bonking my head to finish that ask blog story update but rn my mind has a changeling infestation apparently bc all i wanna do is make concepts for the changelings specifically in my future au

Which era Pretty Cure exactly? Like are the Ryuseitai part of Suite Cure? Or are they their own new generation? And since they are a five man cell do they have dark counterparts like Precure 5 and the other generations around that time? I feel like I have a lot more questions but I should probably check your tag first lol

theyre their own generation! with precure i generally cant imagine crossovers lol so yeah. and hmmm i havent thought that far into villains and stuff but definitely could happen i think ... dark counterparts were p common with five huh help smilepre ...

on the part of what i have thought abt for villains thooo theyre associated with the shinkai cult ! kanata grants wishes and hes aware of the negative effects of it (to an extent) but hes not fully aware of the. "our business partners go out and create magical monsters that drain dreams from people within a certain area. and also we are getting our asses kicked by four high school boys"

I was thinking about "what is 'normal' for the precure franchise" so I made this chart. it's not very accurate but it gives a rough idea of when new cures appear in different series

suite has the longest wait for the official transformation of the final member (michiru and kaoru, henri, and cure oasis all transform later but are more like "extra heroes")

happiness charge is unique in that three of the main characters appear transformed in the first episode but iona doesn't formally join the team until later

the main team debut episodes happening all in a row (fresh, smile) is actually rarer than teams where there's at least one episode that breaks the chain by not introducing a new girl's precure form

if delipre and hiropre are evidence of a new trend then debuts will continue to be spaced widely apart

the yellow cure appears before the blue in yespre, smilepre, kirapre, tropre, and delipre. she appears after the blue in freshpre, heartcatch, dokipre, hachapre, gopre, hugpre, healpre, and delipre

hugpre is the only time two new cures appear in the same episode and it is not the first episode of the show

"sixth cure" debuts shifted noticeably from episode 22 or 23 to episode 20 and then again to before the 20th episode

tried to edit an alternate logo for everyone's least favourite English magical girl dub, but using some design elements from the original Japanese logo (context: I got a friend into SmilePre because it has a dub)

the rainbow from the SmilePre logo helps balance out the 'Glitter' for me, but now the 'Force' is off-center lol
