This is Uzumako, the evolution of Scuppierce.
It’s based on the bizarre prehistoric shark Helicoprion. Screw Megalodon, that thing is who we should be paying attention to. Sharks, like everything else in the Permian period (the time period just before the dinosaurs took over) decided they were just gonna become really freaking weird, resulting in (among others) a shark that looks like it had a buzzsaw in its mouth. If you look it up you can find some hilarious reconstructions of this thing, because paleontologists have been looking at this for over 100 years and having no idea what to do with it.
Because of the amount of confusing Uzumako’s inspiration and its weird mouth have caused, this pokemon has a brand new ability: Baffling Jaw. Any biting moves inflicted by this pokemon have a chance of making its opponent confused, because seriously, what is going on there??
Name inspiration: Uzumaki (Japanese for spiral) + mako (a species of shark)

I love that the three fastest Pokemon are lighting made into a physical form, an alien that's changed its genetic structure to be faster, and a cicada.

I'm so tired of people treating Kieran like he's manipulating the player or whatever like HE'S A CHILD!!! Also I'm tired of people saying people who don't like how Carmine treated him just hate low empathy people and women like. She gets better! I love the other parts of her character! But you can't deny that she infantilizes Kieran and blames his genuine distress from being wronged on "teen angst" as well as the obvious "at least I didn't hit him" line. You can't deny that her mistreatment of him is what leads him astray. She has every right to be angry and abrasive to tourists, but the way she takes it out on her brother obviously harmed him.
No, Kieran doesn't see Ogerpon as an object - he just clings to those who he believes understand him and wants to feel like he belongs. He's not evil. He's a mentally struggling young teen who clings to any semblance of acceptance in his life and believes he was wronged by the person he trusted.
No, people are not ableist or misogynistic for saying Carmine's actions were harmful and caused emotional pain. No, comparing her hate to the likes of how fans treated Nemona is not fair. Yes they're wrong for narrowing her down to a one-dimensional abuser who can never be redeemed. But it's okay to acknowledge that she's hurting her brother. She's not evil for it. She's a mentally struggling teen/young adult whose struggles seep into how she treats the people she cares about.

Maybe if we keep making fake mega evolutions, game freak will bring them back
This one’s design process was a bit of a journey. Initially I wanted to base it on Edestus, another prehistoric shark that I once described as “Helicoprion but worse”. I also wanted to incorporate elements of epaulette sharks (my favourite shark species), whose main claim to fame is being able to walk on land for short periods of time. Originally I was gonna give mega Uzumako little flipper feet instead of proper legs to reflect that, but that, along with the Edestus elements, didn’t really work out. So I basically had ended up with a shark w/ legs. Not exactly the most creative design.
Fortunately, my brain went off on a tangent (as it is wont to do): shark with legs, where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, Gyo.
For those who don’t know, Gyo is a horror manga by the renowned Junji Ito, with the main monsters being fish carried around on mechanical legs, most notably a great white shark. The concept of ‘’shark with legs’’ has been said to be what inspired the entire manga. And considering the only reason I know the word uzumaki (the word that makes up half of this fakemon’s name) is because of another Junji Ito manga, taking inspiration from Gyo’s walking shark actually seemed like a pretty good next step. This is also what got me thinking about making it poison type (since those fish stank), which then lead to the rusted teeth.
So I basically had ended up with a shark w/ legs, but now it’s a horror homage and also a rusty buzz saw that can give you tetanus. Much better.

I was talking the other day about how Clodsire has a very Blåhaj energy to them and decided I had to follow through on that idea, and here we are!
I'm really happy with how it came out!
All made in Blender, so unfortunately not a real tangible plush (maybe in the future)
Let me know what you think!
I've decided that it is canon that Rika has (at least) one if these.
And, just because I can, some colour variants! (Shiny, Blåhaj, Quagsire and trans pride)
(The shelf, table, painting frame and chair assets are from Poly Haven's CC0 model collection (go check them out), everything else was made by me.)

SCLEREVIL (Water/Ghost) & RELICANTIQUE (Rock/Ghost)
RELICANTIQUE (Relic/Antique) is RELICANT's evolution, it evolves when it comes in contact with SCLEREVIL (Sclera/Evil Eye)
RELICANTIQUE is based on the Greenland shark, one of the oldest vertebrates in the world, if not the oldest, and one that can live over 500 years old. SCLEREVIL is based on the Ommatokoita elongata, a type of parasite that can be found attached to the eyes of the greenland shark, where it feeds on its corneas.
