My Take on Kieran from the Pokemon SV Teal Mask DLC/his Pain/Trauma (obvious and major Spoilers to the Story under the Cut):
Carmine is seen throughout the Game insulting/not treating Kieran kindly. That has tremendous Effects on his Confidence and Self-Esteem (stuttering, not confident enough to talk to others, etc)
When he sees you, the Protagonist, he immediately places you on a Pedestal, basically idolizing you and thinking you can only do right/are not capable of making Mistakes (which is a very bad Thing to do, because when you put People on a Pedestal and think very highly of them, any Mistake they'll do will shatter the perfect Image you built of them and you will grow to resent that Person because of that. Instead of unyielding Love and Admiration for them, it will turn into bitter Hatred and a Grudge forms.)
The only Thing that brings him Comfort through all the Pain is Ogerpon. It basically became his Hyperfixation which you can see when he comes up with these wholesome Scenarios in his Head (hoping to meet Ogerpon one Day and become his Friend, invite Ogerpon to his Home, etc). He also sees Part of himself in Ogerpon, so because of that he thinks he would have a special Connection with this Pokemon.
Then you come along. At first, everything seems fine, but soon Things begin to turn negative. You lie to him (probably against your Will) as he tests you, so Part of his Trust is already once again shattered and his Self-Esteem worsens once again (he thinks you and Carmine laugh behind his back without having any Evidence for it. His Head tells him that this is the Truth).
Then, the only Source of Comfort turns away from him… and to you (it's like your Hyperfixation walking right up to you, only to push you aside and give someone else the Attention you always craved), so that is taken away from him as well. On top of that, the Person he once considered his Friend is understanding themself well with the one Person who always antagonized him… his Sister, Carmine.
His entire Environment is crumbling apart, so he tries to fight the Force that is destroying it… only to lose over, and over, and over again (without anyone telling him that the Person he is facing off against is considered a Champion in one Region, while he himself only has average Knowledge about battling. He was doomed to lose from the Start)
He is shown as this shy, meek Character at first, but if you pay Attention to the Details, you can quickly tell how his Frustrations, his Despair and his Anger are building up, bottling up within him (he punches a Shrine made out of Stone with his Fist (not thinking clearly and reacting based on his Emotions as he regrets doing that Moments later on, seeing how his Expression changes into a pained one and he shakes his Hand in Pain), he falls down to the Ground and pounds his Fist against the Floor, the Light in his Eyes vanishes, he clenches his Fists when thinking about you… but also mostly stays silent all the same, rarely shouting out in Anger.)
And to top it off… he seems to be a Child without Parents, only having his Grandparents around him, one of which has kept the true Story of Ogerpon hidden from him for many Years now.
Carmine assumed at some points that Kieran acted weirdly due to Hormones, since Kieran is in his Teen Years… and we know how irrational and emotional Teens can become due to Hormones.
It doesn't end there for him, however. As one of my best Friends pointed out while I was talking to him, Kieran's School Life doesn't seem great either. Remember how all giddy Kieran gets when he hears you considering him to be your Friend. That shows how he doesn't have any Friends at his School at all. It's no wonder how he considers himself to be an Outsider and how he asumes Carmine and you exclude him from Stuff even if there is once again no Proof for it.
One last Detail I think I noticed is how Kieran sabotages himself, whether he does it intentionally or not. He is clearly frustrated that Ogerpon prefers you over him. Yet, he abandoned Ogerpon when Ogerpon needed help the most (meanwhile, the Protagonist was always there for Ogerpon, so it makes Sense that Ogerpon would flock to them more than it would to Kieran). Instead of listening what others have to say and let them talk, he keeps running away before he can gain Information/their Side of the Story, twisting his Perception of others further. He is also always the one that demands to battle with you, despite Part of him knowing that he will lose.
To sum it up: Kieran is seemingly a shy and meek Boy who already had some Troubles in his Home-, Social- and School Life, resulting in his poor Self-Esteem and dwindling mental Health. Then he places the Protagonist on a high Pedestal (possibly due to Trauma and/or Loneliness) when they come along and idolize them, only for that Person to unintentionally and inevitably destroy everything he held dearly to him and turn his Life upside down.
Also, while I can't assume that he hates the Protagonist's Guts now and harbor a Grudge against them (since that would be kinda hypocritical considering he thought Carmine and the Protagonist were laughing behind his back without having any Evidence to back it up), it wouldn't be too surprising if it turned out that that was the Case, even if it is just a tiny Part of him that does so.
So, what exactly does all of this mean for Part 2 of the DLC?
Well, I think that maybe someone is going to take Advantage of the Situation and manipulate Kieran, as Kieran's mental Wellbeing is basically down the Drain at this point. The only Thing he, and possibly by Extension his Hatred, cares about is tearing us down. And considering how chaotic his Emotions must be right now, he won't think clearly about what he is doing, as proven by his past Actions… therefore giving others an Opportunity to manipulate him.
------
If anyone wants to add something onto this, feel free to do so. Also, if this Post feels scattered or weird, it's because I copy and pasted my Thoughts and Ramblings I had between me and my best Friend on Discord onto this Post, so that's why it might be all over the Place- uwu Please remember that I also played the DLC in German, so if some Things are different, then Parts of the Translations weren't the same as the English one- :^Pc

20. Turnov. Any genre/random. (Hes my favorite engine so sorry for asking for the maximum dhdhddjjf)
Putting some history into the lore here: Turnov and his dining car came to America some years before the Cold War started. Once everything went down, they weren't able to leave. They were passed around a few yards because they were champions and the humans wanted to make some money off of them. They ended up at Apollo Victoria for the events of the show and were promptly bought by Control.
Turnov's birth name is Maxim Kurnikovich Ivanov. He doesn't go by his birth name because when he was in training as a racer he was basically rebranded as Turnov.
A very very repressed gay man. He was uncomfortable at the idea of racing with a female coach but a male coach wasn't an option, so he races with his sister (A dining car named Paskha). He's honestly repressed in any and all sexual and/or romantic things, the thought of it stresses him out because he can't be himself.
Aside from his sister, he has a twin brother named Vladimir and parents named Anya and Kurnik, he hasn't seen the rest of them in many years.
Didn't speak much english when he initially came to America, still didn't speak very much when he got to Apollo Victoria, his sister spoke for him a lot. He learns english mainly from the other nationals, which leads to him saying a lot of non-American slang and sayings and everyone finds it funny.
He is very boring man- He doesn't have many hobbies and his favorite food is literally porridge.
His birth yard saw his bulk and separated him from his family. He was pretty badly mistreated there, by the trainfolk and conductors alike. This has led to him being quiet and stern with a deep fear of being seen as weaker (Don't ask why, let's just say he has some scars...).
I have him falling in love with Brexit 💕. Brex is small and kind, which contrasts well with Turnov and helps him heal.
He is unsure as to how old he is, he thinks he's somewhere in his 70s-80s maybe (trains age differently so he's not a super old man lol).
His hair is naturally very curly, but it's been shortened to a buzzcut for most of his life.
America didn't treat him very kindly either, he was subjected to a lot of crap. Apollo Victoria was the same in the beginning, he got called a Commie a lot. Greaseball was especially bad and has since apologized profusely.
I'd say he's about 6'2" with brunette hair and hazel eyes. He's also built like a brick wall.
Aggression issues to the max. The environment he grew up in has left him easily angered and riddled with anxieties. Too much stress and he will bite or punch and the victim will not be okay. He probably needs a muzzle tbh-
Doesn't actually enjoy drinking, it's just his preferred unhealthy coping mechanism.
Likes to be read to and enjoys violin music.
Got set up with a therapist right away-
He's closest with the rest of the nationals, as fellow champions they understand a lot of what he's gone through and they all support each other.
Bear hugs and head bumps are his forms of affection, he has knocked people over before-
Since Control bought him, he's been allowed to have actual fun and live life. His favorite activities are tea parties with Brexit and knitting with Ruhrgold. He also really likes naps (and dragging fellow nationals into napping with him-) because the man is tired, let him rest.
The coaches adore him for some unknown reason. The reason is that he's very genuine with them. Coaches often have to worry about how engines act with them, with all the competition and treating coaches like prizes to be won. Even engines not attracted to coaches will often act differently near them because of societal stuff. Turnov racing with a coach sister everywhere has given him a very relaxed and natural vibe when near coaches, which they appreciate. It's kind of a symbiotic deal: Turnov wards off bad engines and the coaches will commit murder if someone harms him-

Record Mirror (July 14, 1979): 119/?
THE QUEEN BACKLASH ENDS HERE
WITHOUT DOUBT Queen are among that elite number of bands universally hated by the rock press.
The rancour is, make no mistake, mutual which is understandable. If you find yourself on the receiving end of an inveterate dislike at the outset of your career and watch it being nurtured and carefully cultivated over the next six years you’re bound to retaliate.
Queen’s hatred manifests itself by their continued habit of ignoring the music press i.e. refusing to give interviews. There is the occasional token “chat”, pointless as it is innocuous, but in the main it amounts to a blanket “No.”
One of the last interviews Freddie Mercury gave was the last nail in the perspex coffin. Under a headline which boldly asked ‘Is This Man A Prat?’ the king of the leotards was demolished by one of the old school Queen haters and Freddie obviously came to the conclusion, in its wake, that interviews in future would be both superfluous (he was popular enough) and detrimental.
The curtain, velvet naturally, closed.
Roger Taylor, a little wary, a little weary, sits stiffly in an armchair. The juggernauts rattling the Chelsea Street outside create a sonorous buzz bomb hum in the room.
You expect a member of Queen to look elegant. In fact Roger is only wearing a wine colour mohair jacket, black shirt and blue jeans.
He apologises for being a little late and explains how he went to the wrong address. Roger seems to be the only member of Queen left who is prepared, albeit rarely, to open his mouth in the presence of a hack. A question springs to mind . . . why?
“We all sat around a table before I flew over from Munich to discuss the press situation and we agreed I should be the one to represent the band. Freddie is very uncompromising and refuses to have much to do with journalists.
“Obviously, he’s had a few raw deals with them in the past,” observes Taylor.
Roger himself has a rather low view of the music press.
“Most of it is rubbish. There was something I liked recently, a piece on Malcolm McLaren, but in the main I think I’m the only one of Queen to actually read the music papers.”
Why does he think the band are systemically slagged?
“I think it’s because Queen have always come across as being a rather confident band. We seemed, to other people at least, to be very sure of ourselves. I think the press may have misconstrued the confidence, mistaking it for a form of arrogance. Hence they became wary of our motives which bred a dislike for our music.”
Now that’s what I call a neat conclusion.
At the risk of being sent to Coventry by my colleagues I’d like, if I may, to come clean. I love Queen (you’re fired, Ed).
I think it all began with a simple pre-packed but indisposable line – “Dynamite with a laser beam” and has continued uninterrupted (despite the occasional flaw) right through to ‘Queen Live Killers’.
A combination of reasons, Freddie Mercury’s lascivious lisp – the most attractive intonation known to man . . . Brian May’s reel ‘em off rococo riffs that would, in his capable hands, transform the theme music for ‘Waggoners’ Walk’ into a meisterwork . . . John Deacon’s almost stoic stance, incongruous yet integral . . . Roger Taylor’s intense power, so unexpected from one so slight . . . the ability to go over the top without failing into the trap of caricature . . . a desire to give the punters what they want without pandering . . . that cast iron confidence . . . those nine glorious winter weeks of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ which kept the cold away from my soul . . .
Yes, I love Queen.
Roger explains the story behind ‘Killers’ which features just about every Queen classic which ever found its way into a silk lined memory bank.
“We always knew that one day we would make a live album. I think it was well planned. About 90 per cent of our last European tour was recorded on a mobile unit and we then spent weeks sitting through the songs in the studio.
“The result is a 100 per cent LIVE album. Nothing has been touched up in the process of selection, I think that’s pretty rare these days. Many ‘live’ albums are tampered with.”
The choice of single is unusual – ‘Love Of My Life’. “It’s not so unusual when you hear the way it came out. The song seems to have such a wide appeal. Everywhere we go the reaction to it is the same. The audience are just bursting to sing along.”
The result is Queen’s best single since ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ (that was their LAST one crawler, ED)
As I mentioned earlier the band are currently residing in Munich where they are “experimenting” in the studio.
“We are recording in a totally different way for us,” says Roger who speaks with a delicate London accent only typical of cockneys with dramatic training and David Essex.
“Every time we entered a studio in the past we had a good idea of what we were going to do. This time we started from scratch and the result is amazing. The music is nothing like anything we’ve done before, I guess you could say it’s much simpler.”
And this novel approach to their music also extends to their shows. On their next British tour – in the late Autumn – the band will be playing much smaller venues than they are accustomed to.
“In London for example we went to play to audiences of about two or three thousand in different areas. I think it’s much fairer to the fans.”
But won’t this affect their stage show which is after all a crucial factor for any powerpomp outfit?
“Not really. We will just scale down the show accordingly. Besides,” he says taking another bite out of the biscuit, “we haven’t used dry ice in years.”
The monkey on Queen’s back, as corpulent and cantankerous as ever, has been put there by those who firmly believe the band can never emulate past achievements. Roger is cognizant of its presence but refuses to unpeel its bananas.
“That all began after ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. When it stayed at number one all those weeks we were kindly informed that we would never be able to make another single to rival it both artistically and from the point of view of sales.
“Yet ‘We Are The Champions’ sold a great deal more and has since become the biggest selling single in the entire history of Elektra Asylum – our label in the States.
“We don’t do the amazingly complex things any more because we’ve moved on from that. We concentrate on the music we are doing now and we intend to do it the best we can, it’s ridiculous looking behind and and what you’ve done.
“There’s nothing like going back on the road to re-unite the bond between the four personalities and strengthening our belief in the band. We are a real working unit and, in my experience of the music business, one of the most democratic bands around today.”
A statement like that cries out to be expounded.
“People think every member of all the bands, not naming any names, are treated equally that is get the same money as their colleagues. That’s rubbish. In many bands there are a couple of guys that get all the money. The rest are on wages. Queen share the profits equally.”
And they don’t have a manager taking his cut either, John Reid departed a couple of years back and now the band themselves make all the major policy decisions. Why did they decide to dispense with the services of a manager?
“Basically because we were fed up with giving other people money. Y’know it never ceases to amaze me how naive those guys are in bands who have just had their first hit. After all this time I’ve forgotten just how naive we must have been at the beginning.
“I mean, everything seems so great when you get into the charts for the first time. You’re living on cloud nine and nothing else matters. But in truth that hit means absolutely nothing. So few people achieve any amount of financial success in this business.
“Oh, you think, you’re really living . . . for a while. Somebody gets you a flat in Chelsea and it’s all free. But one day the rent stops being paid for you and you realise you’re skint.
“Since John Reid has gone the four of us have always made a point of discussing everything together. We have various people working for us but all the important decisions are made by us alone. That way we get freedom of choice – and financial independence.”
My attention is suddenly diverted.
“FORTY-LOVE!” Wimbledon, the Persil White opiate for the hoi polloi squashed in a strawberry crush wrings out its perspiring petticoats on the TV in the next room.  Roger’s girlfriend, an extremely attractive French girl called Dominique, is engrossed. The couple have lived together for two years. Crippled old marriage questions permeate the air.
“I don’t believe in marriage,” says Roger. “It’s simply a contract and the fewer contracts I enter into the better. If you get on well with someone then there isn’t any harm in living with that person – but marriage is something else again.”
They live in a six bedroomed Victorian house just outside London, which is set in 20 acres. Roger has a “tiny” town house in Barnes as well. What’s it like having a bank full of money at the age of 29?
“I don’t hide away from life. Queen have never been one of those ‘being grabbed in the street’ type bands. It may happen when the four of us are together – but when we are out alone we are seldom bothered. That gives me the opportunity to enjoy myself. I go to clubs a lot. I like having a good time. I don’t think you could describe any of the band as leading sheltered lives.
“But I have completely lost touch with how much things cost. When you find yourself living in hotels for so long you never really deal in money as such. Everything is available whenever you want it – but you never see the cash actually being handed over.
“I’ve forgotten what it was like to be penniless which Queen were for years. I guess that must happen to many successful rock bands.”
Another thing that happens to many successful rock bands – they quit the country. But not Queen it appears.
“We have always based ourselves in England and I see no reason why we shouldn’t continue to do so. We could leave at any time but we choose to stay. People believe we are tax exiles because we spend a lot of the time out of the country recording in studios all over Europe and touring.”
And what will happen when the band finally trudge wearily down the road leading to that  ivory strewn elephants’ graveyard . . . ?
“I know it’s bound to happen one day. I suppose I’d take a long, long holiday . . . and then make a solo album.”

I watched a few clips from ‘Black Widow’ and this au just popped into my head. (Be warned, this whole is incredibly messy and disjointed. I apologise for that. I’m just writing this as it pops into my head in a stream of consciousness because I’m kinda tired rn.)
Black Widow/Winter Soldier Wild AU
Can you imagine if when Wild’s really young and is discovered to be the hero, he’s just ripped away from his family and life to be trained as the hero. Except the training is pretty much just training him to be an obedient assassin who does whatever he is ordered to. He’s essentially got the training of Black Widow and the Winter Soldier and is just used by the royal family for whatever they want him to do basically.
***
I imagine parts of his training be things like…
1. The obvious weapons training. He’s trained with pretty much any weapon you can find in Hyrule until he’s a master at all of them. Sword, spear, bow and arrow, bommerang, etc.
2. Hand to hand combat as well. Again, he’s pretty much mastered it.
3. Pain resistance. He’s basically trained to ignore pain and they did this by beating him over and over until he learned not to flinch and show a physical reaction.
4. He speaks pretty much every language in Hyrule (Hylian, Goron, Gerudo, Rito, Zora, and Sheikah) fluently.
5. Any other stuff you can think of that he could be trained in basically.
***
Of course, as the hero he’s still Zelda’s bodyguard, they just never get along like they start to in the game before the Calamity awakens. Mainly because Wild has to follow her father’s every order and, like in canon, she hates that she has to be protected and feels useless because she can’t access her goddess given powers. And because Wild literally doesn’t even have the freedom to even think for himself, there isn’t really anyway for them to bond, so Zelda never ends up becoming nice to him like she is after he rescues her from the Yiga attack in one of the memories. (Yeah, this AU probably isn’t going to be super Zelda friendly, basically for more angst purposes when the LU boys come in).
A way to make the situation worse is by having all the champions, even Revali as much as he teases, be deeply uncomfortable by the way Wild is treated by the royal family. (I kinda imagine Revali still being a prick but he’s a bit nicer to Wild then he is in canon.) When they all first visit Hyrule Castle and see how he basically is treated more like a tool than a person, they are all absolutely furious. They all end up volunteering to train Wild in their various fighting styles as a way to get him away from the castle and his orders for a bit so that they can actually treat him kindly. But they treat him so differently to how he’s treated back in the castle that he’s actually confused by them treating him kindly. They’d all gotten back to their respective quarters that night and shed a few tears, the boy didn’t even know proper kindness.
The champions just see Wild as a member of their family and, although he doesn’t say it, he becomes fond of them too. He’s like a brother to all of them. They hate having to leave him to go and prepare the Divine Beasts and pray they see him soon.
Calamity Ganon rises.
The champions are killed in their respective Divine Beasts, and the makeshift family they had with Wild is broken apart.
Wild runs across a muddy field in torrential rain with Zelda’s hand in one of his and the Master Sword in his other. He’s running on nothing but orders and adrenaline. He has several cracked ribs, his left arm is broken even as he grips Zelda’s hand, there is blood pouring out of several cuts and gashes across his body, but still he keeps running. He has too, his body will not allow him to stop as he was ordered to run and protect the princess. She is his mission and he cannot fail.
But moments after Zelda finally unlocks her powers as she shields them from a guardian, he fails his mission. He collapses under the weight of his injuries and moments later, he dies in the middle of Hyrule Field. He has failed his mission and Hyrule has fallen. (Sorry, I don’t really know when I slipped into story mode there?)
But Zelda still manages to have him placed him the resurrection shrine as they still need him, and so, 100 years later, Wild wakes up.
The whole thing gets sadder if you imagine Wild’s training being so strong that it sticks after his resurrection. He doesn’t even understand it, he just hears a voice in his head yelling at him to not do this and not do that. (Extra sad thing, the reason he does all the side quests is because Zelda is the highest authority figure in Hyrule, but as she’s trapped in the castle and unable to give him orders, Wild just obeys anyone because he assumes that they’re a higher ranking than him, even though they are just normal people. And most of the time, they aren’t giving him orders they are asking for help, but he just doesn’t know the difference.)
Anyway, Wild completes his mission and defeats Calamity Ganon and everything seems okay. He’s still at Zelda’s side as she’s the current ruler and part of his programming is to obey the current monarch. They still don’t really get along, but Zelda is trying to be kind to him now, but I imagine that it’s just kind of too late for that now.
However, everything changes when the LU gang turn up (finally!) and look for this Hyrule’s hero, they do find him. But they just don’t expect him to be an emotionless 118 year old assassin. They talk with Zelda to discuss their quest and she says that Wild can go with them, blah blah blah. So they take Wild with them on their quest and just get more and more outraged the more they find out about him (oh, also Wild is mute in this and uses sign language.)
Since Time seems to be the leader of the group, Wild starts to treat him like he treats Zelda. Listens to whatever he says as Wild sees it as an order, protects him more during fights, that kinda stuff and it breaks Time’s heart when he figures it out.
Also i imagine that it’s also really strange for Wild to visit the other Hyrules and meet the other Zelda’s who have great relationships with their respective Links, because he doesn’t have that with his Zelda. (Although, I do see Malon immediately taking a liking to him and wanting to hug the poor boy, which would be super emotional for him as he hasn’t been hugged in years and can’t even remember his own mother).
***
But there are two times that the gang really learn how much his training messed him up and oh boy, are they fucking fuming!
The first time happened when Wild gets stabbed during a fight and doesn’t even flinch. Nobody notices until after the fight when they all sit at the camp fire that night and Wild just starts sewing his wound up as they all watch in horror. Hyrule asks why he never said he was injured and Wild says ‘it wasn’t important.’ And doesn’t understand why they make a fuss and insist he wastes a healing potion on himself (yes, Wild has an absolutely crap self-esteem here and doesn’t actually think he’s worth anything other than what he can do for people.) Hyrule has to be stopped from tackling Wild to check on the wound himself.
The second was when Wild put himself in danger during a fight to protect the others and when the fight was over Time yelled at him. It was out of concern for Wild’s wellbeing and asking why him had put himself in danger, but Wild thought he was in trouble and asked if Time wanted to punish him. Everyone, especially Time, was horrified and confused. Time asked what Wild meant by punishment and then almost wished he’d never asked. Wild just went into explanations of various punishments he’s had. They were all incredibly harsh, including being whipped, having to stand outside holding a sword outstretched in his hands all night while not being allowed to lower his arms, having to fight other full-armoured and equiped soldiers without any armour or weapons himself, etc. Wild is then the subject of a very big cuddle pile.
***
Basically this AU can be summed up as Black Widow/Winter Soldier Wild gets treated nicely for the first time in years and is very confused/uncomfortable, while the gang all immediately see Wild and are like ‘ahh yes, our amnesiac assassin now’ while they try to convince him that there is more to him than just being a puppet for people. Of course, while the quest with the black blooded monsters takes place as well.

So I Don’t Forget Again: A Breath of The Wild fanfiction
Entry 99: Lookout Post
We stayed up all night star gazing. His glowing spots were just as memorizing as ever. We read through my journal and his letters. When we got to the part when my mind went to a dark place Sidon simply held me close and said that I at least knew what he would do now. I felt so secure and safe in that moment. So happy. How does he always to this to me? How is it that he always makes me feel so, I don’t know? Any negative feelings or thoughts welding up inside, he doesn’t just make them go away he somehow manages to find the heart of them helps me find a way to change it. Like with my dark thoughts we talked through them, not just ignored them, or my feelings for Daruk and all the others who’ve passed, or my realization that what he pointed out I knew a hundred years ago. We explored and talked through all of them just like that night when I broke down and my conflicting feelings about my past and Mipha came pouring out. He never did anything for me or in my place, he supported me allowing me a greater chance to do it myself. Whenever he speaks of how great I am, that makes me want to do even better! Not just for him but for myself. I feel I have this self-motivated drive that I wouldn’t have if he hadn’t help me kick start it. He doesn’t simply get rid of things he helps to make changes that last. Sidon’s just so amazing. I wish No, what he’s done for me I will do someday for him! I’ll change his life for the better someday! I will be the Sidon to his Link! I try my best but what he does for and to me I can’t truly describe. I can only work towards being the kind of person whom could do the same for others, and for him.
As much as it would have been lovely to stay together longer, I could not just let Sidon stay here. I led him back to where the canyon and desert meet when the sun was rising. Before leaving he gently held my right arm and asked how it was fairing. It was behaving as usual honestly, it was much slower to heal than the rest of me, it still hurts even now honestly. He then closed his eyes and leaned his forehead on mine, asking me to be a little more careful, and to treat my right arm better because it seems to get injured often.
As he started walking away, he stopped, turning to me saying that he wanted to say one last thing. He said that whether I’m a Voe or a Vai I am adorable. He then paused for a moment before that toothy grin took hold on his lips, saying especially when I blush. He put a big emphasis on the ‘especially’ part. Then added that either way it doesn’t change the fact that I’m the greatest person he’s ever met. With that said he left me with a racing heart and my face feeling as hot as the desert in the afternoon. HOW DOES HE DO THIS!? I’M JUST THINKING ABOUT IT AND MY HEART’S RACING AGAIN!
I’m so happy and so scared to see him go. I believe that he should be safe in the domain, but he was with me when I killed the Yiga clan’s leader. They may target him. There are way too many ‘what if’s’ in this situation. Thankfully some Gerudo women agreed to travel with him so at least they have safety in numbers. Oddly enough, though I was worried about the Yiga in that moment I was more worried about how upset Muzu and possibly his father would be. He ran off without saying a word to anyone I believe.
On the way back to Gerudo town we bumped into Vilia. We chatted for a bit about what had happened and about Sidon. She remarked that we seem very close. It was a short chat though. I’m not exactly sure how long it’s been so I wanted to meet with the chief as soon as I could.
When I reached the audience chamber Buliara asked me what took so long, then said that it didn’t matter. The Chief had given me permission to see her in her room if she wasn’t at the audience chamber so not so willingly Buliara led me to the Chief’s room and stood guard at the door.
Chief Riju stood at the edge of a balcony which overlooked the whole town. She told me that she had been waiting for me. I was apologizing when she raised a hand and said that it wasn’t needed, after all, she was the one who requested that I get the helm back. She thanked me for saving that one guard. She then said that I must have noticed that she is a child. She said that people only look on her kindly but that in of itself hurts a little. She’d tried so much to prove to be worthy of her role to her people and herself. When the Thunder Helm was stolen she felt as if a shadow had fallen over her. She then said that my arrival amongst this chaos must have been the work of Lady Urbosa, the Champion of the Gerudo and a chief too. She then placed the helm on. It was a bit big, so she had to hold it up.
That helm… It lay by their sides on a few pillows. They sat on a blanket, looking out at the marvelous view of the night desert from so high up. Princess Zelda had fallen asleep on her shoulder. She said that I certainly gotten there fast. She told me Zelda was out surveying all day. Then she asked if we were getting along. After a few moments she said that it was okay, my silence spoke volumes. She told me that Princess Zelda gets frustrated every time she sees me with the legendary sword on my back. She feels like a failure when it came to her own destiny. She told me to not worry, none of it was my fault. She said that for her whole life the princess had gone through rigorous daily routines to show her dedication, there was even a time when she had passed out in freezing waters trying to gain her spiritual powers. Yet she has nothing to show for it. She said that’s what motivates her to do so much research. She then added that if she were in her place, she’d do the exact same thing. She said the princess was quite special as she placed some stray hairs behind the princess’ ear. She told me to make sure to protect her with my life, it was an honor to do so. She said that the nights here are freezing so it was time to take the princess in. She paused for a moment, smirking before snapping her fingers causing lightning to strike, startling the princess awake. Seeing her reaction, she couldn’t hold in that hearty laughter.
Chief Riju asked if something was wrong for I had been staring for a while. But then said that it didn’t really matter. She asked how it looked on her. I said it was a tad big. Then in that moment it slid off her a little. She swiftly adjusted it and started to speak of Vah Naboris. She said that within the time it took me to get back it’s reach had already grown exponentially. We could both see a massive sandstorm brewing not far off in the distance. The town, and the rest of Hyrule would very soon be in danger.  She told me that as chief it was her duty to protect her people and asked me for help. I obviously agreed. She commented on how funny it was that right before such a dangerous battle ‘hearing a simple, confident pledge of support from you would be what puts me at ease.’ Hearing that gave me a kind of joy I hadn’t felt before.
We left for a place called the ‘Lookout Post’ It was near the storm, but not quite caught up in it yet. There was her personal Sandseal, Patricia waiting for us. Sandseals are the creature used as transportation here since horses can’t run on sand. The rider stands on a large shield or something similar. You use straps to control the Sandseal. They swim though in the sand so a person can’t exactly ride on their backs. The plan was for me to shoot at Vah Naboris’ feet with bomb arrows. It draws it’s power from the ground so if we damaged those enough we’d probably get an opening to the inside. Chief Riju controlled the Sandseal and provided protection from the lightning by wearing the helm. The helm can provide some protection to the area around her so by both of us riding on the same shield I should not get hit by lightning.
Before the fight I changed into my Champion’s tunic since it’s my best armor. I at least wore some ruby jewelry since the sun was setting and it was about to get cold. Chief Riju was surprised to see me. She rarely gets to see voe since they’re not allowed in town. Yet though I certainly look different I wasn’t that different. Though I’m a guy I really liked being a woman for a while. Honestly, I’ll probably wear my Gerudo clothing when traveling even though I don’t need to.
We looked out into the storm and could just barely see the Divine Beast lurking within. It was pretty intimidating. When she asked once more if I was sure I was prepared I said of course. She really liked my confidence. She also told me that if I got too injured or struck by lightning even once she promised that we’d retreat to the lookout post. Though we were going into battle she didn’t want us to do anything reckless under any circumstances. It was then that we finally set off.
The wind was ferocious, and with sand being kicked up aiming and firing was nearly impossible. I was only able to get any shots in if we got extremely close. Lightning exploded all around us, and the crashing noises it caused was defining. I had to focus all of my effort into simply drawing my bow let alone shooting. I have no idea what would have happened should Chief Riju not have been there. Vah Naboris quickly became more aggressive, moving faster and making the storm more like a tornado. The Divine Beast even kicked out one of its legs which got me to fall off the shield. The Chief tried to come back for me, but the Sandseal was scared off and she too fell off the shield. It was about to stamp one of its feet on her when I tossed myself holding a Sheikah bomb at it. My head was ringing, and my body felt numb. Thankfully Sheika bombs don’t use fire or gunpower so all that hit me was just the force of the explosion which is much more powerful than a regular bomb arrow, but I had the sand to cushion my fall, so I was relatively fine. I tried explaining that to the chief, but she was furious with me for doing something to dangerous. Though this did not last long because we realized that Vah Naboris was now falling on us. I swiftly took her under my arm and booked it out of there. We just made it in time to not get crushed. The storm quickly subsided, and the lightning had completely stopped. But I knew that like the other Divine Beasts it wouldn’t stay down long so I went searching for an entrance. I told her that it would be best to return to town given the fact that going in there meant you’d have to fight a living nightmare but she refused saying that it’s her duty to protect her people, and if I continued to throw myself into danger then I’d die before appeasing Vah Naboris.
As we found an entrance it was already getting back up on it’s feet. Once we were inside, though our footing was steady we could still feel ourselves bobbing up and down with the Divine Beast which was such a strange feeling. A voice echoed about in my mind leading us to the guidance stone. This beast seemed to be much more open. There were so many places where I could see the outside from inside.
Whenever I had to fight, I had the Chief stay back. At one point she asked that when she was a little older if I could teach her. The Gerudo are known for being amazing warriors but she could be even greater if she could learn more than just the traditional Gerudo style. I wasn’t sure what to say. I believe learning different styles of fighting is important, but… The battle against the Calamity will be unlike anything I’ve faced before in memory, and last I faced it, I failed. So, how was I to say that I would even still be around to teach her? But I couldn’t bring myself to say ‘no’, so I agreed. I just feel awful now.
Each time we took back a terminal I heard confident words of affirmation and praise in my mind.
Soon all that remained was a control panel. Before placing the Sheikah Slate on it I told the chief that she needed to stay close to me. After placing down the slate for a moment I took the chief’s hand and ran as a mucked black and purple mist exploded forth from the control panel, then taking the shape of a disgusting creature wielding a sword and shield. With that same damned bright blue eye. The thing that had killed Urbosa a hundred years ago. It moved so fast it was simply a blur. Next thing I knew I was clutching the chief against my chest as that thing’s sword was swiftly pulled out of my side. I swung at it as much as I could before it disappeared. I was able to jump out of the way of its next attack while still holding the chief. It soon used lightning attacks which thanks to the chief we were unaffected by. It soon threw down metal rods. Lightning bounced across them, using the magnet ability I threw one of the rods at it, electrifying and shocking it. It was then I was able to land the final attack, finishing it off.
I asked her if she was alright to which she said she was, thanks to me. But she was extremely concerned about the wound I had in my side. I told her that as long as I ate something, I’d be fine. I quickly got back to the control panel and apologized to the chief for her having to deal with my body after I fainted. I then placed the slate on the panel. I heard foot falls behind me. She thanked me for freeing Naboris, and her. We could finally do what we set out to a hundred years ago which was a relief since Gerudo have no tolerance for unfinished business. She said that she’s been waiting for so long for me to rush Hyrule Castle, and for her to use Naboris’ full power against the Calamity. She knew how the princess and I both greatly suffered due to the after math of the Champions falling but that just was how things had to happen. No one need carry the blame. She asked me that I make sure that the princess understood that without a single doubt. To tell her to shed any worries. And to let her know that she couldn’t be more proud of her. Then she told me to take good care of her and Hyrule.

Gryffindor.Draco Prt 2
Follows Books 4-6
Tumblr media
Draco supplies Harry with food on a weekly basis once Harry writes to everyone about how the entire family is on a diet thanks to Dudley and his fat ass.
When the Quidditch Cup is in town, Draco goes with his family to the field a week early to prepare, but Draco finds the Weasleys when they arrive. He also flirts with some Bulgarians because why not. He tries to warn Harry and Ron about the leprechaun gold, but since neither of them pay attention, he just shrugs it off.
The Veela do not effect Draco as badly as they effected everyone else.
During the attack on the Muggle family, Draco flees into the woods with the others after Narcissa’s urging, but he had a bad bad feeling that Lucius was a part of the Death Eater group that launched the attack. Father and son don’t speak to each other for the rest of the summer.
Draco is the only one in the friend group to know about the Triwizard Tournament, so he tells them all about it on the train to Hogwarts. When Harry is eventually selected as the Fourth Champion, Draco understands it was sabotage; he actually fights Ron when the redhead shuns Harry thinking he had managed to sneak his name in somehow. They part on cold terms until after the First Task, though Draco is still frosty towards Ron for weeks.
When the Yule Ball arrives, he’s considered a “spare” where dates are concerned. He keeps himself single despite being asked several times in hopes that Harry might ask him; when this does not occur, he takes Pansy as a platonic date. He meets his first boyfriend/lover, Hector, from Viktor’s own entourage, during the Ball, and they end up romantically involved until the end of the year.
When Voldemort returns, Lucius joins the Death Eaters. Narcissa goes into hiding; Draco has the option to go with her, but he refuses, so Sirius takes him in. They make Grimmauld Place the new headquarters for the Order of the Phoenix, and they begin the grueling task at trying to make the home more livable when the Weasleys and Hermione arrive. Draco is the only one to treat Kreacher with kindness besides Hermione; the old house elf likes him due to this.
Draco feels awkward when he and Hermione receive their Prefect badges. He fully expected Harry to be the boy Gryffindor Prefect.
During Umbridge’s reign, Draco rallies Pansy, Theo, Blaise and Greg into being spies for the Inquisitor Squad. They steal the black quills every chance they get, and Draco destroys them. He also starts looking into more powerful magic in between their efforts with Dumbledore’s Army as an added precaution. He’s still unable to produce a corporeal Patronus despite his best tries.
When Harry and the twins are banned from Quidditch, Draco takes over as Seeker. He also starts a brief affair with Blaise that spans three months before they amicably part.
If Harry pursues a brief relationship with Cho Chang, then Draco will be noticeably jealous and competitive. He’s relieved when they eventually break things off, and laughs about Marietta Edgecomb’s boil curse very openly. In this year he’s more reminiscent to his canon self, as he delights in putting down those he deems traitors.
During the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, Draco pushes Bellatrix off of her step when she tries cursing Sirius, saving his cousin’s life. Bellatrix, in turn, curses Draco and nearly kills him, but he survives.
With Voldemort revealed to be alive, Narcissa remains in hiding, with sparse sporadic contact with her son through coded letters. Sirius is called upon more often for missions, causing Draco to relocate to the Burrow. He becomes friends with Fleur Delacour, chatting with her in fluent French, and is one of the few to come to her defense, not because of her beauty, but because he understands how out of place she feels, how helpless, and how much she wants to make things work because of Bill. His own growing feelings for Harry are getting stronger, though he tries to push it down.
Draco beats Hermione in their O.W.Ls by getting an O in Defense Against the Dark Arts, while Hermione only received an E. It’s the only time he’s beaten her in academics; he actually believes for a moment that he got the wrong report card.
When Harry gets Quidditch Captain, Draco tries out to be Chaser, and he gets the role, much to his delight. He does everything he can to keep the team in top shape, as he doesn’t want to let Harry down. (Though the game with Zacharias Smith bashing the Gryffindors ends with Ginny and Draco both ramming their brooms into the commentary booth, with Draco cursing Smith with a Tongue Tying Jinx on top of it. He receives detention while Ginny only loses them some points.)
Draco finds the drama that unfolds about Ron, Lavender and Hermione to be absolutely ridiculous, but he tries not to show his annoyance too often. He understands how Hermione feels, but he also doesn’t want to add to the fire.
As things progress, Draco is casting a worried glance towards the Slytherins he had grown up with who he knows has Death Eater parents. He trusts his friends to stay safe and loyal, but some of them make him wary. He does have a small fear of Vincent Crabbe, who had taken over the Slytherin Gang, and has only become more violent and rude over the years.
Slughorn doesn’t treat Draco very kindly at the beginning of the year due to his bloodline, and Draco’s own ambitions in Potions drops a bit as a result. He manages to gain the man’s respect as he ends up competing with Harry for the top grade however, and they’re evenly matched due to both being taught by Snape, (Draco since he was a child, and Harry using Snape’s old Potions book). When Harry eventually shows them the book, Draco recognizes the handwriting as his godfather’s.
Draco still becomes a victim of the Sectumsempra curse by Harry’s own hand, due to having a duel with Crabbe in the bathroom near the end of the year. Harry aims in the wrong direction as the wrong time, and Crabbe forcefully uses Draco as a human shield. It takes nearly a week for Draco to fully recover, though he becomes extensively self conscious about being shirtless around the others. Crabbe is given detention for the rest of the year, though without further proof of his suspicious involvement in the attacks around the school, nothing more can be done.
Draco helps kill one of the Death Eaters during the Battle of the Astronomy Tower, and he manages a spell to keep Bill’s bleeding from his scars inflicted by Greyback to a minimum. When he fights with Crabbe, he even causes the other boy to lose one of his eyes using a Dark Curse his mother taught him.
He’s devastated by Dumbledore’s loss, and is shattered when told that Snape was the one to strike the killing blow. Neither godfather or godson ever see each other again.
Draco swears to stay by Harry’s side, come hell or high water, when Harry tells the others his plan to not return to Hogwarts until the Horcruxes are hunted down and destroyed. He’s relieved when Hermione and Ron agree to come with him.

Letters to my Parents - Monday 17 October 1994 - by Alinda
Monday 17 October 1994
Dear mom and dad,
I can tell you that there is no way anyone is ever going to control me by the Imperius Curse. Professor Moody put it on me four times during lessons to show others how to fight it. It was really weird, being under the Imperius Curse. It was like all my worries and thoughts floated away and left in place a vague, untraceable happiness. I wasn’t really aware anymore of the people around me and then Moody told me to jump on a desk. And I just thought that was stupid, why would I jump on a desk? There was no reason for it. So I kind of jumped and tried to stop from jumping at the same time and smashed headlong into the desk. I could feel it in my knees for the rest of that day.
And that was all fine and well, and I’m glad I can resist the curse. Draco is a bit jealous that I can do it. He didn’t manage at all, and Moody made him crawl over the floor like a ferret. I wanted to hurt Moody when he did that like it wasn’t bad enough that he’d turned Draco into a ferret for real once for no good reason. And that wasn’t even the worst of it all. After I could completely throw off the curse on his fourth attempt he looked at Draco and told him he would never be able to control me again. Draco just shook his head and pretended he didn’t hear but I was furious. So after class, I didn’t go with the others to get dinner but made my way down the dungeons to Professor Snape his classroom. He was still there putting away some potion bottles. I told him about Moody and how he keeps treating Draco as a criminal. Professor Snape premised me he would talk to Moody and even headmaster Dumbledore to make sure Moody keeps his prejudged feelings out of our class.
When I finally made it to diner I got informed about the news that the delegations from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang would arrive on the 15th of October. And arrive they did. The entire Great Hall had been decorated with enormous silk banners representing the Hogwarts Houses. And in the afternoon we all had to gather in the entrance hall with our cloaks on. Professor Snape ordered us into a line, with the first years in front and the seventh years in the back. Then we had to line up in front of the castle and wait. I leaned against Draco and Professor Snape ordered me to stand straight and to behave. Blaise laughed next to me and whispered to me that clearly, Professor Snape has lost his brain if he thought Draco and I could behave ourselves. I snickered and laced my fingers into Draco’s, just out of view of Professor Snape.
The delegation of Beauxbatons arrived in a massive horse-drawn carriage pulled by a dozen winged golden horses, soaring through the air. It landed in front of us and then the headmistress of Beauxbatons stepped out of it. She’s the larges woman I’ve ever seen. She’s the same size as Hagrid. When she had stepped down the ladder headmaster Dumbledore clapped and we all followed his example. Her students followed her. They looked like they were freezing in their light blue silk robes. None of them had a cloak and I felt sorry for them. Luckily they could all go inside quickly to warm up
I was more impressed by the Durmstrang group. They arrived in a ship that rose out of the water. Their headmaster is professor Karkaroff. Draco knows who he is. I’ll tell you about him just now. He has a goatee that finishes into a small curl. I think it looks ridiculous. But that was not the great part. Among the students of Durmstrang is a very special person, namely Victor Krum, the star Quidditch player from Bulgaria. And to our great pleasure, he sat down in Great Hall right next to our little group. Draco told him we’d seen him at the World Cup and that it is an honour to have him at our school. Krum was very kind and thanked Draco for his compliment. And then Greg said he’d love to see a Seeker game between me and Krum, but Krum kindly declined, saying something like he was only here to compete in the TriWizard tournament, and not to play Quidditch.
Once everyone was seated, Dumbledore gave a short speech welcoming our guest and then the feast started. We had some extra foreign dishes and the Durmstrang students explained to us what they were (at least the once they knew, none of us was tempted to try the France dishes, expect Draco who’d had them on a holiday to France and assured us they were delicious).
We’re also sure that one of the Beauxbatons girls is at least a tiny bit Veela because all the boys stare as she passes them. Draco finds it kind of funny, he said it’s a good way to find out who else is bent at this school since they won’t be affected by her. And that made me think that Millicent is probably bent too since she couldn’t stop her head from turning when the girl passed our table.
And then, after dinner was done, headmaster Dumbledore opened the TriWizard tournament. He explained the procedure and introduced Mr Crouch and Mr Bagman to us. They were the representatives from the Ministry that will be on the panel of judges. And then they brought in a casket which turned into a large, roughly hewn wooden cup when he tapped it three times with his wand. It was kind of unremarkable except for the fact that it was filled with dancing blue-white flames. Everyone who wants to be a Champion has to write down their name and school on a slip of parchment and drop it into the goblet. They’ve got till the night of the Halloween feast to do so because then the goblet will somehow choice the Champions.
When Karkaroff came to collect the Durmstrang students to go back to their ship for the night he froze when he saw me. Draco and I had just gotten up to leave and our hands were locked together. Karkaroff his eyes moved from my scar quickly to my hand. Then he shook his head and left without saying a word, the Durmstrang students hurrying to follow him. Draco told me that night that Karkaroff uses to be friends with his father, way back when Draco was just a baby. Karkaroff has been to Azkaban for a short time just after the Wizarding War that killed both of you. Draco has no idea why he was released so quickly since most of the Death Eaters arrested back then are still locked up.
This weekend we’ve spent a lot of time on guessing who will become the Champion for Hogwarts. I’ve heard that Cedric, the captain of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team is going to try for champion. Just like Adrian and Miles, our Quidditch teammates. But I think if it’s going to be a Slytherin champion it will be Warrington. He’s in seventh year, handsome and I think he has pretty good grades in all his classes. Professor Snape is fond of him and that is saying something.
Oh and it was fun to see Fred and George Weasley try to get passed the age line that headmaster Dumbledore had placed around the goblet. They’d taken ageing potion and stepped over the line, only to be hurled out of the circle. Once they were back on the floor they both sprouted identical long white beards. Everyone in the Hall was laughing, even Fred and George.
Next to all the TriWizard stuff and stupid professor Moody, I’ve just been really busy with the massive amount of homework we’ve been getting. I wanted to cheat on my moon chart for Divination, but Draco wouldn’t let me. He made me do all the work and made sure I understood all the calculations. The predictions were really boring and I’m sure I would have gotten a better mark if I’d handed in a chart filled with catastrophes and near-death experiences. But that aside, we do spend a lot of time in the library with our friends doing homework. Our group is slowly growing. It is so different from first year where it was just me and Hermione. Now it’s Blaise, Luna, Greg, Daphne, Hermione, Ron, Neville, Seamus, Dean and sometimes Millicent. It’s fun to study together and help each other. And when we’re studying, Hermione is less tempted to bring up S.P.E.W. and her fight against house-elf enslavement. And that’s a good thing. It’s like school and her S.P.E.W. is the only thing she’s willing to make time for at the moment. And complaining that Ron seems to be head over heels about this Veela girl from Beauxbatons. Blaise told her to take matters into her own hand and just ask Ron out on a date or something. But Hermione is refusing to take the first step.
Draco and I also visited Hagrid this weekend. He was all dressed up and even tried to tame his hair. Draco joked later that maybe I should go over more often and maybe try to braid Hagrid’s hair into something decent. I told him my braiding skills were only for him and that resulted in a nice kissing match. But back to Hagrid. The Skrewts had started to kill each other and for a moment Draco was hoping we’d be done with them. But Hagrid had put them in separate boxes, so there still like twenty of them. Hagrid made us some lunch and we had a good time catching up with him. When we left his cabin, Madame Maxime (the headmistress of Beauxbatons) passed by and Hagrid was blushing. He looked at her like he looked at his baby dragon and it’s clear that he’s smitten.
Well, that all for now. I’m going to brush my teeth and get ready for bed. Got lots of schoolwork to do again tomorrow. I’ll let you know who will become Hogwarts Champion when I write to you again.
Love you,
Harry James Potter.

It’s been a difficult week leading up to my period again, not feeling totally myself. Sometimes during this time things that usually work for me don’t. I am still learning to accept this period before my period and let things run their course a bit more. My instinct is to be continually productive and during this time I have realise I have to slow down and be ok with being more than doing but it is hard, it is so very hard. Still trying to create boundaries between my work and rest and when I see and don’t see Tom, I feel like we are getting there slowly but surely however I am realising that with this kind of thing you just have to make mistakes to make it right but again this is something I find uncomfortable but I am trying to learn to lean into it and accept.
On a positive note the weather continues to be glorious and I managed to get out for a walk again this week. I do tend to find walking in this hotter weather more challenging, it is a definite change in the seasons and it takes time to adapt to however it is lovely that the ground is now dry and the sky continues to be a cloudless blue.

The bluebells are starting to peep out this week, we even have a few in our garden but it is exciting to see that they will explode in a couple of weeks.

I have been listening and watching some wonderful music this week, I feel like this seems to be a much softer and more peaceful time for music. I have been listening to and watching beautiful things from Dizreali, including this Live Stream. It is so nice to see him do an acoustic set again and bring back some of his older music, definitely still my favourite way to watch him perform. He really is a musical genius and his performance is still jaw dropping and comfortable even during a live stream, the first I’ve seen yet. We watched this and caught up with my wonderful friend Emma who has sadly had to cut short her ski season and many of her future plans being a wandering nomad of sorts. Wishing her lots of love and luck for the future, luckily, like us she is an artist so as always there is much to be getting on with. She creates beautiful drawings of nature and creatures and often puts these on t-shirts. I have been wearing the two I have bought from her a lot these days as they seem to be a comfort to me.

It says everything is going to be ok which is true and needs to be heard a lot these days. Dizreali also put out another radio show this week which had the theme of calm, again absolutely brilliant.

Been playing these two songs a lot more since hearing them on his show:

Laura Marling’s new album has also unexpectedly come out this Friday which is very reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, as always but it is very healing to listen to at the moment. Particularly liking these two at the moment:

I received a message from my dear friend Steve on Friday, knowing how much I love Laura Marling, so nice to hear from him, I hope he’s doing ok. It has been a good week for connecting with true friends which is so needed during this time, had lovely long chats with both Anna and Sarah this week. Anna and I had a great discussion of cycles in life and how they are inescapable and the best way to work with them is to accept and trust that everything has its time and place.
We’ve had another good yet slightly surreal weekend. Continued to clear up the front and back gardens which are looking so much better now and we are now thinking about what the next best step forward is. It has been such a blessing to do some real work to the house together, something we rarely have time or e energy to do in the ‘real world’. It is nice because I actually want to spend time outside in our garden which just gives us a bit more space. Margaret and Dave very kindly send us some Aperol and Prosecco in the post which was a lovely surprise so we’ve been spending evenings outside drinking Aperol Spritz which is very summery indeed!

We just about managed to make a roast lamb yesterday, it has been a bit of a saga, we’ve never done proper roast lamb before and so trying to decided what and how to cook took up copious amounts of time this week. We finally decided on a standard leg of lamb only to find when we opened it on Sunday morning that it was well and truly off, Tom being a superstar that he is managed to find probably the only two bits of lamb left in the whole of Brighton that day in an M&S. They were already cooked so we just plonked them on our veg at the end but it turned out to be pretty good in the end! And I managed to use a bit of mint we found in the garden!

We also discovered Rob Delaney’s bonkers but brilliant stand up on Saturday night. Tom has also been missing the football so as a treat he showed me the legendary Liverpool Barcelona 4-0 semi-final champions league match and it was fantastic and I realised I’d been missing it a bit too. The best bit of all though had to be the end, the amount of love and joy in the stadium is just incredible and almost made me cry!
