By the way, lurkers are welcome on my blog<33
Yeah, yeah, Writeblr is a community and all that. But I get it.
Some of us have anxiety disorders. Some of us are (or were once) minors on the internet who had it drilled into us to never make our presence known in online spaces lest we get stalked or groomed.
It's okay if interacting is outside of your comfort zone.
Some of us aren't actually on tumblr enough to make making a Writeblr intro worth it.
Some of us prefer to take a few months, maybe years, observing the community to learn the rules. And let's face it, there is a huge learning curve to Tumblr culture. I came here from Pinterest in like 2018 and hooo boy was it intimidating!
Like, I was that 17 year old pinterest lurker with an anxiety disorder who was taught that internet safety meant "never comment on anything" who took a few years before I felt comfortable enough with tumblr culture to reblog things with tags, let alone make public posts.
So I guess what I am saying is, I can't judge. Because I've been there.
Writeblr is a community. And the community (for me) is the best part. And remember that if you don't contribute to the community you don't get to complain about it either. But this is also a public space. Silent observers are to be expected. And on my blog you are welcome.

Just to make something clear, Gaelic paganism (and folk practices) is not closed, you do not need any initiation and anyone telling you need "celtic" blood is just a racist. Anyone in the world from anywhere in the world can do it.
That doesn't mean you can pick and choose what words and figures you like from it, remove them from their original contexts, add nonsense information and claim it as fact (UPG should always be labeled as such especially if its in complete opposition to established lore). And then claim these terms and ideas actually have nothing to do with Ireland, The Isle of Mann and Highland Scotland. This is appropriation. Especially when this is all being spearheaded by English people in the 50s.

kinda weird question (ifs fine if you don't answer) how do you know you're a system?
Anon, that is a question that is hard to answer without writing an entire essay & has been answered in many ways by many people. The first step, in my opinion, is to look over the diagnostic criteria. Regardless of your belief on the disordered status of plurality, the diagnostic criteria for DID & OSDD-1b and 1a lays out some of the more typical aspects of plurality that may be helpful for a questioning system.
The major difference between DID & OSDD and dissociation as a symptom of other disorders is, of course, the presence of alters. Dissociative amnesia, fugue states, and even changes of personality are not symptoms exclusive to DID & OSDD, and non-disorded models of plurality may not require DID & OSDD symptoms.
Alters, however, can be hard to define - The theory of structural dissociation suggest that dissociation exists on a spectrum, from the emotional state of PTSD, to the more extreme dissonance sometimes found in BPD, to alters in DID & OSDD systems. Generally speaking, they are distinguished by the memory barriers between them, which may be blackout amnesia (unable to remember anything), or emotional amnesia (do not feel that you were in control of those actions), or some mixture of the two.
Discovery of the presence of alters can be a challenge for the very same reason - if you don't remember that somebody else was controlling your body, then you will not question it. Therefore, physical communication (e.g. diaries) is strongly encouraged for systems who do not have good internal communication (ability to hear & distinguish the "mental voice" of alters who are currently fronting). Please note that alters sometime may not be aware that they are alters, and if they are, may attempt to avoid discovery, so this is not a foolproof technique.
DID & OSDD & general plurality is also prone to very varying presentation, which can make it harder to figure out. Having two alters is just as possible as having five hundred, and alters may consider themselves parts of a whole, or completely distinct individuals. There is no advice I could give which may not be contradicted by another plural person, so do take everything I say with a grain of salt.
Keep track of your symptoms, keep a log, keep an open mind - being a system is not a death sentence, but neither is being mistaken - and do your own research. There is a lot of resources of varying reliability out there, so do exercise caution & critical thinking, but hopefully they will be helpful. Good luck, Anon.

what grinds my gears, and happen so very often:
short post, and just for my blog (here just to have place to input it in)
0/27, 17/04/24 Random thoughts
many intenrnet posts about "how people love..." to be awake at 1-5am, "just to be in..." dark and silence, alone, with their thoughts - when one person pinpoints it, it is romantic for a while. but then, it starts to (get popular,) feel sacharine and there are copycats andcomments to it. makes one wonder ?how so?"
...
what to do? it feels like the best era already happened, and we live in the last era - last juice of past glory - pastiche of it. '97-'15 peak (/before big-media...). after that, culture and society went to era of "meta-criticism", being critical about why [it] is so critical... - gives me the same "vibes" as if... your dreams came true, - but then , as if - you start to feel guilty, lied to (sorts of "suffering from success"), weird ("and now what!") - similar to about any [post-revolution] (brainfog) zeitgeist -
you got what you want(ed), - but how to assure this wont repeat, that [*this*] will not be took for granted (...), forgotten, and bagatelized - (new-)normalized, - simplified, and >> used in (some, pol.) future campaign , and or used in some form of (pol., soc.) coercion?!! -
- just *another* status quo, "without" history!
(they npcs accept unacceptable)

(this ask isnt really meant to be answered but if youd like to or to post about it go ahead)
tw for ableist and abuse mentions
this person called idkpillows has been reblogging your posts (specifically ones that are violent in nature), which it in itself isnt bad, but they believe in borderline, antisocial, and narcissistic abuse. idk exactly why they are reblogging them but i assume to prove that those disorders are "dangerous", and that those kinds of abuse is "real". which.. is really nasty.
idk if you have blocked them yet but if you havent i really suggest doing so since they like infiltrating npd, aspd, and bpd safe spaces in specific
so sorry to bring this bad news but i feel its safer to send this ask than for one of your mods seeing any of their posts without warning.
um yeah thank you for reading this
Eugh, we'll have them blocked right away. Thanks for the heads up, anon; I recommend other folks block them too, just to be safe. (I don't, however, recommend harassing them--even if I did condone harassment (which I don't in any situation), doing so would just prove their point, whatever that may be)
