Avatar Lloyd redesign from the prime empire season!

What always bothered me with the Lloyd avatar design is that (in comparison to the Jay and Kai avatar designs) he had the exact same colour palette as usual, and in my eyes looked very recognisable,which kinda goes against the whole reason why he bought the avatar? because it was supposed to be a disguise?

So I decided to redesign it and make him look less recognisable and less like a typical Lloyd design, and feel like this would work better as a disguise for him compared to the original design

Went for a sort of rockstar vibe with a mostly black and gold colour scheme and I really like how it turned out! Surprisingly

prime empire au where the superstar rockin jay that the ninja meet acts like jay, thinks like jay, but fundamentally isn’t jay. ssrj is an npc, a decoy built by unigami to stop the ninja from searching for the real jay (who’s being used as a glorified battery) within the game.

of course, to make ssrj the perfect clone, even he doesn’t realise he’s an npc. he thinks he’s the real jay, and his ‘powers’ are fragments of the real jay’s lightning. even’s though ssrj’s memories of his life outside the game feel like they’re photographs, with himself behind the camera, not in the moment - all his memories are like that, so isn’t that what memories are supposed to feel like? 

ssrj is the ideal jay - a little bit too much like jay, perfect in the sense that he’s what the ninja (and everyone else) assume what jay is like. ssrj is jay without his deepest insecurities and darkest experiences, and therefore he’s jay without everything that makes him jay.

eventually, the ninja beat the game, and ‘defeat’ unigami - if unigami can make a digital clone of jay, faking his own destruction is laughably easy, especially when he’s got the element of lightning strengthening him. and yes, i said destruction - ssrj never had those doubts about his past, so why would he share them with unigami? 

ssrj and the other ninja continue their lives, blissfully unaware whilst the real jay is left to rot inside prime empire as unigami regains his strength. 

and if nya notices something slightly different about her yang, something slightly off about his smile or the delay when he’s reminiscing - well, she still died in prime empire, and the last time that happened jay changed. and if this change seems to be for the better, why should she complain?

here's a very unpopular opinion that i would probably get bashed at for bc my hands are literally not capable of arting rn:

season 12 was irrelevant to the rest of the seasons.

literally, just remove it and you'd still understand what's happening (excluding the fact lloyd mentioned they got cubed at the start of season 13)

i don't see any use to it at all except giving us jaya content, don't get me wrong im actually a big jaya shipper but it literally has no other purpose than that

if the writers had went with the old concept ive heard of, where we see jay's mother holding a baby jay and running from who knows what, the season wouldve been much more relevant and would've given us some idea on who jay's mother ACTUALLY is and why she left him. it was a chance they didnt take, which resulted in us still not being sure if libber is actually his mom or not. and we might actually never know anymore since dragons rising is now out

its honestly really frustrating, of course im not saying the season was that bad but if i had to choose between watching season 11 or season 12, i'd choose season 11 even if season 11 is hated by the fandom from what ive seen. and that really says something, since im not too fond of season 11 either. i just dont like how they had the opportunity to give jay some more development instead of being just "the idiotic one" and didnt take it.

but hey, atleast we got superstar rockin' jay, right?

I think Zane Julien is neurodivergent (head canon if you will).

Being a nindroid i know it doesnt make sense, but i like to think that his dad was autistic and gave him similar traits to himself.

Zane is often talked about as different or strange, but not necessarily in a bad way, he has some special interests (in cooking and robotics), he doesnt get a lot of jokes, sarcasm and doesnt pick up on some cues.

I think a lot of episodes either showcase how zane is either responsible, unique, dead, sad, smart, or a good fighter. "Ninjago confidential" shows him in light of being intelligent and having a big intrest for research and obsessing over a type of film, its his most human episode i have seen thus far, but he was not being very understood by pixal until she saw his point a view. Also, i just really like that episode.
