Hey if you have big noticeable rashes/hives due to eczema, psoriasis, or even allergies, or for any reason at all: I love you. You deserve to exist in public. You don't have to cover up to make other people more comfortable.

also I know ppl hate vetting ingredients, but also want to know what I mean when I say Bad Ingredients, and I’m generally talking about the stuff that’s pretty high on the “might irritate skin” to “I WILL give you cancer and that IS A PROMISE” scale. this is the list I refer to when ingredient checking

#I know everyone hates it when I talk about irritants and carcinogens in beauty products. hey. I don't care. It's 3am #and I used to get hives every time I showered and now I don't. explain that atheists #there are one or two on here that are less bad and some that are basically biohazards and I'm amazed that #they get put into products that are meant to go all over your skin #but I try and avoid all of them if I can... #I know fragrance is difficult to avoid but it's the Mystery Boy bc fragrance itself isn't ingredient #so much as it is a catch-all term for a mixture of [redacted] used to make the fragrance #so it automatically is suspicious bc its ingredients are essentially Legally Undisclosed and I don't trust like that #so a lot of the stuff I try to go for is unscented completely #it just takes the guesswork out for me #sergle.txt #you can google these individual ingredients if you want to look more into exactly what risks they bring to the table #but this is just My List

Hey does anyone know of a site like CurlScan (a site that tells you if a product is Curly Girl approved) for Rosacea???? I'm just so overwhelmed looking through the ingredients on every single product I go to buy. I just want to wear sunscreen without my face feeling like it's on fire and be able to type in the name of the product to find out whether it's going to give me hives/acne/a rash/etc

My god everything is really paying off huh. yes I do still have to crack and clunk my hips regularly but I’m in less pain overall and after one extra half dose of antihistamines and a metric boatload of water, you know what I did for the first time in years today? RAN. I RAN at speed 6, 7, 8, and 9 for 30-120 seconds at a time between speed walks, and my god I did it without feeling as bad as I used to. I could actually do it and I only got to 60% symptom intensity instead of 120%

#this is the only time im gonna be tmi about something like this but I have a very bumpy and angry rash #going down the entirety of my inner arm ans im really scared its hot and painful to the touch and I haven't done anything today #I'm scared I ate something or put something on my skin. or that there's something autoimmune going on #my moms gonna put cream on it and it's gonna make it worse and I'm literally so beyond scared this hurts. I don't get rashes. #I get hives from my rats (allergy) but I was holding them in my hands and I didn't touch anything until I washed them twice #was it something I ate?? idk. I checked the foods to make sure I wasn't sensitive #sorry this is kinda like an emergency because I'm in pain and itchy and ow. #should I go to the er or something?? or ask my mom for help?? idk

I went to the dentist and was asked about my benzocaine allergy. I told them about how I usually react: hives and swelling.

"Oh, that's an unusual reaction," my dentist said. "Normally your skin sloughs off."

He meant just the top layer, of course, but fuck, my imagination had me thinking Indiana Jones levels of face melting until he corrected himself.
