EA Kelp as Edible Raw Meat for Vampires (Nona Dried Food Mod REQUIRED)

If you use the Nraas Hybrid mod to make mermaid-vampire sims, it's a headache getting them to eat a effing thing that's not plasma-based. So I took EA's Kelp mesh and slapped Nona's script on it, to make it "raw food" that can fill a vampire's Thirst need. (I HIGHLY recommend also using Nona's other raw foods--there's a nice juicy fish vamps can eat, which I used in my IWTV post here.)

Severinka Hippocampus as IP EP Jetski (IP EP REQUIRED)

(The harness mesh was shamelessly ripped/reshaped from Mermaidia's Seahorse Taxi. I didn't place the handles as well as I probably should have, but oh frikkin well.) I was too lazy to make this fully recolorable (you can kinda sorta recolor it, since I put the textures in the Multiplier not the Overlay)--but it does come in 4 color variations:

TheVintageSim Fringe Hammock REDONE (Functional Loveseat)

I've been wanting this decor hammock as a functional loveseat for frikkin ever. This gameplay gave me the perfect excuse to bite the bullet and make it. The mesh is rescaled to fit EA loveseats. Fully recolorable, comes in multiple variations, like the original.

Pocci's Jellyfish

I was so jealous that Pocci remade their TS3 Jellyfish ceiling lights for TS4 without the obnoxious strings dangling from the ceiling, so I went and made their Jellyfish 01 & 02 stringless myself. Then I made the Jellyfish as a Teddy Bear. The clipping & joints aren't great, but it works and I'm tired.

Venus Girdle Inspired Table Light

It's amazing, the kind of IRL deep-sea critters you learn about, just by reading mermaid fanfiction.

Wall Mosaics 1x5

They come in a bunch of variations. Two are based on IRL portions of the Madaba Map, for no good reason, other than I just needed a medievalesque mosaic map #ForReasons.

Ivy as Ceiling Light

I made sure there were no backfaces on the ivy mesh, so you could still see inside the lot from a bird's eye view. (I used these with the TW3 Bulb Lights I converted here.)

Simszoo Tree REDONE (RECOLORABLE as Outdoor Light)

I made this tree recolorable and an outfoor light--I wish I knew how to make only the leaves glowe, not the whole frikkin trunk. Ah well.

Pocci Sakura Vase REDONE (Translucent)

All I did was change the texture of the flowers so they were crystal/see-through.

You ever have one of those weeks where you’re just like... I think I’m gonna make a 20+ piece set of Maxis Match Polynesian themed cc for no particular reason? No? Just me then.

25/09 - Phu Quoc day 3 - tour of the South

So I got up feeling quite groggy this morning, it was early and I couldn’t sleep until late last night. I knew the tour was collecting me at 9am and I needed to collect my laundry before then so I got showered and got out of the door at 8:30. I went completely the wrong way to the laundry lady and ended up getting back to my bungalow just before 9 so had a sweaty dash to reception.

We had this small tour bus for 20 odd people and there were 4 of us in total on today’s tour so it was good because we got more attention from the guide. We left my place with a Korean guy already on board, we picked Charlotte up and then we collected a Vietnamese girl straight from the airport!

The tour really was pretty whistle stop.

We first went to a pearl farm, which in actual fact a department store full of pearls where we were very attentively followed by a sales assistant, we left to have a cigarette as we weren’t in the market for buying pearls today.

Next was the pepper farm, this was slightly better as we saw the trees that pepper grows on, after a brief explanation we then were shown to the pepper shop to taste shop and buy if we wanted.

Then was the Sim Wine factory. This is a honey wine I think, made from the pollen of a plant. We had lots of tasters and then a shot of Sim liquor and this is before 10:30am

After that was the bee farm. This was fun, we had these bee hats on, saw and tasted the honey from the honeycomb which was delicious and then tasted the different honeys in the shop.

Next up was a waterfall and I cannot remember what it was called. We had 45mins to have a walk around a nice park and climb up to a waterfall that we couldn’t actually find, we googled a photo of it and it would have looked great though. Below is a little stream we thought could have been it.

So we’ve done quite a lot so far already right?

Now we move on to a beautiful Pagoda, it’s a Buddhist temple and was wonderful to walk around, people were praying and it was a nice peaceful place.

Thankfully the next stop was lunch on Sao beach which is a beautiful picturesque beach, we stayed there for a couple of hours. We were joined by a couple of hornets at one point after lunch so we sat on the beach and took a dip in the cool sea water and then had an ice cream!

After we got back on the bus we sort of thought it was hometime but alas, we were off to the fish sauce factory! It absolutely honked when we got off the bus and it only got worse as we got nearer. Again we had a short explanation on which fish go into fish sauce (anchovies) and how long they are sat stewing for (8-20months maybe?) and then we were sent over to the shop to try and buy lots of variations of fish sauce or dried fish. You aren’t actually allowed to take the fish sauce off the island on an aeroplane as a passenger because of the potent smell so that gives you an idea of how bad it was. In the shop we saw dried everything, jellyfish, seahorses, prawns, and even a set of seal’s testicles attached to a stick.

Our final stop was coconut prison, there were mixed messages here because I’d read up on it before coming and he gave conflicting information on it so have left knowing probably less than I went in knowing but it was interesting seeing the torture methods nonetheless and we escaped through the tunnel that 21 prisoners escaped through back in...ages ago.

The tour was over. We were knackered. The guide asked us to write him a tripadvisor review and watched me do mine which was cringey.

Charlotte invited me back to her pool and she is staying in a 5star hotel so it sounded great to me, we chilled for a while and then walked down to see how much a massage on the beach was, it was 200k for a full body, hour long massage which is approx £6.50. The massage ladies had a couple of guys on the go at the time so we went into the hotel grounds next to them which we ended up buying a beer at and sat at the swim up bar whilst we waited. We had our massages as the sun went down and saw a dog get buried in sand by some kids which was cute.

We were both tired by the end of the massage so I’m now sat watching a bit of Netflix and trying not to lie on my back which is really burnt! I didn’t even think I was in the sun that long enough in between bus journeys!

We think we might go squid fishing tomorrow night so will let you know how that goes!

8. The Crack Shack – Encinitas

沒想到這家在聖地牙哥以美味炸雞出名的餐廳Crack Shack也會被推薦為親子餐廳吧！沒錯，一到Crack Shack在Encinitas的分店就會被它超大的公雞雕像吸引住，充滿童趣的雕像、還有模仿披頭四的經典背景海報，讓人忍不住就想在這兒拍照打卡。Crack Shack 的炸雞是使用在地優質食材，恰到好處的香鹹與令人難以置信的酥脆完美結合，讓你甚至不用蘸取醬汁就能吃下一整份炸雞。另外，戶外有個沙坑區、室內也有丟沙包和mini-golf區，孩子們在這兒邊吃美味的炸雞邊玩耍，享受輕鬆自在的美式午後～！

9. Viewpoint Brewing Company

這個於去年夏天在Del Mar Fairgrounds旁邊的San Dieguito Lagoon潟湖隆重開幕的釀酒餐館 Viewpoint Brewing Company，可別想一提到釀酒廠就覺得孩子不宜，裡頭7000平方英呎的空間可是有許多適合孩子們的喔～！譬如戶外用餐區域除了可欣賞潟湖美景、遠眺野生動物鳥類自然保護區的水鳥們，還有超有造型的鞦韆、丟沙包、ladder ball等，室內也有滾球遊戲台等可供全家娛樂呢！餐點如mac n’ cheese、薯條、漢堡、烤雞翅、三明治等也都很適合孩子們喔～！

10.Farmer & The Seahorse

這個在Torrey Pines的「Farmer & The Seahorse」是個大人、小孩，周末、平時，都能找到放鬆愉悅的餐廳。室內外都有足夠的座位和娛樂空間，譬如戶外停著一台超大拖曳車、還有寬敞的丟沙包區，室內除了提供許多桌遊讓孩子們玩耍外，最酷的是還停著一台露營拖車呢，而且不是只有裝飾而已，這可說是獨立包廂、可在裡頭用餐或開會呢～整體用餐氣氛非常休閒輕鬆，而且綠植覆蓋比較多，在這樣環境裡又不需要弄小孩…是不是會讓您覺得身心都舒暢起來啦？

11. Panama 66

您知道在Balboa Park裡頭的聖地牙哥藝術博物館（The San Diego Museum of Art ）藏有一個小酒館呢Pannama 66嗎？這個小酒館位在藝術博物館雕塑花園（Marcy S. 12. Classics Malt Shop

可別小看這間位於Midway 感覺老派的美式餐廳喔！「Classics Malt Shop」這家主打20世紀50年代復古風的美式餐廳，可是聖地牙哥擠進Yelp全美百大必去美食餐廳的唯二餐廳（另一家為「Sunny Side Kitchen」)，它的漢堡、熱狗、奶昔等都頗受好評。Kids menu包括迷你漢堡、熱狗、烤奶酪等，甜點如冰淇淋凍飲、香蕉船、漂浮沙士等，都會讓孩子們吃不停的喔～～

14. Officine Buona Forchetta
