Since it's ace week, I thought I'd drop the friendly reminder that not all aces are sex repulsed. Some of us enjoy sex or the idea of sex, it's not "allo bullshit" to be sex neutral/positive. I love sex repulsed aces but it's fucking shitty to have the community try to invalidate my asexuality because I'm not sex repulsed

Obviously sex favourable aces need to be careful if posting about sex related things under asexual tags (and I dont follow the tags so I dont know what's happening under them that's upsetting to sex-repulsed aces), but it would nice to be reminded that I'm valid for being both ace and into sex/nsfw stuff

Asexuality is a giant spectrum of experiences and we dont need to invalidate each other's preferences

Having Tenko run a primarily woman's shelter during the literal apocalypse which forces her to see actual genuine families that she in her heart cannot bare to turn away when she has resources to help, forcing her to interact with guys more then she had before and getting to observe them be good people trying to help their mothers and sisters. When clearly troubled by how this is changing her world views a nice older trans lady sees this young teenager trying to help everyone but clearly having gender essentialist views correctly blames her guardian for her teaching her those views then goes over to help/adopt her, slowly working through it and kindly correcting her when she messes up or says something bigoted and while Tenko's progress is slow and she still makes mistakes, a lot of them, its clear she's trying and she's growing and she'll get there one day and you just cant help but be proud of her while Tenko learns to be more then just what her master wanted for her and learns who she is outside this role she was molded into causing her to question herself in ways she never was allowed to before? BASED AS HELL

Everytime I hang out with my local queer community it truly is a breath of fresh air bc folks? A lot of the shit we discourse about online doesn’t matter in the real world.

Pan/bi people had lesbian flags, plus several variations of lesbian flag were there. There was kink flags, ace flags, aroace flags, toothpaste gay flags. No one looked at me weird for having neo pronouns on my name tag. No one thought it was weird to see an afab drag queen. We had kink booths set aside a bit away from the family friendly booths (our town has two separate pride events, and one is more family focused than the other) and little toddlers went up to give money to drag queens during their performances.

And I live in the type of small Texan town to have a confederate statue outside the courthouse! (There was a whole booth dedicated to trying to take that damn thing down). Still, still! It was so inclusive, safe, and welcoming. And they didn’t give a shit about who was the most woke among them.
