MCTNA rewatch Ep 1 underrated Nam Seon Ho moment ?

So. I finally caved in yesterday and pressed play again on MCTNA ep 1 (Am I ready, finally?) It’s about eleven months ago I saw MCTNA for the first time, and it’s my first rewatch, and it was so delightful to realize all the details I’ve missed (because you pay more attention to the subtitles and plot when you don’t know the story, right) or couldn’t notice on 1st watch because I didn’t have the whole picture yet etc etc... (First rewatch is always so GOOD :))

And (not) surprisingly, I got even more Nam Seon Ho feels? OUPS?

Anyway, silly cutie bestie underrated Nam Seon Ho moment (at least I can’t remember seeing it in the tag - even though I haven’t reached the end of it of course I know) is how he’s acting right away *like Hwi’s promotion agent* around Hui Jae, going all nod nod look look hint hint ‘He Hwi, go on and present yourself NOW’ when Hui Jae pours them a drink, and then later ‘Oh Hui Jae cool to meet you here now come along, my best friend is going to kick ass and by the way have I already mentioned he’s the son of our best swordman - honestly he’s amazing don’t you think?’ - adorable adorkable man SIGH SIGH DREAMY SIGH

Two new MCTNA fics!

Author reveals have now happened so I can reveal that I wrote two fics for Yuletide! One, my main exchange fic for @lostemotion, a 10.9k MCTNA SeonHwi fic set during the timeskip in episode 10. Featuring drug use, Seonho's questionable decisionmaking skills and Hwi doing what has to be done.

I honestly believe post canon/canon divergent seon-ho (who's got a whole lot of self worth issues) and hwi (who wants to prevent seon-ho from getting so low he'd ever try to kill himself again) would benefit from locking themselves in a room in Ihwaru with mirrors running all across the length of one wall so that they can have some nice healing mirror sex with a side of body worship. Let my beautiful boy have a cathartic crying sesh while Hwi thrusts into him, his whole body rocking against the floor as Hwi cups his cheek, gently keeping his neck turned so that he's forced to look at how beautiful he is in Hwi's eyes as he falls apart beneath him, all the while, Hwi telling him all the reasons he loves him and needs him and is worth more than the world (both to him and in general).

“I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love you.” For @roncheg, Seonho/Hwi, MCTNA (where we are both currently dwelling). A tiny scenelet that could fit in any setting for them, frankly, because I couldn't decide whether it should be canon or AU or...

Hwi straightens his back, squares his shoulders like he’s preparing for a fight. He’s so tired of this, of never talking about anything directly. “I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love you.”

The impassivity of Seonho’s expression cracks at the edges, and then collapses like a landslide. He shows true emotion so rarely Hwi always forgets the way he cries with his whole face.

“Then lie to me,” he begs.

“No.”

“Please, please. Lie. I can’t be him if you don’t.”

Hwi gathers him close, mindful of fresh wounds. (Will they ever get to talk to each other again without one of them being injured?) “No. I don’t want to lie to you anymore.”

“Please…”

“No.”
