Hi hey hello omg someone's actually asking about this au---

I'm panicking for no reason but also I'm so excited and so happy to share!!!

So, tbh, there's no need for Knight!Luigi and Mario to "meet", and by that I mean--- Luigi and Mario were never seperated and they already know eachother.

Luigi's whole deal, and the reason he was able to become a knight in the first place, is that he kinda... just sorta moved out.

Let me explain: He in this au, Luigi of course loves Mario dearly, that's his twin brother, his main man, his bestfriend, his homeslice breadslice dog. However, after retrieving some subpar treatment, he decided to seperate from Mario, and go his own little journey of self discovery. He's never been apart from Mario. And though he's scared, he's terrified even, he wants to know who he's capable of being on his own. So he leaves to go journey, Mario of course wishes him good luck, but is SO fucking nervous something bad will happen to him and encourages him to write him.

(More Backstory under cut cause this post is looooong)

Most of his journey is fine, and well and good, until he gets dundundunnn caught by Bowser. (For the purposes of this au, let's imagine that Kamek freed and unshrunken him post Mario Movie)--- So, he catches Luigi to get revenge, but at this point he's developed a bit more of a backbone and some serious skills to defend himself, so he almost escapes the castle, but is stopped by Bowser himself, who--- in a twist of fate is impressed by his skill.

Basically the interaction that follows goes "Ayo I'll let you live if you work for me" "I'm still very terrified of you so bet" (ofc he's plotting to return the whole while, but needs to find a time when it's safe)

So now mans lives in the castle with Bowser, and he gets training to really hone his skills--- they gradually get used to eachother, and since this is a Bowuigi centric au, yall already know the deal fr.

SORRY I got SO incredibly sidetracked, but since I already wrote all this I ain't deleting it--- to get to the core of the question---

If Mario were to ever meet Luigi in his knight formmmm hmmm.

If he were to meet while Luigi was doing some on duty shit with Bowser watching, he'd have to resort to going completely nonverbal to avoid being recognized--- in my very first post about Knight!Luigi he can avoid being recognized as his usual self by switching from an italian accent to a brooklyn one, but--- seeing as Mario knows his brother, and knows his voice, he'd recognize either one. This would probably give off an impression of a really intimidating, serious and skilled Knight to the opposition, when really Weggy just tryna to avoid being recognized---

If they just happened to cross paths with no eyes on them, Luigi would shed the mask SO fucking quick and give him a hug. Though, since Luigi has risen through the ranks and became very known as someone to be feared in his persona, this would leave Mario both very relieved, and VERY confused.

OH wait

One more thing.

In this au, Luigi's Knight persona is just known as "Knight Guy"

everyone assumes he's a really weird shy guy and no one bats a fucking eye FOEJROFEJROJ

TL;DR: They'd most likely meet in a battlefield. If on duty, they just sorta,,, duke it out (Luigi will refuse to hurt Mario though) If off duty, hug time.

Inktober 2023 Day 25 to 31

. it's the last day & my green pen gave up on me 💀 so fck it, i used crayons to color the rest of these

. been meaning to fully draw Pyromaniac Mario from my idea dump, so here he is 🔥 the thought came from how Mario Movie mushrooms are eaten but every other power up are absorbed by touch, i was like why not eat the fckin fire flower lmao

and i just have a thing for villains so he evil 😈

Based on this angsty concept created by @wiz-witch, @multicolour-ink and I, I sketched how I picture the Mario Bros. from this AU.

They're both in their early fourties, and both have changed a lot since they got separated. They're both a shadow of what they once were.

Luigi became the hero and protector of the Mushroom Kingdom. He's now known as the Monarch Conqueror, since he's defeated every evil royal who had threatened the world. After losing all hope of seeing Mario again, Luigi has become hardened and emotionless, making him a tough opponent to anyone who dares fighting him. Due to his now lack of emotion, he developed a questionable way of fighting, in which he'll do anything to get rid of the enemy at any cost (like how he could've brutally defeated Bowser). Due to this, he's both feared and respected in every corner of the world. He's never been on a romantic relationship due to his separation anxiety and his fear of his loved ones being taken away from him, that's why he always goes on solo missions.

Then, we have Mario, now a man beaten down by grief. He never actually recovered after losing Luigi, and had to live with the guilt ever since. After what happened, his relationship with his father got worse, since he blamed Mario for having lost Luigi. He moved alone after that and continued running the Super Mario Bros. Plumbing bussiness, although with lower success due to Luigi's absense. Thinking about Luigi distracts his mind from what he's doing, making him mess up a lot of jobs. He has neglected himself to the point of looking 10 years older than he is, is now too rusty to do parkour as he used to, and has lost respect from most of the people. The only person who still has faith in him, is his mother, who hasn't given up hope that someday, they'll find Luigi and be a whole family again. This is the only reason Mario keeps going, because he won't give up on the idea of finding a way to get to Luigi.

Although both of the brothers have become very different, at the moment they finally reunite, they'll both break down on the spot and hug each other like they've never hugged anyone in their lives 💚❤️

Super Mario Brother - God Of War Au

I've been working on this for a bit, I can't stop thinking about the Brok & Sindri scene but with Mario & Luigi instead, so here it is! lol. Maria Sisters AU Character Names

I think it's time I share the characters of the AU. As Mario canon is fairly huge with the number of characters, I decided to share the names of the important characters that would play a big part in this AU, as well as characters that would show up once in a while. I'm gonna also give a description of why I chose those names as the alternates.

Maria - This was so basic, Mario to Maria. Maria also means famous or beloved so it seems very fitting for being the main character.

Lucia - People would think I would choose Lousie or something like that but Lucia is a pure Italian name meaning Light. The name is a huge metaphor for her relationship with Maria

Bowsetta - Her name was originally Bowsette but I changed it to separate her from the meme, and keep a little motif in the character naming

Bowsetta Jr. - Same name as mom, just slap jr behind it. Easy

Prince Peach "Perseus" - Peach's name is Perseus but everyone nicknames him Peach for the choice of color he wears. Perseus was a Greek hero saving a princess and I thought it was ironic for Peach to have the name

Prince Daisy "Damian" - Like Peach, Daisy is given the nickname Daisy. However, he hates his original name so he nicknames himself. Damian names "to conquer" or "tame" as he rules an empire.

Roland - Rosalina's counterpart, meaning famous land. Roland is very associated with kings and I think it fits him

Yoshi - I noticed Yoshi is kinda a gender-neutral name, with both girls and boys having it. I also couldn't find an alternate name for her

Birdo - Same as Yoshi, gender neutral and I couldn't find an alternative

Waria - Like Wario, just change the letters

Walucia- Like Waluigi, just slap Wa in front of the name

Bianca Kong - Even though Bianca means white or pure, I personally always associate Bianca as a strong name.

Bitsy Kong - As Diddy is slang for small, Bitsy also means small or tiny. I also want to keep the B name running for the Kongs in this universe

These are all the names I have chosen for these characters. Any feedback on them would be great. Some could change but I'm pretty happy with these names.

Mario and Luigi as the Creativitwins?

This is probable really niche but I do not care.

Since the amount of bowuigi fanfiction has been slowing down on Ao3 :( I've gone back to reading fanfics for Sanders sides. Which got me thinking about my favorite trash child, Remus, and of course his Twin Roman. Not in an au sort of fashion per se where it follows the plot of SS. Although now as I type I am getting something for that too (Might post it later). I'm mainly referring to the twins origins in the split and their being a Dark and a Light side of the world, for now.

So here's what I've got so far

Mario and Luigi where once a single child, brought to their parents by the storks just after being blessed with the powers of creation like most of the royal kingdoms children were. However their parents were obessesed with perfection and goodness and through a device and experimentation Manage to successfully separate the "Bad" traits (anxiety, nervousness, self doubt) and the "bad" parts of the child's creative powers from the child itself. Leaving them with a mostly whole child that they call Mario and the left over pieces they removed and have discarded into to the forest nearby beyond the boarder to the Dark side of the world.

These "left over's" are discovered by King Boo who painstakingly pieces them together and fills in the gaps with his own magic and the magic from his citizens over a series of months while being chased around by the Light. The result is little Luigi, a three quarter boo child made almost entirely by magic and emotion.

Raised separately, they have very different background and personality's but are forced together in young adulthood whenever the powers of Creation draws them alongside Daisy and Peach to teach them the skills they need as rulers.

Bowser and Luigi are childhood friends turned very happily betrothed in this specific version I've detailed though I do have versions where they meet one another at this school

Bowser is Janus because snake man. Peach is Logan because she's calm and collected. Daisy is Patton because she's up beat and morally headstrong. Mario is Roman obviously. And Luigi is a combo of Virgil and Remus.

And yeah, they both would catch up once they reunite, although Luigi would be a lot more reservated on revealing some details of everything he's been through, due to some questionable things he did in the past.

Mario would be eager to get back in the saddle, but he's rusty and out of shape now, so Luigi and Peach will have to train him again. Luigi would teach his big bro everything he has learned these past years about fighting, including new Power-Ups and his Thunderhand (Mario would eventually get the Firehand).

But there's one obstacle the twins will have to face, and that's the fact that they've been apart for too long that Luigi has forgotten how to work as a team, so it'll up to Mario to teach him again how to do it, and Mario would also learn that Luigi doesn't need to be protected all the time and that he can handle himself pretty well. They'll learn from each other until they become the Super Mario Bros. again ❤️💚✨

Rambling about the titanic AU I mentioned because it must be made

Firstly I honestly can’t decide if I want the non-human characters (Bowser, Toads, etc.) to be human for the sake of this AU. I’d at least make them half-human so they still give off the same vibes of their original character while looking less cartoon-y in a tragic story like this. Also the ship they are traveling on will not be called Titanic (I don’t think I need to explain why) but I can’t think of any other names, so if anyone has any ideas please share!

Obviously for the character counterparts Peach takes the role of Rose, Mario takes the role of Jack, and Bowser is the role of Cal. Everyone else is not subjected to a specific character but will fill a certain role in some way (aka Luigi filling in for Jack’s friend and Toadsworth filling in for Rose’s mother).

Peach and Bowser are not monarchs, but rather aristocrats, arranged to be married for monetary reasons and are traveling to the ceremony. Alongside them are Toadsworth—Peach’s father figure, Kamek—Bowser’s henchman, and some toad and koopa servants, Toadette being Peach’s handmaid. Mario and Luigi are still plumbers, who are always traveling from one place to the next, and one day win tickets to a grand voyage in a poker game.

The plot goes relatively the same; Peach is dreading her inevitable loveless marriage, she meets Mario who saves her life, they get to know each other and eventually fall in love, but are met with a tragic fate when the ship hits an iceberg, etc. However I refuse to believe that on a sinking ship Mario wouldn’t focus on saving his little brother, so during that portion of the story he is desperately trying to help Peach and Luigi survive even if it means risking his own life. Yes, this is still a love story, but the man can have multiple priorities okay?
