CW: (for the near middle, slight blood & pain)

we startin' with a Riley post (also the neos~), as soon as I refine Sol and Ami's they're coming up too. I based them on a Caribbean Reef Squid, I know they don't exactly resemble one, but I wanted to try something neat (at least to me ^^'):

Introducing the Neo bunch: Zeke (22), V (19), DU.SE.SA(..?)!

How they met was basically V finding a sight for roommates in the Splatlands and she got interviewed yadda yadda,, they bond more together when V wanted to apply to their new job because Zeke got wrapped up in it and he couldn't find a way out of Alterna. Both learned something out of it, V wasn't exactly weapon savvy and Zeke being able to help her made quite the difference. Of course if they slipped up on something in their agent training, Riley would come for assistance. Zeke likes a challenge tho

Zeke is based on a coconut octopus and V is based on a European Squid.

Small yet big fact:

Zeke is a pro anarchy player and his main weapon are the tetra dulies!

V was raised by DU.SE.SA but also around salmonid culture.

a really obscure piece of lore* since its really only mentioned in the octo expansion artbook that never got officially translated is that salmonids dont have names the same way other beings in the splatoon world do. they are often just called [title] of [clan name] (ex: Valiant Green Flame Born of Trout Hell Canyon is the name of the drummer in omega-3) extrapolating from that one could assume that when a salmonid becomes lost from their clan they also lose their names (if they uh dont starve as implied by the 8th scroll in splat3) and that naming ur lil buddy is probably something deeply important to them 🥺

Probably the 'default' would be something like Lil Buddy to the New Squidbeak Splatoon
