Still thinking about that passage in Spinning Silver where the author describes entering the waters of women's domestic labours. It's easy to go along with the current, to be swept up, a drop of water in a lake. Everyone is happy to see you, you are easily interchangeable. You understand the demands, they seem easy and effortless. And it comes when you want to stop fighting!! Tired of pushing and pushing to do something alone or out of the ordinary or in the world of men. You can always submerge yourself in the water of women's work.

i was at an author event recently and a mom came up to me and was like “you should make sure in your books that you have a page where it’s a whole house but cutaway and you can see into all the different rooms like a dollhouse and there’s different things going on in the different rooms. little girls love stuff like that” and i was like that is so true and i bet you also love it. i love it too. don’t worry

The first Heron design I showed off was from before Confidential Casefiles, so I thought I’d show you guys her look after she gets her new arm. Plus a few changes I made to her character for this AU! Just realised the way I placed my signature makes it look like I’M her worst enemy, whoops.
Meet the Cast!

got my first tattoo ever yesterday 😄
I've thought for a long time that I either have an exceptionally good pain tolerance or incredibly bad. my new theory is that I feel pain very intensely but I tolerate it well anyway?
but yes in case it's not obvious: the three symbols represent Laura Bailey's characters in the three main campaigns of critical role! blue arrow for vex (beloved), pink lollipop for jester (beloved), and purple lightning for imogen (beloved)
