A moment to appreciate Beatrix's outfit and overall visuals. Yeah. Dot and Anadil are also looking amazing in the background. (I'm going to have so much beef with Anadil's outfits later on, so prepare for that lol) And Beatrix's actress is doing such a great job, the expressions are so on point. She just has the pure confidence aura around her and I love it.

Also this is a gorgeous scene. Despite Sophie being stabbed, yk.

And like?? The usage of the Gavaldon dress? Because Sophie probably spent so much effort to make it look as princess-like as possible and planned to look the best she could and then she lands in the wrong school and her dreams are ruined just like the dress.

I also feel like they removed the wolf from Doom room for some reason with Lady Lesso taking his place? I definitely want to see what they're going to do with that.

Love the pure dramaticness of it. And seems like the Coven has gained another member?

(Also, what is happening with Anadil's dress. Come on, the designers could have done so much better)

I'm pretty sure this is happening at Trial by Tale? Which means Tedros is actually there with the Excalibur and uses it? Maybe we'll be getting some cool fighting scenes with him in them, because he kinda didn't do shit in the books lol

Also, I guess we're getting more Hort, but his personality seems changed a lot? The trailer might be misleading, but it seems they're going more for the bad boyish kinda insane vibe, so I'm definitely curious.

If you look closely, you can see him always hanging around with the Coven, which might be a coincidence, or they might be going to make them friends? idk man

Also I'm really glad they didn't keep the mogrifs coloured based on the students' fingerglows, that was just weird

They also went with a more red than pink fingerglow colour for Sophie, which honestly looks so good

Say what you will about how cheesy the trailer for the sge movie looks, but you can't argue they're being anything but faithful to the books, that shit was a soap opera and we liked it that way.

I’m so excited about the new SGE trailer!! It continues to give me so much hope for what I was already expecting to be a good movie based on these books, and it truly seems to me like it sticks to the tone and vibes of the books

why are there so many movies releasing on the 21st of october. first we got confirmation for black adam and i was like “oh cool! i can do that. october will be a good month” and THEN we got the trailer for my policeman and i’m like “oh, harry. i need to watch that. i should watch that instead because i won’t have money. i should do that” aND THEN WE GOT CONFIRMATION FOR SGE MOVIE. it said it was gonna come SEPTEMBER. School for Good and Evil Movie Thoughts

Okay as a chronic SGE-focused person (I won’t say fan because most of my enjoyment comes from writing essays about how the author conveniently ignores the genocides he accidentally wrote, how the messages are not really very heartwarming, or how Rhian would have actually been a decent king), I have Thoughts about the trailer.

- What the fuck is up with Lady Lesso’s costume. I mean. I know it’s an adaptation. I understand there is a long tradition of bad adaptations. But seriously. SHE IS DESCRIBED IN EXTREME DETAIL. The only things off the top of my head that get such frequent descriptions are Sophie’s legs (but that’s a whole other issue). And yet... the movie includes literally none of her trademark look. Why is her hair read? What happened to her purple eyes? What happened to her straight black french braid? What happened to her metal shoes? WHAT HAPPENED TO HER PURPLE GOWN THAT IS LITERALLY A PLOT POINT IN BOOK THREE???? Seriously even if everything else about her is perfect I will still be so mad at this movie.

-Kerry Washington is way too good for Clarissa Dovey. Kerry Washington is excellent and Clarissa Dovey lowkey tried to kill all the gay students of Good for the past century or however long she’s been working there. I’ve literally wrote fic for SVU (to the tune of 40,000 words) about how evil this woman is and how outrageous it is she’s framed as a protagonist. Also her costume is also not faithful to the book. Hmph.

Big joke on the Avengers trailer and videos with the return of Iron Man and it kills me. But "do you trust me? I do." of iron man and captain america oh my god I'm dying why do they do this to me ? I can't wait to see this fucking movie I'm going to die for three fucking hours they gonna explore the relationship between iron man and Spiderman we all gonna cry because he's like his son ! just the thing is we know that he's gonna come back on earth and it's in their own trailer so it's not really good I'm crying already because of the relationship of Iron Man and Captain America !
