As funny as all the memes about Christofern being another child in Garmadon's eyes are, I feel like it misses the point of his existence. He's not another child to Garmadon. He's the same child. Christofern IS Lloyd. This is pretty explicitly shown in the way Garmadon talks about it. Christofern represents Garmadon's relationship with Lloyd and again, as funny as all the jokes are I feel like they ignore that.

Consider, version of Crystallized opening (the part where they bring Nya back specifically) but she doesn’t regain her memories and genuinely believed she’s always been the ocean. A version of Nya that- as far as she knows- was forcibly separated from herself and shoved into an uncomfortable physical form, surrounded by unfamiliar people who keep calling her a name she doesn’t recognize nor does she want.

Ya'll listen. You can headcanon Mr E as being whoever you want. Cryptor, Mindroid, some random other droid, literally just himself, whatever. But none of those are ever going to have the same impact as Echo being Mr E. Mr E has a beef with Zane, always has. And sure, Cryptor or Mini or whatever would love to beat Zane's ass, but it wouldn't be nearly as personal. They've always seen themselves as better, more high-tech than him. They've always been his enemy, always hated him. But Echo? Echo was just a replacement Zane. Unlike the s3 Nindroids, Echo was seen as an inferior version of Zane, rather than a superior version. He was built by their father to fill a Zane-shaped hole in Julien's heart, and when he inevitably couldn't, he was cast away, banished to the basement for the sin of being himself and not his brother. He seems perfectly chipper when we meet the guy in s6, but it's perfectly reasonable to say that over time he could harden. Grow bitter, resentful of the brother in who's image he was built. Cryptor or Mindroid could harbor some hatred for the original droid, sure, but Mr E does not wear the Mask of Hatred, or even the Mask of Deception, for all his tricks and secrets. He wears the Mask of Vengeance. What better vengeance than becoming more high-tech, more advanced, more powerful than the so-called "Perfect" Zane? Than destroying the son his father loved so much more than him? The SOG offer something that he previously never had. They give him a purpose that separates him from his brother, they give him a sense of belonging, family, even, however twisted it may be. He failed as a son of Julien. So he became of Son of Garmadon. And how fitting of him to fail in that as well? To once again be too small to meet his "father's" expectations, to once again be cast aside, torn apart? And how much more would his fight with Zane mean? Zane screaming, begging to know who he is, shocked to discover that he is also a Nindroid. Even more shocked to realize that perhaps his father is not the man he believed him to be. "No one deserves to be held prisoner. Not even a monster." That's what Zane told his father. And Julien was a monster, for giving life to a young boy only to lock him away. An innocent child, held prisoner, rotting and rusting until he became a monster. Until he sought nothing more than vengeance on the people who left him there.

In this scene, Nya unknowingly insulted her brother, who sacrificed everything for her.

Nya says Kai won't understand her, but has she ever tried to understand him? She wanted her parents to leave, but didn't Nya think Kai didn't want that? No, why would she do that, because what matters is what she feels, not others.

This scene. This 26 second moment fucks me up so much and I need to tell you about it.

So what I see here is Lloyd being upset at the concept of other ninja replacing them. And holy shit??? Is this like a fourth wall breaking moment?? Is he aware of the fact that this is the last season of ninjago and their existence as The Ninja(tm) may be in jeopardy?? Or is this the writers ensuring us that there will be no new ninja bc that’s silly or w/e???

This scene is raw af. Him yelling is so genuine and heartbreaking. Lloyd is so distraught about this he is genuinely concerned and upset. It feels to me like he is directly asking if he and the other ninja will last. Like their time could be ending and other ninja could replace them. And that is so possible considering the fact that yknow this is the last season of ninjago. We don’t know what comes next and it feels like Lloyd doesn’t either and he is attempting to voice this concern. And he is so fucking upset about this it just kills me man.

But also is this season attempting to make fun of the idea of new ninja existing while assuring the audience that new ninja will not happen? Bc the "new ninja" in this season are portrayed as total dicks and terrible people. They don’t do any real ninja stuff and they’re just…….so obnoxious. So like are the writers trying to tell us that the concept of new ninja existing is silly and dumb? Idk man I have no idea.

My main question is this. Is Lloyd self aware?? Does he know??? I doubt it but god it feels like it. Maybe I’m just projecting really hard idk. This is all my personal interpretation of this moment and my feelings on it and I'm so curious if anyone else sees the same thing or has any other interpretations of this. Idk tho i feel slightly insane for posting this

Yeah the weird water snake worshiping cult is sacrificing your boyfriend by tying him up and throwing him out to sea, in hopes the water snake will eat him and leave them alone. Yeah we tried to save him, but they had to send someone, and it’s not really our fault he was being the most annoying. No he’s really happy with the attention, gladly willing to go, apparently oblivious to the fact he’s being sent out to die. Oh look, he’s realized, oh well it’s too late now.
