Avatar Lloyd redesign from the prime empire season!

What always bothered me with the Lloyd avatar design is that (in comparison to the Jay and Kai avatar designs) he had the exact same colour palette as usual, and in my eyes looked very recognisable,which kinda goes against the whole reason why he bought the avatar? because it was supposed to be a disguise?

So I decided to redesign it and make him look less recognisable and less like a typical Lloyd design, and feel like this would work better as a disguise for him compared to the original design

Went for a sort of rockstar vibe with a mostly black and gold colour scheme and I really like how it turned out! Surprisingly

So here's my conflict. On the one hand, I agree that s12 wouldve been much more interesting if theyd gone with the original idea of having Libber act as a living battery for the game. It would have facilitated more emotional motivation for Jay, as well as a greater sense of thematic cohesion and parallel between him and Unagami. Plus, it would be cool to finally see what happened to Libber.

On the other hand, I feel like Jay never finding out why he was abandoned and learning to heal and move past it anyway has some understated potential to create a really interesting narrative. Like, Jay's whole thing is that he's insecure and worried that people will leave him. So I feel like sure, yeah, itd be cathartic for him to find closure knowing his parents had a good reason for abandoning him. BUT, I think it would be more compelling if Jay's arc featured him accepting that yes, sometimes people just leave you. You might never know why, and you might never get the chance to find out. Sometimes things happen and you never get proper closure. But it's still possible for you to move forward and find happiness in spite of that. Jay finding his mom and learning that she didnt abandon him intentionally is a satisfying story, but an easy one. Whereas Jay learning to accept that his mom is gone and he'll never know why is a much more nuanced one, in my opinion. (I just wish s12 had actually given it the proper development it needed)

Idk. I agree that the Libber plotline couldve added a lot more depth to Prime Empire overall, but I also feel like they could have very easily given that season depth even without her being there.

That’s a riot. Also I like this aspect of Cole’s character. He’s uncomfortable with dancing and singing because of his rough family life, and expectations in theater be torture (I should know). But when he’s allowed to just be himself with none of those expectations, he’s perfectly content with it. Kai? Not so much of a dancing fan. At least either he’s not a fan doing it in public or he’s not a fan doing it with Cole. Maybe it’s both of those.

Hey, I know this isn't usually a Ninjago blog, But I have something cool to show you Ninjago fans. Me and my brother regularly watch Ninjago together and it wasn't until recently I found out that some Ninjago fans are having a hard time watching the full series because of streaming. So I'm going to show you all how me and brother watch the full series completely free! With no illegal downloads or sketchy sites. This could also be helpful for those just getting into the series. Enjoy!

First head to Tubi! They have seasons 1 through 7! Everything from the pilots to Hands of Time.

Next, head to Pluto! They have seasons 8 and 9. Sons of Garmadon and Hunted!

Next head to Cartoon Network Asia! Don't be fooled by the title. The episodes ARE in English. They have seasons 10 through 15. March of the Oni, Secrets of Forbidden Spinjitsu: Fire Chapter, Secrets of Forbidden Spinjitsu: Ice Chapter, Prime Empire and Master of the Mountain! Although, a chronological list of the episodes order may by ideal, since a few are out of order on the site.

Finally, head to YouTube, for seasons 16 through 18. The Island, Seabound, and Crystalized.

Okay so we all know that iconic sequence from s12 where Lloyd volunteers to face off against a digital replica of someone from his past. I also am not the first person to point out that if you pay attention to the opponent selection screen, it briefly displays Garmadon - specifically, the evil Oni four-arm-adon version.

But what if Lloyd did have to face Garmadon, except not the evil one? What if he had to fight an avatar of sensei Garmadon? An avatar resembling the version of his father that loved him?

And then that avatar shames him for fighting. "Why are you hurting me, son? I thought you loved me."

Anyway. Just food for thought :)
