i have on my TBR, but not read yet, Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree, which is described as "fantasy slice-of-life," but i can't speak for how much it fits what you're asking for

i hate to leave an ask with basically no recs, so i have chosen to latch onto you mentioning shopkeepers and supply you with some fantasy books in which working in some kind of store is a major element, because there are a bunch i love. but you're welcome to ignore this list (which is all middle grade, for some reason... why don’t older people get fun workshop-based fantasy?)

Mostly I don't think I've seen the right angle for it, and I'm not really interested in Tavros as a character, or at least not enough that he spends a significant amount of time in my thoughts; that kind of puts a damper on shipping him at all.

2. What would have made you like it?

I think it has some potential, so if someone talked about it with me in a way relevant to my interests- and I can see some interesting potential in the themes of healing from abuse, unlearning toxic behavior, and talking shit about Vriska- I could probably get into it. Feel free to get my interest!

3. Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?

They have a lot in common, both good and bad, which is already more than I can say for some of my other ships lol
