after finishing a gift for my friend (who i did an anon analysis for, and you can receive an anon analysis from @paimonial-rage), i thought it'll be cool to try a different approach.

in this event, you are to send me a description of your personality and one dynamic (see under the cut). i will give you a genshin character that fits the dynamic with you, and if inspired, might propose some tropes. please read more under the cut for terms and formatting of your ask.

i am opening 3 slots, preferably 1 per dynamic. this is because i do not want to overwhelm myself as this is quite new. more slots may open in the future!

slo's hot takes | dynamics

was talking with a friend a few days back and we talked about how we lean towards certain dynamics for certain characters. i couldn't really give an answer at the time of conversation but the more i thought about it, the more i realised i liked to explore these broad dynamics, and i do lean towards certain dynamics for certain characters.

complementary opposites (you lack something i have; i lack something you have)

surface opposites (we are opposites on the surface but upon learning more about the other the cause of our difference stems from the same issue)

characters i lean towards dynamic 1 are... thoma, chongyun, gorou, cyno, itto, lyney, venti.

characters i lean towards dynamic 2 are... freminet, heizou, kaeya, kaveh, xingqiu, xiao, wanderer.

characters i lean towards dynamic 3 are... albedo, bennett, tighnari (to some degree), razor, alhaitham.

writing reader breaking down (writing break downs in general) is always a little weird *scratches head*

#slocrastinating #not to brag but i don’t really break down as in. crying screaming combination a lot #so i’m not really sure if the build up + the actual break down scene makes sense #i’m going off based on what i think a breakdown should feel and look like #but my primary concern is pacing. or the flow. like did it flow well? do readers feel the breakdown? #i wld like to get some feedback on that. was it realistic? was it something they can understand? #does it feel like an actual break down? #man. having feedback wld help a lot since my stories r more exploratory in nature #so i actually dk. how to feel abt my stories i’m just shooting shots hoping it lands #except my target is behind a thick wall my arrow can pierce through so it’s like #i can’t see where the arrow lands; if it even makes it to the target #oh well #q ed

u know, the title requests i got are supposed to help me generate new ideas, but they are so nice as titles for some of my wips....

#slocrastinating #looking at the kokome request.... every little piece...... #i had this wip where reader stumbles on her 'secret place' but plot twist! reader is a heavily injured enemy #so kokome has to make a decision: does she save her enemy or does she leave reader to die? #and... like.... every little piece is so fitting because it's the small things yk #the small things make up the bigger picture at the end of the day #another one is xeao's req. #i had this wip (3 years btw) of neighbours?? fake dating?? #and it sort of was inspired by the lockdowns etc during 2019 #and it's like... everyone stays at home so sometimes neighbours are very noisy? especially if their family is big? #so reader is from a very nice wholesome family and they laugh a lot #like even till 12am kind of stuff. they also shout a lot but they are still one family unit #and xeao hears all of it unwillingly and feels a little jelly #he also bumps into one of the family members and was treated so nicely he kind of wants to fake date someone just to 'enter' the house LMAO #DOES IT MAKE SENSE #IRONICALLY i actually used this title for another wip of mine before #but that idea did not stand the test of time woops #q ed

description: going to talk about AU August (2023 edition) and the state it's currently in, brief 4.0 thoughts (no spoilers), and just general tomfoolery updates on life. | 16/08/23

i'm still working on thoma's story for AU august. it is 1197 words long and i just reched the mid-point of the plan. quite excited for this as it's a bit different (and darker) than what i usually write. the nature of noir is not fun and games after all.

thoma's work will be posted when i finish it. i'll probably work on it with the prompt of the day.

for works that i've missed (itto, gorou), i will only get to them after the challenge. i will write according to the day's prompt.

i could also just release the notes/ideas i have for the days i've missed, but i started this challenge not just to train myself to think of ideas on the fly but to also implement them. i think i can come up with ideas pretty fast. it's the execution i need to polish.

on that note, feel free to ask for the notes and questions of each AU if you'd like! i will gladly share them :3c the beauty of these AUs is that it's not solidified? meaning that a lot of things can change so feel free to give your own input and we can roll the ball from there :3c

did you know that freminet's "name" in chinese is feimini and that sounds so cute. did you know that i'm eyeing freminet as my favourite character from fontaine. did you know that this is possibly kaveh all over again (LMAO).

i have been busy since there's a lot of things coming up so i'll take a while to respond, but i'm always very grateful to those that leave a nice comment on my fics... i can't believe you read through that wall of grammar and spelling mistakes...

here's a few things i have in mind after AU august: 1. proofread and edit the stories while... 2. writing the prompts i missed. then... 3. post the notes for each AU before continuing... 4. 10 confessions and when that's complete, write... 5. my cyno wip

i might hibernate as i work on my cyno wip, but when i return with my newly birthed creation i hope you guys enjoy it!! might work on requests here and there when i can :3c
