Understanding the background of STRESS.. Stress is a very common problem in almost every person's life whether he is a teen struggling with studies or trying to cope with daily life issues at school/college or an adult facing stress due to work. There are three main types of stress that may occur in our everyday lives: such as acute, acute episodic and chronic stress at persistent events.. Many of us may have experienced a mix of these three types. Our bodies reacts to various types of stress with the similar method, which occurs regardless if the stress arises from a real or perceived event. Hormones are released which starts several actions within few seconds: pumping our blood and oxygen quickly to the body cells, increasing the heart rate and mental alertness. A very small part of the brain we call it hypothalamus, makes the reaction and communicates with the body through the automomic nervous system which signals our nerves and the hormones, located on the top of each kidney, to release a hormone called adrenaline in the blood. Adrenaline increasing the heart rate blood pressure so more blood circulates to the muscles and heart to support a boost of energy.. With acute stress, the event is brief and hormone levels will gradually return to normal. Acute episodic and chronic stress repeatedly trigger the fight-or-flight response causing a persistent elevation of hormones. It provides the extra energy needed to cope with stressful events. Research shows that there are some foods such as omega-3 fats and vegetables that may help to regulate cortisol levels. Acne is a skin condition that occurs when it accumulates oils or dead skin cells.. There are many types of acne, but the most common form occurs during childhood when young adults experience a dramatic increase in hormone levels. These hormones signal the skin glands to produce more oil. When this oil mixes with dead cells, it can clog pores in the skin and trap bacteria as well. The result is often an increased tissue area characterised by swelling, redness, and pus. These bumps are also known as pimples, the symptom most commonly associated with acne.. Acne can occur anywhere on the face, neck, back, or chest, and severe cases can lead to social alienation and physical scars.  Gently Cleanse Your Skin regularly then gently wash your skin with lukewarm water. Avoid scrubbing your face too hard or washing it too often. Also avoid using skin and hair care products that contain excess oil. Instead, use water-based skin care soaps that gently cleanse your skin, such as Neutrogena or Dove. Apply Topical Ointments: At least once daily, but no more than three times a day, apply a non-prescription topical ointment to problematic areas. One of the best products is Clearasil because it contains both benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid.  Avoid the Following: Make sure to avoid the following acts which can trigger acne flare-ups: overexposure to the sun, the wearing of tight-fitting items that rub against the skin, excess stress, constant touching of the face, working with oils or harsh chemicals, excessive sweating, hair hanging in your face, or the use of hair care products that contain oils. We tend to use our thigh muscles for everything- walking, jogging, running, etc. However, somehow, we don’t even know the name of the muscles that we use every single day. These quadriceps femoris muscles are the largest, strongest and fleshiest muscles in our body. They are found in the front and sides of the femur. They constitute vastus medialis, vastus lateralis , vastus intermedius, and rectus femoris.. Very little attention has been given to these quadriceps muscles in proportion to their wide variety of work.  We will be learning about the structure of quadriceps muscles.. The quadriceps muscles consist of the following four muscles. These muscles help a person to perform daily tasks, which are taken for granted by humans, like sitting, standing, running, jogging, cycling etc. They also help in flexing and extending the lower leg from the knee. The rectus femoris muscle helps in flexing the hip as it is attached to the ilium.  The vastus medialis stabilises the kneecap.  Needs of strengthening quadriceps muscles: As we have seen, these muscles allow us to conduct many fundamental activities in a person’s life. However, these muscles are prone to tear, injury or rupture. This can make our day-to-day activities seem like a hassle. Some of the common injuries that affect a Quadriceps- Cramps, Tendonitis, Muscle strain or Pull  Some of the strengthening exercises Reverse lunges: -backwards with your right leg and try to touch your right knee to the ground.
