After the incident at the diner, Mark’s been distant with you. It’s not like he isn’t talking to you ,but it’s the smaller things that he used to do.

The boy looked down at your phone, wondering what you had to show him. It’s a video, what’s it’s of should not be described due to the bizarre and inappropriate nature of it. It did have something to do with a pineapple though.

“Why would she put it there?!” He’d say behind his hands as you cackle at his expression. You put your phone away, looking at Mark with sparkling eyes.

“It definitely was a video.” Is all he says as he goes back to his phone, mindlessly scrolling through Instagram with red ears.

You looked at him confused but didn’t think anything of it. Maybe it was just an off day for Mark, no big deal.

Except it happened again, and again, and again.

Each time making you grow more and more frustrated at the lack of response and sudden change in him. Where’s the weirdo you recruited as your best friend?! Because it definitely wasn’t this shy fucker sitting in front of you.

You finally decided that you were sick of Mark’s lack of communication and sudden attitude change. The next time he was over at your apartment, you were going to confront him.

The day had come and you were going to talk to Mark about whatever’s been going on with him. He texted you saying that he missed you, that he wanted to spend time with just you today. You accepted, already scripting out what you wanted to say to your best friend.

The time comes and you’re only slightly nervous. This was a normal friend talk, communication isn’t something that’s been an issue with you guys until now. You got this.

Your phone buzzes, a message from Mark shows up on your screen.

Open the door, its cold :(

You go to let him in, opening the door to the other in basketball shorts and a puffer jacket. On his feet were a pair of crocs. Of course he was fucking cold.

“So, you must want to get hypothermia.” You say, stepping aside to let the shivering boy in. He laughs a bit at your sarcasm, taking off his coat and throwing it on a near by chair.

You return with the blanket, sitting next to him as you cover the both of you with it. You sigh contentedly. You turn on the T.V., feeling Mark pull the blanket up to his neck as makes himself comfortable next to you. You both are watching cartoons peacefully until—

You look away from the T.V. to look at Mark with wide eyes, you haven’t heard him say something like that in weeks. Mark looks at you with the same expression, realizing what he had said.

The two of you burst out into a fit of giggles, you feel like a weight had been lifted, seeing he was back his old self. It made you happy, way happier than you’d expect.

The laughter dies down and you lean your head on Mark’s shoulder, turning your attention back to the cartoon.

“I was worried about you.” You say, keeping your eyes toward the show.

“Why?” You could feel him looking at you but you refuse to look up at him.

“You haven’t been joking with me lately, it’s been a while since I heard you say something like that.” You breathe out “I thought I crossed a line with you, made me feel bad.”

You finally look up to see him slightly frowning at you.

“No- no you didn’t do anything at all! I feel like it was more of a me thing. I didn’t mean to make you feel bad.” He says, wrapping an arm around you to pull you closer to him.

“I was gonna talk to you about it.” You say, pouting up at him. His frown softens as he looks at you with an unreadable expression. “I had a whole dialogue ready and everything.”

He swallows loudly, looking away, allowing you to the see his ears turn pink. You don’t say anything about it.

“There’s no need for it, it’s all good now.” He rubs your shoulder, shifting a little bit in his seat.

You two fall back into a comfortable silence, finding comfort in the old 2000s show you were watching. You subconsciously put your hand Marks thigh, making him jump a bit in his seat. You don’t seem to notice it though.

Or so he thinks.

You felt him jump a bit and you thought it might be because your hands are cold. You know, your hands that are under a blanket…

You hum in content leaving it at that. Continuing to watch the show.

You gasp, looking toward Mark whose eyes were drooping, staring at you with a look that you’ve never seen on him before. You were speechless, not used to Mark talking to you like this. You’re not letting him win this though.

“Too bad it’ll never happen. You’ll never get to see it.” You smile at him, thinking you had got him.

“You wouldn’t let me? It would be such a pretty picture, though; Would make it my lock screen just to see that pretty face covered in me all the time.”

Oh, you were weak. Hearing those words come from Mark was not something you were expecting but you didn’t hate it. At all. Then, he keeps going.

Mark finishes his shower and gets dressed in a fresh pair of sweat pants and a t-shirt. Walking out into the living room, he’s Donghyuck looking down at the phone in shock. He looks at him in confusion until the realization hit him. The Lock Screen was the very last photo you wanted to take.

Donghyuck turns to him in shock before shouting out in pure terror.

nari laughed as she sat in front of the camera, the practice room lighting highlighting her features. the voices behind the camera wouldn’t stop teasing her, doing even more when s.coups joined her. you could hear their hollering from far, the twelve man causing a ruckus inside the big room – that felt far too small from their presence.

“our beautiful couple!~”, teased seungkwan with a following whistle from jeonghan, the others laughing and keeping the mess going.

“let’s just get it over with!”, nari whined. “sit down!”

just like baby ducklings they immediately followed up with her order and sat down behind the couple, politely smiling and waving at the camera.

“hi! we are seventeen!”, they introduced themselves.

“and today these doofus-“, she got many boo’s in response, giggling at it. “are going to react to my new music video… featuring coupsie!”, she smiled at him.

the action caused an even bigger reaction from the other men, the couple rolling their eyes as cheol shushed them to finally start their task at hand.

the production crew got the laptop and table all set in front of the group, nari admiring their moment as they seemed unbothered by the cameras and just kept their normal daily lives. the staff told them to start and nari prepared herself mentally for all the teasing she would get for the rest of her life after this.

“so, let’s play!”, nari pressed the button and the video started.

the clip starts off with the couple running from a flying cube, they were in a forest and desperate to get away from it.

“wait,” dino started, making nari pause the video. “what does that cube means?”

nari smirked and unpaused the video, “you’ll have to watch the whole thing to figure it out!~”

“aigoo!” seungkwan pouted, “you are both bruises up.”

the video continued with the square going over a building, nari tapping cheol’s chest and motioning with her head towards somewhere.

“why did they put a caption there?”, jun wondered. “you can’t talk because of the cube?”

“well,” cheol started, looking over at nari who shook her head and smirked at him. “can’t tell you, you’ll figure it out later. promise.”

as the video kept going, the couple soon entered a building. at that moment, the first melodies of the song started to play.

“wait!”, dokyeom screamed. “why is hyung’s eye blue? are you blind!?”

the couple just snickered and cheol nodded, “yes, i am blind of that eye. later it will make more sense.”

everyone just nodded and turned their attentions back to the video, being even more interested now to find out the reasons behind what they saw in those first seconds.

“why is there a pile of clothes there?”, wonwoo asked silently.

nari shrugged and gave him a quick look, mouthing ‘you’ll see later’ to him.

in the video, the couple was seen quickly hiding as the cube appeared up im the sky through the glass ceiling. they looked shaken up by it.

“this is all so confusing…”, dino scratched his head, nari cooing and ruffling his hair slightly.

as soon as nari’s voice played through the devide with the first lyrics of the song, all chaos broke out, making her have to pause the video once again.

“woah, miss nari~”, jeonghan teased her, mocking her. “dearest darling!~ who was it for, huh?”

the woman just shook her head and hid her face in her hands, everyone still teasing her just from the first lyrics of the song.

“everyone’s quiet and ready?”, she asked them after a few minutes, receiving positive responses from everyone. she unpaused the video.

in the mv cheol was seen picking up an old camera, quickly bringing it over to his good eye and pointing it towards nari. as soon as he saw her through the lens, everything seemed brighter and better than their actual world.

“wait!”, joshua started, the video pausing again. “why did the camera change his view of you?”

nari sighed and smiled, “well, that camera is basically the world before it was ruined and behind the camera is their present. the lenses are basically the filter of love, as it shows the beautiful things in the world beyond the appearance of someone or somethings.”

“woah, you just memorized it all?”, mingyu looked at her.

“no,” she laughed. “i was the one who suggested it, so you could understand that the physical appearance doesn’t mean anything.”

the hummed and nari clicked play once again. as she put the camera to her eye and turned to see him through it, cheol wasn’t blind anymore.

“so for you the fact that he is blind means nothing because you focus rather on his inner beauty?”, minghao asked quietly.

“yes, hao,” she answered. “because it doesn’t matter to me.”

“this is so heartbreaking and adorable at the same time…”, seungkwan sniffed. “you touching his face while looking through the camera because it makes it all look all right rather than reality…”

cheol quickly latched his hand on nari’s, giving it a squeeze. the woman smiled at the action and unpaused the video with her free hand.

the video resumed and the couple appeared sitting together in a table, with cheol using the camcorder to see nari eat in the ‘alternate reality’ while she only could pretended to eat in real life. after pretending, she started to use sign language to communicate with cheol, which made the video be paused again due to collective gasps being heard from behind the couple.

“you are deaf?”, vernon mumbled. “that’s why you didn’t speak and they used the captions?”

“yeah,” nari replied. “not only that but i’m also mute in that universe.”

“oh my god…”, seungkwan breathed out. “this is making me emotional.”

the boys agreed with him, turning their attention back to the laptop. nari quickly clicked play again.

the video showed her with the camera now, using it to see cheol pretending to eat. as she got up to clean his mouth, they suddenly were in the world inside the camera. the couple used that to eat and have fun, the little moment making them forget about the harsh reality behind the camera. while they had fun, the people behind them wouldn’t stop bugging and judging them, but they didn’t care about that — only about one another.

in the next scene they were in a clothing store, soon after appearing in wedding fits. nari with a beautiful dress while cheol had a tuxedo on, smiles on their faces as they were in a photo booth. still in the love filter world.

“you two looked so happy in that reality,” hoshi sighed.

“and the lyrics are so deep, it fits more with the video than i thought…” woozi said softly.

nari only smiled at that, watching the video while imagining their actual wedding – specially now that cheol was dismissed from enlisting due to his injury.

as the photos in the mv came out, instead of being ‘okay’ like in the love filter, they were bruised up like in the real world. cheol with his blind eye and nari still mute and deaf, but looking happy because they still had each other.

the pillow fight scenes and them on the stage singing made everyone smile, thinking how much this resembled the two in real life. as the couple got closer to sing in the mic, everyone ‘ooh’ed teasingly, the couple turning red from this.

in the middle of their fun on stage, the cube suddenly appeared in the restaurant’s door. the love filter disappearing as they ran away from the cube.

seungkwan sniffed. “why did it have to appear now!”

“why is this cube so annoying?”, jeonghan whined.

as the video showed through the cracked wall, everyone gasped at the sight of the many floating cubes and the destroyed city, together with the lyrics ‘destroy me slowly and chilly, ruiner’.

nari paused the video. “i don’t know if you guys got the message yet, but did you understand why we were running from the cube?”

most of them shook their heads to the girl, eager to know about the video’s villain.

“i won’t tell you just yet!”, they all whined. “but in the end i’ll talk about it.” and with that she unpaused the video.

the video came back with the couple in front of the clothes pile and the cube in front of them, nari had a bar in her hands which was quickly taken from her by cheol; who tried to destroy it but couldn’t. he ended up falling down and nari followed suit, holding him close to her as he held her hand in his chest. the couple knew there wasn’t any escape left for them, just accepting their fate and watching their last moments together.

“pause this! i need a moment!”, seungkwan mumbled. “i know this is not real, but seeing you two like this maked me so scared, noona.”

the woman got up slightly to hug him, comforting the boy with her words and actions.

“did you two just accept your fate then?” jun asked her while holding onto his chair.

she nodded, getting away from seungkwan to sit down again. “yeah, we are just accepting it now.”

with this they decided to watch the rest of the video without pausing anymore, just so nari could finally explain it to them.

as the cube turned red, nari looked down to cheol and covered his good eye with her hand so he wouldn’t watch it happening. the boys could all feel their eyes turn a bit glassy from this, some even shedding a tear or two. as the cube got closer they just held each other tighter, nari watching it all unfold in front of her face. before anything could happen the camera focused on the camcorder on the ground, which captured the couple’s last moments together — their feet slowly floating away from the ground as the cube slowly killed them. the camcorder turned black and slowly their clothes fell on top of the many other clothes on the pile.

“this was so sad…”, mingyu pouted.

“just remembering it makes me sad.” chan frowned.

“sorry for this then,” nari sheepishly replied. “i wanted something deep to represent the lyrics. i wrote them a long time ago, around 2021. it holds a lot of meaning to me and i wanted to release it when i was sure i was gonna have my happy ending.”

everyone nodded at her words, some of the boys pouting as they though back on the lyrics. they all knew she wrote it for cheol during their early start in the relationship as he had been by her side since the beginning. it all made so much sense to anyone who knew just a bit of their story, specially to those who understood what she meant by the ‘happy ending’ as they were going to get married.

“but what about the cube?” hoshi asked her.

“the cube is the discrimination going after everyone,” she sighed. “remember that i was deaf and mute while cheol was blind? well, the cube wanted us because we ‘didn’t fit’ and we just didn’t care about that part. we love each other and that’s enough to make us just ignore that.”

“that’s so deep…”, vernon sighed.

after he said that there was a silence, no one saying anything, just nodding. it was broken by nari’s giggles, which turned into a fit of laughter from everyone.

“caratdeul!~”, nari cooed to the camera. “thank you for watching! “

“yeah! hope you liked our acting this time!”, cheol smiled.“we were…”

“seventeen!”, everyone chorused. “bye bye!”

"Five, four, three…"

The yoga instructor's voice was the only thing filling Minah and Mingyu's living room. Minah held her breath as the woman counted, trying to recreate the exact position she was teaching.

After the accident, Minah found the wonderful world of online workouts, and she never had to bother about going to the gym again. Not when she could do all that in her living room, not having to interact with other humans but her boyfriend, peacefully sleeping upstairs.

"Okay, now take a deep breath. And now, let it go." Minah did as the instructor said. "That's it for today, everyone. Our next class…"

Minah didn't wait for the video to end to turn off the TV, sitting on her couch and closing her eyes, feeling her muscles and her body racing post-workout. Oh, how she loved being alive.

She took her time there, just enjoying the silence, before deciding it was time for her to wake Mingyu up and get something to eat.

She was in the middle of the hallway when her intercom started ringing. Minah frowned. She didn't invite anyone, and Mingyu would probably warn her if he had. She turned around and headed to the kitchen.

Before even looking closely, Minah recognised who it was.

"Gosh…" she mumbled. Taking the intercom off the hook, Minah answered before anything. "Come in."

It didn't take two minutes before the door slammed open, and twelve men entered the apartment.

"Jesus, I'm so hungry." Dokyeom said, heading straight to the kitchen. He stopped before Minah and gave her a quick kiss on her cheek. "Hi, mom."

Minah lightly slapped his shoulder, making the boys laugh.

In less than a minute, her apartment was looking like a playground.

Seungcheol, Dokyeom and Jeonghan were in the kitchen, looking for something to eat. Joshua, Wonwoo, Jihoon and Minghao turned the TV on again and searched for a game to play, already deciding the pairs. Chan and Seungkwan waved at her and just laid on the couch. Minah made a mental note to brag with Mingyu about her perfect couch choice.

"Okay," she said. "who's gonna tell me what happened?"

"We were bored." Hansol showed up on her side, devouring one of her chocolate sundaes.

"And we missed you." Sooyoung said, trying to add a reason.

"Actually, our AC system broke." Jun whispered at her, heading to one of the guests' bedrooms.

"Hyung!" the men groaned together.

Minah laughed at their reaction.

Somehow, Minah can't even keep a straight face next to them. It always felt like she was in high school again, especially with the younger ones. She noticed Hayun wasn't there.

"Where's Hayun, by the way?"

"No comments on that." Seungcheol said without looking away from the oven, and she understood Hayun was probably sleeping in someone else's house.

"I'm gonna wake Mingyu." she announced, leaving the living room.

"No!" twelve voices echoed together, making her laugh.

"Why waking him up? He's so peaceful while he's asleep." Chan said with a forced smile on his face.

"The house is so quiet. Listen. " Jihoo said, making a signal for them to be quiet. "You can even listen to the birds."

Minah scoffed and shook her head, heading to the hallway leading to her bedroom. Mingyu had already talked to them about showing up without warning.

When she opened the door and got into the bedroom, she wished they were alone. Mingyu was in the same position she left him earlier, and she just wanted to take a quick shower and cuddle him again.

But a loud noise from the kitchen followed by a 'Dokyeom!' made Mingyu sit on the bed.

"What's happening?" he said, before even opening his eyes.

Minah chuckled and sat close to him, pulling him closer in a quick kiss.

"Hi, baby. We have guests." she said, watching Mingyu's sleeping face turning into a confused one, pulling Minah into a hug.

It took Mingyu a few seconds to fully understand what she meant, now rolling his eyes and making Minah laugh.

"I can't believe they did it again." he mumbled against her hair.

"Yes, honey. They did." Minah told him, letting go of his arms. "I'll be waiting for you so we can decide what to eat. We didn't go to the market yesterday, and we don't have enough food for all of us."

"I'll be out in a minute." Mingyu said, getting up and heading to their shared bathroom.

A loud noise from the kitchen made Minah leave the room and go back to the living room to check what happened.

"Oh, they have some good beers here…" Chan said.

Minah was about to tell him to drink some when she felt Mingyu's hand on her shoulder.

"Good morning, guys." he said, making the boys turn their attention to him.

"Oh, look at our Sleeping Beauty!" Soonyoung said, kidding and hugging Mingyu.

"Morning?" Wonwoo said, checking his watch. "It's almost noon, Mingyu-ah."

"Oh, that explains why Seungkwan and Chan are already on their third bottle of soju." Mingyu answered, watching his members toasting one more shot of soju. "Whatever," he shook his head. "we're ordering some pizzas, if you want to stay for dinner."

The boys tsked together and started mumbling.

"I'd love to stay, but I forgot my wallet." Seungcheol said, palming his pockets, trying to sound convincing.

"Me too." Dokyeom said, doing the same thing.

"Me t-"

Before Jihoo could say the same thing, Mingyu interrupted him.

"I'll pay." he told them.

Minah had never seen 12 grown men as happy as the 12 men inside her apartment at that moment. They started to cheer and mock Mingyu, thanking him, and that made her give an honest laugh.

"I'm going to call the girls and invite them over." she told Mingyu, who nodded and gave her a quick kiss on her cheek before she left to get her phone.

"Finally Mingyu hyung is going to open his wallet!" Hansol joked.

"Should we order some more beers, then? And then we can stop at some ice cream shop, and then we can buy some chocolate-" Chan asked.

Before Chan could finish his sentence, Mingyu threw a pillow at him, making the boys burst out.

Burn Marks

They had told her to be careful. 

After a successful three days in Seoul, two days in Japan then the show two days ago in Madrid, AG had finally made it back to Paris. It had been years since the girls were in the city of love for Breakthrough’s music video shoot. This time, thankfully, no creepy guys or horrible managers were in sight. 

The members got to enjoy a day on the town before a stage rehearsal later that night. Immediately, Moxy and Aurora dragged their other members through the streets until they reached Miss Eve’s bakery. The older woman was beyond happy to see the girls again, this time all grown up. Juno and Hannah understood why the youngest member couldn’t stop talking about the pastries. They all tasted heavenly. While eating, they filled Miss Eve in on what had been going on since she saw them last. They even brought more posters and memorabilla to line the bakeries walls.

“I know you all getting big. Every year, more and more fans stop to admire my posters. I tell them ‘I meet AG before becoming famous.” Miss Eve's bragging had the girls falling out of their seats. 

Before they left, the girls invited Miss Eve to come to the concert, her eyes light up in excitement, “I bring niece! She big fan.” Miss Eve wouldn’t let them leave without bringing more food for their staff at the venue. The girls waved at Miss Eve as the car pulled off.

It’s been a long rehearsal. AG would be lucky to be in bed by 3am. Being at a smaller venue meant, readjusting every single performance so they stayed safe. Fortunately, the end was in sight. The director wanted to run through five more songs, but first was Cannonball. In the Seoul stadium, Cannonball had huge balls of fire going off all around the stage. Because of the size the girls were free to run wild. In smaller stadiums, everything was shifted and restricted for the girls' safety. The director would rather be safe than sorry especially with Hannah and Aurora since they were closest to the pyro. 

Everything was going smoothly until they spread out for the second verse of the song. Everyone was tired. The lethargy creeping into their bones had everyone acting silly in an attempt to make it through the song Aurora was jumping along with her group of dancers near the left of the stage. None of them paid attention to how close they had gotten the pyro until it was too late. The maknae flung her arm out just as her previously recorded voice screams “Let’s Go!” into the empty arena. 

Aurora smelt it first. She couldn’t place the exact smell nor could Aurora describe it. Can one really explain the smell of burning. 

Then the pain set in. 

Aurora's terrified scream halted everyone. Her three older members all flinched at the sound, taking a moment to realize that sound came from Aurora before they surrounded her. Encircling her between them. 

“What happened?”

“Aurora what hurts?”

“Do you need a doctor?” 

Somebody's finger grazed the burn spot on her arms causing another shrill scream to echo around the venue. “It hurts unnie, it hurts.” Aurora whimpered, clutching her arm close to her chest. Hannah catches the eye of their leader nodding her head toward backstage. Nodding, Moxy takes off to find the doctor. Without prompt, Juno turns her attention to the dancers.

“Did you see what happened?” Juno asked. One of them, a female dancer that has been with AG for years, nodded. 

“I guess we got too close to the pyro. Aurora-ssi flung her arm out just as the fire went off. Her arm was only in it for a second, Could that much damage happen that fast?” The dancer asked. 

“I’ll be able to tell you in a moment.” The voice of the on-site doctor answered as Moxy followed behind him. He walked onto the stage with his first aid kit toward the two girls and kneeled down in front of them. 

“Hi Aurora-ssi. It’s nice to meet you. I had hoped it wouldn’t be this soon but that's neither here nor there. I’m Doctor Choi and I’ll be traveling with you for the duration of your tour.” Doctor Choi placed his first aid kit in front of the quartet, opening it so they all could see inside. 

“Now Aurora, Moxy-ssi has informed me that you’ve burned yourself on the pyro. Could I see your arm? I won’t even touch it. I just need to see how serious the burn is to determine if you need to go to hospital..” Aurora looked to her unnies first. At Moxy’s nod, she held her forearm out in front of them for Doctor Choi to examine. Compared to her complexion, the burn mark stood out. The skin had turned red, some places puffed up and bumpy. 

“Good news, Aurora-ssi doesn’t need a hospital but we do need to move her backstage for me to treat her.” Doctor Choi closed his case and stood up. Worry grew between all four girls.

“Why backstage?” Hannah asked while helping Aurora stand without putting pressure on the younger arm. The doc was already walking to the back, the members forced to follow. 

“Because she has second degree burns. They need to be treated properly and I don’t have all the supplies in need in my bag..” At the doctor’s answer, four pairs of footsteps sped up. Doctor Choi led them to his makeshift treatment room and enlisted the girls' help in patching up Aurora's arm. 

Through each step he explained what he was doing and why. First, they rinsed the burn under cool water. “This’ll get the pain to stop.” Next, Doctor Choi had Hannah gently wash the area to disinfect it. Pangs of hurt ripple thru the older girls every time their maknae hissed in pain. 

Then, as carefully as he could, the doctor spread petroleum jelly across the entire burn. “This is to keep the area hydrated while it heals. I’ll also get some gauze with petroleum jelly already on it.” Lastly, Doctor Choi wrapped the burn snug enough not to move while Aurora dances but not tight enough to hurt. 

“Now, as long as you wash it every day and keep the wound hydrated with an ointment or more petroleum jelly, the burn should heal in three to four weeks. You’ll have to wear the gauze during performances though. If that’s all, I’d suggest Aurora-ssi sit out the rest of the rehearsal." Before she could argue, Moxy agreed. 

“Actually, we're all heading back to the hotel until closer to showtime.” 

Aurora shook her head, “Unnie we had four more songs to run through.” 

“Four song rehearsals don’t take priority over your health. Thank you for your help Doctor Choi.” Moxy bowed while Hannah pushed the group out the door, through the stadium  and to the parking lot where a car was already waiting for them. 

The ride back was quiet, all the girls were rocked physically and emotionally from what happened to Aurora but nobody felt that more than the maknae herself. Now that the painkillers were kicking in, the pain was ebbing away. But the sight of her bandaged forearm was an ugly reminder of what happened. Finally the familiar front of their hotel greeted their eyes. Slowly, all four women dragged their bodies through the ornate lobby to the elevators. The maknae knew after everything that had happened, there was no way her unnies would leave her alone. But she just wanted a second to process. Aurora tugged on her leader’s sleeve. She mouthed the words, Code: Alone Time. Migyeong pursed her lips but nodded, everyone in NCT respected the codes. When the elevator opened, Moxy herded Juno and Hannah to her room leaving Aurora to enter hers. There was a bit of push back but one look silenced them. Aurora closed the door and flopped onto her bed finally able to breathe. 

With nothing else to do, Aurora took a nap, taking care not to lay on her bandaged arm.

Aurora didn’t know how long she was asleep until she felt fingers running through her hair, gently undoing the slight tangles. Aurora could tell it was Hannah. Her other members weren’t ones for gentle wake up calls. 

“Eunji-ah? You awake?” Hannah murmured. Her fingers were pulling away but the maknae pushed her head back into her unnie’s palm. A soft smile grew on Hannah’s face, fingers continuing their mission. It was rare for Aurora to let her maknae tendencies loose. 

“You gotta get up. It’s time to head to the venue.” The elder got a hum in response but neither moved to get up. Hannah wasn’t in a hurry to rush the younger singer. Aurora was strong but that didn’t mean she was immune to shock or pain. If she wasn’t ready then they’d postpone until Aurora was. 

“I wanna inform the fans…about what happened.” she sat up, stroking her arm softly, “I don’t want them to worry when they see this bandage tonight.” 

Hannah reached over ruffling Aurora hair, “I think we can make that happen. But first we gotta visit the doc and get that gauze changed.”

Hello this is SM Entertainment, We’re here to inform the fans of a minor injury update. At the rehearsal for NCT AG’s concert in Paris tonight, Aurora sustained a minor burn on her arm. She is okay and has been treated already. Aurora has also chosen to perform tonight and will keep her arm wrapped until the injury heals completely.  Aurora is okay and urges fans to ease their worries and enjoy the show. We wish Aurora a speedy recovery and good luck for the concert tonight.

The monster under my bed-Jeno FF, ft. Nct Dream

(This is my first time writing so please bare with me)

“Mom please,” Little Y/n wept to her mother “There’s a monster under my bed—he’s gonna get me”

Her mother towered over her, shaking her head in disappointment. “What have I told you! tsk there is no such thing as monsters Y/n, you’re going to be 10 tomorrow, so stop with this imagination you have because that’s what’s gonna get you into trouble one day” The woman shut her door leaving the girl in the dark.

As the little girl crept back to her room, she could feel eyes on her, sending chills down her spine. Y/n murmured little prayers under her breath hoping that god could protect her from what lurks in the dark.

She turns the knob of her bedroom door, praying he isn’t there, the one that causes her hell. She clutches her emotional support teddy bear and blanket and throws open the door only to be met with an eye.

The poor girl is thrown back overwhelmed, and falls to the ground dropping her bear. She throws the blanket over her head repeatedly saying. “If I can’t him, he can’t see me”

The girl woke up in a cold sweat from her nightmare, the same memory over and over again.

‘Why can’t these nightmares just stop’ Y/n groaned, she knew it was just her mind playing tricks on her—or that’s what she told herself to keep her insanity at bay.

Y/n got ready for college and left. She pulls out her phone and calls Chenle, her friend since the 7th grade. Those two were like two pea’s in a pod. Some people even thought they were dating because of how close they were.

1st person point of view

“Hey idiot” I hear on the other side of the phone.

“Sup Chenle” You say mockingly, throwing your bag in the car as if it were a dead body.

“Dude what are you carrying,” Chenle laughs “it sounds like you’re carrying a dead body”

“It’s gonna be yours if you keep making those corny jokes of yours” I retort, feeling like I won.

“You love me too much to kill me Y/n” Chenle says in a low voice.

“Huh? What was that-“ Chenle cuts you off, “nothing my dear friend”

The bell rung and it was time for lunch, I grabbed my bags and was about to leave when I ran into something hard.

“Ouch- Oh my god I’m so sorry” I looked up and noticed coffee spilt all over his jacket, which looked liked it was from a very expensive brand. I grabbed a tissue from the professors desk and tried to wipe it off when a large muscular hand stopped me.

“It’s fine, I’m Jeno and you are?” He chuckled, taking off his jacket to reveal a well built body.

I looked up to his face just to notice he looked like him, I paused and forgot everything I was gonna say to him.

“Are you—okay?” He asked worries since I just stood there dumbfounded.

‘How could he be here?!?! No—it can’t be, maybe he just looks like him. It could just be a coincidence.’

“Huh—oh yeah sorry, my name is L/n Y/n, sorry I spaced out there” I awkwardly laughed, rubbing the nape of my neck.

“It’s fine, many people are like that when I meet them anyways” He gives me an eye smile making me melt inside.

“Since we just met, and it seems we get along pretty well, would you like to go to a party this saturday—we’ll only if you’re comfortable with it! You could also bring a friend along if you want” Jeno was easy to read, his ears were red as a tomato, but his voice was steady like he was at a job interview.

“Sure! I wouldn’t mind it at all, errr Jeno” I smiled.

“Well the party is at xxx at 9pm then, see ya there Y/n” he walked off with his stained jacket.

I then notice that he dropped something, a green necklace almost the shape of an eye except it’s iris was a long slit with a darker green oozing out.

‘Well that’s an interesting necklace design’

I run out the classroom to where he went off to just to notice the halls were empty.

“Jeno— where are you, you forgot your necklace” I wondered off further back of the college in search of him.

The hairs on my neck start to stand up and a bad feeling in my gut. To my left, in the corner of my vision, I see a light flickering in a door slightly open.

Curiosity gets the better of me and I walk towards.

“Y/n! What are you doing here” Chenle yells down the hallway making me yelp in surprise. I drop the necklace and it rings. The ringing makes my ears hurts and I drop to the ground groaning.

“Oh my god Y/n are you okay” A worried Chenle runs up to me dropping his bag.

What the heck is going on. Where is the sound coming from? It couldn’t have been the bell since Chenle didn’t react to it.

“Did—you hear that piercing ringing sound” I wince trying not to pass out.

“What ringing noise? I didn’t hear anything, all I saw was you flinching and you dropped this necklace” He licks it up and puts the necklace around my neck.

The cold metal tickles my skin and my face heats up due to Chenle and I’s proximity.

“eh—you might have a cold the way your face is flushed and so warm”

“No—no I’m just a little hot—that’s all—that’s all” I fumbled over my words trying not to embarrass myself and seem suspicious towards my dumb friend.

“Let’s get you to the nurse and see if they can help” He simpered.

“My my my, dear, it seems like you’ve caught a fever, take plenty of rest and stop over working yourself” The nurse sighed.

“Chenle you can leave us, I need to talk to her privately for a minute.” Chenle walked off and gently shut the door behind him.

“I know you may not know—errr remember me Y/n, my names is Na Jaemin” He whispered in a low tone, and looked around as if someone was watching us, “There is someone after you, and that necklace of yours, you may not believe me but that ringing noise was him” He grimaced, saying the last word like it was venom.

“Huh—what do you mean? This is Jenos necklace, he seems like a nice guy and he probably wouldn’t hurt a fly” I retorted.

“Pretty bold assumptions for someone you just met” Jaemin chuckled.

“Pretty bold assumptions for someone you don’t even know” I spat back at him, feeling offended that he would say such a thing about Jeno.

“sigh, how would you know about my connections with Jeno, I’ve known him for way longer than you, he isn’t the person he seems, behind that cute little eye smile you dote on so much is a monster,” Jaemin said through a tight smile, “do you remember when you were scared of a monster being under your bed? that was hi-“

I cut him off, “STOP SAYING SUCH NONSENSE ABOUT HIM, IF YOURE HIS FRIEND WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO PUT DIRT ON HIS NAME”, Jaemin answered, “I never said we were friends, all I said is that I’ve known him longer than you and I know his little tricks”

Jaemin chuckled bitterly, locking the door and closing the curtains. How would Jaemin know the Jeno was a bad person? I thought he just worked here temporarily as a nurse. Maybe they were friends who ended off on a bad note and Jaemin wants to get revenge right? There is no way Jeno could be evil could he.

But, he does look like him a lot…

Maybe Jaemin was right, and I’m being ignorant.

“So tell me more about the Jeno that isn’t what he seems” I say.

In A Dream - Phoenix’s Cut

synopsis: Phoenix’s words throughout the showing of NCT Dream The Dream Show: In A Dream The Movie

HER OPENING WORDS TO THE FANS

“Are we really doing this? Wah... A whole movie dedicated to the Dreamies for Dreamzens. I think my first thought was, are they crazy? We can appear really different to how the fans see us but I hope through this they can feel closer to us and understand us a little bit better” 

Nodding to herself, she ran her hands over her dress to smooth it out, the white a striking contrast to her normal fashion when promoting. Thinking for a moment, Phoenix paused as she tried to come up with her next words,

“My hope, for us doing this concert or these concerts really, is that I just want us to be able to finish proudly. We haven’t stood on a stage as a team in front of fans for such a long time I think it will be really hard for us. I want them (the members) to be walking off stage and be happy because they did well and are healthy”

PHOENIX AND JENO

Her laughter was what was heard first, the scene cut from Jeno and Jaemin calling him stupid to her sitting in front of the camera. 

“Jeno, he is really like the kind of friend you don’t know you needed. He holds a lot of strength in the team, but he’s very confusing. Did he tell you that the cutout on his shirt was his idea? When I saw it for the first time... But he helps us a lot, and he’s always so playful he really is our pup”

Somin was trying to stretch her legs as the stood on the stage, the poor girl having to do the rehearsal in heels for the first time was proving to be more tiresome than what she first thought it would be for herself. As they began to take a break, most of the members moved behind the stage to escape the burning sun and heat for a little while but she stayed put,  “Are you coming?” Shaking her head she looked down, “I feel like my legs are jelly already and we aren’t even properly dancing yet...” Nodding Jeno walked over to her and bent down, “Up you go, we don’t need you burning out from this sun before we start” She climbed onto his back wordlessly as the camera captured the two heading off screen.

PHOENIX AND CHENLE

Somin was half hidden behind Chenle as he was playing around with Jisung, the girl fiddled with his mic pack before tapping his side and passing it to him. Grabbing her own mic from his hands she patted him as the two separated to their spots in the line up. 

“Chenle used to be my baby before he grew up. I think it took me a bit of time to realise that he didn’t need me to look after him all the time and I couldn’t hold onto him as tightly. He is very caring to anyone around him, even strangers. I don’t tell him I love him verbally as much anymore because I think it makes him embarrassed now but I do”

PHOENIX AND JAEMIN

“The easiest way to describe my Nana? He’s like my fairytale love honestly. He’s so different and he listens to absolutely everything I say and pays attention to all the little things. Sometimes life just gets too much and he helps me find things that make sense” 

Phoenix waved Jaemin over to her as she was getting ready to do the air lift jump, he smiled as she held her arms open. The taller male wrapping his arms around her as they watched and waited for her turn. He had already tried it and it was fun but nervewracking at the same time. His eyebrow however, lifted at the girl as she traced her fingers over his biceps,  “You good there pretty girl?” “Mmmh, when did your arms get so big?” “Checking me out?” “No just appreciating” She smiled up at him as her name was called, “Catch me when I fall?” “Of course"

PHOENIX AND JISUNG

“Jisungie... Jisungie worries me. I think that I worry about him almost more than I do about Haechan. I wasn’t someone who babied him a lot but he’s still our baby you know? Everytime I see him though, I’m always wanting to tell him how proud I am of him. But he asks so many weird questions about life I get a headache sometimes”

Jisung suddenly sat next to her as they were in the hall practicing their markings for the show, the older turned in slight confusion as he made himself small on her lap. His legs bent as he curled into her stomach. Immediately her hands fell into his hair as she soothed and separated any knots that had formed from practicing.  “Noona?” “Yeah?” “Do you think I’ll do good out there?” Her hands stilled as she looked down, his eyes were closed but the crinkle formed between his brows and his breathing was unsettled,  “Ji, you could walk off that stage absolutely hating your performance and I wouldn’t lie to you when I’d say you were amazing if not perfect. I have all the faith in the world that you are going to do more than good.” “Thanks...” “You’re very welcome, how about we just stay here for a little bit? Noona will wake you up when we get started again”

Renjun lay in the clear box as they rehearsed Quiet Down, the girl casually walking over and laying on top facing in as he ran through the steps,  “Can I help you?” “You ignored me last night when we were meant to sit and read” “I was busy” “Doing what?” “Laying in bed,” Sighing the girl tapped the box to get his attention as she sat in front, “Tonight, we are eating together and painting. Smiling, Phoenix shook her head as she thought of the best way to describe Renjun, “Renjun holds a lot of power in the team. Everyone wants his attention and to protect him. He’s very soft and sincere - I wouldn’t say innocent. He talks about lifes possibilities a lot and he puts too much pressure on himself so I hope in future he loves himself most and cares about himself most.”

PHOENIX AND MARK

Their voices constantly kept overshadowing one another as they talked with the team, the rest of the member stood idle as they discussed things. Mark and Phoenix had began to grow more frustrated with each other to where their tone was getting harsher and short. Eventually the two were pulled away from each other to cool down before they picked back up again. As they sat in silence avoiding each others presence, Mark let out a defeated sigh, noting how he hadn’t seen her eat anything the entire time they had been in the hall. Grabbing a few things, he came to sit next to her on the floor,  “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have snapped and I really do appreciate your input Som” Nodding the girl took the water bottle he had opened, “I’m worried about you. Mark you’re not resting, both you and Hyuck are so busy that neither of you eat proper meals and now look at us,” “I know,” “Do you? I want you to be healthy and I want you to understand that us having this amazing concert doesn’t mean we have to jeopardize your health. Let us help you with carrying the stress, we’re a team” “You always look out for me Som, love you okay” “Someone has to, half the time it’s like there isn’t a thought behind those boba eyes of yours” 

“Mark, he’s so precious. He’s the oldest but he’s like a baby. His mind is everywhere and thoughts are nowhere to be found sometimes, but he is the reason why we’re still here. Mark is our home, and we make sure to take care of him because without him we aren’t okay”

Somin was walking around the stage as she watched the crew prepare for tomorrow’s concert, her eyes catching Haechan being projected onto the screen. Pulling out her phone she took a photo of him, turning to locate where he was before rushing over as she heard his laughter echo out from his mic. Standing back slightly she kept taking photos, now of the boy right in front of her. He wasn’t blind to the camera going off but he shrugged it off until he was lifting a brow in her direction as his conversation ended,  “Trying to fill up your storage?” Shaking her head she simply sat in front of him, “Smile” Rolling his eyes he obliged, regardless of how confused he was. “Seriously though what’s up with you?” “You look happy,” “Okay?” “I don’t know it’s just, you just, I don’t know how to say it but looking at you right now? I want to keep this photo of your smile with me forever you know” Nodding, he slipped down to sit in front, turning slightly and pulling out his own phone, “Smile Som”

Chenle shook his head, “Phoenix is the best kind of crazy. She is so fierce in everything she does it can be overwhelming. But everything she does it’s always for other people so I hope she can allow us to look after her more” Nodding he wrung out his hands.

I think she always fights to prove herself even when she doesn’t have to and she’s not afraid to love and that’s my favourite thing about her” Jaemin smiled as he spoke, looking down a little as his hand rubbed the back of his neck, “She’s always our biggest fan and she’s very vocal”

Jeno shook his head no, “She is the most powerful member in NCT, not even just in our team. Her mind is always ten steps ahead and she’s so smart everyone ends up just following what she says. She can be scary too which is funny” 

“Noona, she worries about us a lot. Even though we’re all so close in age she always took responsibility for everything. If anything went wrong or if one of us got in trouble she always took the heat and protected us. So I always want to protect her now” 

“Phoenix really matches her name well, she’s a rare kind of person to come across and it never mattered what was thrown at her back then or even now but she always comes back stronger than ever” Renjun fiddled with his ring, “She makes you want to fight to be better than you were and always makes sure that you’re loved”

“Som is I think my best friend, honestly. Honestly Somin is like my number one.” Mark crossed his arms as he tried searching for the words, “We are really similar but super different at the same time and she’s honestly just so cute. Yeah she’s mine” 

Haechan laughed as he thought about how to describe her, “Phoenix is unlike anyone I have ever met before. She is very quiet but super loud and she’s so smart. I think if we didn’t have her we probably wouldn’t be as good of a team. She helps bring out the best in us”

SOMIN’S LETTER

Her hands were shy to open the note, Jaemin rubbing her arm slightly as she opened it and took a breath, 

I was always worried about the person that I would grow up to be, but I feel like growing up and having someone like Phoenix unnie was what helped me become a better version of myself. I don’t know what my dream is and I don’t know if I will be able to survive as strongly as she has in this harsh world but everyday I wake up and am thankful that I have been lucky enough to hear Phoenix’s encouraging words. Words she says with love and belief that even the bad days become better in the end so I hope one day Phoenix will never have any more days where it’s dark but ones that are filled with only love and light. on the 10th of december 2016 jyp kick started their debut project with the release of GLASSY and introduction of their first member HAEUN. because of her previous time on sixteen and the fact that she was a fan favourite everyone had been waiting in anticipation for her debut. GLASSY highlighted not only her incredible vocal skills and her dancing skills shining throughout the mv but also her all rounded talent as she co-wrote the song ! fans noted how much she improved since sixteen and her mv got a lot of attention and news spread quickly about her upcoming debut. GLASSY created a perfect opening to what INTER-STELLAR was set to be and the public was excited to see it !

the second member to be announced with a solo mv was TAEJI with JELLY on the 10th of january 2017. the track was very bubbly and fun with bright colours and a fun storyline that showcased TAEJI’s big and bright personality. in the mv many jyp idols made cameos such as twice’s JIHYO- who is actually her sister -SUZY , BAMBAM and JINYOUNG of got7 , predebut BANG CHAN , and HAEUN. netizens praised her rapping skills and were impressed by the way her charisma, charm and stage presence managed to shine through the music video. news broke out that she is jihyo's little sister and her music video got a lot more attention after that. in the music video there was a girl with a mask and in the end of the video she removed her mask and revealed to be the next member : JIMIN aka YOONJI !

YOONJI’s announcement came just after the disbandment of i.o.i on the 10th of february 2017. many were excited to see her already back and her track BIRTHDAY was the perfect song for her. it was a fun and bubbly dance track that highlighted her sweet and fun charms as well as her vocals and rap skills. following HAEUN and TAEJI’s mvs YOONJI’s got almost twice the amount of views as both combined due to her own popularity as well as the popularity INTER-STELLAR were garnering through the project. throughout her music video the other 2 members were partying with her at her birthday but in the last scene , the camera panned over to the corner where NOVA walked in with a cake revealing her as the next member .

the news of NOVA’s upcoming debut garnered even more attention as she was a fan favorite not only on produce but ioi with her final rank being 3rd. it was also a secret that she had moved to jyp during her time in ioi so the announcement was a huge shock. to this day NOVA’s ONE SHOT TWO SHOT is the most viewed mv of all the members with her views being significantly higher than YOONJI who is second. her music video was very much dance centered and her dance skills were praised along with her undeniable stage presence. NOVA’s vocals were highly praised with her high note going viral and gaining her a lot of respect. her former i.o.i members all posted about her mv and spoke about how proud they were and how their fans should support her and her upcoming group activities.

on the 10th of april 2017 jyp released DONT SAY NO revealing their 5th member KELSI. having already garnered some fame from her time in sm oh smrookies KELSI’s debut came as a big shock,many didn’t know she had left and were waiting for her debut under sm. her video was very luxurious with a cute vintage aesthetic. the video followed a high school prom theme with many scenes feeling as if they came straight out of a 2000s romcom. throughout the video the previous announced girls all played her best friends helping her get with her crush played by HYUNJIN who was still a trainee at the time. her strong yet sultry vocals also caught viewers attention with the comment section being flooded with comments of how sm was missing out. the final scene being kelsey picking a girl from the side lines to dance with her. this was the reveal of the next member CLEO.

HEART ATTACK aka the most “CONTROVERSIAL” of the mvs was released on the 10th of may 2017 revealing the 6th member CLEO. CLEO had also been apart of smrookies as YUNHEE. her powerhouse vocals making her a fan and company favorite during her time. her departure from sm was a huge shock. HEART ATTACK is centered around CLEO trying to impress and befriend HAEUN. she buys her gifts , watching her in class and spying on her to try dance and act like her. in the end the two become friends with HAEUN showing that she likes CLEO the way she is. theories around the relationship between the two spread across all social media with many noting that it is a love song and CLEO clearly appears to have some type of crush on HAEUN. the music video quickly became a favourite and remains an unofficial lgbtq+ anthem to this day. the video continues to draw new fans in. the song itself was praised for its uniqueness of sound and how her voice managed to capture emotion despite the bubblegum pop sound . her high notes were also acknowledged as the highest and her legendary vocals were praised.

the 10th of june 2017 the 7th and final member MIMI was announced with her track LOVE CHERRY MOTION. the music video and song highlighted her sweetness not only in looks but vocals too. despite the cute visuals the break down completely changed the atmosphere and showcased her duality and her fierce stage presence. her dance break during the breakdown was praised for its difficulty and g flawless execution and it was highlighted straight away that she was the best dancer. . the final scene of LOVE CHERRY MOTION music video showed MIMI staring up at a sparking night filled with stars. as the scene went on each girl joined her one by one in their main look from their individual mvs. all the girls turned back to the camera now all wearing matching outfits showing their unity. the camera panned up showing the sky with the official group name“INTER-STELLAR” being highlighted as a constellation.

FREEZE was insanely catchy and was received well by the general public and their fandom kept growing. the group performed FREEZE twice ; once at a special predebut showcase where they preformed all of their solo song as well and another time on MCOUNTDOWN ! their unique and fun choreography was another point that was praised along with their strength across all boards : vocals , rap , dance and stage presence. especially considering that at this point they were still trainees they were a smash hit already.

Hannah loved birthday parties. Rather than celebrating her birthday, she loved celebrating other people's birthdays, especially her members.

There was never a single year of their lives, since their debut, that the girls didn't save their birthday days to spend together. They were always, always there for each other. And, even though it took Hannah a long trip from New York to Korea, she made it to Tiffany's birthday.

Now, trying to balance the wine bottle and her box gift with her hand while ringing the doorbell, all she wanted was to eat and see her girls. After a few seconds, Tiffany opened the door, popping her head out to double-check who it was.

"Hi, bestie." Hannah said, tilting her head and smiling. "Happy birthday!"

Tiffany's shocked face made Hannah laugh out loud.

"Oh, my God!" Tiffany gasped, hugging Hannah tightly. "You made it in time. I can't believe it!"

"Of course I did, unnie." Hannah mumbled against Tiffany's hair, patting her back as much as the wine bottle would allow her to.

"Come in!" Tiffany said, pulling Hannah inside by her wrist. "The girls are already here." 

Getting inside her apartment, Hannah just took off her slippers and placed them next to the door, still being dragged by Tiffany into the house. 

"Everyone," she announced, getting in the living room. "look who's here!"

"Why are you making it look like my arrival is an event?" Hannah questioned, making the girls laugh. "I saw you all not even three months ago." 

"We missed you too, Sarang-ie." Taeyeon ironically said, hugging Hannah and kissing her cheek.

"Hannah is here. I'm going home." Sooyoung said, pretending to leave, but she actually hugged Hannah.

After almost fifteen minutes of greeting the girls with a lot of hugs and jokes, Hannah finally sat on the couch, still with the wine and the gift in her hands.

"Ya, Sarang-ya!" Hyoyeon screamed, making the girl flinch. "What kind of American beverages did you bring this time?" 

"Vodka." Hannah answered her with a mischievous smile, making the girls laugh. "But, calm down, guys. I've just arrived." she turned to Tiffany and handed her the gift. "This is yours. Happy thirty, unnie. Love you."  

"Awn," Tiffany whined, hugging Hannah again and holding the box. "thank you, baby." 

"Now," Hannah said, opening her bag and turning to her other members as she took some velvet boxes out and placed them on the table. "I bought you each a gift too. For our debut anniversary!" 

The other seven girls inhaled together, touched by Hannah's sweet act of affection. Hannah handed each member a box with their names - even Tiffany, who had just got a pink wine glass set, with her name written in all of the glasses.

"I absolutely love how Hannah always forgets that is also her birthday, and we should be the one gifting her." Taeyeon said, giggling. 

"She doesn't forget. She does it purposely." Sunny said, looking at Hannah, that was holding back a laugh. "Look at her face!" 

"She's smart!" Yoona said, laughing. 

Hannah sighed, playfully smiling. She passed her arm over Yuri's shoulders and brought her closer, leaning her head against Yuri's. 

"Let's open the gifts, guys!" Hannah said, trying to change the subject. 

"Oh my God!" Seohyun said, shocked. "She's not even denying it."  

Their attention went back to opening their gift. 

It was a simple necklace with their logo, nothing too much, but just enough to show them how grateful Hannah was for having them. Last year, she paid for their dinner after taking them to a spa. 

As Hannah didn't know if she was staying in Korea for more than two days, she decided to give it to them already. 

"That's so cute, Han." Tiffany said, looking up with her eyes tearing up. 

"Is she going to cry?" Sunny asked, surprised. 

"No, she's not! I'm here to get drunk, woman, not to cry." Hyoyeon said, cleaning Sunny's tears. 

The girls busted out, laughing. They all gathered around Tiffany, rubbing her back and saying positive words for each other. 

"I love you guys." Seohyun said. 

Even with all those hugs, Hyoyeon tilted her head to the side, whispering to Hannah. 

"I think it's time for you to open that vodka."

the airport incident / part three

warnings: language (the word s*** is written once, panic attacks, stalkers, weird creepy man, not proofread! a/n: i’m so so so so so so sorry for not posting this sooner, i was trying to finish it as soon as possible and i’m really sorry if it’s not as good as you guys expected. also,,, this will have a continuation, not sure if a part four, but i’ll post other chapters about this whole situation.

nari remembers the exact first time she heard that name. seventeen’s first comeback had just happened and they were holding a small fansign. they were still a small group, not much recognition but they were happy and living their dreams. the fourteen young adults/teens were ecstatic, people coming to meet them and get their autograph – it was just like how they saw on tv.

as fans passed by, one of them caught her attention because he was a bit older than the other people there – probably in his mid-thirties. what made him stand out the most too was how he skipped every single one of the boys just to meet nari.

he greeted her and she greeted back, laughing at his enthusiasm to see her. he apologized to all of the boys, claiming that she’s someone he likes a lot. everyone laughed at that moment, it was funny. though, they didn’t know that from there on he wouldn’t just be a harmless fan.

the second time they meet she was shopping with a friend – a private going, her personal life. many fans saw her because they were also shopping, taking pictures and asking for her autograph. but, nari knew he wasn’t there before they arrived. no. he arrived there with them. she thought it was just a coincidence when he entered the mall doors at the same time as her, bumping on her shoulder and apologizing, feigning surprise when he saw who she was.

nari knew it wasn’t just a normal fan behavior when he asked for her autograph and gave her a card with his number written on it, claiming that she could call him whenever she felt like it. something about him gave her chills. but she ignored it for her own sake, nodding along and trying to convince herself that it was normal for fans to give idols their number.

two years passed when the third huge issue happened, nari knew it wasn’t all just a coincidence. he was stepping foot in her family’s apartment building, moving to the floor bellow to the one where her family lived. she knew that he was aware of what he was doing, he made sure to wave at her and tell her that he was moving there. claiming that he didn’t know her family lived there.

but she knew it was all a big, fat lie.

she was scared and she told her company, getting a huge “we can’t do anything without proof!” as a response – as if the fact that he moved to her parents’ building wasn’t proof enough. they told her it was just her mind playing tricks on her since it was a public building, that he could have just rented it. but she knew it was far from the truth.

he had been following her, she knew because she took the time to memorize his plate just in case something ever happened to her. nari’s safety was in game, she didn’t want to end up hurt because of this guy. she knew he followed her to her family’s home because of his car plate. that made her even more terrified of him.

she had to beg her parents to move, took the time to find a new place for them just to get them to be safe and away from that maniac. though, she wasn’t expecting his reaction to that.

a few days after her parents moved to their new place, nari received a letter on her own building - her members’ home, the dorms. it didn’t have any name nor address written, meaning it was delivered by someone and not the post office. the moment she touched it, nari could feel her whole body shiver. as she opened the letter, her heart pounded in her chest with each word she read to herself.

“hi, hwang nari.

it’s me, your hajunie. i miss you so much, don’t you miss me too? well, i hope you do, because i’m planning on seeing you as soon as possible. i know your schedules are full because of all the comeback preparations, it’s hard being talented, right? well, you sure do know since you’re amazing.

i’m sorry i took so long to reach out, but i was organizing how i could do it all without messing up or having someone else mess it all up. i’ve been keeping track of you though. i memorized your schedules and made sure to be there whenever i could - even if i didn’t make myself known. i’m sorry for letting you down.

though, you also did something to make me upset. i mean, how could you move your family away from me? i just want to get closer to you, meet your - our - family. your actions really hurt me, hwang nari. can’t you see that i just want to see you happy and healthy? that i do everything for you? that we are made for each other? well, if you don’t, i’ll remind you :)

she could feel her throat closing, her heart pounded and she reread everything over and over. her mind going miles per second. the thoughts never ending, questions unanswered roaming around her mind. how did he know her address when she’s never seen him around the dorms? how did he know she was dating jaebeom when they were never in public together? what did he mean by seeing her and holding her? wait a few weeks? it all made the young woman’s head spin.

nari gripped the stairs railing as hard as she could, her breath shortening as scenarios ran through her head. she could feel herself slowly slipping into a anxiety attack, her mind not being able to process it all as she looked around. she felt watched, as if some type of paranoia - but she knew it wasn’t just her seeing things.

the first rational thought that came to her mind was calling one of the boys, so she quickly took her phone out of her pocket and dialed junhui’s phone. it took him a few seconds to answer but, the moment he did, jun was already out of the door and towards the buildings ground-floor.

the moment he laid eyes on her, he felt his own heart tighten upon seeing his sister’s state. she had her breathing uneven, tears streaming down as she sat with her face on her knees.

“nabi-ah…”, he sighed worriedly. “oh my god, what happened? are you okay?”

jun sat down next to her, bringing the upset girl to a hug. her sobs instantly got louder, her face buried on the taller one’s chest. her hands gripped his shirt, trying to grasp her breath. he didn’t know what to do, so he just sat there and rubbed her back, whispering reassuring words to the upset girl.

“what?”, she said out loud. the whole venue quieted down, the surprised gasps being the only thing to be heard in the moment. “repeat it.”

“noon-,” mingyu started, being abruptly cut off by the girl.

“no. i said. repeat. it.”, she huffed.

“his name is kim hajun… i saw it on twitter if i’m not mistaken it’s his name.” the taller sighed, his head hanging low.

she knew he wasn’t mistaken. she knows him and now that it got to this point, she’s sure she should’ve told them earlier. if she had just told them about it all, it wouldn’t be like this.

“we have had some sasaengs before, i know it’s not an excuse, but i didn’t think it would come to this. the most he did was send a letter to m-“

“wait,” jun exasperated. “so that letter you were crying about all those years back…”

“yeah…” nari sighed. “it was from him.”

she came closer to the boys, having cheol bring a chair so she could sit down amongst the boys.

“he also gave me a letter yesterday…”, she fidgeted with her fingers, focusing on something else than the thirteen boys around her. “i didn’t want to talk about it, but i feel like ot got out of hand and-“

“you feel like it got out of hand!?”, s.coups scoffed. “he touched you and he’s been stalking you. it got out of hand a long time ago!” he exasperated.

“i know, i know!”, she stood up. “but do you think i wanted it to get to this point? he threatened me! he threatened to hurt you all, to hurt my parents!”

everyone’s eyes widened upon hearing her words. she have never said anything about this to anyone, she never even showcased any different emotion. she was so lowkey about it that they never even suspected anything.

“what do you mean by it?”, chan looked at her with a frightened expression. he was clearly worried and distressed by this, which made nari feel even worse about the whole situation.

“the letter jun mentioned, all the way back in 2017…”, nari sat back down. “he had moved to my parents’ building because he discovered where they lived, then i asked them to move once again and he didn’t like it one bit.”, she adjusted her glasses, biting down on her lip as she remembered that in her head. “i was with jaebeom at that time and he somehow knew it, so he sent me a letter threatening to expose us and saying t-that he didn’t l-like-“, her breathing got uneven, her chest tightening as the memories came back.

instantly cheol hugged her, seungkwan getting up to bring her some water and dino going to her side to hold her hand. they knew she was having panic attacks more frequently, so they wanted to make sure it wouldn’t be as bad as the last one.

“it’s okay, we can talk about the other letter some other time. your confirmation was enough for us to take matters, okay?”, jeonghan whispered, petting her head reassuringly.

“yeah, don’t worry about it now. they’ll work with what you told us. when you’re ready you can tell us everything, okay?”, shua smiled at her. “your safety and wellbeing is our number one priority.”

the one thing nari was sure of, is that; if they knew that the company already knew about it and did nothing to change it all, shit would hit the fan. for now, she just wanted to avoid it as much as she could to not make things even worse.

[BREAKING NEWS] BLACKPINK'S Lee Minah signs up with Republic Records and writes an emotional message to BLINKS: "A part of me is afraid, and the other one is relieved."

Another win for BLINKS! On this Monday, February 5th, BLACKPINK's Minah announced, through an emotional handwritten note posted on her official profile on Instagram that she is now a Republic Records' artist. 

According to a brief statement issued by YG to local media on December 29th, 2023: "BLACKPINK recently renewed their contracts with YG for their group activities, and we have agreed not to proceed with additional contracts for [the members'] individual activities”. Since then, fans have been anxious to know more about the members' plans for their solo careers. 

Minah was seen meeting with executive producers from record labels overseas, such as Sony Music, Columbia Records and Interscope Records, but never confirmed anything until this week. 

Surprising the fans after months away from social media, Minah started her letter greeting the fans and joking about her hiatus. 

"It's been a long time, right? I feel like I have to re-introduce myself to you." Minah wrote. She then continued with the news. "I would like to start by wishing everyone a happy new year. May 2024 be as blessed and happy as 2023, with a lot of money and health for us! As it is known, I'm not a YG artist anymore. I and the whole YG crew have been a family since my infancy, but, as it happens in real life, it was time for me to chase big and better things, personally and professionally. Part of me is afraid, and the other one is relieved. I'm grateful for all the things I learned with all the YG staff and producers - who helped me become the artist I am and made my biggest dream come true. I'm still part of BLACKPINK, and BLACKPINK will always be part of me, but I'm excited to announce that I'll be managing my solo career alongside the amazing team from Republic Records. I hope to get to explore and show you another side of myself. I love you. Thank you." 

Republic Records is the house of many A-list artists, such as Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Shania Tawn and KPOP groups like TWICE, ITZY, TXT and more.

There was a massive lore drop for fans with the release of these teasers.

Aurora's staging in these teaser are just as interesting as Jisung's

In the first photo, Aurora's feet are completely unblemished. No blood, scars or bandages.

Second Photo: In the group photo Aurora stands on Renjun's left but she staring dead at Jisung

Third photo: Aurora is curled up with her legs wrapped around her arms. Her face hidden behind her arms. She's sat in front of Jisung's chair

Three interesting photos are included in her solo pictures

First photo: Aurora from the top of the staircase looks down at the boys standing in a circle.

Second photo: Aurora lays in the ground, her shadow extends above her. From her shadow, seven tendrils of shadow reach out in several different directions

Third photo: Seven burning flowers are in a circle on the floor. Instead of a eight one, Aurora stand in its place holding a perfectly bloomed flower with a despondent look.

In terms of fashion, Aurora's look was just like the rest of dream except her white shirt had ruffles on the collar and the sleeves.

These teasers were used, not only to restablish somthing being up with Jisung, but also to show Aurora's not right either.

For some reason Aurora's not affected by what's going on with the members. And it up to the fans to find out

- the two have been best friends since they were small kids. they grew up a couple house down from each other. their mothers were close friends and shua’s mother had insisted he take good care of jae.

- joshua inspired jae to become an idol, and my mere chance they debuted in the same group.

- they are each others best friends—each other ride or dies. they are constantly found cracking inside jokes or telling stories from their childhood.

- they understand each other on a level that most people don’t understand. shua knows the signs when jae is upset. jae knows how to make shua crack a smile.

JK | jae + dokyeom

- jae and dokyeom were attached to each other instantly. they drifted to each other, despite the language barrier, and have remained close ever since.

- both are main vocal within seventeen. got nicknamed ‘vocal powerhouse duo’ by carats. their voices blend well together and they frequently sing cover songs.

- seokmin fell so hard. didn’t even know it until an idol friend of his pointed out how his relationship with jae was different then with the other members. it was a chaotic few weeks after he realized.

- jae is so oblivious. like literally wouldn’t know someone was flirting with her if they told her straight to her face. (poor seokmin)

- lots and lots of banter between these two. both of them have fairly outgoing personalities and are skilled at keeping good vibes within the group.

i’m really struggling to choose between these two, so please let me know your thoughts! i’ll post a poll tomorrow or the day after to decide between these two, but for now i’ll post my usual content :)
