S.O.T DEBUT MINI ALBUM - PART ONE [2015]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
— PART ONE was the debut mini album released by Triptych subunit, S.O.T on July 3rd, 2015. The trio makes a bold entrance to the kpop scene with confident and charismatic tracks like their title track, WASABI, as well as b-sides YEAH YEAH YEAH and FEUGO. The girls explore a variety of genres with their first collection of tracks, including pop, rnb, hip-hop, and EDM, showing their versatility. With the promise of empowering listeners and fans, PART ONE is full of dance-able and catchy songs that will boost anyone’s confidence.
Tumblr media
△ TRACK BY TRACK.
1] WASABI
A smooth and sexy pop track oozes confidence and charisma. With the goal in mind of making listeners feel unstoppable, the girls delivered with sharp lyrics and a catchy chorus. For their debut song, they wanted a song that grabbed people’s attention, and they certainly succeeded.
Writing credits go to all three girls.
The line distribution for this song can be found here.
2] YEAH YEAH YEAH
Having been in the spotlight since before their debut, the girls have been receiving disapproving words from critics since their trainee days. This pop track is a direct response to those who don’t support them, basically saying that they aren’t listening.
Written by all three girls.
3] DOWN
With lyrics that are catchy and memorable, the S.O.T girls bring forward a dance track that would fit right into a club’s playlist. This song was created from Zim making up her own song on the fly while the three girls were dancing around their kitchen. The final product was polished up by producers and writers.
Writing credits go to Zim and Yen.
4] FUEGO
Another charismatic EDM track that focuses on being one’s own hype man. With fiery imagery in their lyrics, the girls instill listeners with confidence and hype.
Written by Yen and Nia.
5] WOMAN
One of the first controversial songs released by Triptych. This song takes a feminist perspective on their current society. The girls received a lot of backlash for putting out such a blunt song, but it remains a fan-favorite.
Written by all three girls.
6] PICTURE PERFECT
The last song on the mini album closes out with an upbeat poppy reflection on how far the girls have come since their predebut days and how they are finally seeing their dreams fold out right in front of them.
Written by all three girls.

△ THIS ERA.
First off, they had a good amount of hype surrounding their debut thanks to the highly successful HBH Trainees 2014 project that they were apart of.
Nia was easily one of the most popular trainees, so her debut alone was enough to gather lots of attention from the general public.
Because of their dedicated pre-debut fanbase, they were able to score their first music show win just a week after their debut.
Their debut music video gathered 3.5 million views within the first 24 hours, which was a lot for an HBH group at the time.
Shortly after their debut, knets were quick to criticize the girls. One of the biggest things they got attacked for was being accused of copying EXID’s charismatic charm.
Even though S.O.T and EXID never had any personal beef, Leggos and Artychs used to not get along at all because of these accusations.
However, the air was cleared greatly when S.O.T and EXID performed a collaboration stage together at MAMA 2015.
They went on Weekly Idol the day after they got their first win and it was very clear to viewers that Yen did not like Doni and Coni at all. A lot of reaction memes were birthed from that episode.
Speaking of episodes, their YouTube show, Triptych TV, kicked off this era! It showed fans a more relaxed and goofy side of the girls.
Some episodes included the girls promoting their mini album at a cafe, designing each other’s dream rooms, and doing mundane activities like grocery shopping and cooking.
As far as individual popularity goes, Nia was easily the most popular, closely followed by Zim, then Yen. Yen was only not so popular because people thought she had a bad attitude(and she lowkey did oop)
Yen also wasn’t so popular because she seemed to hang around male idols quite a lot. People accused her of dating almost every male idol she was seen around.
Zim also was also dealing with body-shaming comments around the time of her debut, as she gained quite a bit of weight since her brief hiatus during her trainee days.
On the surface, things looked pretty fine, but behind the scenes, the girls were not doing so well. All of them were taking a mental toll on the drama they got caught up in.
Tensions were high between members for a while. There was a period of time where they straight up didn’t get along (and you can kind of tell by their earlier performances - their chemistry is totally off).
But towards the end of this era, things started getting better. Their friendship strengthened, they got the recognition they deserved, and their fan base grew tremendously.
Tumblr media
△ ERA FASHION.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Primary colors were a must. Each girl wore their representative color on stage all the time. There was a time where the company wanted them to wear their respected colors off stage (at variety shows, airport, etc.) but then they decided against it because that’s cheesy and controlling.
A lot of fake fur (”I would rather show up naked than wear real fur.” - Yen, 2015).
A lot of checkered prints.
Baggy cargo pants with boots.
As far as hair goes:
Nia had shoulder length black hair with bangs. They kept it really simple, yet recognizable for their leader and center.
Zim had black hair that faded into yellow. Her hair was so fried from having to re-dye it every other week that during TROMME’s debut period and S.O.T’s rest period, she had to cut her hair.
Yen had long dark brown hair that was ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS either in dutch braids or pigtails. They tried to give her like the ‘bratty maknae’ look to match her bratty maknae personality.
Tumblr media
△ FANDOM BEHAVIORS.
During fansigns, fans proved to be just as funny in person as they are online.
S.O.T would always die laughing at every fansign, which gave some great photos for fansites.
Artych’s formed a really great bond with the girls because they were always so respectful?
Like they would hold up red ribbons together at airports to prevent the girls from getting mobbed.
The only downside of Artychs this era was the beef that they had with Leggos online. It got pretty out-of-hand sometimes, giving Artychs a bit of a bad rep.
However, they were all pretty chill for the most part.

JANUARY 1ST, 2020
Geonwu’s fist collided with Seokyu’s apartment door several times.  “Dude, you’re gonna break his door.” Ji commented.  “If he doesn’t open the fuck up, I might just have to!” Geonwu growled, knocking on the door one more time.  Woodam sighed and shoved Geonwu aside, typing in the key code to Seokyu’s apartment. The door unlocked with a click, and the door was swung open. “You couldn’t have done that earlier?” Minho questioned, thinking about all the time they spent causing a commotion in the hallway. “I was hoping I didn’t have to, but something seems wrong...” Woodam’s voice drifted as he looked around the apartment.  Seokyu’s apartment was clean as always, but Woodam was right, something did seem off about the living space. The whole apartment seemed to be dead silent, like it was holding it’s breath.
“Seokyu?” Kane called out. The name hung in the air, but no response was given. The six men looked between each other. All the anger in Geonwu’s face melted away. Something definitely wasn’t right.
Minho lead the way to Seokyu’s bedroom in the back. Inside the room was a mess of clothes hanging out of drawers and various suitcases were left open by his closet. The most unsettling thing about the room was Seokyu’s cellphone, which was left right in the middle of his bed.
“Seokyu?” Kane called his friend’s name out one more time. The boys searched the apartment, but there was no sign of their beloved member.
Minho ran his hand through his hair. “Quick, someone call HBH. We need to call the police.”
Tumblr media
To prevent any unwanted press and publicity, HBH hired their own personal investigator, Detective Min. Hak Bonghwa as well as Vice’s manager accompanied the detective to the apartment. After taking a quick sweep for evidence, the only thing collected was Seokyu’s cellphone.
“Well, I can take this in for finger printing and searching. Maybe there will be some evidence on his device.” Detective Min reported, although he sounded bored. “Unfortunately, there’s not much I can do.” “What do you mean?” Minho asked, not believing the words he was hearing. “I mean,” Detective Min addressed Minho. “If there’s no sign of struggle, which there clearly wasn’t, and there’s nothing that might suggest a break in, then right now I’m forced to believe that Seokyu ran away by sheer will. In that case, there’s not much I can do for a runaway adult.” “Ran away?” Kane asked. “Why would Seokyu run away?”  Detective Min shrugged, reaching into his suit pocket. “My guess is as good as yours. Hopefully, the testing we do on his phone might give us some answers. Until then, if you fellas have any further evidence that comes up, give me a call.” He handed out his own personal business cards before seeing himself out.
Tumblr media
JANUARY 4TH, 2020
“They’re calling off the case?” Minho exclaimed, a look of anger and disbelief etched over his face. Hak Bonghwa sighed, tenting his fingers together in front of him.
“Detective Min couldn’t find anything on Seokyu’s phone other than train schedules to Suwon and photos of his grandmother. There are no convincing leads and they wont dispatch anyone to search for Seokyu without a strong lead.” Hak Bonghwa explained. “I’m sorry boys, but Seokyu must have just ran away.”
“And you’re just going to let him? You’re going to let one of your best vocalists just get up and walk away?” Cyth asked furiously.
“Legally, he’s not under my concern anymore,” Hak Bonghwa reminded them gently. “He never resigned his contract, and by the looks of it, he’s not going to make the deadline on the tenth. For now, Vice will have to continue as six members. I hope you understand.”
Anger and frustration radiated off the Vice members, each of them trying to get themselves under control before they said something offensive to their boss. Realizing that there was nothing more to be said, Minho thanked Bonghwa for his time and got his group out of his office.
“Now what? Are we just supposed to carry on without Seokyu?” Joongji asked, his voice tight. The members stayed silent as they made their way to the elevator and down to the garage.
“There has to be something in his apartment.” Woodam pondered out loud as they walked across the garage to their respected cars. “I’m gonna swing by his place one last time, if anyone wants to join.”
Tumblr media
After hours of searching through Seokyu’s whole apartment, Kane emerged from his bedroom with a piece of paper in his hands.
“Guys! Check this out!” He called his groupmates over. The boy group gathered around the flyer in Kane’s hand. It was an advertisement for an open mic event at a bar in Suwon. The date, January 3rd, was circled. “Didn’t Bonghwa say that the police found train schedules to Suwon in his search history?” Kane asked excitedly. “The open mic was yesterday, he must have gone!” Geonwu snapped his fingers. “Everyone check twitter. Our fans must have seen him there!”  Everyone pulled out their cellphones and sneaked onto their fake stan accounts, searching their timelines to see if anyone had spotted their groupmate, but nothing was reported.
“Well, I guess this means we’re just going to have to find him ourselves.” Minho concluded. Ji looked up from his phone with a perplexed look on his face. “Wait a minute, what kind of Paper Towns bullshit is this? Are you saying we’re going to follow Seokyu around the country?”  “Yes.” Minho replied. “Why wouldn’t we? He’s like a brother to us.” “Yeah, but we have promotions and-”  “Joongji.” Cyth frowned, arching an accusing eyebrow at Ji. “You almost cried this morning in Hak Bonghwa’s office over Seokyu. Don’t you want to find him?”  “Of course I do.”  “Then stop worrying about fucking promotions and get a move on.” Cyth rolled his eyes, already heading for the door. “The next train to Suwon leaves in thirty minutes!”

NEW_DECADE [EP.2]
Tumblr media
Summary: The female trainees prepare for their opening showcase at the end of January. Rushi wonders how she can make friends that aren’t Haeun.  GENRE: comedy  PAIRING: mostly platonic!rushi + haeun, but the start of hbh20g WORD COUNT: 0.9k WARNINGS: mentions of alcohol consumption and underage drinking.
Tumblr media
Rushi hit the pause button on her cellphone, pausing the newly-recorded studio version of the female trainee’s cover of Lost by BTS. The choreography the girls had come up with was a little more difficult than what they were used to practicing, but Rushi assumed they could keep up with the choreography that Hyebin had designed. Unfortunately, her teammates were still lacking greatly.
The Chinese trainee ran a palm down her face, feeling itchy from the stress she was under. “Okay, so, talk to me,” Rushi turned to the girls in front of her. “What’s not working?”
None of the other girls said anything. Rushi sighed bitterly. She knew that she could come off as intimidating, but this was downright ridiculous.
“Alright, since everyone else is afraid of me,” Rushi turned to her closest friend, who was wiping sweat from her hairline. “Haeun! What’s not working, baby cakes?”
The other girls let out small chuckles at the pet name. Haeun’s cheeks turned slightly pink, but she answered clearly. “I think it’s a matter of timing. I notice that Yeseo seems to be half a beat behind, which throws off Bian and Seolhee behind her.”
Rushi nodded, understanding where the problem laid. “Okay, then can Yeseo, Bian, and Seolhee try the chorus for me one last time?” Rushi asked. The three trainee girls nodded, although none of them looked thrilled to be called out. Rushi rewound the music before pressing start again.
While the girls danced, Rushi squatted down in front of them, keeping a careful eye on their movements. Right where they messed up last time, Rushi noticed that Yeseo’s foot balance was off, causing her to be behind.
“Ah-ha!” Rushi paused the music, rocketing herself up to her feet and striding over to Yeseo. The newer trainee flinched a little as Rushi got closer, but the Chinese trainee ignored her.
“Yeseo, when you’re doing this move,” Rushi did the footwork. “Your balance needs to be on the balls of your feet. If you use all your weight on your heels, you wont be able to get to the next position in time.”
“Oh!” Yeseo sighed in understanding. “Try it out for me, just by yourself.” Rushi requested. The girl obliged, trying the footwork while Rushi sang and clapped her hands to the beat of the song. Sure enough, Yeseo got it right.
“Fantastic! Now, you two join in, ready?” Rushi addressed the other two, who hurriedly got into position. Rushi sang again, completing the chorus. When the three girls danced through the whole chorus, Rushi let out a very loud round of applause.
“My god, they’ve got it! I think that deserves a quick water break.” Rushi announced. The trainees eagerly split up into groups, taking sips of water and stretching around the practice room.
Haeun came over with her water bottle in one hand and Rushi’s water bottle in the other. “Thank you, honey bunches of oats.” Rushi accepted the water bottle taking a sip. “You’re the only bitch I trust in this house.”  Haeun shushed her friend. “You shouldn’t say that. If they overhear you-”  “So what? It’s a joke.” Rushi rolled her eyes, trying not to get too annoyed. “They’d understand the joke if they actually talked to me.”  “Kotori and Bora talk to you.” Haeun reasons. “Yeah, barely.” Rushi frowned.
Haeun sighed, looking over at the clusters of female trainees. “I kinda understand where they’re coming from, though. You do have a resting bitch face.”  Rushi scoffed, taking another sip of water. “I’m not a terrible person, though.”  “No, not always.” Haeun smirked, bringing her water bottle to her lips. “What do you mean, ‘not always’?” Rushi gave an identical smirk, shoving Haeun with her hand.  “No comment.” Haeun chuckled. Rushi let out a laugh, rolling her eyes at her friend. “But I think they wanna talk to you,” Haeun finished her thought from earlier. “But you’re gonna have to make the first move.”
Rushi clicked her tongue, surveying the girls in front of her, wondering how on Earth she was going to get these tightly-wound young women to be her friend. Then, an idea came to her mind that was so genius, she cursed herself for not thinking of it before. “Vodka.”
“Ru, it’s only eleven o’clock.” Haeun gave her friend a concerned look.
“No, Haeun. I mean why not throw a little mixer at our dorm? We used to do that all the time last year, but I’ve never once seen these girls with an ounce of alcohol in them.” Rushi realized. “Some of them are underage.”  “That law has literally never stopped anyone ever. Plus the youngest is what, seventeen? That’s only a year off from eighteen.” Rushi reasoned. “We could just have like, a sleepover or something? Do a little spa night?” Haeun offered the safe alternative. Rushi chewed on her lower lip, having a moment of dejavu. “You sound just like Nia.”  Haeun furrowed her eyebrows. “What, no I don’t!”  “Oh my god, you’re my Yerin, I’m your Jaehwa. How cute.” Rushi pouted. “Yeah, except we’re not fucking.” Haeun chuckled.  “Not yet, anyway.” Rushi winked sarcastically. Their impromptu mock-flirting almost sidetracked Rushi. “Oh, you distracted me. Hold on,”  “Wait, Ru-”  Rushi brought her hands together in a loud clap, gaining the attention from the other trainees, who all looked over at her with a frightened expression.
“So... What are y’all doing Friday night?” Rushi asked, a wicked look in her eyes.

The Sisters
Tumblr media
KOBAYASHI EMIKO + SONG DAN BI . DANIKO
Flo and Eliza are complete opposites, yet they complement each other so well.
Eliza tends to get quite restless and hyper so, in times like this, Flo will gently pull her to the side and sit with her until she’s calm and refocused.
Flo doesn’t talk much and likes to keep to herself, and Eliza respects that. However, during things like vlives, fan signs, and variety shows, Eliza is the first person Flo will turn to in order to help her come out of her shell and get involved.
Basically soulmates who’d be lost without each other.
Tumblr media
TANG MEIZHEN + EMMA KING . TANGKANG
Babies! Actually pretty chill for the maknaes; don’t tend to cause too much havoc.
When they’re not pestering their unnies, they can be found in Emma’s dorm room, practicing English under a giant blanket fort or reading whilst snuggled up; Molly loves to just lie with her head on Emma’s lap whilst she reads aloud to her in English, even though half the time she has no idea what she’s saying.
Molly used to give Emma Mandarin lessons...but that all stopped when she found out that Emma is practically fluent in the language already.
Overall, TangKang is a squishy, cuddle-buddy ship that everyone adores!
Tumblr media
LIN MINGXIA + TANG MEIZHEN . MINGZHEN
Rewind’s China-line! Molly and Mae are each others emotional-support buddy; they go to each other whenever they feel homesick and just rant in Mandarin.
Don’t initiate skinship too often, but will occasionally lock pinkies if they’re stood together.
Mae is in love with Molly’s little sister, Meixiu; she peeks over Molly’s shoulder when her family’s facetiming.
Just a precious ship.
Tumblr media
CHOI BONG CHA + ROSY MOON . MOONCHOI
Rewind’s leader and fake-leader.
It’s a known fact that Clara was supposed to be Rewind’s leader, however she thought Rosie was much better suited to the job, so she stepped down.
Even though this may be true, Rosie still has her days where it all gets too much and she feels the pressure. This is where Clara steps in to offer her kind words of encouragement and advice if she really, truly needs it, but at the same time reassures her that if she didn’t honestly believe that Rosie was capable of the leader position, she would not have stepped down.
We love supportive mother Clara!
Tumblr media
CHOI BONG CHA + EMMA KING . EMARA
The eldest and the maknae! Now I don’t wanna say that Clara mothers Emma...but Clara mothers Emma, it’s as simple as that.
If Emma’s feeling sick, Clara’s there with medicine and a bowl of chicken soup. If Emma’s hungry, Clara’s there with a big bag of snacks. If Emma’s upset, Clara’s there with tissues and open arms ( I think you get the gist).
Clara loves Emma with all her heart and vice versa; Clara’s her older sister away from home.
Pretty much just your basic mother-daughter ship that Nctzens can’t seem to get enough of.
Tumblr media
ROSY MOON + JULIETTE LECLAIR . ROLIE
Even though she didn't show it, Julie was extremely nervous upon joining the group. She kept to herself for the first day or two. That is until Rosie, being the good leader that she is, took her under her wing. Because of this, Rosie's the first person that she really got close to in the group, and they'll always have that special bond.
They're pretty similar, personality wise; quiet, preferring to observe rather than speak. They stick to each other on variety shows and during interviews.
Rosie's managed to convince the stylists to let Julie have a hand in the styling process for their mvs and stage performances. She loves watching Julie be totally in her element.
Honestly, anyone would believe that they're long-lost sisters at this rate.
Tumblr media
KOBAYASHI EMIKO + OKAMOTO HOSHI . EMISHI
To say Emiko was gobsmacked upon finding out Okamoto Hoshi was joining NCT, I really, truly mean it. Not only was she gonna have another female Japanese member to talk to, but a former member of Morning Musume?? Someone pinch her, she must be dreaming!
Hoshi's Korean still isn't all that great, so she's so relieved that Emi's around to help translate for her, if need be.
Emiko is teaching her how to bake; Calls Hoshi her little prodigy. They video call Emi's grandmother, Maemi, as moral support.
A cutie and her mini-me.

▸ GENRE: drama  ▸ PAIRING: technically ot16. ▸ WORD COUNT: 1.0k ▸ WARNINGS: none ▸ A/N: this one’s kind of a big post, but that’s because it’s their first showcase and I had to write for their whole day instead of like, an hour of their time. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
“What are the chances of our showcase falling on Friday the 13th?” Eunha chuckled as the girls piled into the company’s minivan.
“Dude, please don’t jinx us.” Rushi groaned, settling in the farthest back seat with Haeun. Haneul nodded in agreement, looking a little frightful. In fact, everyone looked a little nervous this morning.
“Don’t worry, we’re going to give our best possible stage. We’ll all do well.” Yerin insisted, sensing the other’s distress.
“Especially since we’ve been training so hard,” Nari added. Yerin nodded to that. They were extremely well prepared. The last week of rehearsals went by very smoothly with barely any mistakes or mishaps. If you asked Yerin, they looked ready for debut.
“We got this ladies, we’re gonna crush it.” Soyeon clapped her hands together just as the minivan started rolling out of the parking lot.
Tumblr media
Ten minutes before the show started, Jaehwa and Yerin pulled everyone together for a brief moment.
“Alright, this is what we’ve been working towards our whole training period.” Yerin stated, looking everyone in their eyes. “Whatever superstitions you may have about today shouldn’t hold any weight. We are all talented and skilled enough to make this performance run as smoothly as practice. Don’t get nervous. We’re all here together.”
“Yeah, exactly. Give it your best shot.” Jaehwa followed up simply, placing his hand in. Everyone else laid their hands on top of his. They pulsed their hands once, twice, before letting them fly in the air with a “HBHT14!”
The first set belonged to the girls. The audience went absolutely mental when the lights flew on, revealing the nine girls at last. The music started and the girls performed their hearts out, putting every ounce of passion into their dance and song. The performance went smoothly, and by the end of their first song, it was hard for them not to beam with self-pride.
The rest of their stage seemed to last only a few seconds. Once they exited the stage, Haneul and Micha couldn’t help but break down into tears. Arms wrapped around arms as the girls tightened themselves into a group hug. Everyone murmured comforting and supportive words to each other before releasing.
When the boys passed them back stage, they gave them a round of applause. The girls wiped away their tears and gave polite claps back.
“You guys did amazing! Don’t cry!” Asahiko assured them, reaching his hand out to a teary-eyed Micha. Micha took his hand, shaking it a little before releasing.
“We’re just happy. Go out there and you’ll understand.” Haeun explained.
The boys understood the wave of emotion that came over the girls. Once on stage, Asahiko could practically feel the energy radiating off him. This was electrifying. This is what he dreamed of. He soaked in every moment, willing himself to remember every detail of this night. When he got off stage, he felt his heart swell with emotion. Saito caught on to Asahiko’s vibe, draping an arm around the other Japanese man.
“We did it,” Saito spoke to Asahiko in their native language, leading him backstage. “Our hard work finally paid off.”
Asahiko nodded, unsure if he could speak without crying harder. They passed B.A.D, the girl’s project subunit when they turned the corner.
“OOH!” The four girls cooed when they saw Asahiko’s teary expression. He bashfully hid his face in the crook of his elbow. He felt hands pry away his arm. “You did well, Koko.” Micha’s comforting voice soothed Asahiko. He lowered his arms and accepted her hug, trying not to get any tear stains on her costume.
“We’ll check in later, we gotta get to stage.” Soyeon explained, not stopping her walking pace as the girls hurried off down the hallway to the stage.
Tumblr media
Asahiko went into the third dressing room, a spare room that was dedicated to broadcasting the performance onto a television that was set up. There were also some food and drinks laid out for them. Asahiko grabbed a water bottle and sat in one of the fold out chairs next to Rushi, who was watching the four girls start their first of three songs.
“Kinda unfair, isn’t it?” Rushi commented, watching the show with a look of slight bitterness. Asahiko shifted uncomfortably. He, like many of the other trainees not picked for a subunit performance, felt like there was some extreme favoritism going on at the company. He never said anything because he didn’t want to go against his best friend Micha, who was apart of the B.A.D subunit. The trainees did have some unsettling tension between them when the lineup was first announced, but he had hoped that it would have died down by now.
Rushi must have noticed Asahiko’s expression, because she huffed mirthlessly. “Never mind, I shouldn’t have brought it up around you. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for them. But the blatant favoritism… just gets to me, bro.”
“No, I get you.” Asahiko nodded. “But you never know, maybe we’ll be placed in subunits soon too.”
Rushi gave a small smile. “You’re like a puppy.”
Asahiko didn’t know how to respond, so he didn’t. He watched as the girls finished their stage, walking away from the deafening crowd. The boys subunit, W.I.N, replaced them on stage.
The more he watched their performance, the more Asahiko realized that Rushi was absolutely right. How come only the popular members were picked for being in the line up? Where was Asahiko’s chance to display his talent? He tried not to feel too jealous, but the jaded feeling was still there when his friends finished their set, signalling the rest of them to start getting ready for the finale stage.
Tumblr media
Injung looked around him as the confetti encased his members. The sight was something he didn’t want to ever forget. He tried to take as many mental pictures at once. Micha and Asahiko scooping up confetti and throwing it at each other. Click. Yerin’s arm around Nari’s shoulder as they sang. Click. Yeetai getting on Daehyun’s back, waving to fans. Click.
All these memories that he would store in his heart until the end of time. When the song started to end, he fell in line next to everyone else, linking hands together and bowing as one. As they waved goodbye one last time, Injung wished it could be like this forever.

The Visionary would have been kinda hot if she wasn’t such a nut bag.
She had nice tanned skin with nice chest to waist to hip proportions. She had the longest black hair that they’ve ever seen and dark mysterious eyes. What ruined the appeal to Ji was the fact that she had a little bit of white powder on the corner of her nostril. He checked the hand that was currently fiddling with the crystal dangling from her neck. Sure enough, her pinky nail was longer than the others. A coke nail. The detective skills he developed from this adventure were really paying off.
“Oh, do you like my necklace?” The Visionary, birth name Oh Eunjoo, asked, giving Ji what he thinks might have been a seductive gaze. “I sell them... This one’s boosting my feminine vibrations.” She winked.  “Ah.” Ji pursed his lips. Never mind, she’s not hot anymore. What did Seokyu see in this woman?
The had found The Visionary Psychic Reading building a block or so away from the bar. When the folks back at the bar told Vice that Seokyu was seen leaving with a woman, Ji was convinced they had Seokyu mistaken for someone else. Seokyu was probably the biggest virgin Ji has ever met. He’d be way too anxious to have a one night stand with some random woman.
But the more Eunjoo talked, the more Ji realized that she really had met their Seokyu. She described him in an oddly specific way, right down to the three little moles under his eye.
“Miss Oh,” Minho steered the conversation back to the important things. “Did S- I mean Kyu- tell you where he was heading?”
“Hm, let me think.” Eunjoo sighed, looking off into the distance. “His soul is so restless... I could feel his tormented energy when we made love. Tragic and beautiful, all wrapped into one, immaculate vessel. It was my pleasure to give him the best sexual healing experience he’s ever had, after the last one took a piece of his soul with her.”  The other six men fell into an uncomfortable silence. Geonwu arched an eyebrow and picked up the tea cup that Eunjoo had given them, taking a very audible slurp. “He told me that he was a college drop out. He wanted to experience the little joys before being forced back into the working world. He said he was clinging to his last strands of youth...” Eunjoo seemed to swoon a little, but Ji also figured that could be the high starting to come down. “He wanted to visit Yosu. He said he’s never been.”
“Yosu?” Woodam repeated. “Why the hell would he go to Yosu?”  “To live!” Eunjoo said dramatically, as if she was reading off an indie movie script. Ji rubbed his temples and leaned forward in his chair. “Listen, Miss Oh, is there anyway that you can like... Predict where he is in Yosu? Maybe consult the tarot?” Ji asked, his patience growing thin with this woman.
Eunjoo gave an offended gasp. “The tarot is not a tool to use so freely!” “What about tea leaves? Cartomancy? Anything?” Ji asked. “You’re insulting my line of work!” Eunjoo huffed, turning her head away from Ji. “How dare I be made a fool of in my own space.” “Besides,” Eunjoo continued. “I have already consulted the tarot on Seokyu while he was here. He needs to travel on his own, to find himself. The cards expressed struggles with work and friendships and... love life.” The woman said the last phrase like it was soaked in vinegar. “The best thing you can do for your friend is to let him be free! Now, I have an appointment scheduled in thirty minutes and I’m hardly prepared!”
The boy group left The Visionary and made their way to the street corner where Geonwu ordered an Uber Black to come pick them up to bring them back to Minho’s apartment to recuperate.
“What she said about love life... Do you think...” Woodam asked, looking between the members. “Something to do with Jimin?” Kane posed. Everyone knew that Jimin, Promise’s leader, had a bit of a crush on Seokyu. It was supposed to be just a harmless crush, but the way Eunjoo mentioned his love life and past relationships, it seemed like it was a little more serious than they thought. "I wonder how Jimin will react when she finds out that she fucked Seokyu so good, it broke his soul.” Ji voiced out loud. Kane snorted. Minho glared at Ji. “That’s a little crude. No one should mention this to Jimin, by the way.” Minho insisted just as the Uber Black pulled up. “What happened at The Visionary, stays at The Visionary.” Ji smirked before hopping into the SUV.

Finality
Summary: Daisuke formally is removed from Produce 101. He parts with his new friends at the airport.
                             ⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷ ⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷
Haneda airport was crowded with tourists, business people, and other travelers, yet Daisuke managed to get through without having anyone bump into his sling. That was mostly thanks to the squadron of young men surrounding Daisuke as they made their way to his gate. In just an hour, Daisuke would be on a flight back to Korea. Everything seemed too surreal for him. He was still in denial about his departure from Produce 101, despite the news articles being released this morning confirming his leave.
He wasn’t expecting anyone to accompany him to the airport, but Heecheon, Yoondong, Younghoon, Ren, Takumi, Issei, and Kosuke all came with him to send him off. There definitely would have been more press and fans around, but all the boys were covered up in hats and masks. Their identity was hard to pin, especially when they looked just like any other traveler.
Once they reached Daisuke’s gate, that sinking feeling of finality came back to Daisuke’s stomach. He felt it when he finished packing his last suitcase in the dorms, and again when the remaining trainees following the elimination round stood outside their doors that morning to watch him leave.
“You have everything? Your friend is going to meet you when you land?” Heecheon checked one last time. Daisuke managed a small huff of a laugh. He felt like he was leaving one parent to go visit the other. He was going to miss Heecheon’s parenting.
“Yes. If I forgot anything at the dorms, you guys can keep it.” Daisuke gave a small smile. The boys in front of him tried to return the same, but it was hard. They had spent every single day together for the past several weeks. It was the end, but it felt like there should have been more. So many memories that could have been made together would never happen. Their time together had been cut short, and that was the worst of it all.
Daisuke’s throat tightened at the thought. He licked his lips before speaking, trying not to think that this will most likely be the last time they’re all here together.
“I-I want you guys to know that I had a lot of fun.” Daisuke got out. “And that I’m not upset about losing the competition. I’m mostly upset about leaving you guys.”
Takumi sniffled, wiping under his eyes with his thumb. Ren’s arm wrapped around the strawberry-haired boy, but even his eyes were glossing over with fresh tears.
“But in a way, I think this was destiny.” Daisuke continued. “Just like how all of us meeting together on Produce was destiny. We’re going to meet again, just under better circumstances. Hopefully where I don’t have a bum arm.” He gestured to his sling, causing the boys around him to chuckle.
“Daisuke, you’re gonna go far. I know you will, kid.” Kosuke came up and patted his head in a brotherly way. “Focus on getting better. I’ll defiantly be keeping tabs on you.” “That sounded mildly threatening, but I appreciate it.” Daisuke grinned. Kosuke chuckled and backed up so the others could say goodbye.
“It sucks that I can’t even give you a proper goodbye hug.” Younghoon complained, but he stepped forward and gingerly wrapped an arm around Daisuke. “Rest up, okay? And promise you’ll call?” “God, you’re worse than Heecheon.” Daisuke laughed. “But yes. I will call. And I will be watching you guys from Korea.” “Use your votes on me!” Kosuke raised his hand as if he was in a classroom. The boys laughed as Daisuke nodded. “I’ll be splitting my votes up between all of you. You guys deserve debut, and you will make it. I know you will.” Daisuke said firmly.
“You will too.” Ren affirmed, coming over to give his friend a gentle goodbye hug. “When you debut, just remember that we are your first and biggest Japanese fanbase.”  “I couldn’t forget it.” Daisuke swore.
Above them, an announcement alerted travelers that the flight Daisuke was taking home would be landing shortly.
“That’s your cue.” Heecheon said sadly, taking in a deep breath. “One last group hug?” Takumi suggested. Everyone agreed, huddling together gingerly. When they separated, Daisuke grabbed the handle of his suitcase and took out his ticket from his pocket.
“Well, we’ll meet again soon.” Daisuke looked at everyone’s face one last time. “Good luck, boys. I’ll see you on the other side!”
As the trainee waved and turned his back on his new friends, he could hear them clapping together as he walked away. A smile formed on his lips as he looked back over his shoulder. His friends clapped harder and more vigorously, as if this was the end of a spectacular performance.
He gave them a dramatic bow, causing them to laugh. When he rose up, he gave them a final wave before entering the gate.

The Family
Tumblr media
ROSY MOON + SEO YOUNG HO . RONNY
Johnny is weirdly protective over Rosie and no one knows why, not even Johnny. He knows she’s ( absolutely ) fully capable of taking care of herself, yet every time he’s around her, he just gets this strange urge to make sure she’s 100% ok.
He’s made it his mission to make her laugh at least once a day; honestly cannot get enough of her laugh, thinks it’s the cutest thing in the world!
Even though they both speak Korean fluently, they much prefer talking to each other in English, partly being because only a select few will be able to understand them, and the other part being so they can hear the other ones accent.
Finds her Australian accent so sexy, it’s insane; secretly watches compilations of her speaking English on youtube, and has a playlist of her unreleased demos that he listens to to help him fall asleep.
In conclusion, Johnny Seo is whipped for Rosy Moon.
Tumblr media
ROSY MOON + DONG SI CHENG . ROWIN
Shy dancing besties!
Rosie finds comfort in Sicheng's presence; She feels she can be herself around him.
Can either be found in the dance studio, playing around with choreos, or in Rosie's studio; Sicheng will just show up without a word, and sit on the couch on his phone, whilst she works.
He's also a good listener if she's had a rough day and just needs to rant, and vice versa.
Aren't as close nowadays as they used to be due to schedules not matching up, but know if ever in need they're just a phone call away.
Tumblr media
ROSY MOON + JUNG SUNG CHAN . SUNGNA
On joining the group, Rosie immediately adopted Sungchan as her son. Her extremely tall son, but her son nonetheless.
Was the first person to congratulate him on getting the mc'ing gig, and treated him to lunch to celebrate.
Sungchan has gotten into the habit of resting his chin on the top of Rosie's head.
Visited him on set of the 90s Love mv filming as moral support.
Has done everything in her power to make him feel as welcome to the group as possible, which Sungchan is extremely grateful for.
also close with taeil, taeyong & jaehyun.
.
Tumblr media
CHOI BONG CHA + MOON TAE IL . TAERA
The mother and father of NCT.
Their messages solely contain them bitching about the other members.
Bond over the fact that their talent is slept on.
Skinship is kept to a minimum, but will occasionally link arms.
On the off chance that Clara decides to sleep over at the 127 dorm, Taeil is the one she bunks with. Will stay up late together listening to music through Taeil’s headphones, and gently making conversation so as not to wake up Yuta.
Vocal gods. Nctzens have been begging for a duet, but SM are cowards who couldn’t handle the power.
Soft parents.
Tumblr media
CHOI BONG CHA + JEONG YOON OH . CLAROH
On camera this pair don't seem very close, off camera however, it's a different story.
It really is the little things when it comes to these two, like Jaehyun bringing an extra snack to schedules for her, cause he knows its very likely she'll forget to eat breakfast; or Clara sharing her water with him when he misplaces his during practice, a common occurrence.
Jaehyun's no.1 hypewoman. You know that one scene in Mean Girls of Regina's mum at the Christmas showcase? Yeah, that's Clara. She'll shout compliments to him during photoshoots and cheer him on for his solo scenes in mvs.
May or may not have had a slight crush on the older woman at one point. Says he's over it but her contact name in his phone is 'Dream Girl'. Like babes, you ain't fooling anyone.
also close with johnny, doyoung & haechan.
.
Tumblr media
LIN MINGXIA + LEE TAE YONG . TAELIN
Designated drinking buddies.
They feel comfortable talking about anything and everything with each other ( she's constantly asking him for dating advice ).
Rarely have schedules together, seeing as they're in separate units, but she'll visit him at his dorms any chance she gets.
Mae is the first person Taeyong calls when he wants to go out for a drink; Despite common belief, Mae can her liquor extremely well.
Honestly, she's his best friend.
Tumblr media
LIN MINGXIA + QIAN KUN . KAE
The cool aunt and uncle you wish you had.
She's his go-to for fashion advice.
Shopping partners. Their favourite thing to shop for is matching accessories.
As of recently, they're now scrapbooking buddies. Mae was more than happy to teach him the basics. They now set aside any time they have to scrapbook together, doing a little show and tell afterwards. Its almost like a therapy for them, especially during tour and long schedules.
Just like Clara is with Jaehyun, Mae is Kun's no.1 hypewoman, only times that by 100. Let's just say there's no doubting Kun's confidence when Mae's around.
What more can I say? They're just too cool.
Tumblr media
LIN MINGXIA + CHITTAPHON LEECHAIYAPORNKUL . TAE
Weren’t that close pre-debut. Started getting close during the Black on Black era.
Didn’t really get to know each other properly until the announcement of WayV. Now you barely see one without the other!
They tend to gravitate towards each other, no matter how hard the staff try to keep them apart.
Mae’s the one Ten goes to for help with his Mandarin; the two have little study sessions in their free time, usually featuring some sort of takeout and multiple blankets.
Dance legends. Nctzens went wild at Ten and Mae’s dance break in Black on Black. Talk about iconic.
Mae has Ten’s photo card from the Take Off era in the back of her phone case. He makes fun of her for that, which is a bit hypocritical seeing as she’s his home screen.

genre: fluff pairing: asa x yen word count: 0.3k warnings: some homesickness?
Tumblr media
JUNE 10TH 2014
Micha didn’t know what to do or say when she saw Asahiko cry for the first time. He supports her so much, she almost forgot that he needed support too. She felt guilty as she held his hand while he wiped his tears with the back of his free hand.
“I just really miss them.” Asahiko sniffled. He was homesick, very homesick, and his parents just called to tell him that they couldn’t afford to come visit him in Korea like they said they would. Unfortunately, Micha’s words weren’t as soothing as Asahiko’s and she wasn’t sure how to comfort him. He didn’t want to be hugged like she would have. Maybe he just wanted to get it off his chest.
“When’s the last time you’ve seen them in person?” Micha asked softly.
“Probably two years.” Asahiko said, exhaling deeply. Micha hummed in response.
“You don’t need to hold back with me. If you want to talk about it, you can.” Micha said in a gentle tone. That’s all Asahiko needed to hear before he went on a rant about how he wasn’t mad at his parents but he wished they financed better. He ranted about what he disliked about Korean society in comparison to Japanese society. He ranted about how unfair it was that plane tickets cost so much. He must have talked for over an hour, but by the end of it, he felt so much better.
“I know that was pretty heavy... Thank you.” Asahiko said genuinely when he finished speaking, his voice raw from crying.
“Back at it with the ‘thank you’, I see.” Micha teased. “You don’t need to thank me for being a friend.”
“I know, but I just want you to know how thankful I am.” Asahiko chuckled.
“I feel like all we do is say thank you.” Micha mused.
“I think bad things would happen if we were ever not saying thank you.”
