"We cannot continue on as before, though, teaching another generation to seek the slapstick in sex crimes and revel in conspiratorial thinking. We can’t keep picking and choosing whose abuse we’re willing to buy, turning support for survivors into a contest of whose abusers made the most beloved songs. We can’t let wealthy men treat everyone in the vicinity like chattel. There is no hit single worth degrading and violating another human being; hip-hop is 50 and old enough to know it."

(With a confident charm and a touch of vulnerability) Well, hello there! I'm Sean, and I've embarked on this extraordinary journey to find a love that's as timeless as a treasured memory. You might say I've got a mix of old-school values and a modern touch, and I owe a lot of that to my hardworking father. And, of course, my stunning good looks my parents generously bestowed upon me.
Now, let's talk success – I'm a force to be reckoned with in my career and life in general. I’m a real estate agent who's not only good at sealing deals but also happens to be quite the catch. Ambitious, wealthy, and healthy – it's safe to say I've got a lot going for me. But being in my line of work has its perks and its pitfalls. My connections in the city can sometimes muddy the waters of genuine romance, making it a bit of a challenge to find someone who's truly here for me.
All those meaningless flings? Been there, done that, and I'm ready to trade them in for something real. I want someone to stand by my side through thick and thin – the wealth, the happiness, the inevitable tough times. It's the only piece missing from my otherwise perfect life.
Sure, I'm a workaholic, no denying that. Retirement? Not even on my radar yet. But if I find someone who can come along on this journey, together we won't be confined to our city. When we're not conquering the business world, we'll be exploring every corner of this beautiful planet. Anyone up for a dreamy honeymoon in France? Together, we'll write a love story that's as enduring as the city skyline and as breathtaking as a Parisian sunset.

Héctor’s Journal
Mr. Sullivan says if us boys really push ourselves, we can go to university, but come to think of it I’m not sure I want to. Not that my family has the money to anyway. I don’t think I’m smart enough and I don’t yet know what I want to be when I grow older. And I don’t have the patience to sit at a desk and study for another four years after high school! But I heard from Akira today that he is trying to get into Oxford University all the way in England! I would miss him terribly. Plus, my little cousin Pedro also started at our high school and I’m expected to be a good role model for him, even though his big sister’s smarter than me anyway.
I sat down and had a talk with my Papa and Uncle John, my biological father. John explained why he left for so long to work on the dam after my mother died, and I understood the sacrifices that he had to make. And Papa narrated his exploits as one of the town’s top crime bosses from his early bootlegging days during the prohibition. The stress of the Great Depression has eased a bit and it’s now easier for folks to find work without having to resort to crime like Papa did or having to move away like John did. But what will I be when I grow up?
