And Omniscient Reader doesn't fall into the trap of the first woman the male protagonist meets being his eventual love interest, they so-called tease it with the almost kiss, but although Yoo Sangah was flustered, Kim Dokja didn't have any romantic interest in Yoo Sangah at all and was in fact more concerned about his precious protagonist Yoo Joonghyuk misunderstanding and thinking he had kissed Yoo Sangah when he had not. The focus there was on Yoo Jooonghyuk's jealousy, they didn't try to carve up a sudden romance between Kim Dokja and Yoo Sangah just because they were a man and a woman.

And whether romantic or not, it's realistic also, Yoo Sangah is his co-worker Kim Dokja admitted he admired but didn't know quite well, Yoo Joonghyuk is the man he's been watching over and reading about for 13+ years, it makes more sense to care about Yoo Joonghyuk's reaction. He invested emotionally and just invested time and also effort much more in Yoo Joonghyuk. (I say it's romantic though)

Also Yoo Sangah who seemed a bit weak but useful at the same time, using threads, like a typical female lead, weak but at the same time strong enough to not be completely useless, turned all the tables around when she appeared again and instead of clinging to Kim Dokja or calling his name like a typical female lead would, she got so much cooler without him, so much stronger, and was literally a badass. Despite being shown to be a innocuous, kind, interested in books woman before. Yoo Sangah's cool, practically badass reappearance was the last thing I expected at that point, really.

Yoo Sangah's characterization is one of my favourite things about Omniscient Reader, I never expected to like her as much as I did, even when literally dying she tells Kim Dokja to save his mother first, she's fine. She acts like any male character and she's really cool.
