Since we are still stuck waiting for the baby’s arrival, we decided to spend some time in nature today – on town really is a beautiful place – we did our last pregnancy photoshoot, using our usual photographer due to Caleb’s special photographic needs. As always, she does an amazing job on our pictures.

Hopefully we won’t have to wait much longer to meet our little starfish.

“The Collector” Dr R. Stone

Welcome to the story of Rosetto Stone (get it?) the most prolific and well-known collector in the simverse.

Have you ever wondered who donated all those gems and fossils to the Willow Creek museum? Who was the brave sim that first traversed the jungles of Selvadorada to fill their local museum with precious artifacts? What was the name of the sim who went where no sim has ever gone before, to the stars of Sixam to bring back out of this world discoveries, to the shores of Brindleton Bay all the way to the deserts of Oasis Springs? Well…

Dr R. Stone has been fascinated with collectibles ever since he was an inquisitive toddler and now, as an adult sim tired of his mundane life and the struggles of working a boring career just for a few simoleons, he has decided to embark on as many grand adventures as possible - to find all the collectibles that he can.

His journey begins in: the deep and dangerous jungles of Selvadorada, where it is rumoured that hidden in the undergrowth lies a hoard of unimaginable treasures, with temples to tackle and local cuisines to indulge in.

Sunset Died - VJ / ???

Wonders

After VJ had finished talking to Morgana, he set off to hunt. By now he knew a few regions where there were a few deers. The sun was setting and his eyes had to be extra vigilant now.

And even the last rays of sun touching the horizon in the distance still make the autumn trees glow. Soon you might not be able to see your own hand in front of your eyes due to the darkness. But VJ didn't just want to go in search of a wild animal, he had recently found an old tree trunk with a bees' nest. And in the evening, the little insects are known to be calmer and less aggressive.

VJ is used to walking a lot, so he doesn't mind walking long distances. And his eyes work surprisingly well. A little further up a hill, there was a small, young stag that was about to eat some dry roots. VJ positioned himself so that the wind would not carry his scent to the animal and kept perfectly still. "Now it's your turn... Sorry".

He didn't hesitate for long, by now he had such a steady hand that he rarely missed his target. There were no distractions, so the shot was so precise that the animal fell down the slope after the hit. The little buck tried to get up, but the shot went straight through its neck. "Yes, oh boy! OK, I'll come and get you later, I just want to check on the bees".

The old tree trunk that housed a large bees' nest was far out, almost on the outskirts of the city. But people like to go that far to get something sweet. But to his regret, there was no honey to be had. Perhaps someone else had already helped themselves to it. But the bees like it when you leave them something, a bit of pollen… But then he suddenly heard a noise…

It rustled in the bushes, so VJ assumed that it was an animal. So he reached for his bow again and nocked the arrow. He drew the bow to shoot... "What the..."/ "for heaven's sake, please don't shoot!...". It clearly wasn't an animal, animals can't talk, usually... "Unbelievable, did you really want to shoot at us, VJ?"

VJ was completely surprised. He knew the people standing in front of him, at least he recognized some of them… "You can put that fucking thing down now, boy…" Of course VJ lowered his bow again. "Sorry, I just thought there was a bear or a fox…". The man with the hat was a little annoyed "very funny, there's no bears out here, boy"/"hey, who are you, Chuck Norris without muscles?"/"tz, if I didn't have a cracked rib, I'd laugh!"

The blonde woman being carried spoke in a trembling voice. "Is… Is that VJ?"/ "Yes, sweetie… He's standing in front of us with a bow and arrow"/ "Uh, VJ, can you… Take us home"/ "Blair?…"/ "I'm so tired…"/ "Are those chickens?". Again, the man with hat spoke in a strong voice. "She asked you a question"/ "um, sorry… Yes, of course, follow me, maybe to the hospital first?"/ "Yes, a good idea…", the other blonde woman answered…

The annoyed excited man's voice became calmer again. "It won't be long now, darling… then we'll be home again… Or what's left of it…"/ "Can you still carry me, Cy? You're in pain…"/ "I said I'd carry you until I can't anymore…". Blair cuddled her head against his chest, "hnhn, Chuck Norris, see, I told you so…".

As Arthur made his way towards the executioner, his eyes met Dorthea's gaze in the crowd. In that fleeting moment, a mixture of sorrow, regret, and anger surged through him. Dorthea's voice rang out, filled with remorse and sorrow, as she expressed her apologies. However, consumed by bitterness and a sense of betrayal, Arthur lashed out, cruelly disowning her in front of the watching eyes. Dorthea's heart shattered, tears streaming down her face as she recoiled from his hurtful words.

With a heavy heart, Arthur positioned himself on the guillotine, his head lowered in a final act of submission. The weight of his actions and the consequences that had led him to this point pressed upon him, overwhelming him with a sense of irreversible finality. Dorthea, unable to bear witnessing the brutal end, averted her gaze, unable to watch as the blade swiftly descended, severing his head cleanly from his body. The lifeless form was cast aside, discarded like refuse, a grim reminder of the tragic fate that had befallen him.

The crowd stood in stunned silence, the gravity of the moment settling upon them. Whispers of disbelief and sorrow murmured through the onlookers as they absorbed the chilling spectacle before them. The life of a once-prominent prince had been abruptly extinguished, leaving behind a legacy tainted by betrayal and tragic consequences.

June 21

I somehow managed to get in more of a nap then I thought I would, when I woke up it was shortly before midnight. I had Caleb use his phone to check on Dakota, Lily and Lilith. They were all doing well, no sign of James. I took another bath with some help from Caleb, it was getting harder and harder for me to move without the fear of falling. I was feeling unsteady, so I had Caleb walk with me a bit before I sat down on my very purple ball for some exercises Annalise recommended to help with labor.

I finally couldn't take it anymore.

I screamed in agony from a contraction and ordered Caleb to help me change into something not only cooler but to help me get rid of my pants. After that I slowly and stubbornly made me way to our bed and leaned back carefully into the birthing pillows.

Caleb seemed worried as he lovingly held my hand, placing kisses on it. He was whispering something but I couldn't make it out. We had Annalise first check the baby's heartbeat, which was good and strong.  Then she finally told me news I wanted to hear, I was almost fully dilated.

I reared up, yanking off my headband in agitation during yet another contraction. "Get this baby out of me!"

Caleb placed his hands on my face and tried to console me though part of me wanted to cut off his favorite appendage at that moment.

The feeling passed when he lovingly kissed my forehead. "I have never loved you more than I love you right now. You are about to bring our child into the world. You are truly remarkable."

I cried out of pain and out of all the emotions and thoughts that were swirling around inside me like a hurricane. Annalise asked to check me again. My body was finally ready, mentally and emotionally I had been ready yesterday.

Caleb helped me onto my knees, we had decided he would be the one to help guide our child out as long as there were no complications. Annalise would be close by just in case and to instruct Caleb on what to do.

After what felt like hours of pushing and screaming on my part, it finally happened. We heard the first cry of our child, Annalise helped me sit back on the bed as I almost collapsed from exhaustion and emotion.

After nine months she finally arrived. Our little starfish, Este Evie Vatore. Named after both our mothers. I can't wait for all our loved one to meet her.
