Played with some free AI art programs, and was pleasantly surprised.

Yes, I could draw it myself, but as I am deeply lazy, that doesn't happen often.

In classic INTP form, I have therefore instead found a way to talk a computer into doing to for me.

A sample:

Wanna morph him into a realistic looking demon instead of an otome/anime design? Done.

Ai isn't perfect, and drawing it yourself is much better and less prone to error. There are some pretty severe limitations to ai artwork. But if you want something quick and dirty, it's not bad!

I actually saved a few other ai drawings to use as references for my own traditional artwork. I've been learning watercolor, and seeing how it did the skin and hair on a few gave me some ideas. Plus I bought some inktense pencils I need to try out, and it might help me there too.

As reference material, AI is great, if you think of it as a stock photo. Then you can fix all the shit that doesn't make sense when you redraw it.

Statics on the art I posted on Tumblr: - 6 are from Ikemen Sengoku - 9 are from the Ikemen Series - 2 are from Voltage Inc. - 5 are couple drawings with MC - 5 are drawings for gift exchanges

2022 has been a chaotic year for me especially since it's post-pandemic, finishing masters and coping with a new job. But I'm proud of myself being able to draw this much this year, because I lost that motivation in 2018. I'm also happy to participate in gift exchanges, it's one of my motivations to draw and improve.

Drawing has become a luxury hobby of mine for now, because time is money LOL. I once  dreamt of having drawing as a full-time career, but I absolutely will not enjoy it since drawing is one of my stress relievers and I hope no one will interfere with that.

However, in 2020, I discovered something that changed my life, which is otome games. An ad on Instagram lured me to play Ikemen Vampire and I've been playing the ikemen series, some Voltage games and Tears of Themis. They have become my happy pills and I've met many wonderful people in this community who share their art, writings and  random ideas that make me smile and laugh. I thank you all for that.

May 2023 will be better for all of us and remember to make yourselves happy!
