Something I just noticed and really enjoy about Campaign 1 is how often their story involves becoming incredibly powerful and accomplishing so much and yet still not being able to do what's truly important to them. It's not only the gutpunch of the final episode, it's a thematic underpinning throughout the campaign.
Way back in their prestream adventures, the party was strong enough to defeat the Dread Emperor and save all the kidnapped children from Tal'Dorei—except one, a child Keyleth killed by accident, an act which haunts her through at least much of the early campaign. The party defeats the Briarwoods and reclaims Whitestone, but Ripley still escapes and 19 still misses, and the Chroma Conclave raze half the continent. Percy has great intellect and access to a powerful magical amplifier and forced out a demon through sheer force of will, but his carelessness still killed Vex and he only rolls a 6 to try to save her. The party has slain a dragon and is armed with four Vestiges of Divergence, but they couldn't save Tiberius and can't even give him the proper burial they want to. They brutally slaughter Ripley, but not before she gets the revenge she wants; she kills Percy, sending him to Orthax, and spreads guns throughout Exandria. The Conclave is slain, the whole party made it out alive, but Scanlan is forever scarred by the experience and leaves, tearing the party down as he goes. Even Vilya, prior to the campaign's beginning, was at the very end of her Aramente, likely a level 16-17 druid like Keyleth was, and still failed the trial of the Water Plane and was gone for almost 40 years.
And of course, Vox Machina became some of the most powerful people in the world, slayers of a god, legends to be immortalized for centuries...and none of their power could save their brother.
Percy points out to Bell's Hells, thirty years later, that fate isn't always kind and not everyone gets a second chance, and to me that's underscored by what we don't see. Elaina is still dead. Juniper is still dead. Percy's parents and five siblings are all still dead.
I mean, if any or all of their bodies are intact, it wouldn't even require True Resurrection to bring them back—not that Keyleth or Percy are averse to a little heresy, but hey, conserve your resources. If there are bodies, all they'd need is 7th-level Resurrection; none of those people have been dead for over a century, and if they need to find the bodies, well, Vex has Locate Object and Pike gets a Divine Intervention freebie once a week, right? Even if they did need True Resurrection, it's a heftier cost but probably not something too difficult to pay over time for one of the wealthiest families in the world.
But none of them have ever done that, nor do we get an indication that they've pursued it. Vox Machina is, probably more than any other CR party, defined by grief—how individual PCs respond to their own profound losses; how they succeed and fail to shoulder each others' burdens; and at the end of their story, how they deal with one of the most painful losses imaginable, and how they move forward and find peace in spite of it. Campaign 1 is just as much about how to deal with what you couldn't do as it is about what you now can do.

Hi I just saw your post!
Could I ask you do an imagine with percy or vax (or both😅) where they find their soulmate and what it is like. Smut if you like.
Thank you 😊
I can do that! I gotcha! This will not be NSFW. Some spoilers for Season 2 will be in this. I have many other requests in the web I’m creating right now. So, we’ll have an easy one today!
Percy De Rolo
Tumblr media
You would join Vox Machina off a whim. Got caught up in a tavern brawl and got kicked out with them.
You actually hit it off with Scanlan and Grog out of the rest of the group first. Then, Pike, Vax, and Vex. Percy didn’t accept you at first. He was wary of you because of his past.
You made it your entire effort into wanting to become Percy’s friend. You slowly gained more feelings for him the more you harassed him into a friendship.
He slowly became comfortable with you. Of course, you would never know that. He loves your company. He will never admit it.
You both are on the same wave length with everything, be it his crafting or to strategy in battle. Always by each others side.
You could sense something familiar about his aura. He found the same in you.
Soon enough, he found comfort in you. Just your presence can help ease if spiraling spirit.
He would always tell himself this is nothing more than a friendship but, he always felt deep down that he was lying to himself.
You knew you loved him with all your heart so, you would always remain by his side. No matter if he got with someone else or never at all.
He wouldn’t realize you are his soulmate until the falling of Whitestone.
You were the only one that could calm down his inner turmoil and was the one to sacrifice everything you could to keep him and his friends safe.
He finally knew it for sure when he was getting taken over by the spirit his gun possessed and accidentally shot you in the side. (As we know that never happened but in this little imagine, it did).
You went down and it snapped him into reality. He ran to catch your body only to be stopped by Scanlan and Grog as Keyleth got to work after being brought back herself.
After that day, for a while, he couldn’t stand to be out of his quarter’s at the Keep. He even refused to look at himself in the mirror.
You made a swift recovery and was told by the rest of the group about what Percy has been doing, Isolating himself.
You went to his door and knocked on it.
Percy was hesitant but opened the door. Before he could do anything, you hugged him and told him that it wasn’t his fault and that he’s okay.
He was caught off guard as he hugged you back. He listened as you consoled him, telling him that it was the spirit inside that did it, not him, and that he didn’t need to worry anymore because its gone and she is okay now.
He slowly pulled you inside during the hug and closed the door. After it shut, he let out the tears he didn’t know he was holding back.
He let himself spill, telling how he felt and that he is sorry. He needed to tell you that he wants to be by your side forever.
Of course, you feeling the same told him that you will never leave and that if you can handle what just happened and can make amends, you can get through anything.
Vax’ildan
Tumblr media
I feel like Vax is really in tune with himself.
When he first meets you in a market place, he stole your coin purse but, your keen eye saw him do it and you stole it back and his on top of it. Sending him a wink as you walked away.
He was starstruck. He at least knew that he was in love with you.
When they moved on, he hoped to revisit and see you again but, he didn’t hold to any hope because people have lives and move around too.
He long forgot about you after that because he and the group were really busy and he got caught up in other feelings for Keyleth, which didn’t end well for him so, he hasn’t thought much of you.
After the Chroma Conclave destroyed Emon, He and his friend departed to Vasselheim in search of allies.
Guess who’s there? You!
You are actually are a mercenary. You help whoever pays you, be it the Slayer’s Take or other people.
After being rejected by the clergy, the group was making there way over to the Slayer’s Take and that’s when he spotted you.
You were walking out of there as they walked up. You a large sack of gold that you finished your bounty for and was about to head out.
Before you went too far, Kashaw opened the door and called you back in, telling that the Patron needs to talk to you.
He watched as you sighed and headed back inside.
He raised and eyebrow, You’re so important that the Patron needs to speak with you directly. Interesting.
You were a mystery to him and he loved every second of it. He thought he was the most mysterious person he knew. Not by a long shot.
When they walked in, the quarrel happened until the Patron lets them down to speak with them.
You waited down there on Osysa’s throne was she dealt with each member.
When Vax was encountered, a number of things were said but, one of the most important ones was, ‘You sought love and it wasn’t found but love is a mysterious thing. Soulmates will always be drawn back to each other, no matter the distance or time it takes. Remember what has happened and reflect on this. Love will never always be right in front of you always. Follow your spirit and you will know.’
Vax knew she was talking about you. His spirit was saying it over and over was she spoke to him.
After the dust cleared and they proved themselves worth, you were introduced by Osysa herself.
Osysa knew your heart that you hid away from everyone, she knew that you would help them and not screw them over. Plus, you are preferred to handle in the affairs of God’s, given that you are a Warlock.
Vax couldn’t take his eyes off you. He repeated your name over and over in his head. His spirit seemed to scream out to be next to you.
As Osysa sent you all away, she gave you a knowing look. You two were best friends. You were always there for Osysa ever since you have been confirmed to be of a righteous heart.
The glacé she gave you made you grin and tease back, ‘I’ll tell your hubby you said hi!’
Vax immediately as you all were walking out went up next to you, ‘Hello, I’m Vax’ildan. It’s nice to actually know your name now.’
You just smirked at him, ‘Maybe ask a name before yanking there coin purse next time.’
With that, you passed him as he stood in shock for a second. He watched as your hips swayed slightly back and forth.
It took Scanlan to break him from his thoughts, ‘Someone’s gots the hots’ He semi whispered to Grog in a singsong voice. Grog laughed and covered his mouth.
Vax just rolled his eyes and continued walking.
You hit it off with Pike, Grog, and Scanlan immediately. Everyone slowly pulled there way into your conversations.
As your journey continued, Vax admired you more and more. You’re beautiful, smart, cunning, stealthy, and just a wonderful person in general. He loved it.
After you an everyone made it successfully into the tomb, Percy found the armor.
Instead of hitting Vex’ahlia, it hit you. Killing you in an instant. Vax lost it.
He ran to your corpse and held it tightly as he cried. He just got you. He will not lose you this quickly.
As everyone was trying to resurrect you, Vax had his vision and told the Raven Queen to take him instead of you.
She excepted and you came back. He was so relieved. Yet, his emotions couldn’t express it. He just went and put on the armor.
You realized something was off immediately about Vax. You didn’t know him long but, Osysa told you he was the one. You knew it too but, it’s nice to hear it from your best friend.
After being sabotaged and Vax clutching up, you sat by the fire and watched Vax. He stood and stared into space.
You walked over to him and rested your hand on his new armor.
You knew what he did because of your affairs with the Gods and Goddesses themselves.
You looked at him, ‘Can you go on a walk with me?’
He agreed and you both started walking.
‘I know what you did. You aren’s the only one that see visions and Gods.’
Vax stopped in his tracks and looked at you, ‘I did it to save you. Nothing more.’
‘You lost part of your soul when you did that. That’s why you’re cold and distant now. Don’t worry. I used to be the same. I made a pact too. My feelings came back after I met you.’
Vax felt a rush of emotions come over him. He knew that he had someone to rely on now. He knew that you shared the pain he feels right now.
He hugged you tightly like you were going to disappear again. He let the tears flow as he held you. You held him back as he sobbed. You whispered to him that everything will be okay and that you will be there until the end.
At that point he knew for a fact, you were his soulmate. Be in life or amongst the Gods.

yall they're already dropping hints about Raishan. she's rightfully portrayed as the most intelligent of the Conclave, but they're very clearly setting up for her reveal to be a "why didn't we realize it all along, the details are all there" moment.
she encounters Vox Machina and calls them interesting -- she knows about them, and her interest is piqued. then we see that little kid in Whitestone with bright, bright green eyes -- she followed them to Whitestone, figuring that they have what it takes to defeat the Conclave. we see the same green eyes on the guy in Vasselheim who sets them on the path to the Slayer's Take -- she redirects them where they need to go, to the people and the tools that will let them defeat Thordak.
and if you've seen C1, you know that this is all in her master fucking plan. because IIRC she never really wanted anything to do with the Chroma Conclave -- she helped Thordak escape and then stayed allied with him for as long as she did because she was hoping to use him for the information he had, and when that information turned out to be wrong, she has no use for him anymore.

It's like the end of the world...
The Legend of Vox Machina Season 2 is here with the release of its first three episodes. To commemorate the premiere, here's a small selection of articles from Encyclopedia Exandria:
Chroma Crisis, the conflict between the people of Tal'Dorei and the dragons of the Chroma Conclave. Seasons two and three of the animated series adapt this struggle.
Vestiges of Divergence, legendary items forged to fight the Calamity, at the end of the Age of Arcanum. As this season begins, so does Vox Machina's quest to collect these items to fight the Chroma Conclave.
Osysa, a sphinx living beneath the Slayer's Take hall in Vasselheim. It is she who tells Vox Machina of the Vestiges.
Victor, a salesman of mining products, including black powder. Eccentric, missing quite a number of fingers, hopes you don't repeat his mistakes.
Purvan Suul, a champion of the Raven Queen during the Age of Arcanum. Vox Machina visited his tomb early in their quest for the Vestiges, and it is a place of great significance.

Little Slayer 2| TLoVM x platonic!reader
Preface| Every party had their outlier. For some, most people would think it was Scanlan of the legendary group Vox Machina. Yet as we know fate has its own working on the matter.
Enter amnesiac Y/N who happened to cross their paths. For the most part they appeared utterly normal as a human could be but well as the party would soon realize there is more to them than meets the eye.
Word Count| 1766
Link to [Part 01] | [Part 03]
[A/N]: I’m thinking the title might change as the story progresses but who knows
Also apologies if I don’t cover everyone’s point of view, it’s not easy writing about a bunch of characters!
Also there might be violence and stuff but this is TLoVM what can you expect lol
“Wow I thought Grog losing his muscles was more depressing for him than not getting to keep the kid,” sighed Scanlan as he took a swig of his ale though not before watching Grog lay his head on the wooden table.
“Me too,” agreed Pike as she looked on with a small frown over her best friend’s state. “Our journey is not exactly for young folk,” reasoned the Matron of Ravens’ champion.
“It’s still upsetting to watch. I feel bad for him though,” Keyleth looked down at her drink.
“At least we were able to help in some form,” Percy attempted to see things from a positive perspective. “Indeed,” murmured Vex.
“Who knows, maybe we’ll see them when we leave in the morrow.”
Breaths from the cold night were visible as you panted from running. You weren’t running from anyone to be exact, more like you were trying to find the group that helped you earlier.
That’s if hopefully, they hadn’t left which is why you were running in the first place. You wanted to properly thank them for giving you enough money to fill the gnawing ache in your belly from hunger.
But it was futile.
It was too dark now and the moon that once illuminated your path was now dark.
Wait… there had just been moonlight a moment ago.
A strange sensation resonated in your being, that felt familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.
Yet you never thought you would be screaming a word that struck the hearts and minds of common folk with fear.
“Dragon!” you screamed as you ran into the street, hoping in some shape or form your cry of alarm would somehow alert everyone in the nick of time but it was too late.
The hard flapping of wings entered your hearing though not before blue fire spurted downwards from the sky onto the ground, burning the buildings around you as you ducked for cover from the flame.
The dragon roared as it flew above you, spreading more of its flame. The fire was unlike any that you’d seen before, as the heat of the flames made you hotter than before even though you were a good distance away from them though its damage was just as heavy as screams of terror filled the night air.
“How pitiful… you think you can escape from my grasp?” the dragon bellowed as it landed on a tower that from what you can see had to be in the center of town. Using its vantage point from there, it stayed perched on the stone structure while aiming its head to burn whatever it saw move.
Those who were trying to survive by escaping unfortunately met their demise by the blue flame.
“Let it be known that I Scargone, master of cremation, am taking this town for the Chroma Conclave!” announced Scargone as he lifted his head up to the night sky before unleashing his fiery breath.
‘I was wrong… my luck went to shit!’ you cursed as you hunkered down in the alleyway you ducked into. Your body was too scared to move, frozen in fear as much as you knew you had to leave there with your life.
“Get the others to safety!” you heard an all too familiar voice say which in that moment helped you to break free from your frozen state. Carefully you peeked out from where you hid.
“Scanlan and Percy make sure to get everyone out before joining us against this bastard. I want casualties to be at a minimum…” it was them, you finally managed to find them.
‘Wait they are going to stop the dragon?!’ now panic filled your being because even though you just met them, you didn’t want them to die!
“We just killed a dragon not long ago, had one be in our midst for a while and now we have to kill another one again!..” groaned the archer woman from earlier.
‘So they have encountered dragons before… even killed them.’ you never would have thought they were dragon-slayers as they were not what you imagined when one pictured them. You thought they would be more rough and tumbled and maybe some missing a limb. Maybe Grog looked the part but not really anyone else.
“If it is destiny dear sister then so be it. The rest of us are killing a dragon.” her brother acknowledged placing a hand on her shoulder before nodding to the others for initiation of their plan.
“Let’s go Scanlan,” ordered the man with glasses, the one that also offered to share his gold with you as he turned on his heel racing ahead of the gnome also from earlier.
“Coming, geez!” the bard bantered back as they went their separate ways.
You debated about what to do. It would be stupid to follow after them, but you also had a strange feeling inside of you other than fear if you didn’t do something.
Perhaps it was cowardice.
But they also knew what they were doing, they killed a dragon before.
Your heart began to pound faster and faster as you debated about what to do, adrenaline coursing through your veins.
‘Ugh so help me…!’ without a moment to think, you got up from your hiding spot and ran out of the alleyway as your legs seemed to have a mind of their own following in the direction of where Grog, the giant that held you earlier, went along with his part of the party.
As much as you reasoned with yourself that they could handle it; something inside of you said for you to go and there was no avoiding it.
Within a moment’s notice, it had not taken long for them to reach the center of town as much as the blue flames made an attempt to burn them from existence.
“Voluntaire!” Vex shouted as she took out her broom from her magical pouch, not wasting a moment to get on and reach to the sky so that with her added height she would be able to shoot at Scargone with Fenthras.
While they were distracted with Scargone; it was easy for you to slip by. It was not easy for you to hide as fire seemed to corner you with every step you took, but you had to make your way somehow.
“I…want to… rage!” you could hear Grog yell as he used some kind of object against the ground to launch him in the air. You were able to see him as the gauntlets on his hands glowed as he neared the beast.
Scargone having noticed him wasted no time in breathing his devastating flame to first Vex and then Grog. Vex managed to maneuver out of the way but Grog was able to feel part of the blue flames.
“Grog!” screamed Pike as she watched him fall, thinking he was not able to withstand it. But with a clap of the Titanstone Knuckles, he stopped his descent and ascended once more.
“That was nothing!” he grinned as he finally touched down onto Scargone.
“Pathetic…” the black dragon hissed as he tried to bite the half-giant though not before noticing a dark shadow move in his periphery. Vax using the newfound wings of a raven from his vestige threw his blades at the beast, though his aim was not accurate as he tried to evade the wings of Scargone as another means of attack.
“He’s stopped spewing that dastardly blue fire thanks to brother and Grog,” Vex huffed, coughing from the dark smoke from the flames Scargone had ignited earlier.
“Keyleth, we won’t be able to fight if the smoke is slowing us down, do something about it,” the half-elven twin ordered as the air Ashari did as she was told. “Pike you and I need to buy time with Grog and brother until Percy and Scanlan get here. Maybe we’ll need Mythcarver to take him down.” she rationalized as the gnome cleric chuckled before saying a “right” before heading over to help their friends.
So it was the four of them against one dragon as you watched Keyleth put out the smoke and flame with her air-druid magic. Though as much as she put them out, Scargone would go ahead and add more as he tried to aim at his attackers.
Though from your viewpoint you could tell he was growing in aggression and it won’t be long until he maybe changed course. Maybe there was a weak spot on him.
A weak spot? How had you known that? You wanted to deduce how you knew on that matter but something caught your attention.
When Scargone turned his head trying to set Vex on fire; behind his jawbone were what looked like gills almost like that of a fish. The others wouldn’t have noticed it because of the darkness of his hide and the smoke that exhumed which covered it from view.
Until you were able to see it.
“Enough!” Scargone yelled agitated as he lifted himself from his perch, rising high in the sky as he took off probably in an attempt to remove Grog from him as he was the only one who managed to be on him.
“There goes Grog again,” commented Vax as he hovered in the air, his eyes narrowing trying to spot the dragon.
“Brother he is using the night to his advantage and there is no way we can keep up with him. It's like Umbraysl all over again,” pointed out his twin sister as she hovered beside him.
“Even worse, I don’t think we’ve managed to put a dent in him…” groaned Pike as she wiped the soot from her face. “We need another change of plan. We have to keep him grounded until Percy and Scan get here like Vex said earlier.”
“You’re right, but what can we do? Even with these vestiges, it seems we are always at the shorthand of the matter…” Vax couldn’t help but voice his thoughts as he landed on the ground with a thump.
“You need to exploit his weak spot.” an unfamiliar voice spoke softly.
The eyes of both twins widened in surprise for they did not sense that there was someone else among them as they and the others with them looked over to see you illuminated by the light of the blue flame.
But it was only until recently that they discovered that Vex could not sense all dragons and now apparently they could not sense you as you approached them.
There was something off about you and they knew it.
What were you?

Fantasy 2 + the soulblooms au if i can add that on??
Fantasy 2: "You saw that too, right?" So it really doesn’t use the quote, but this is what I was inspired to write: People looking at that plethora of soulmates Bells Hells has and knowing that likely means Fate has Big Plans for them.
Gaze upon your Fate
There was much celebration in Hishari when Efterin’s child was born. After all, their great leader now had an heir.
An heir born with three soulmates that increases to five in a few short years.
It’s a good thing, Efterin tells himself. A large soulmate group is often indicative of a powerful Destiny. And what is reviving the Primordial Titans but a very powerful Destiny? Hishari’s success seems all but guaranteed with the many blooms upon Efterin’s, their leader’s, own heir.
(He does his best to ignore the burning jealousy he feels of his child. That he only blooms for his wife and has had to travel the world to get any acknowledgement of the great Destiny that is his)
___
Lord Wyvernwind looks upon his second-born son, healthy and strong as his first-born.
Unlike Cyrus, Brontë has seven soulmates from the start, rather than a more… normal one or two.
It’s not a terrible thing. Many soulmates often means a noteworthy existence, which can be… difficult for a second-born son of a high-standing family to achieve normally. So often the second-born lives in the first-born’s shadow, an ever present support that goes unremarked upon by most.
Though a part of Lord Wyvernwind does wish it was Cyrus with so many blooms. It would be a reassurance that the Silken Squall would be in good hands when it’s time for him to step down. A noteworthy leader is good, a noteworthy backup… just a little bit concerning.
But only time will tell whether Brontë’s blooms bode ill or well for the Squall.
___
Alma watches her boy practice with his sword in the yard. Orym is determined to follow Will (who’s following his father) into the Tempest Blades. Determined enough to practice what he’s learning even at home so he can be one of the best.
It’s not the worst thing in the world that her boy wants to protect people, especially the ones he cares about. But, she worries about what Orym may be asked to guard against one day.
After all, eight soulmates is an awful lot for a fifteen-year-old. The last time Zephrah saw those kinds of numbers, it was the Voice of the Tempest herself. And just look at Vox Machina: slayers of the Chroma Conclave and saviors of the world by sealing away a newborn evil god.
Any reasonable mother would worry about what Destiny has in store for her child with that kind of precedent.
Still, Alma will support her Orym as best she can.
___
Morrigan the Fatestitcher looks at the child left in her care, her new granddaughter.
The little faun is six years old and she has nine soulmates. It’s rare enough for a fey to have one soulmate, but nine? Practically unheard of. And special even on Exandria where most everyone has a soulmate or four.
More than that, Fearne is the child of a minor archfey Lord in the Unseelie Court purposefully born under Exandria’s Moon of Ill Omen. A powerful bloodline, a cursed birth. Such plans that were put in place for reasons Morrigan can’t yet unravel to make this child so.
Yes, her granddaughter’s thread hums with all the possible Fates that await her.
She’s something special, Morri’s little Fearne, so it’s best to keep a finger on that thread and make sure no one fucks up what is hers.
___
Relvin watches his daughter run off with the witch from the woods and supposes it was inevitable.
Seven soulmates, and that witch is one of them.
He’s spent a long time trying to deny that his little girl has enough soulmates to be a victim of some big Destiny, but everyone has to wake up and face reality someday.
It just hurts.
Liliana left nearly twenty-five years ago because she saw that writing on the wall and thought she could cut it off by leaving and looking for answers about her, their, powers. Now Imogen is gone too. Maybe for that same search. Definitely because of the soulmate she found who’s not welcome in Gelvaan (and Imogen isn’t really either. Not after leaving as she did. …And maybe before that too, with her difficulties with the townsfolk).
All Relvin knows is that his girls are gone, and this blooming Destiny has got at least a little something to do with it.
___
Dancer sits beneath a jungle tree, bloody and sweaty and scared, as far from that godsforsaken mine as her tired legs would carry her.
It’s not as far as she’d like, thanks to the fucking bloodloss of having her fucking arm hacked off. The hasty bandage she’d wrapped around it as she ran is already soaked through with blood.
They didn’t think FCG had it in him to attack anyone like that, much less their friends.
But folks can be deceiving, Dancer supposes. It’s what they get for waking up an ancient machine they have very little understanding of. Never know what someone else has built until it’s coming for your throat.
The worst part, she thinks, is that FCG has soul blooms. Seven different ones. And those poor fuckers are going to think their big Destiny is a good one. Dancer doubts it. Not with a monster like FCG in that group. And that’s assuming he doesn’t kill them first.
___
It’s unconventional to let one so old attempt the Hunter’s Bane.
The Bane is harsh, deadly. Not all who attempt it survive, and many of them are younger, healthier, than the old gnome they found turned in the Savalirwood.
But he has gumption, this one. Gumption and a mess of seven soul blooms.
Reviled as they often are for their sacred duties, the Claret Orders still serve the Matron of Ravens, and part of her Domain of Fate is soul blooms. How could they claim to follow Her if they did not heed the warning that this one was needed for some larger Fate?
So they give the old man turned new wolf the Bane and wait and watch, to see if he will rise stronger, ready to face his Fate.
___
Delilah watches from behind her vessel’s eyes as a ragtag little group of adventures, of soulmates (as if they will ever know what true love and devotion are), comes together.
Just a little bit, she is reminded of that awful, pesky Vox Machina. Adventuring soulmates, both them and this tentative unnamed group.
As much as she hates Vox Machina (and she loathes them for separating her from her Sylas again and again), even Delilah can admit that the group has had quite the impact on the world.
So it is a little hopeful that her poor, naive vessel has come into her own group marked for greatness. After all, greatness need not be for the good of the world. And even so, there’s quite a lot Delilah can do with a bit of greatness to influence and command.
Maybe, after thirty tedious years, she’ll finally be able to collect the power needed to bring Him back to her side once again.
Yes. It will be quite interesting to see where little Laudna’s Destiny leads.

After last year’s TLOVM watch party I realized it wasn’t really possible to rewatch the commentary. So this time I went and wrote down as much of the fun extra info as I could so I don’t lose it.
Season 2 Episode 1:
Everyone shut up, Gilmore’s talking
According to Matt, 75,000 - 80,00 people died in the dragon attack
The genasi(?) child that get killed by Raishan is voiced by Sam’s kid
After reading the S2 script, Lance Reddick said he didn’t want to agree to voice Thordak until he know what happened next. So Sam gave him the rundown of what happens
The party was starting to think “well what are we supposed to do now?” Before getting to the chroma conclave in the original campaign.
The orphans are also Sam's kids
Animators rotoscoped 2d animation over the dragons to add details. Specifically, ice on Vorugal
The first version of Scanlan jumping through the tree he had a tear in his pants, they thought it was too light for the situation and got rid of it.
A transition near the end was originally Scanlan’s pants, which had been patched up flying by, also too light.
Season 2 Episode 2:
"Etherial butt scoops"
All the chatter entering vasslehiem is just the main cast
The law-bearer person who directs them to the slayer’s take was originally Kima’s cousin.
Kash’s “You’re very close to me” was improv
The boar-man in the slayer's take is half Liam’s grunting half Travis’
This was Will’s first time cursing in an animated show
The calamity scene was assigned to one person (they did a great job)
Victor’s fiiiiiine
Season 2 Episode 3:
Dexter, the pink accountant dragon, who flies with a propeller hat. Voiced by Eddie Deezen.
Scanlan’s foot fetish joke was improv.
The episode has next to no musical score, to make it feel strange or unnerving. But swells at the end scene.
Zarah was designed to have very “John Wick” close-quarters combat magic.
When pike gets sucked into the pillar of water Travis always thinks Ashley sounds like an elephant.
Kash’s “‘Cause you fuckin’ should be” was improv.
Matt started crying at the end.
Let me know if I missed anything

That was certainly an episode, wasn't it?
It felt as stressful for me as the attack on Emon by the Chroma Conclave. Because at that time, it felt so big and massive and ZOMG HOW ARE THEY GONNA DEAL WITH 4 ANCIENT DRAGONS?!
And this feels bigger and potentially more world altering than the Conclave. That being said, I'm excited for whatever is next! Ludinus' plan didn't go off without a hitch. Liliana did, at least at one moment, seem to falter. There's a giant fucking beacon in the sky alerting everyone where shit's going down.
Plus! The party is split! I *love* that and I'm looking forward to how that gets played out.
Will it be similar to the Slayers Take episodes where we only have half the gang? Will there be guests?
Where are Spooky and the Lads? Are they also on Wildemount? Isslyra? Somewhere else? Some *time* else? How are the two groups gonna find their way back to each other?
So many questions and possibilities and I can't wait!

Idea for a Critical Role Fan-Fic
Since I doubt I will ever bother writing it up. I think I will describe an idea I had for a Critical Role fan-fic.
Essentially the idea was to focus on Tiberius (Yes, yes I know, we dont talk about TIberius) and would describe his last moments and the final moments of Dragonia.
It would try to reconcile some of the problems and inconsistencies with Tiberius character as him coming to terms with his own shortcomings and even regretting some of the things he did when he was still with Vox Machina (Most essential, his regret of failing to help Percy because he was to self-absorbed and full of himself that he wasted time on Dragonia than to be there for him), right befor ethe Chroma Conclave attacked Dragonia.
next, the fan-fic would have been Tiberius being thrown around as he desperately tried to survive against Vorugal as the rest of the Chroma Conclave was effortlessly destroying Dragonia. It would also have Tiberius think how, as a White Dragon, Vorugal was probably the weakest of the Chroma Conclave yet he outclassed Tiberius in every way.
We would then have Tiberius having to confront his people's mistreatment of the Ravenites and admiting to himself Dragonia's own failings. Then do one final stand as he fights to protect some ravenites. Then, as a last ditch attempt, Tiberius would use his metamagic to try to enforce his last spell to it's very limits. temporarily unlocking a single-use ninth-level spell slot to throw a Fireball at Vorugal. The strongest Fireball Tiberius had thrown in his entire life.
Then the narration would show Vorugal, somewhat hurt, but still standing strong. Meanwhile, the narration would describe how Tiberius reckless use of Metamagic burned away all of his magic and left him completely powerless.
as the rest of the Chroma Conclave joined Vorugal, the white dragon would finish off the Dragonborn sorcerer and Dragonia would fall, full of sadness and despair for the future of Exandria.
Then the rest of the fan-fic would be Tiberius, as a spirit, being taken somewhere by a person with black feathers.
To vasselheim.
To the Slayer's Take.
To the room with a familiar creature. and a familiar group.
Vox Machina, already deep in thought and planning their counter-attack against the Chroma Conclave.
And then he would pass on in peace. Because as strong as the Chroma Conclave was, he knew them and know they could do the impossible and win

As much as I’m glad tlovm exists it makes me sad that they really cut out all the stuff that I liked about Campaign 1. It’s never going to be an adaptation that I especially like, even if it’s a fun show to watch on its own.
Most of my issues stem from the changes they had to make to start the story at the Briarwood arc. They can’t have everyone’s character arcs start out at the same place as they were in the live show at this point. Things are getting shuffled around and cut. I get why they’re doing it but I dislike....most of the changes they’ve made.
I’m gonna put the rest under a read more because it’s really just me venting and being nitpicky! I know I’m in the minority, people LOVE this show! And please do! I’m just sad it’s not what I was hoping for.
I don’t think having season 2 revolve around the Chroma Conclave makes sense with the pacing of the animated show. The Chroma Conclave works best when you love Emon and the characters there. In the animated show, we barely know any of these characters. The death of the king doesn’t hold the same weight. They don’t even bother to try and make Gilmore being missing/maybe dead a thing in the animated show, there’s no suspense whatsoever, he’s just there to dispense loot.
Ideally, they would have added at least one season in between the Briarwood arc and the Chroma Conclave. Retool Kraghammer or the Slayer’s Take to happen without Tiberius. Just something to give us time to love the characters in this world before the Conclave threatens them all. This would also give the characters more time to earn some of the spells they had in the liveshow at this point, since they’re obviously having to make story cuts and write around that (Pike can’t do the resurrection ritual for Vex or Grog, Scanlan doesn’t have Modify Memory to fix Percy, no mansion).
It would also give us time for more of the silly jokes in between characters, more time to flesh them out. Show us more of Vax being in love with Keyleth, of him being in love with Gilmore; show us more of Vax’s goofy side. Show us more of Vex’s vulnerable side, how she and Keyleth go against the team to try and befriend Clarota, show us how good she as at haggling. Keyleth has strong opinions on the Gods and it’s pretty damn weird this hasn’t come up yet in the animated show??? Show us Keyleth having opinions on the Gods whose vestiges she’s about to have to collect??
It’s just so weird to have the Chroma Conclave arc happen with barely any buildup!!

Did you see that someone found the LOVM s2 episode titles on IMDB and posted it to reddit?
I only ask because you always have good thoughts about storytelling in different mediums and there's been a good deal of speculation about how they were going to divide up the Chroma Conclave arc for the show
Yes - I've seen the episode listing on IMDB, and found my old post, which was presuming they did the conclave arc in one season. I'm excited on how, despite the very different pacing, how much I guessed correctly! They are presumably doing Slayer's Take this season and they do seem to be combining Keyleth's Aramente into re-sealing the rift (makes sense, given that her original Fire Trial was Thordak foreshadowing and uh. he's here), as well as making Kaylie's first appearance in Westruun.
Because they have (presumably) two seasons, I suspect Rimecleft is the Kamaljiori stuff that I'd have cut, and they're able to give the Herd of Storms arc and Feywild stuff a lot more space to breathe, which is exciting! I like the choice to re-order the Feywild as well, given that they have the full season - the arc is now "prepare to kill the first dragon" and working their way up to that, and they'll have more vestiges in place for that combat, which will be fun. From there I would finish up the Conclave as the plot of season 3, and end that season with Scanlan's departure.

I don’t think TLOVM is going to include the Slayer’s Take, especially given how much there is to get through with the Chroma Conclave, but I really want to see Kashaw and Zahra on screen.

Everything we could possibly get in Season 2 and 3 of The Legend of Vox Machina
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking of the Chroma Conclave and what we could possibly get in season 2 and SEASON 3! So I decided to write down everything that we could possibly get in season 2 and 3 just to cover the whole Conclave Arc. Let me Know if I missed anything Spoiler Warnings for Campaign 1, though I tried to keep most of the stuff vague  *-means most likely
*Vasselhiem
The Slayer’s Take
*Kash and Zaraha
*Vestiges of Divergence(duh)
*The Tomb
*The Raven Queen(But probably under a different name due to copyright
*”Take me instead, you raven bitch”
Galdric
*The wings
*More Vaxleth
*More Perchalia
*”Lady Vex’ahlia”
*More Pikelan
*Kevdak
Kerrek
Shale
Gorthok
*The Sphinxs
*The alliance
Larkin
*Zephrah
*Korrin
*Pyrah
*The Feywild
*Syngorn
*Saundor
*Garmelie
The Broom
*The Mansion
*Kaylie
Earth Breaker Groon
The Boot war between the Twins
*Willhand Trickfoot
*Viktor(Please, Matt, please!)
Marquet
J’mon Sa Ord
Yenk
Major Spoilers under this cut
*Vex dying
*Grog dying
*Percy dying
*Scanlan dying
*”What’s my Mother’s Name?”
While the Rakshasa fight happens during the Conclave arc, I don’t think it’s going to be a part of the animated series since we only saw Hotis for five seconds in a flashback. It would be cool if we saw him, but it would probably also take away from the main plot which is to defeat the Conclave
