Aiden: It's hard to know where to begin, really. I suppose I'll start from the day of my abduction from Earth. Aiden: There I was, minding my own business, when-- Rio: What were you doing on Earth? Aiden: Huh? Rio: Why were you on Earth? You're not one of those Sixamite probe enthusiasts, are you? Aiden: I--no! Of course not! But me being on Earth is a long story for another time. Rio: But-- Aiden: Anyway, I was on Earth conferring with the local inhabitants when all of a sudden… Aiden: I was hit with a psionic blast from an indeterminate location. Aiden: It wasn't quite strong enough to render me unconscious but it felt like someone was certainly trying. Naturally, something like that could only come from another Sixamite. Aiden: My first thought was that the cargo ship that had stranded me all those years ago had finally returned and I was going to be rescued-- Rio: You were dumped off a cargo ship? Were you a stowaway or something? Aiden: … Roman: Rio, will you let the man speak? You're getting too caught up in the details. Rio: Details are important when we're talking about a potential means of escape. Roman: I don't think he's gotten there yet. You need to be patient. Rio: Excuse you! I have plenty of patience, he's just being long-winded for no reason. Roman: You always do this! Bedtime stories used to take hours! Aiden: We're going to be here all night…

Ahh! This is not an easy one, there are a lot of sims I enjoy! But here are some of my top picks:

@papermint-airplane - I absolutely adore Aiden Ayy, the neurotic, awkward, color-pink-obsessed alien. The way he is written and his interactions with other sims just crack me up. If he's not panicking or nervous, he's got a happy little smile that is honestly heart-warming. It usually seems to be when he's wearing a sufficiently pink outfit, and I feel that on a spiritual level. He's currently trapped participating in a bachelor reality tv show, which is just… it's perfect. I'm afraid if I were in the sims universe, I'd be exactly the target audience for this show. Poor guy 😂

@aspl1tl1fe - I love reading Conquer's story. It's relaxing to follow this sim on his journey, currently staying on a tropical island and just living his life. It really feels like you're going along on his day with him, and his personality comes across honest and sweet. Plus, he is an animal lover! He's almost always with his pittie, Neji, and I can practically hear the cutesy talk and belly pats with their interactions. A lot of care has been given to the setting and CAS edits for Conquer's story and it really shines in each shot.

@descendantdragfi - Hecate is such an elegant looking sim. I love seeing her travels, trying new foods, and wishing I could do something similar. The other thing I have to mention here is descendantdragfi has a talent for creating sims that just blows me away- by that I mean, every single one of them looks like a different person. I admire this, because I often suffer from same-face syndrome creating my sims. The care taken in the creation of each one astonishes me. Their body shapes, facial structure, skin details, even their teeth.. everything is unique. And often they are older sims, who I feel never get enough love, and each one's face tells a story.

I saw this ask while I was working and thought long and hard about who my favorite sims were from other simmers.

Firstly, I'd like to mention @emperorofthedark's Pleasant family. I thoroughly enjoy the way they are writing the dynamic between these characters, and I specifically love Angela Pleasant's character design. When I see shots of her, I see a broken, confused woman weighed down by the death of family members and plagued by troubling dreams. There is such intention in their work. One of this author's biggest talents is being able to express emotion through story, visuals, and sound. I want to learn more about Angela and see what surprises the exceptional @emperorofthedark has in store for us.

Secondly, I'd like to mention @papermint-airplane's character Aiden Ayy. I love aliens, and I've thought about the way they've written this character while daydreaming numerous times. I'm a big sucker for klutzy, cute boys, and Aiden's himbo vibe immediately captured my interest. I think what I enjoy most about Aiden is @papermint-airplane's sheer love for this character. From what I know, this has been a long-standing character they've developed over the course of a many years and their love for Aiden shows through their writing in his Bachelor challenge. I can't wait to see more of that bug-eyed baby, and also see if a Bachelorette will manage to court him successfully. Maybe he'll be captured for a reality TV dating show thrice?

*I'm going to throw my headcanon for Aiden here. I honestly can't help but imagine him with Viridia because I love the whole confident starlet meets neurotic himbo vibe. I knew the second Viridia stepped on screen and said it was my lucky day that she was my favorite contestant.

Last, but certainly not least, I'd like to mention @spaceapples98's Cathie and Parker Gallagher. I must say, I've always been soft for older individuals because I was raised by my grandparents, and these two are no exception to that. I love seeing their elderly shenanigans on the beach. I hope I miss the post on my dashboard when they finally pass away because I'll feel emotional. They remind me of salty, summer days with my grandparents on the beach. The Gallagher family feels very warm. I also really love @spaceapples98's screenshots and way of positioning their images in posts. They are all exceptionally pretty and dreamy!

It was a pleasure to gush about some of my favorite simmers and sims, and I look forward to seeing more of what you all post.

Aisling called me heartless. But…I'm…I'm not. No! I'm not! I love Roman! I love him so much, I'll do anything for him.

He's given up so much of his life already because of me, and I won't let him give up any more. Not if there's something I can do about it.

It was always just the two of us against the world after Mom left.

Roman never got to have a normal life. He was too busy taking care of me.

He was always there for me. Always.

And I repaid him by getting him trapped on some stupid rock in the middle of nowhere. Some sister I am.

So the last time was a failure. So it literally blew up in my face. So what?

I'll try again and again a thousand times if it means even the slightest chance of success. I'll make up for the trouble I caused.

The way everyone looks at him now, because of me…he doesn't deserve that. They can call me whatever they want but all Roman did was believe in me.

I let him down before, but now I have another chance. The portal WILL work! I won't blow it this time.

I WILL get Roman home, back to the life he deserves. Fuck everyone else. Fuck Woeford. I don't care what happens to any of them.

Average Hours of Sleep: Aiden doesn't actually need sleep! He meditates to restore his brain power but sleep isn't necessary for him. He's a lot like D&D elves in that way. He can choose to sleep if he wants to, though, because dreams are fun and he looks cute when he's eepy. 🥺

Dogs or Cats: Yes. Any animal at all, really. Aiden is fascinated with them.

Random Fact: Aiden is based on a Sim I created in the Sims 2 when I was 18 for a Bachelorette Challenge. It was, predictably, a disaster, and the poor baby kept having mental breakdowns. I decided it was because he was new to Earth and the stress of all the unfamiliarity wore heavily on him, but it was definitely because I didn't know how to cheat needs at the time. He got a visit from the invisible psychiatrist more than once, you know? It became a character trait! Aiden, the nervous alien who just wants love. 👽💚

Tomorrow's Rogue Town update is going to be a little late. I'm not feeling super well tonight and you all know how I am with a queue. I don't have one. 😅 I have a story update planned out already but I'm not feeling up to playing to get the images, so it'll have to be postponed from my regular posting time to sometime after work tomorrow. There will be an update tomorrow, though, no matter what I have to do to make it happen, so if you're following along with it, you'll still have something to look at. I promised myself I wouldn't miss a day for as long as possible so unless the mothership finally comes back for me tomorrow after the 37-year-long bureaucratic oversight that left me stranded on this hellscape of a planet, I'll be keeping to that.
