Seoi Gor Cafe

Yet another hidden gem, just behind Holland Drive Food Centre. I guess it’s still new and many people have not begin to realize their existence.

By the same people behind (previously Gong Cha) now Li Ho. This cafe brings HK food to the neighbourhood shops at affordable prices. No frills just like you would expect my recommendations to be, and well within a $10 budget.

Tried their dry noodles with fry egg and luncheon meat ($4.80), Scrambled Eggs, Ham and Thick Toast ($4.50), Milk Tea Cold also known as Teh Bing ($2.40) x 2, Portuguese Egg Tart ($1.60) and Chee Cheong Fun (not listed). All these cost only around $18!

Their scramble eggs were done rather well. Although I have to say the presentation and portion was abit disappointing. For the price though, it was okay. The noodles were decent, not fantastic but for the price, I can’t complain! luncheon meat and egg were a little overcooked and burnt so they weren’t too good for the lunch.

Milk Tea, Egg Tart and Chee Cheong Fun was good. Milk tea and egg tart is as expected quality for a HK cafe. Cheong Fun had a mix of peanut sauce (i think) with the typical black soya sauce and chili. Interesting mix, but felt it was a little dry. Worth a try though!

There’s also a lunch set with baked rice, veg and soup and soft drink for $9.90 nett good for people who just want some food to get by!

Overall, good light eats for an affordable price. Don’t expect too much for the price. Not too crowded even on a weekend lunch- was expecting a crowd. But i guess it doesn’t have too much lunch/mains options compared to its competition at the Food Centre both at Ghim Moh and Holland Drive. Good place to chill though.
