The Time Corridor
Tumblr media
Skeletor goes back in time to build his own evil fortress in place of Castle Grayskull. Except, wait, he does want Grayskull to be built, he’s just building his own evil castle to hide the Infinity Wheel (which is separate from the Time Corridor they time travel with, I think) while it spins faster and gets bigger until it explodes in the future (which is the present) and then it destroys Castle Grayskull. Maybe? This one was confusing.
Episode Highlights:

Ancient Eternians. I am so in love with the implication that those helmets Man-At-Arms and the palace guards wear are actually part of some great ancient tradition of dressing Like That.

I listen to a lo-fi playlist while I study and while listening to the lo-fi video Will Smith uploaded a couple years ago I made the most wholesome connection
- there is a soundbite of finn from adventure time saying “okay” in one of the songs
- will smiths daughter, willow smith, loves adventure time (she uploaded two fan songs for Marceline)
- he probably knows who finn is because he watched adventure time with his kids TToTT :,)

Who's your favorite voice actor for Sonic?
Roger Craig Smith, without a doubt.
While I grew up with Jason Griffith in Sonic X, Roger is just the definitive version of Sonic for me.
When he's given good line direction and is able to actually give Sonic depth outside of bad quips and stupid one liners, Roger just gives the best performance. His best performances, in my opinion, are in Generations, Sonic Boom, Rise of the Wisps and the Twitter Takeovers.
If I had to list my favorite to least favorite voice actors; it'd be Roger, Jason, Ryan and then Jaleel.
Off topic though, but I do hope that Roger will survive the voice actor purge again and is gonna reprise his role in Frontiers because I'm honestly not ready to see him go.

That Part by Lauren Spencer Smith
Tumblr media
Summary: You and Kate have been dating a little less then a year but you couldn't help but think about a future with her.
Warning: pure fluff, Kate has anxiety, engagement, small mention of death
Note: thank you @sycamorelibrary754 for helping me with the ring lol
These moments were your favorite, quiet, peaceful moments with Kate. Inside your shared apartment, you weren’t an ex-HYDRA soldier turned adoptive daughter of Natasha Romanoff and Maria Hill, and she wasn’t training to take over your uncle’s mantel. You both were normal humans enjoying a slow Sunday morning. Kate’s head was in your lap, head turned to face the TV to watch the morning cartoons. You were reading, one hand holding the book while your free hand through your black hair. The book was a simple romantic comedy. You enjoyed these stories because they allowed your brain to have a break from the darkness that you fought every day. The characters were cheesy, and the plot was easy to predict, but it made you feel all warm and fuzzy. At the end of the story, the characters have a happy ending.
Happy ending. You glanced at your girlfriend, whom you’ve only been dating for a year. Maybe it sounded weird, but you wanted the picket fences, an arch around the entrance, and two IKEA twin beds for the kids. Your relationship started rocky, and both were unable to admit their feelings for one another. Your moms could have been more helpful, too. They made it clear that you were off-limits to all the new trainees. It was humiliating, but it didn’t deter the archer. You caught her staring at you; a blush would overtake her cheeks. When she asked you out, you kept it from your parents until your aunt caught Kate kissing you good night. It was better to tell them yourself than to come from Yelena. They took it well, surprising, but gave Kate the shovel talk. “Where did you run off to?” The sound of Kate’s voice pulled you out of your thoughts. Her voice was a few octaves deeper in the morning. You hummed, letting her know you heard her but were confused by her question. She chuckled, moving onto her back to look up at you. “You stopped playing my hair like 5 minutes ago. So where did you go?” She asked again, taking your hand in hers and kissing each finger. You smiled.
“Just thinking about you. Us,” she dropped your hand so it rested on her heart. It was beating fast, her anxiety skyrocketing. “All good things, I promise.”
“Tell me,” she said, sitting up and turning down the volume of the TV. You pressed the bookmark to the spine to avoid losing your place. “Tell me what you were thinking about.”
“It’s going to sound crazy out loud,” you admitted. “Promise me you won’t laugh.” She took both of your hands in hers.
“I would never laugh at anything you say.” Sighing, you bite your lip and focus on your connected hands. It was a stark contrast. Her hands were rough, callouses on her fingers from years of training to be the best. On the flip side, you were smooth. HYDRA used your brains, not your strength. You created the battle plan for every operation. You may not have pulled the trigger, but so much blood was on your hands. You sighed again.
“I was thinking about you, us, our future. I never expected to have a life like this, you know?” She squeezed your hands for you to continue. “When you hold me, I see the end of our movie where you kiss me surrounded by friends and family. I know it sounds lame, and maybe you don’t feel the same. I can’t wait for that part.”
“Would you take my last name, or would I become a Romanoff-Hill?” Your eyes shot up to look into her blue ones. Her eyes were calm but bold, warm but cold with little specks of green. They were windows to her soul. You chuckled.
“Kate Romanoff-Hill is a bit of a mouthful,” her hands moved up your arms and to your waist. It was easy for her to move you onto her lap.
“It is, but I like the sound of it,” your hands went to the back of her neck. “Are you saying you would say yes if I ask you to marry me?”
“Ask me anyway; I don’t care,” you leaned closer. “The only thing I care about is if you’ll meet me there.” It was the consent she needed to capture your lips with hers. Kissing Kate was your favorite. It made your stomach drop and your heart race against your rib cage. It made you feel at home.
*
There weren’t many things that scared Kate. She fought against HYDRA agents, enemies that threatened to disrupt the balance of peace and aliens from another planet. She wasn’t scared. All of her years of training have led her to these moments. However, she was out of her element here. She sat in front of Natasha and Maria in a conference room. She asked if she could speak with them privately after training. Dating you caused the archer to get closer to the Black Widow and Deputy Director; she saw them in a new light. More human, not the soldiers they were known for. During movie nights, Natasha liked to be held by Maria. Dinner would take a little longer sometimes because the couple would start dancing; you inherited that from them. Kate knew it was a privilege to see them like that. “What’s going on, kid?” Natasha asked. They were intimating, and she knew they would do anything for your best interest.
“Right, sorry, I know you have other things to do, and I’m taking up your time, so I appreciate that -”
“Kate,” Maria cut off her nervous rambling. “Breath.” She did just that, a few steady, deep breaths in and out.
“I want to ask Y/n to marry me,” Natasha let out a surprised noise from the back of her throat. “I had this whole speech planned to ask for your blessing, but my anxiety is getting the better of me,” she managed to get the couple to smile. “I am probably not the person you thought would be dating your daughter. I am impulsive, rash, and sometimes reckless, but I am so in love with her that I can’t see my future without her by my side. So I am asking for your blessing.” The room grew silent. Kate was positive Natasha could hear her heart beating against her ribs.
“Kate,” Natasha said. “You are spontaneous but also devoted, loyal, true to your heart. So you are the perfect person for our daughter.”
“Holy shit, I can’t believe you gave it to me,” Kate admitted. Natasha’s eyebrows went to her hairline. “I was given it like a 50 - 50 chance.” Maria chuckled.
“You make her happy. It would be foolish of us to take that away from her.”
*
“I’m so excited!” You said, probably for the 100th time, but Kate couldn’t care less. Your smile was infectious, and it was dampening the nerves in her stomach. They were going to St. Petersburg to visit Melina and Alexei; it would be the archer’s first time meeting your grandparents on Natasha’s side. She was nervous, especially since your parents and Yelena were coming along. The cherry on top is that Kate would ask you to marry her. She was a ball of nerves; if you noticed, you weren’t paying attention. “Melina had a new litter of piglets. I can’t wait to hold one!”
“Keep an eye on her, Kate Bishop.” Yelena teased. “She’ll try to bring one home again.” You rolled your eyes, sticking your tongue at your aunt.
“She almost got away with it, too,” Natasha called from the cockpit. “Until her bag started oinking.”
“It happened one time!” You defended. Everyone laughed as Kate put her arm around your shoulders and kissed your head.
“I’ll get you a pig one day, baby,” you wiggled in your seat and leaned against her. Yelena chuckled.
“You are whipped, Kate Bishop.” The archer flipped her friend off, and you giggled at their interaction.”
*
“Omg!” You shirked. “They are so cute, babushka (grandma).” You were leaning against the wooden pen as Melina was inside handling them. The piglets were skittish about new people and hid behind Melina and their mother.
“Are you going to try to steal one?” She asked. You huffed.
“No, I already got told no on the flight over. But,” you lopped your arm with Kate’s. “Someone did promise me they’d get me a pig.”
“I said one day, sweetheart, not today,” you pouted. “Besides, I don’t think we have enough space in our apartment.” Introducing Kate to your grandparents went without a hitch. Alexei made her swear they would spar before she left to test her strength and dedication. You were holding after a few bottles of vodka; the man would forget that. You saw Melina’s lips cruel up in a smile.
HYDRA and the Red Room’s paths rarely crossed, but you heard her name whispered among the higher-ups. After your adaptation, you learned Melina wrote your training program. It was hard for her to overcome that guilt. “Would you like to hold one?” She asked, standing up with a little piglet in her arms.
“Do you even have to ask?” You held your arms out so your grandmother could place the tiny creature in your arms. Immediately, you brought it closer to your chest. It amazed you how animals and humans were born so small and vulnerable. They relied heavily on those around them until they were more robust and capable of caring for themselves. At one moment, you were this small. Instead of caring for you, your birth giver gave you away. A slight squeal pulled you out of your thoughts. The piglet was getting comfortable. You looked up at Kate, staring at you with a soft smile. “Sorry, I got lost in my head for a second,” you handed the little one back to Melina. “You’re starring,” you said to Kate. “Do I have pig shit on my face or something?”
“No,” she said quickly. “I just think you are the most beautiful girl in the world.”
*
Kate thought it was impossible to fall in love with you more, but seeing you in St. Petersburg was a different you Kate got to fall in love with. There was a softness in how you acted around Alexei and Melina that you’ve never shown her. Kate was curious to know if she knew you were doing it. It was how you hung onto every word during Alexei’s ridiculous stories or your face lit up when Melina surprised you with a gift. It was adorable to watch, and Kate knew your parents loved to see it too, even though Natasha complained they were spoiling you. Kate was so in love with you, and she couldn’t wait to ask you to marry her.
You were curled up near the fireplace, reading one of the many books Melina had. Kate was 90% sure it wasn’t in English. “Hi, pretty girl,” Kate said, placing a new log on the fire. It wasn’t cold in Russia, but Kate learned you liked to have one every night. You smiled and lifted your head, asking for a kiss. Kate was never one to deny you that. She kept it quick as your family was in the kitchen. “I have a surprise,” Kate whispered. “Can I steal you for a moment?” You quickly shoved the bookmark in its place and took her hand. Kate led you upstairs, ignoring the thumbs-up Yelena sent her way.
On the first night, you showed Kate your favorite spot. It was through the window on the second floor to the flattest part of the roof and the perfect views of the property. You told her that Natasha and Maria had a heart attack when they found you asleep in the same spot. Kate opened the window and helped you to climb on the now-decorated roof. She heard you gasp as she joined you. A blanket with pillows and fairy lights lite up the dark space. There was a cooler filled with your favorite desserts. “You did all of this for me,” you said. Kate nodded. “Why?”
“Because I wanted to,” Kate chuckled. “Sit. Melina helped me make your favorites.” The older Black Widow was overjoyed when Kate approached her for help. Your favorite was the pitchy Moloko, a thick but light cake with a rich chocolate ganache glaze. She made medovik, a famous honey cake, and varenye, a traditional dessert with various fruits and berries cooked with sugar. Melina helped Kate make her favorite, syrniki, a fried cottage cheese pancake topped with apple sauce. You made it for her when she first started dating, learning quickly Kate preferred to savor desserts over sweets.
With your belly filled with sweets, you learned heavily from Kate and looked up at the stars. She had to admit she was jealous of the life Alexei and Melina built for themselves out here, away from all the fighting and bloodshed. Clint walked away from it, too. She could as well. “Thank you for this,” you broke the silence. “And for meeting the rest of my family.”
“No place I’d rather be, sweetheart,” she honestly said. As long as you were by her side, she would be home. “Actually,” Kate pulled away from you, smiling at your whine of protest. “I have one more surprise.” Carefully, she pulled you to your feet and took both of your hands. “Y/n Romanoff-Hill, ever since I saw you in training, I knew you were going to be trouble,” you giggled, a small smile on your face. “Even with your parent’s clear order to stay away from you, I couldn’t. I knew I needed to be in your life. I didn’t expect to fall head over heels in love with you.”
“It’s my charm,” you teased. “I get it from my moms.” Kate huffed out a laugh. Tears were forming in the corner of your eyes.
“You are the light at the end of the tunnel—my saving grace. I keep fighting to return home after the mission,” Kate said. She got down on one knee and took the ring out of her pocket. “Will you marry me and make me the happiest person in the multiverse?” She asked. You gasped, and your free hand covered your mouth as Kate opened the small jewelry box. Wanda helped her pick out the ring with your mom’s and aunt’s approval. The ring was more contemporary, with a square-cut diamond in the center and the bands intertwined with diamonds on the side. Tears were freely falling down your face. All Kate needed was your answer.
“Kate Bishop,” you whispered. “Of course, I’ll marry you.” The archer let out a sigh of relief as you pulled her to her feet. With shaky hands, she put the ring on your finger. It fit perfectly. You were quick to kiss her. Your lips tasted sweet from the chocolate and salty from your tears. You ended the kiss, keeping your forehead against hers. Kate could feel your breath on her lips. “I’m going to be your wife.” Wife. Wife. She was going to marry you. Holy shit. Kate laughed, lifting you and spinning you around. Your laughter was music to her ears.
“Come on,” she said. “I know some people are excited to hear the news.”
*
Your right hand was tightly in Kate’s. You were getting married. You had a wedding to plan and a dress to buy. Holy shit. “So,” Natasha smiled. She was the first to see you descending the stairs. It got the other’s attention. Instead of answering, you showed her your left hand.
“Finally!” Yelena cheered. “We can get drunk!” You laughed at your aunt’s antics and made your way around your family to show them your ring. It was beautiful, exactly what you dreamed about.
“Congratulations, squirt,” you turned around, surprised by the sudden voice.
“Uncle Clint!” You said, running over to the man and throwing yourself in his arms. “What are you doing here?” The man rolled his eyes.
“Do you really think we would miss your engagement?” This time, it was Wanda appearing through the door. “The others are coming.” You looked back at Kate, who had a sweet smile.
“You did this,” she shrugged.
“I had some help to make it happen.” Clint walked over to Kate and hugged her, kissing her on the side of her head. When you first met Kate, you told one person of your feelings for the archer. That was Wanda; you told her you would disobey your parents and date her. Now look where you were, surrounded by your family, celebrating your engagement. Kate wrapped her arms around your waist, resting her head on your shoulder. She swayed to the music that was playing.
“Where did you run off to?” She asked, kissing your neck.
“Just thinking about us,” you responded similarly when she asked you that Sunday morning. “Can’t wait for the next part.”

baby's breath | 7
Tumblr media
↠  summary: Merely by coincidence, Erwin, your father's former friend had crossed paths with you again after nearly a decade. He offered solace once finding out you were struggling with not just school, but your home life as well. His home he shared with another one of your father's friends, Levi, became a sanctuary. Though, the more you came over for study sessions, the more they wiggled themselves into your private life. And like baby's breath, they weeded themselves in so deep you couldn't uproot them.

Playing it safe, within the time you were allowed to sleep on the couch, you dared not go forth with your plan. And thank god you didn’t since Levi got into the habit to come down stairs a couple times in the night. This was how you learned how much of an insomniac Levi was. Most nights he would leave you be and would make his tea. Though last night, he sat on the couch like he did over a week ago. Or at least you thought it had been. Time passed so differently here. All you knew was July quickly approached with the temperature rising.
A routine had been set. During the day Levi watched over you while Erwin kept up the facade of a professor. The couple days he came home late you quickly learned wasn’t because of paperwork, but taking Levi’s place to ‘keep people in line.’ Curiosity ate away at you to know what exactly they did behind the scenes. Though, for your sanity you didn’t ask questions.
Levi’s previous threat of you not being Erwin’s first stray never left your brain. How long before you were to be discarded like a broken doll? Or was Levi lying out of his ass to keep you in line? Try as you might, you couldn’t stop the questions swirling around your head. Even if they sent you in a frenzy, you wanted to be prepared for anything to happen.
But, surprisingly, everything lulled. Your head had gotten significantly better. You barely had any headaches now and you were able to watch the TV in small doses. Despite feeling better, you refused to let the two of them know how much better you were. Feigning weakness to feed into Erwin’s want to baby you and to have Levi get off your back, you played dead like a possum.
Sun slowly slipped down the sky like an exposed yolk. Twilight crept into the living room where you sat, observing Levi making dinner for you three. Over the course of the week or so you were recovering, you were able to eat at the table. When Erwin would come home late into the night, Levi let you sit in your own chair. Skeptical of him, you tried to subtly side-eye him, but he easily caught it.
“You’re not a child,” He had said.
His words were true, though you didn’t really believe him. Levi sure did treat you like a incompetent child. Especially when he let you eat by yourself he made a comment not to choke. You had gripped your plastic fork (he wasn’t stupid enough to give you something you could actually hurt him with) to conceal your rage. Maybe he said it to get under your skin. It only served to vex you more that it had worked.
Fiddling with the TV remote, you watched the cartoon displayed on the screen. So lost in thought, you almost didn’t hear the sound of the locks being turned. Head shooting up, you watched Erwin walk through the door, suitcase in hand. Exhaustion was apparent on his face.
Toeing off his dress shoes inside the mudroom, he walked further into the home. Walking past you, he didn’t even acknowledge your presence. Perplexion physically formed on your face. Turning your body on the couch, you watched Erwin’s hunched, broad shoulders move towards his office. Glasses slipping off his face, from deep in the room you hear him throw them onto his desk.
Locking eyes with Levi, the man didn’t offer you any resolve, going back to stirring the food in the pan.
“Make yourself useful and set the table,” He called out to you.
Still confused, you followed the order, not wanting to ire the other man in the house. The couch creaked as you got up and shuffled over to the kitchen. Heart in your throat, you walked past Levi to reach into the cabinet. When everyone was awake, the men kept them unlocked. What really could you do with Levi breathing down your neck.
Opening the cabinet, you reached for three plates.
“Only grab two.”
Those simple words had anger grip you. You always forgot when Erwin was home what little autonomy you had, vanished. Sure, Levi had beaten and raped you, but at least he didn’t touch you since then. If anything it seemed he avoided any skin contact.
Moving your fingers to take the dishes, you clutched them in your hands and went towards the table. The resilient, but the stupid part of you wanted to break the plates and pierce Levi in the side of his throat. He could never touch you again, but his hands will be imprinted on you for a lifetime. You wanted to scar him as he did you.
You placed the plates on the table.
Sliding one at the head of the table and then one at side, you went to the drawers to grab cutlery. Forks and knives in hand, you repeated the motion. You did the same with the cups.
Standing in the middle of the dining room, you waited for an order. Unease settled in your gut. The routine had been broken. Erwin always acknowledged you when he got home and Levi never let you touch the dishes. Something bad was going to happen to you. They couldn’t have known your plan already, could they? You were only joking when you thought Levi could read your mind.
You tried to muffle your stuttering breaths. Nostrils flared, you stared at the ground with watering eyes. A panic attack about to overtake you, you wanted to vomit. You weren’t even here for more than ten days and you were on the verge of insanity. Such a small part of you wanted to go back to the old days where you considered the men father figures, but the bigger part wanted to slit their throats in their sleep.
Shutting down, you sucked in your tears and disassociated.
The burner flicked off with a click and Levi pivoted to look at you still staring at the floor. A haunting blank expression spread on your visage. He snapped his fingers in front of your face and you barely registered it. Slowly you looked up at him.
“What the fuck is up with you?” He gruffly asked, brow furrowed.
You shrugged, looking very similar to the petulant child he frequently called you. He opened his mouth to question you further, but Erwin lumbered into the room. His expression steely.
Still ignoring you, he grabbed his plate and put a hefty amount of the food onto the plate. With the filled water pitcher at the table, he poured enough water, it almost spilled over the brim. Following his movement, Levi grabbed his plate and put a significantly less amount.
“Princess, come.”
Beckoned like a dog, you hesitantly stumbled closer. Gently, Erwin placed you on his lap. Tugging you closer, you sat until your back was flushed to his front. Entangled in his form, you felt so tiny, so weak. One arm slung across your waist, the way his bicep flexed against your side, you knew Erwin’s strength. Like Levi, he could easily crush you.
Stabbing his fork into his food, he elegantly brought it up and wrapped his lips around it. After one bite, Erwin put his fork down and turned you around slightly. Grabbing the nearly spilling cup, he brought it up to you.
“Can you do me a favor and drink this all for me?” He posed it as a question, but you knew a demand when you heard one.
Gulping, you dared to ask, “Why?”
Blithely smiling, he said, “I can’t make sure my little girl is hydrated? We have to make sure you get better as quickly as possible.”
Uncomfortable, you squirmed and then hissed when his hand dug into your side. For some reason, your eyes bounced to Levi who watched on, eating his food without a care. Suspicious, you go to take the glass from Erwin, but he jerked it back and tsked at you.
Dropping your hands, you let him put the cold glass to your lips. Shuttering, you willed away the memories begging to surface. You were no longer in the basement, you were no longer in the basement, you were no longer in the basement.
Not realizing how thirsty you were, you swallowed half of the cup before trying to pull away. Erwin followed your head.
“Uh uh, drink all of it.”
Clenching your eyes, you wrapped your hands around his wrist to stabilize yourself. Quickly you consumed all the cold water that laid heavy in your stomach. Once the cup no longer sat on your lips, you gulped any air you could.
The glass clinked around the table. Rubbing your side as encouragement, Erwin poured more water into the cup. More nervous than ever, you tried to claw at the arm digging into your ribs.
“Have your tantrum now because I won’t tolerate it soon enough,” Erwin’s tone pierced you.
He had gone back to eating. After a couple of bites, he offered you some. Stomach already full from the water and anxiety, you turned away. Though he quickly gripped your jaw and forced you towards him. Hands free, you attempted to slap his wrist away. His fingertips squeezed your mandible until your mouth dropped from the pain. Shoving a forkful of food into the cavity, he loosely cradled your jaw to make sure you chewed.
Glare strewn across your face, you ground the food and swallowed. “I hate you.”
Erwin brought another forkful to his own lips and stared you down as he chewed. He looked at you as if you were a toddler throwing a fit. A simple, blank expression rendered you on edge. Those deep blues analyzed your very being. Tearing you apart to a molecular level to see what made you tick.
Unnerved, you kept your hands curled in your lap. Stabbing more food, Erwin brought the food to your lips after his bite. You tried not to think of you sharing saliva with the man. Throughout dinner, Erwin didn’t take a sip of his drink. Erwin kept feeding himself and then you until three-fourths of the plate was empty. The water left stagnant in the cup.
Pausing in his eating, he went for the cup again and went towards your lips. If you drank the water, you surely would explode. Already full, you felt the tickle in your bladder telling you you needed the bathroom.
“E-erwin I can’t. I’m full,” Instinctively, you put your hands up to stop him.
The hand on your hips snaked up to grab your hand and forced your head still. “Don’t make me hurt you.”
You wanted so badly to cradle your head, his hand right where your healing wound sat. Sniffling your resolve, you dropped your hands and parted your lips. Cold glass touching you again, you tried to float away from the kitchen to somewhere, anywhere but here. Tipping the cup forward, you forcibly swallowed down all the water.
Your throat bobbed as you drank all you could. Once the very last drop sat in your stomach, you coughed and tried not to gag. Placing a hand over your mouth, you breathed through the nausea. Water pouring into the cup once again had a shutter running through you.
Erwin rubbed your back as you hunched over. He went back to eating. Once you calmed down, he tried to feed you once more. You were so full, you couldn’t take anymore or you would actually throw up.
“Please,” You pleaded. It fell upon deaf ears.
“Eat.”
Blatantly sobbing, Erwin took the opportunity to shovel the food into your mouth. You had no idea what warranted him being so cruel to you. Did he really find out you stole his glasses screwdriver? And if so, why won’t he tell you why he’s punishing you now?
Spiteful, you go to spit the food at him, but he slammed a hand over your mouth. His large hand encompassed all over your lower face, even your nose. Smothering you, you still refused to swallow. With a free hand, his fingers massaged your throat triggering your reflex. Ingesting the food, Erwin released you.
Cradling your stomach, you sagged into Erwin, in pain. Your stomach stuffed to the brim and pushing on your bladder, you felt the need to go. Fear gripped you as you had an inclination he wouldn’t let you off that easily.
Taking the last bites of food, the man reached for the glass. Already knowing what was going to happen, you thrusted yourself from his form and jumped from his lap. If you drank anymore you would pee yourself. Not being able to handle the humiliation of doing that again in the span of less than two weeks, you struggled.
Easily, he spun you in his lap so you were back to chest. His elbow held down your body as he tipped the glass in your mouth. His other hand pinched your nose so you had to imbibe every last drop. Digging your nails into his forearm, you tried to shake your head, but you were immobilized.
Once the glass sat on the table again, you coughed and gagged. Erwin engulfed your face once more and forced your head into his shoulder. “You throw any of it up and we will do this all over again.”
He let you settle until your tummy stopped flipping. Levi at this point got up and cleaned up dinner, not saying a word through the whole thing. Plates clattering in the sink made you jump. Staring at the ceiling, you tried not to focus on your stomach pressed down on your bladder.
Deeming you ready enough, Erwin picked you up quite awkwardly. He lifted you with just the arm wrapped around your waist, feet dangling. Like a child carrying a disgruntled cat. Taking you into the living room that Levi already sat in, Erwin placed you in the middle. The coffee table had been moved to the side and instead there was a mat with a paw print pattern. The paws were raised. He had your body sink on the mat, your knees taking the brunt of it. Under it, laid a puppy pad.
Fuck.
Kneeling on the mat, Erwin came to squat in front of you. He grabbed your hands and placed them on your knees.
“This is punishment for what you did to Levi.”
Your head sprung up and you seethed, “I already was punished.”
“That wasn’t punishment, that was Levi unable to handle his emotions,” Levi clicked his tongue from somewhere within the room. Erwin continued, “I have been lenient with you since you were injured, but you clearly are well enough considering you poked your nose in stuff that isn’t yours.”
Moving your focus to Levi, you snipped, “Snitch.”
“Not my fault you’re stupid enough to think I wouldn’t tell Erwin,” Both his face and tone flippant.
“Oh yeah I forgot how you’re his bitch—”
Levi’s face turned thunderous, but Erwin promptly slapped you. He barely hit you with any of his strength for the sake of your head. The action still had you reeling as your gaze dropped.
Gripping your jaw again, he kept eye contact. “Don’t squirm or go to the bathroom for an hour and then you will be forgiven. You will be given one warning. Don’t make me repeat myself more than once.”
Fisting your hands until your nails bit into your palms, you weighed the outcomes of behaving or not. Erwin didn’t leave any room to fuck up, he didn’t even say what would happen if you were unable to do the punishment. Plus, the mat already hurt your bare knees.
Exhaling to steel your nerves, you whispered, “Okay.”
Stroking your cheek with his thumb, he reminded you, “No squirming or going to the bathroom for an hour.”
At that he departed from your form. A spectacle in the middle of their living room, the men ignored you for the movie playing. Back facing the screen, you could only guess what entertained them from sounds alone.
The want to wiggle plagued you. Your body already ached from your overstuffed tummy and the grooves of the mat digging into your skin. The pain was minimal, but it itched at you. How you wanted to curl in and hug yourself. The need to vomit still hadn’t passed. Spine straight as a pole, you could only assume his command not to squirm included not moving from where he positioned you.
From where you sat, you watched the men sit on the couch. Bare of you, Levi and Erwin sat at the same couch. They were on opposite sides with no indication of it being for any bad reasons. Levi didn’t seem like the type to cuddle or touch in general. Erwin was a man of poise. If he craved touch, he didn’t seem to be the type to make it apparent. Well, in a normal context.
Here, in this house, he could reign down all his desires on you as he pleased. No different than a man of faith finally led a stray. No longer ignorant and free from his charm, Erwin held no respect for anyone but himself.
Your focus stayed on the space in between them. If they were going to ignore you, you would do the same. Channeling your willpower, you refused to cave. Despite Erwin’s command, you could sense he wanted you to fail. To embarrass yourself as you did Levi.
Resting his cheek against his fist with elbow sat on the arm of the couch, Levi glanced at you. From your peripheral, you saw him leisurely drinking in your form. If you weren’t so stubborn, you would have snapped at him that he’s enjoying this. He must be. You were like this because of him, because of Erwin.
Erwin huffed out a laugh at the TV. Clenching your fingers even tighter, your skin pinched between your nails. You hoped you would bleed. Your thighs started to cramp from being in the same position for who knows how long now. Every second passed slowly, like in molasses. The sticky residue had you wanting to stretch your legs.
Tiny divots imprinted into you. You didn’t know what made you more angry, the mat having pawprints on it or Erwin picked it because of that. Maybe it’s Levi who did since he did have an infinity to call you a bitch or a dog. How much did they have this prepared?
While lost in your thoughts, you felt a small wetness begin in your panties. Instantly you clenched your thighs and stood up straighter. Alright so trying not to pay attention to your bladder didn’t help you at all. Now you were very conscious of it. You didn’t know if that made it better or worse.
Instead of the sting in your knees, your brain flooded you with the ache in your intestines. With it in the forefront of your mind, you wanted to move. When you clenched your thighs, your knees moved slightly causing the sharp edge to dig in your cartilage. Subtly as you could, you shifted to get some sort of relief.
Somehow Erwin caught it.
“First and only warning, Princess.”
Luckily Levi made no comment to tempt you. Steeling yourself, you bit your lip. Still refuse to give the men the reaction they wanted, you didn’t stray from the space in between them. With no idea how much time had passed, you didn’t know how much longer you had. You regret not counting in your head the seconds. Sure, it would have been agonizing, but at least you knew when to give up.
Time sat like this, unmoving like your quivering form. Your toes started to curl in on themselves from the stretch. Squeezing your lids, the cramps in your legs, back and now your feet almost broke you. Laying on the couch for almost a week didn’t help with your stamina.
Body coiled tight like a violin string, your bladder screamed at you. It laid heavy on your other organs. More dribbled out of you and you wanted to screech. Why of all days did your own body betray you? Were you no better than an untrained puppy? Most adults couldn’t even go without a toilet and yet you were here, almost peeing yourself no better than a child. You seethed and scolded yourself for not being stronger.
“Times up, sweet girl,” Erwin’s voice pulled you from your stupor.
Head springing up, you stared at him as if he was lying. Even with those words, you didn’t get up. In this position for so long, your body crystallized. Erwin got up from the couch to get closer to you.
“Can I go now?”
“Go ahead,” He smiled down at you.
Relieved, you raised on your knees to get up slowly, but he clamped a hand on your shoulder and forced you back down.
Confused, you tried to pry away his enormous palm. Slumped on the ground, you were no longer on your knees but your legs to the side of you, your hip digging into the rim of the mat. Your fingers worthlessly scrambled against his to pull them backwards.
“I didn’t move, let me go!”
“I don’t remember saying you could use the bathroom, just not to squirm or go unless you wanted a harsher punishment.”
“You freak,” You barked and raised your hand to punch him in his dick.
Before you could, Levi came behind you and stopped you before you made it worse for yourself.
“Let the poor girl go, Erwin. Honestly I really don’t want to clean up the mess,” Levi sounded exasperated.
Nodding, Erwin let you go and you scrambled away from him. Your legs were pins and needles, stinging as you awkwardly stumbled into the bathroom. No different to a fawn finding its footing.
Behind you, Erwin huffed at Levi that he was merely teasing you. You could almost hear Levi rolling his eyes at the taller man.
Ripping the door open and slamming it closed, you really wish the bathroom had a lock. Finally on the toilet, you let yourself sag until your chest was at your knees. Stuttering breaths erupted from your lungs. The stress of today weighed on you. Muffling your sobs, you refused to move, not caring your panties and shorts hung around your ankles. The ache persisted in your tummy.
The door opened and shut a lot softer than when you shut it. From the barely there footsteps you assumed Levi joined you. Tilting your head up with a tearful glare, his expression stayed stoic.
“Do you need help?” His eyes look at the toilet paper.
Scoffing, you grabbed it yourself, “Don’t fucking coddle me.”
At that, he crossed his arms and leaned against the door, trapping you with him. Realizing how exposed you were, you finished your business and shoved your clothes over your pelvic bone. Getting up from the toilet, you reached behind you to pull the band over your butt. You refused to let him see you naked ever again. Even if it killed you.
Going to the sink, you stared at each other from the mirror. Flicking the water on, you squirt copious amounts of soap in your hands. Vigorously scrubbing, you let muscle memory overtake you as you watched Levi like a prey animal. Water rushing filled the empty silence.
“You’re not doing it correctly.” Pushing himself off the door, he stood behind you.
Wrapping his arms around yours, he took your hands in his. Compared to Erwin’s hands, his seemed almost delicate. Long, slim fingers with slender palms but still littered with calluses. His nails were well manicured, but you could tell he’s a man that used his hands often. Despite this, his still engulfed and cradled yours.
Gently, with his chin over your shoulder, he washed your own hands meticulously.
“Didn’t I say not to coddle me,” You muttered, too tired to actually fight.
“I don’t think you are in the position to tell me what to do,” His voice tickled your neck.
Still staring at him in the mirror, you spoke, “I forget that’s Erwin’s job.”
“I know what you are doing. Knock it off.”
Properly scolded, you looked down and watched how the warm water washed over you both. Hands thoroughly cleaned, Levi released you to let you both respectfully dry your hands. Finished before you, Levi grabbed your annoyingly pink toothbrush and just as annoyingly strawberry toothpaste tube.
The mirror shut with a muffled pop. Confused, you watched on as Levi squirted a hefty amount of toothpaste on the bristles. Wetting it under the water and flipping it back off, his left hand grabbed your jaw and massaged it open. Scared of a repeat of only mere hours ago, you try to tilt your head away. Levi was quick to redirect you.
In the mirror, he placed the toothbrush into your mouth. At first you thought he’s going to gag you, but instead he gently brushed your molars. Eyebrows twisted in perplexion, your eyes go cross-eyed as you stare at the brush in your palate. Memories of your first day trapped here ran through your head. The whole reason why you were punished. He must have been testing you. To see if you would be stupid enough to repeat the same mistake.
This time you will keep your teeth to yourself. For now.
Through the mirror, Levi didn't drift from your mouth. Extremely thorough with each tooth, he moved from one side to the other. Foamy, strawberry flavored drool spilled from your mouth and down onto the sink.
You whimpered at the sticky saliva paint on your chin. Levi paid no mind to it as he pinched your jaw to open your mouth further. With dexterity, he moved to your upper row of teeth, scrubbing away any imperfections. Too tired to really fight, you wrapped your hands around his forearms.
“Spit.”
Listening, you bent over and spat the toothpaste into the sink. Bringing you back up, he spoke again.
“Open, tongue out.”
Warmth filled your face. His words in different context sounded so lewd. His face didn’t portray how his words sounded. Reluctantly, you let your tongue lull out. Hand still on your face, he simply brushed your tongue.
Going deeper into the cavity, you gagged when he hit the back of your throat. He paused, but continued on. He kept the same pace with your tongue, attentive. The brush went too far and you gagged again.
“Spit,” he repeated.
Still queasy from earlier, you gladly did. If he kept hitting the back of your throat, you were going to throw up and you didn’t want him to brush your teeth, again.
Not moving from you quite yet, he rinsed off the brush and put it with the others in the holder. Hands on your shoulders, Levi spun you around slowly. Your grip on his forearms loosening. Grabbing a cloth, he wet it under the water and brought it to your chin. Gently he wiped away any residue.
“Messy,” He absentmindedly commented.
Levi finally let his arms drop. Locking gazes with you once more, he seemed to be… pleased.
The thought had fire sit in your chest. You didn’t want to ever make that man content or pleased with you. The mutual hatred kept your sanity not snapping like a thread. But you couldn’t handle more, so you let it be. Picked your battles.
“Come.”
Pulling completely away, he opened the bathroom door and expected you to follow. Dejectedly you stayed behind him. Instead of taking a right, he went to the left, further down the hall. Right where your room sat.
Pretending to be scared to go back inside and a little spoiled, you grabbed the hem of Levi’s shirt. “Wait!”
He stopped and glared at the hand tugging at him. “What?”
“I don’t want to go back in,” You mumbled.
“Too bad. Erwin spoiled you enough.” Levi grabbed the hand on his shirt and tugged you further down the hall.
You stumbled a little at the pull, but stayed silent otherwise. A tiny smile flinched on your lips before you snuffed it. You dared not look anything but dejected, Levi could sniff out when you were lying like a damn bloodhound.
Light footsteps carried you until you hit your bedroom, nothing out of place. The cage door open, waiting for your arrival. Firmly, Levi brought you to the cage and stuffed you inside. While going in he covered the wiring so your head didn’t hit the metal. There was no need to injure you further.
He closed you in and locked you inside with a snap of the key. The same key you kept seeing. One a bolder, safer night, you will go looking for the source of it. It had to be your ticket out of here.
Crouched at the door, Levi observed you, eyes squinted. “I know you’re up to something, whatever it is, stop it. Erwin only played nice because he’s worried about your concussion worsening.”
“I’m not up to anything,” You glared back. Liar.
“We’ll see about that. Don’t come crying to me when your Daddy beats your ass black and blue.” And with that, he withdrew from your cage and left you alone. He flicked the lights off and shut the door.
Finally alone, you crumpled into a ball and grabbed one of the plushies. Muffling your cries, you sobbed and sobbed until there was nothing left. Hours must have passed as you no longer heard the TV and the light in the hallway didn’t creep into the dimly lit room. Your stomach no longer hurt, at least some of the food digested. A spiteful part of you never wanted to eat again.
No sound bellowed in the house.
Not even the creaking of a bed above you. Patience sure was a virtue, but so was persistence. You couldn’t handle one more night here than needed. Plus Erwin and Levi—well at least Erwin—would think you would be licking your wounds too much to try anything.
Tearing yourself from the blankets and stuffing holding you down, you turn behind you and grab the teddy bear. Sitting up further, you dug your finger in the hole and found the screwdriver still in there. Relieved, you shakily smiled with a quivering exhale.
Shuffling over to the lock, you squeezed your fingers through the gaps and twisted the lock closer to you. It would have been easier if you could get your hands in between the bars, but alas.
The hooked metal strained against the wires. Your fingers pinched the actual lock while the hand with the screwdriver shimmied the shaft far enough inside. Ear close to the mechanism, you listened carefully for clicks. You didn’t even know if this would work, but you could only hope and pray. Pray to any god or deity listening to hear your pleas.
Lids closed, you twisted and turned the screwdriver. You were scared of it not working, but you were more scared of the tiny tool breaking inside the lock. Pushing away the thought, you focused harder. You spun and pulled, spun and pushed, spun and pulled until….
Click. … Click, click, snap.
Springing up, you stared at the lock and tugged on it. It came off. Holy fuck, it came off. Pulling the lock out of the hinges, you threw it behind you on the blankets and pushed open the door.
In disbelief, you numbly crawled out of the cage and further into the room. Learning your lesson, you were more aware of your footsteps. Still crawling to the door, you placed your ear against the slab of wood. The house was still barren of sound. Not even a breath.
Cautiously, you twisted the door and peeked your head out to see nothing in the dark, looming hallway. Now or never, you slipped through the crack and crouched upwards. Low to the ground, you took soft, slow footsteps. Passing the hallway that led to the stairs, you never let it out of your view until you efficiently crossed by it.
Exhales heavy in your chest, you dared not breathe until you were out of its line of sight. The opening into the living room, had you gently release some tension. You stopped at the archway and put your back to the wall, your body facing the living room. Peeking a head out, there’s no one on the couch nor in the kitchen. Safe—for now—you tip-toe ran towards the mudroom.
Kneeling at the small table, you quietly pulled the drawer open and grabbed the flashlight luckily still there. Closing it just as gently, you make sure no one stood behind you. Still in the clear, you got back up and raced towards the hallway window that faced the neighbor’s home.
Crouched at the window, your hands sweaty and clamped around the flashlight, you prayed for someone to be awake. With shaking hands, you turned behind just to be precautious and then stopped stalling. Flashlight in hand, your thumb went to the button at the bottom.
You clicked it on.
Hushed and under your breath, you said, “One. Two. Three. One… Two… Three… One. Two. Three.”
With each number you flicked the light on and off. Three short bursts of light, three long bursts, and then three short ones again. You prayed you were doing it correctly.
“S. O… S.”
You repeated this five times. Not wanting to test your luck, you stopped after the fifth time. In the abyss of the night, the only indicator where the neighbors home was the porch light on. Your eyes focused on your reflection in the window. Chills had your skin raise and you whipped around to see no one.
Trusting your intuition, you were out of time. On a time crunch, you go back to the table, careful not to let your anxiety cause you to get sloppy. Placing the flashlight where it was before, the draw shut with some resistance. You snarled at the wood to fucking work.
Tears bubbling at the apprehension, it finally closed. Heart in your ears, you raced back to your room, not leaving your crouch. You were able to make it to your door when the sound of someone moving sent you in overdrive.
Not daring to look behind you, you slipped into the crack you left and closed the door gently. A soft creak had your shoulder hunch to your ears, but you didn’t dwell on it.
Crawling to your cage, you shut the door and fumbled behind you. Grabbing the lock with slippery hands, you shoved your fingers in between the bars and made sure the lock’s front faced away from you. Snicking it closed, pounding footsteps lumbered down the stairs.
Erwin’s coming.
Twisting around, you plunged the screwdriver into the teddy bear and shoved it in its place. The footsteps went towards your door. Terrified, you threw your head onto the plushies and cradled it to your chest. Tossing a blanket over you, Erwin quietly opened your door.
Clenching your eyes closed, you prayed he wasn’t as perceptive as Levi. The man didn’t come fully in your room. He stood at the doorway before closing the door again. His footsteps went back down the hall and up the stairs.
Your lungs whistled from how long you trapped oxygen in your alveoli. Despite the terror, you grinned into the stuffed animal you hugged.
You did it. You fucking did it.

“Did you guys see what Noa posted on her Instagram story last night?!” Your best friend, Peri announced, coming to stand before you and your other best friend, Imani. The booming of her voice startled you, making you jump. With her mouth ajar, eyes widened, and eyebrows raised high, you imagined this is the exact face you made when you saw Will Smith slap Chris Rock across the face at the Oscars. How she had so much energy at seven in the morning was beyond you.
Both you and Imani watched as Peri raised her phone, the Instagram story in question already displayed on the screen. Beside you Imani gasped, covering her mouth with both of her hands.
“Omg, yes! So it's true? Theo really cheated on her?”
Peri locked her phone and tucked it away before responding. “I don’t know for sure, but that’s what it seems like. I believe it though, he definitely gives fuckboy vibes. I mean, did you see how touchy he was being with her best friend at the basketball game last week? He’s gross.” Her curls swayed as she shook her head disapprovingly.
Further down the hall, the sight of a familiar boy caught your eye, distracting you from the conversation. You watched as your longtime friend, neighbor, and crush, Jeon Jungkook strutted down the hall. Flashing his peers a pearly white smile as he passed, his dark brown, fluffy bangs bounced with every step.
With your attention now focused on the boy, the voices of your best friends soon faded into unintelligible murmurs. You probably looked just as hypnotized as those cartoon characters mesmerized by the scent of a freshly baked pie sitting on a windowsill.
It always amazed you how he could make your school’s overly bleak uniform look so attractive. There was not a wrinkle or crease on his white collared shirt and black uniform pants. His tie rested against his chest, tied neatly and securely. And, although it was nearing the end of the year, his school shoes looked like he’d just bought them yesterday.
The sight of his smile as he approached his friends all huddled around his locker awaiting his arrival made your heart flutter. He didn’t even need to say anything. All he had to do was walk down the hall and you were already a nervous wreck. He had you wrapped around his finger with not a clue in the world.
With how far away you were standing at your own locker you couldn't hear what he was saying to his friends, but from the way they all laughed it was obviously funny. You didn’t miss the way Ella, held onto his arm, covering his mouth as she chuckled the hardest. She grinned at him, tucking a piece of her long, black hair behind her ear.
Oh, Ella. How could you describe her?
Many of your peers would say she was pretty, smart, and well-liked. But you on the other hand liked to keep it simple. Ella was a bitch
For whatever reason unknown to you, Ella decided she would make your life a living hell. Since the day you all started high school together, bright-eyed and full of excitement, she’s had it out for you. From tripping you up in the halls or cafeteria, making you spill whatever was in your hands all over yourself, to knocking your things off your desk whenever she passed you in class. She’s always found a way to terrorize you.
Now, don’t misunderstand. You didn’t just take the abuse. Sure, the mere thought of confrontation made you queasy and anxious. But you always stood up for yourself, no matter how much your hands shook and your voice trembled.
“Ughh, I feel so sad for her, she doesn’t deserve that at all,” Imani expressed. “Is it bad that I kinda want to ask her about it, though? I mean, I know it’ll be weird because we’re not really friends but we do follow each other on Instagram.” She frowned, fingering the curly ends of her braids before tossing them back over her shoulder.
Peri shrugged. “I think ______, has a class with her.”
“Oh, yeah!” Imani called your name. “Has she said anything to you about it? Did you guys talk?”
You didn’t answer, too busy focused on Jungkook, now conversing with Hoseok and Seokjin. He rolled his eyes, pushing at Seokjin’s shoulder before grinning. He must’ve felt your gaze, turning away from his friends to look directly at you. Focusing his bright eyes on you, he smiled raising a hand to wave at you.
Your breath caught in your throat. It felt like your heart was going to beat out of its chest.
God, you were so whipped for this boy.
You smiled back at him equally as brightly, returning the wave before he thought you were a freak.
Your mood was quickly soured though. From beside him, Ella shot you a nasty glare. You kept eye contact for a few seconds before she rolled her eyes, turning away to whisper something to her friend. They then both turned back towards you, grimaces on their faces.
It took everything in your power to look away. As much as you wanted to show the pair, you disliked them just as much they disliked you, you didn’t have time for the drama. These past few weeks have been nothing short of exhausting. Your schedule was packed with back-to-back exams, homework keeping you up all hours of the night, and several oral presentations coming up in the near future. With so much going on, you simply did not have the mental capacity to entertain Ella and her mean-girl antics.
The sound of fingers snapping instantly removed you from your thoughts. “Earth to ______,” Peri grinned at you knowingly.
Beside you, Imani touched your arm. You turned towards her giving her your full attention. Concern was plastered all over her face. “Are you okay? You looked pretty spaced out there.”
“Oh, she’s more than fine,” Peri declared before you could answer. Bringing her thumb up, she gestured it backward over her left shoulder towards Jungkook and his groups of friends. Snitch. Next to you, Imani snickered, attempting to mask the sound with a hand over her mouth.
Instantly, you felt your face flush. Avoiding their gaze, you opted to twist at the charms on your bracelet.
“Don’t you get enough of him outside of school? You do live right next door to each other. And what about your nightly, romantic stargazing? What is it called again? Moon gathering,” Peri cooed making kissy faces at you.
“Moon meeting,” You corrected, rolling your eyes, listening to both of your best friends snicker.
You were still sour you’ve been missing your Moon Meetings with Jungkook. You hadn’t missed a single one since you both started doing them at the youthful age of six, nearly a decade ago.
You still remembered the day Jungkook came up with the Moon Meeting Idea. Both your moms damn near had a heart attack when they found you and Jungkook, on top of his roof, wrapped in blankets and sharing a tub of chocolate ice cream. Neither of you understood the problem, waving down at your bewildered parents with toothy grins on your faces.
After a stern scolding, and a long talk about safety your parents agreed to let you continue your Moon Meetings as long as they were supervised by your or his mother. It wasn’t until you were ten that your parents stopped supervising your meeting, trusting you to make the right decisions. Of course, they’d still check on you from time to time, bringing you snacks and blankets if the weather saw fit.
“Actually, I haven’t been to a Moon Meeting in the past two weeks, so,” you stated matter-of-factly.
“Oo, snappy.”
“Anyway,” you continued, ignoring Imani’s comment. “I’ve spent the last two weeks hunched over my desk studying for my stupid algebra test.” A sharp pain in your lower stomach made you grimace
Peri hummed, looked at Imani, and then back at you. “Any we don’t stargaze romantically. We talk and eat snacks. And watch movies occasionally."
“Right,” she nodded, drawing out the end of the word. From the look on her face, you could tell she didn’t believe you.
“Whatever,” you leaned away from your locker, readjusting the bag on your shoulder. “It’s 7:26, we have to get to class.”
─────•◦❥•◦─────
Chatter filled the room as the rest of your classmates filed in. Sitting idly at your desk, you watched the fish tank perched atop of the bookshelf. Your classroom pet, a clownfish cleverly named, Nemo swam around aimlessly. He poked and prodded at the colorful rocks at the bottom of the tank, mistaking them for food.
He was the only fish in his tank. Your class used to have another, also cleverly named, Marlin, but they didn’t get along. Marling constantly picked at Nemo. Biting at his fins, stealing his food, and smacking him with his own fins.
Besides your two best friends, you didn’t really talk to anyone else. You took solace in being alone. Too many social interactions rapidly drained your energy. It didn’t matter though, there weren’t too many of your classmates who an effort to get to know you anyway. Courtesy of Ella.
You and Nemo had a lot in common.
None of it bothered you though, you didn’t have anything to prove to anyone. Thus, while your peers conversed with each other, you sat patiently at your desk waiting for your teacher to arrive.
Of course, your least favorite class would be the one to start off your school day, and of course, you’d be taking a test in that very same class today—Algebra 1.
Math has always been a challenge for you. You’d never been the type to get excited about numbers and operations. And once they introduced letters into the formula, you completely checked out. Algebra is just a concept you simply did not understand. All the effort you put into the subject seemed to be pointless, as with each exam you take your score drops lower and lower. Maybe that’s the reason why your stomach has been hurting all morning. Just testing anxiety.
The sound of Jungkook calling your name came from behind you. Subconsciously, you sat up straighter, brushing out the creases in your uniform skirt. With that same bunny smile you loved so much, he rested against the desk next to yours, crossing his ankles.
“Hey, Bugs! I’ve missed you. It feels like we haven't hung out in forever.” Playfully, Jungkook pushed your shoulder, smiling gently at you. “Our Moon Meetings aren’t as fun when it’s just me.”
“Jungkook,” you groaned, pushing his hand away. “I told you not to call me that.” He smiled down at you, letting you continue.
“I’ve missed you too,” you confessed, before licking your lips. Suddenly, your mouth felt as dry as the Sahara Desert. With your eyes downcast, you missed the way Jungkook’s eyes intently followed the movement.
“My test scores in this class haven’t been the best so, my mom has been making me spend nearly all of my extra free time studying.”
Besides this class, and occasionally passing each other in the halls, your Moon Meetings are the only real time you have together. With Jungkook’s packed soccer schedule and you working four days a week and maybe more at your part-time job, there was really no extra time to spend together.
“Damn Bugs, that sucks. You know I have a B in this class, I can help you study.” You could hear the pride in his voice.
You popped your head up, staring at him with widened eyes. “You have a B in algebra?”
“Yeah!” Noticing your shocked expression he continued. “What I can’t be good at math or something,” he pouted, lower lip jutted out.
Your eyes widened. “No! I just meant-”
“Well that’s rude, ______,” Ella interrupted, standing next to Jungkook. “Our Jungkookie is very smart. And, apparently, he’s better at math than you.”
Taken aback, you stared at her in disbelief. Where the fuck did she even come from? You swear she was like a constant dark cloud looming over you just waiting to ruin your day. Just as you were about to open your mouth to respond, Jungkook spoke up before you could reply.
“C’mon Ella, that’s not necessary. ______ and I joke around with each other like that all the time. She obviously meant no harm.”
“This conversation has nothing to do with you anyway,” you defended yourself, returning the rotten scowl she was sending you.
Ella arched her manicured eyebrow. “Hmpt,” she shrugged, sending a smirk your way before strutting over to her desk. Gosh, you couldn’t stand her.
Jungkook sighed. “I don’t know what her problem is.” He shook his head, wiping his palms down the front of his pants.
“I don't see how you’re even friends with her. I mean, you two are nothing alike.” You don’t mean to sound so possessive but it’s true. Jungkook and Ella were the complete opposites. Jungkook was good Ella was evil. Jungkook was an angel, Ella was the devil, simple.
The look on his face turned sheepish. You watched quietly as Jungkook scratched the back of his neck before answering. “I don’t know about friends. She’s more like a pain in my neck. All she does is follow the guys and me around all day. It’s actually pretty annoying.” You hummed, pursing your lips.
“Good morning, everyone,” the firm voice of your algebra teacher, Mrs. Lee, rang out in the room. Her blunt-cut bob swayed with every movement as she strode across the front of her classroom toward her desk. Authority radiated from your teacher as she silently stood at her desk waiting for her class to settle down. Around you, your peers quieted down scurrying to their assigned seats.
“Good luck!” Jungkook shoot you two thumbs up. “I know you’ll do good!” With that he made his way to his own desk, waiting for further instructions.
One by one, Mrs. Lee called you all up to put away your phones and assign you a calculator and a formula sheet. The pain in the lower part of your stomach grew stronger. You were really nervous about this test.
After Mrs. Lee passed out the final test paper, she stood behind the podium. “Did everyone receive a test paper?” A chorus of yeses was heard. Mrs. Lee smiled.
“Good. As per usual, there is absolutely no talking, assisting others, or usage of any device besides your calculator during this test.  If you are caught breaking any of these rules your test will be terminated and will result in an automatic zero. Please refer to your formula sheet, guys,” Mrs Lee sighed. “I’ve provided you with one for a reason. And take your time, there’s no need to rush, you have the whole class period to finish. Good luck, don’t let what you’ve learned be in vain.”
Mrs. Lee glanced down at her expensive-looking wristwatch. Anxiety filled you as you awaited her next words. "You may start.”
At Mrs. Lee’s confirmation, you and all of your classmates flipped open your packets and began your test.
Here goes nothing.
─────•◦❥•◦─────
It had been forty-five minutes since you started your test and you were in excruciating pain. This was definitely not testing anxiety. Your stomach has never hurt this bad before, and you were dreading the possible reason it could be. Please don’t let this be what I think it is. Please, please, please.
Readjusting your legs into a more comfortable position in hopes to relieve some pain, you felt your worst nightmare come true. A gush of thick liquid rushed out of your nether region. Immediately your eyes widened. Oh shit! No, no, no, no, no, no!
Panicked, you felt your hands shaking as you hurried to finish the question you were on. There were at least ten left, but there was no way you could bear the pain or the messy feeling of your blood-soaked panties any longer. Tears had already begun to prickle your eyes. Gosh, why today?! Why this class?! Why me?!
Wiping your eyes before a stray tear could fall you, stood up from your seat. Squeezing your thighs together, you walked as stiffly as you could to avoid any further damage. Your desk was only a few feet away but felt like it took forever to reach Mrs. Lee. Silently, her hawk–like gaze remained on you the entire time, her eyebrows pinched in question.
Your test papers wobbled lightly as you placed the packet on her podium. You cleared your throat before you spoke. “M-may I go to the restroom, please? It’s an emergency.”
“Now? Why didn’t you go before-”
“Mrs. Lee,” you interrupted her scolding. “I thi- I started my period. My stomach hurts really, really bad and I don’t have any um sanitary supplies.”
A look of realization crossed Mrs. Lee’s face as she registered your words. “Oh honey, I’m so sorry!” She kept her voice low, ensuring you were the only one who could hear her. “I’ll write you a pass to the nurse.” She rushed to her desk leaving you to stand alone.
Her words were like a trigger, causing the lump in your throat to grow thicker. You swallowed, trying to ease the discomfort. It felt like your nose was full of cotton as you sniffled between breaths. You could feel yourself continually leaking into your underwear. Please hurry up, Mrs. Lee.
“Ew! What the hell!”
It felt like time had stopped. You didn’t dare turn around, already knowing who the voice came from
“Ella!” Mrs. Lee snapped finally finishing her signature at the bottom of the pass, giving the girl a stern look.
“Seriously, ______. Are you just going to stand there and bleed all over the place? Go get a tampon!”
Your breath hitched at her words. There was no doubt everyone’s attention was now on you. You could nearly feel the stares of your classmates pierce your back. Your body was hot all over with embarrassment. You couldn’t move, instead, you stood frozen in shock.
Someone snorted behind you. This time a more profound voice was heard.
“Gross, she even got it in the seat!”
Roars of laughter filled the once silent classroom. The pounding in your ears muffled the sounds around you, virtually drowning out the mocking laughter and Mrs. Lee’s panicked voice demanding them to stop.
 Oh, fuck this.
Solely focused on your escape, you missed the concerned voice of Jungkook calling out to you. You swung the door open, rushing out of the classroom.
The harsh sounds of your breathing echoed throughout the empty halls. Tripping over your feet with how fast you were walking, you shoved the door to the girl’s bathroom open, barreling into the first empty stall in sight. It wasn’t until you were secured behind the locked door, slumped against the defaced wall, that you finally let yourself break down.
Your body shook with the force of your cries. Snatching the toilet paper from the dispenser, you struggled to wipe away your tears with how fast they were falling. Your nose was completely stuffy now, ensuring the only way for you to breathe was through ragged open-mouthed pants
Of course, this would be the experience of your first menstrual cycle. Of freaking course. This was all Ella’s fault. There wasn’t a violent bone in your body, but you wanted to punch her right in the throat.
The sound of the bathroom door creaking open interrupted your panicked thoughts. Swallowing, you pressed your lips together, trying your hardest to suppress the harsh sounds escaping your mouth. Sure, your entire class has seen you covered in your own period blood, but you didn’t want to add to the embarrassment by having someone know you were crying in a bathroom stall. How lame.
Wiping your eyes, you flinched at the roughness of the toilet paper tugging at the skin underneath your eyes. You clutched the wad of used tissue in your hand.
Confused, you stared at the stall door as if you could see through the solid. You know there was someone else in there with you, but you didn’t hear any movements. It wasn’t until you looked down that you noticed the pair of shoes right outside of the stall you were in.
A knock sounded on the door, followed by a gentle voice calling out to you. “Bugs?”
“Ju-Jungkook,” you croaked eyebrows furrowed. What the hell was he doing in the girl’s bathroom? Through the crack between the door and the wall of the stall, you could see the boy standing on the other side. A calmness was radiating from him.
“Could you open the door? I have something for you.” When you made no movements he spoke again.
“Please?”
You wiped your face again before smoothing your shirt and readjusting your skirt, despite all that's happened, still wanting to present your best self to him You hoped your eyes weren’t as puffy and red as they felt.
Slowly, you twisted the metal lock, opening the door for Jungkook. You kept your eyes cast down, staring at a scuff mark next to his foot.
“Here.” A black uniform skirt, pair of black cotton panties, a sanitary pad, and a travel-size pack of baby wipes obstructed your view of the dusty bathroom floor. Once again, you stood frozen staring at the items in his hands. When you didn’t immediately take them from him he spoke again.
“I got them from the nurse. She assured they'd never been warned. I didn’t know your size, so I just guessed.” Carefully you took the items from his hands. Hoping your face remained neutral when your fingers brushed over his, you secured the items in your arms. You swear a shock ran through you. Jungkook was truly an angel sent from above.
You cleared your throat before you spoke. “Thank you, Jungkook.” The expression came out hoarse and dry. Ignoring the roughness of your voice, he smiled and nodded. “I’ll be out there,” he reassured, pointing a thumb towards the bathroom door.
You cleaned yourself the best you could with the few baby wipes you had. The panties you wore, which were your favorite pair from Victoria’s Secret PINK might you add, were completely ruined. You wrapped them up with the bathroom’s flimsy paper towels. It stung a little when you had to throw them away in the trashcan.
You stuffed your soiled, khaki uniform skirt in the trashcan as well. It sported a large blood stain where your butt would be. You knew your mom wouldn’t mind though. You had more uniforms skirts than you could count.
Standing at one of the three bathroom sinks, you washed your hands clean of any remnants from your accident. You avoided looking at yourself in the mirror. You were feeling incredibly self-conscious and had no intentions of making it worse with the sight of your swollen eyes and stuffy nose. Rather, you wet a few paper towels, and dabbed lightly at your face, focusing on the tender skin around your eyes and nose. You felt a whole lot better, though the cramping in your stomach was still incredibly painful.
True to his word, Jungkook stood outside of the girl’s bathroom waiting for you to come out. He wore a look of concern as he watched you stand before him.
“The skirt looks good. Like it fits goods.” Choosing not to think too hard about his choice of words you nodded, looking down at the skirt in question. Jungkook didn’t do too badly with the sizing. It was a little snug, but it would do until you went home.
It was silent for the next few seconds, neither of you not really knowing what to say in the next moment. Wordlessly, Jungkook opened his arms, asking for a hug. You could melt with how adorable he looked.
Without a second thought, you fell into his embrace. Like magic, the worries and the stress from the day began to melt away. There was a strong sense of security that emerged from being wrapped in Jungkook’s arms.
“Are you okay, Bugs,” Jungkook whispered, his cheek resting atop your head. Slowly, he rocked you both from side to side. Tears began to prickle in your eyes again. You were okay now that you’ve cleaned up and somewhat composed yourself. But what about later? What about when you go online and see everyone talking about what happened? What about tomorrow and then the next day and then the next, until something juicer happens for everyone to talk about? Sure you were okay now, but you don’t know about later.
Jeez, these hormones were really getting to you.
Rather than burdening him with your troubles, you kept your answer short and simple. “Mhmm,” you nodded, your words muffled from pressing your face against his chest. “Just a little embarrassed.”
“Hey,” Jungkook pulled away, forcing you to look up at him. “There’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Periods are completely natural.” You groaned covering your face with both you’re hands. “You sound like my mom.”
“It's true!” He giggled as pried your hands away. “Seriously though, you shouldn’t be embarrassed. But I know that’s easier said than done.” You nodded, listening to his words. “Everyone in there who laughed at you are a bunch of immature, idiots with worms for brains. And if they say any slick shit to you, I’ll beat them up, okay?”
“Okay,” you giggled, bumping your fist against his outstretched one.
“Good,” he smiled, that same bunny smile you loved so much. “Come on,” he declared taking your hand, leading you down the hall when you intertwined your finger with his. “I texted your mom and let her know what happened. So, she should be almost now. Oh! And I left your bag and your phone with the lady in the front office. There’s also some pain reliever up there for you.” You felt yourself grin at his words. He was such a sweetheart.
“Thank you, Jungkook, for everything. I really don’t know what I would’ve done without you.”
He bumped his shoulder with yours. “Of course, Bugs. You know I got you. But you do have to promise me something.”
“What?”
“Moon Meeting tonight? If you aren’t in too much pain.” Smiling down at you, he awaited your response. Sighing in mock annoyance, you playfully rolled your eyes. “Yes, Jungkook.”
“You promise?”
“I promise.”

If you've watched the LoZ Cartoon, you'll know after "Well EXCUSE ME, Princess" Link's second favorite phrase is a very faux-sappy "Kiss me" which is, never, ever, followed through with. SO, here's everyone's (generalized) response to that phrase, should it get directed at them.

Been watching the new Superman cartoon, and I’m convinced that these guys have seen Miraculous Ladybug and were like “No, no, we’re not doing that. We’re speedrunning this shit. We won’t make this take 5+ seasons, we’re just going to get it all out of the way right now.”
Also kudos to My Adventures With Superman for having the balls to pull a The Batman (2004) and just... reinvent villains in controversial ways. I know not everyone is on board with these changes, but anime pretty boy Slade Wilson with the voice of Jerry Smith is borderline Monkey Joker levels of boldness and I kinda respect it.

Saturday Morning Cartoons
Imma gonna tag the biggest Michael Myers simp I know, @brandnewhuman. Gender neutral reader~ And can be read as OG!Myers or RZ!Myers
Tumblr media
It should have been strange to see the grown man sitting on your couch.
Sitting with a bowl of some overly-sugary, chocolate cereal in his lap. Some old cartoon he found on your TV. You stood in the doorway of the kitchen, leaning on doorframe. You took sip of your coffee, grimacing as the scalding hot liquid burned your mouth.
The Shape of Haddonfield sat on your couch in a pair of Scooby-Doo (those were his favorite) sweat pants. Michael Myers, a man some called a monster.
But you weren't scared.
This was just a normal Saturday morning.
Michael loved days like this, although he'd never tell you that. You didn’t have to go to work, the loud neighbor next door -
(Michael had offered wordlessly many times to kill him, but you never took him up on that offer.)
Your neighbor did have work on Saturdays. All day, nonetheless. It was quiet and for once, Michael Myers could feel normal. Like those couples he'd seen in the cheesy romance movies his mom would watch.
He spared a glance at you as you sat down next to him, a giant smile on your face. If he was honest, he never understood what you saw in him. He knew you could have a 'normal' life with someone else. Someone who doesn't have this compulsion to kill.
Someone who wasn't a monster.
But he never felt that ache with you. He never wanted to see your blood drip from his knife. Never wanted to see the blade sink into your skin. Never wanted to see the life drain from your eyes.
In fact, and again he would never admit it, but even a minor paper cut on your skin filled him with guilt. Like it was his fault your beautiful skin was marred. It hurt him mentally, physically and emotionally.
He knew deep down that his mere presence put in danger.
And like always, you somehow read his mind. You casted your eyes towards his unmasked face "Good morning handsome! I see you found the cereal I bought you! I didn't know if youwanted fruity or chocolate. Hope I guessed right. "
Michael nodded, lifting the spoon. He looked down at the food, then slowly lifted it to your mouth. You laughed, leaning in and wrapping your lips around the spoon. Covering your mouth while you chewed, Michael looked you over.
He was never one to feel attraction. The people he killed while they were intimate, it revolted him usually. Sure, once or twice he'd feel a stirring in his lower body . But he never acted on it and he definitely didn't feel as strongly about it as he did with you.
Other patients at Smiths Grove were lewd. He'd hear stories about their conquests and crimes. What they found attractive and what they didn't.
Things like that never crossed his mind until you.
Even then, it was different from what the other patients would say. Not that he didn't find you physically attractive.
(He had a soft spot for your ass)
But his daydreams and fantasies were always...domestic. Cooking breakfast together. Going for walks in the evenings. Cuddling on the couch, binge watching whatever show you bribed him into watching.
He would think about maybe getting a cat, he always liked cats. Maybe kids down the road? Maybe a house with a white picket fence.
As Michael sat there in thought, you looked over your man.
You loved him. Against your first initial better judgment.
Y/N Myers
That had a really nice ring to it.
Michael Y/L/N
That'd be the safer route.
You could see the far away look in his eyes. Like his mind was somewhere else completely. But he didn't look troubled. Not in the slightest. Instead, there was a contentment written on his face.
You reached up and tucked a piece of his hair behind his ear "I'll never understood how the hell your hair is so soft. Like I've legit seen you use 3-in-1 shampoo. And take a kitchen knife to your hair. "
You pulled yourself closer to him, nestling your body next to him "I just think it's unfair, you know? Like, bitch, you're so low effort high reward. "
Michael nodded again, placing the bowl on the coffee table. He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his lap, cherishing your giggles. You laid your head against his chest, listening to his heartbeat.
Michael placed a soft kiss to the top of your head, mumbling something under his breath.
You blushed, smiling to yourself. You nuzzled into his neck, placing a kiss to the underside of his jaw.
It almo sounded like he said "I love you..."
