He was brutally torn apart and never heard from again in Skybound timeline.

Uncared for and forgotten in the main timeline afterwards too.

Ya'll listen. You can headcanon Mr E as being whoever you want. Cryptor, Mindroid, some random other droid, literally just himself, whatever. But none of those are ever going to have the same impact as Echo being Mr E. Mr E has a beef with Zane, always has. And sure, Cryptor or Mini or whatever would love to beat Zane's ass, but it wouldn't be nearly as personal. They've always seen themselves as better, more high-tech than him. They've always been his enemy, always hated him. But Echo? Echo was just a replacement Zane. Unlike the s3 Nindroids, Echo was seen as an inferior version of Zane, rather than a superior version. He was built by their father to fill a Zane-shaped hole in Julien's heart, and when he inevitably couldn't, he was cast away, banished to the basement for the sin of being himself and not his brother. He seems perfectly chipper when we meet the guy in s6, but it's perfectly reasonable to say that over time he could harden. Grow bitter, resentful of the brother in who's image he was built. Cryptor or Mindroid could harbor some hatred for the original droid, sure, but Mr E does not wear the Mask of Hatred, or even the Mask of Deception, for all his tricks and secrets. He wears the Mask of Vengeance. What better vengeance than becoming more high-tech, more advanced, more powerful than the so-called "Perfect" Zane? Than destroying the son his father loved so much more than him? The SOG offer something that he previously never had. They give him a purpose that separates him from his brother, they give him a sense of belonging, family, even, however twisted it may be. He failed as a son of Julien. So he became of Son of Garmadon. And how fitting of him to fail in that as well? To once again be too small to meet his "father's" expectations, to once again be cast aside, torn apart? And how much more would his fight with Zane mean? Zane screaming, begging to know who he is, shocked to discover that he is also a Nindroid. Even more shocked to realize that perhaps his father is not the man he believed him to be. "No one deserves to be held prisoner. Not even a monster." That's what Zane told his father. And Julien was a monster, for giving life to a young boy only to lock him away. An innocent child, held prisoner, rotting and rusting until he became a monster. Until he sought nothing more than vengeance on the people who left him there.

hey you don't have to tear down idw/tfp starscream to uplift skybound starscream i promise!

and no idw/tfp didn't "ruin" starscream - both showcased an extremely violent, abusive and cold side of starscream that is a staple of all starscreams. idk where this idea is coming from that those two iterations of his character are somehow innocent or peaceful. yes i do agree that some fans do overly pacify him and that can be annoying. but that has nothing to do with the canon characters themselves, that is fanon and you need to separate canon from fanon...

also, wrt to idw and tfp the stories and narratives were different from skybound which offered more room for nuance and character growth which dicated how the character was perceived by fans however, violent starscream didn't start with skybound starscream.

and the lack of media literacy and understanding that isn't the fault of idw/tfp starscream. if you are annoyed at people being stupid over skybound starscream and acting as if he's too much that's one thing. because yeah it is annoying that people refuse to understand that strarscream can be a violent/problematic person (OUTSIDE of megatron at that)

but what we're not going to do is slandered idw/tfp starscream because not only were they well written starscream's (to an extent) but those are two different starscream from different iterations that had different plots. you can't really compare and contrast over all narratives to skybound starscream but they certainly didn't ruin fandom perception of starscream.

you can get mad at how people are being dumb about skybound starscream without tearing down idw/tfp it's that simple. idw/tfp didn't diminish starscream a lot of people just lacked reading literacy when it came to those two versions of the character but they were not bad iterations of him at all.

If Violet's ship being the likes and Louis' ship being the retweets on Skybound's tweet isn't an example of white privilege, then I don't know what is. Louis was set up to fail.

To be honest, In this particular instance I don’t think it was white privilege as much as it was a case of it being Pride Month in June and Skybound both wanting and knowing Violentine to have a bigger chance as it’s literally been one of the most iconic and praised representations of a canon (kinda) LGBT pairing in the gaming community for the past year and Skybound wants to humblebrag.

Because I found it quite weird that why now of all times they suddenly decided to host this vote to see which pairing is the best when they’ve literally had an entire year previously to do it back when the ship wars were 10x more rampant than now. It’s really strange timing, especially when previously asked about the topic they would often play coy and not entertain those people.

Honestly, I don’t care who gets the highest number of votes, I just hate that they did that stupid vote knowing fine well the anger and fighting it causes within the community because they wanted to make a statement.

Both Louis and Violet are fucking great characters and are amazing with Clem. Why can’t we just acknowledge them both? Skybound could have easily have been more tasteful and did what a lot of fans do and just make a tweet with the both of them together with a little statement on how important the inclusion of an LGBT option was in the game in regards to representation.

There. No pointless arguing and we also get a bit of praise towards the developers. Having a childish poll with the intention of riling up people is just ASKING for the racists and homophobes to crawl out from their goblin caves to give their “thoughts” on the ship they don’t like and use it as an excuse to slander them.

This is cannon compliment. Uhh kids show?! Yeah I know shouldn’t really have these themes but they’re there hear me out. Spoilers for season 6/8 I guess.

I’m bothered by this scene and how It connect to certain events so I’ll cautiously share

WHAT THE FUCK! Dude the double take I had when first watching this.

So he looked at Kelo’s… lower half and basically said ‘Cole shut up that man’s crotch is too close’. And not in Jay joking tone, he’s like dead serious and stressed. (The scene just cuts away after)

Jay you ok? Why is it implied some guy might have tried something?! Why else would he say that?! Who the FUCK touched my boi? What even is this scene?!

The fact it’s Jay that said it out of everyone is bad because it’s been implied to him before.

So let’s talk about the darkest Ninjago theory that’s been quietly circulating for a while in fan content. For simplicity I’ll call it captains quarters theory, If you’re unfamiliar I’ll explain.

Basically some speculation happened because of a certain villain that displayed subtle ongoing predatory behavior. And a part when Jay was his prisoner that caused people to worry what happened before the scene started.

As some of you have caught on It’s the scene where Cole rescues Jay from Misfortunes Keep.

He didn’t find Jay in his cell where he should have.

Cole found him beaten as ninjago has ever depicted except when literally dying.

no explanation given.

In the corner of Captains Quarters.

Nadakhan’s room.

Dude :(

And his concern afterwards.

And thinking he didn’t deserve saving.

“Thank you for trying to save me,-

It’s Just a lot.

Doing awful things to make Jay wish it all away is terrifyingly in Nadakhan’s character. Not just the sadistic torture part.

Nadakhan has many behaviors similar to a sexual predator. I’ll go over it briefly but see my last post for a detailed analysis.

He Seeks out vulnerable people for victims. The Ninja are teens and he waits till or makes them emotionally vulnerable. The way he talks about gifting his wishes and giving his victims anything they desire can be read as grooming behavior. His secrecy in getting all the ninja alone and doesn’t even talk to his crew about his plans. Manipulative and Controlling obviously.

And the most glaring issues he’s WAY tooo fucking touchy all the time. Like watch his body language during Skybound and see how uncomfortable it is

“Too slow junkyard boy”

Not to mention how explicitly he doesn’t care about consent….

And “If you don’t come willingly Nya, I will take you regardless” followed by a forced marriage.

Side note he doesn’t refers to Jay with his name and the things he calls him…uggh “What lies is our little canary whistling now, hmm?”

So… It’s cannon compliant that something was attempted or happened to Jay. Bruh wtf.
