Winter brings two new arrivals to the Hollowbreast family! Minnie and Osden Hollowbreast join little Saanvi in the nursery.

Latika feels more confident during this pregnancy, and is so happy that it has gone smoothly. Lloyd, however, starts worrying about supporting his new family. He had always wanted to be on the side of the law, even if it wasn't always on his side. Still, now that he has a family of his own he can't help but thinking that was just a childish fantasy...

Saanvi is learning words, enough to scream "Da-da" whenever Lloyd returns from the fields.

She is even toddling around, nearly walking on her own two feet!

Latika has been enjoying doing her daughter's hair, brushing it carefully as she recites all the words little Saanvi should learn.

Mr. Lace had been a gracious host, but the Hollowbreasts truly feel more comfortable in their own home, the one they built together.

The Hollowbreast Homestead is still simple, but it has two rooms and a good amount of crops. They were even able to trade for a mare, a well mannered Appaloosa who Lloyd has named Constellation. Saanvi is growing a little more every day, and Latika enjoys working their little shop out front where they sell what they harvested, including the oranges they preserve.

Meanwhile Lloyd is finally working his own land, able to reap the rewards of his labor. Latika has never seen him more happy.

Now that Saanvi is born and Latika has recovered, she is fully dedicated to get them to set out on their own. They are ready and there is only so long that they can impose of Mr. Lace, especially when he has a child of his own on the way! Lloyd doesn't mind taking time in the afternoon to give Latika time to make her own preparations before they switch off in the evenings so he can prepare more wood.

In fact, he wouldn't trade it for the world, her little fingers, her toes! The way she looks just so perfect.

When it starts, she first feels the panic, the fear coursing through her.

"She's early!" She says to the room, the only one in the parlor being Jeremy Teeth. He gestures to the couch: "Lay down, please Mrs. Hollowbreast. I'll get Lloyd." When it is over, breathing hard in her bed with only Henriqueta next to her, the house is so still for that moment that she can hear Lloyd pacing outside. Then Saanvi begins to cry. And she cries herself, in relief, full of love. "Lloyd! Lloyd come here and meet your daughter."
