myself wrapped in you, bound to you, bearing my heart’s strange fire on clean, unblemished palms. what if I tapped on each stone waiting to hear your echo, and I was ready to be kissed with holy flames--to leave nothing behind but this empty, reaching form.
