☆ Because she knows she will have to watch their kid go through all the stages of life until there is no more life, but she will still be alive.

☆ Not only that but because all his family shit, I don't think any Bright is mentally ready to be a parent, or even date.

☆ When he hears you are pregnant or you present the option of adoption to him, he's is troubled, because he will love to have a family with you! But he doesn't want to live with the knowledge that his kid will eventually die, and he'll be there to see it.

Its impressive that you got him out of his lab to go on a date with you.

You were probably the one who suggested and it and he agree to it and decide to plan a picnic and restaurant theme inside his cell

Yall eating ok the floor but the 049-2 dress up as waiters.

Used 049-2 as the ones who would bring food or help around to make the setting for comfortable.

When you came in bringing the food he had the wine cups outside and bottles of stolen wine and the carpet and blankets on the floor.

The dinner was nice, you brought white spaghettini and he complimented it.

He gave you a lots of compliments.

He talked about the pestilence.

And you excuse yourself many times just to cough or sneeze cuz you don’t want to trigger him.

It was annoying, but overall the date was great, but you were removed from his cell.

Blink twice you need help.

You date consist on doing physical work so im going to put maybe doing a sport together or taking care of animals in the foundations shelters.

If you chose to do a sport with him, be very careful, since its you are not strong enough to beat him.

It doesn’t matter if he says he will try to go ‘soft’ on you, he will throw you across the room.

If you chose to take care of the animals it would a nice heartwarming moment together, bounding with animals and you helps him a lot.

He was able to wash then and get them ready up to the standards.

You both also played with them afterwards in the artificial park and dog training section.

Throwing balls and training them.

You both would challenge each other, until it went wrong.

You ended up with a broken arm because of him.

When you told your friends they about it laughed at you, but at least 076 defended you to an extend until you told him not to and that it was fine since they were your friends unless it was someone from your outside group.

I think a movie night or a breach contaimenht to a theme park.

You cant chose cuz both thinks happen.

She invited you to watch a movie with her and you agree to it.

When you got to her containment chamber thinking you were going to watch the movie there, she tells you to wait out.

By ‘outside’ you though she meant outside of her chamber not the foundation.

She breach containment and actually made it out and when you heard this you went after her.

Afterwards you went to watch the movie, it was Barbie, she cry and while crying you two had to leave because the foundation had found you.

Luckily it was night and the theme park was close and since you both escape through the back door and no one saw you went to the theme park to calm her down.

You two when to the wheel fortune and got to the top and it felt relaxing and you even got a small conversation before a light from a helicopter showed up pointing at both of you.

They made you both climb up to the helicopter and went back tot he foundation.

Then you both got something to drink and part ways since its been a long night, afterwards you realize that he wasn’t so bad.

Dr. Kondraki

He took you to take picture with 408.

They were adorable and really friendly towards you.

They even surrounded you.

And he took a pic of that since he thought it looked cute, but he will never admit that.

He will take you around and bring you to the bar.

While you two talked he tried to control himself on the drinking.

But how could he if you were also tipsy too?

At the end of the date both of you only got tipsy not drunk, but a little which it was great for him.

You two mostly talked about anything and everything that wasn’t work related, he showed his works on photography and you showed him your hobbies and the things you achieve from it.

He dropped you off and then he went home.

It was a great night, you two really bonded, might as well get another date too.

He asks you out and you agree to a dinner night.

You two went actually out of the foundation to get dinner and wine together.

Being away from the foundation was actually nice and you two had a nice moment.

Until one of his client shows up at the dinner.

Like out of nowhere and uninvited saying he was looking for him cuz something fucked just happen to them.

Today was going to be a long day. Granted, it’s not like he could do anything fun within the Foundation’s reach anymore thanks to that ridiculously long list.

He was needed for an experiment later that day, so the best thing to do would be to just grab a hot beverage and wait the hours away. Maybe he could go and see Glass too.

He settled for coffee. He lightly blew on it for the hot liquid to become cold enough to drink as he walked merily down the mostly empty hallway. There wasn’t much commotion, suprisingly. Bright was used to the hallways of every building of the Foundation being flooded with researchers and guards, especially with him inside. But maybe he was overthinking things, he needed to find more ways to spend his time other than a cup of coffee. That very much unwelcome distraction came when he slightly sprinted around the corner, only to be met with someone else head first. Both him and the researcher fell to the ground, and the hot beverage was spilled all over the floor. “Ah dammit.” he said, only half-excited, “Now Gears will give me shit again for breaking another mug.”

The other figure got up first, and extended a hand to seemingly help him get up. Bright didn’t look up, and as he tucked on the hand for leverage, it detached from the figure’s body, with the vines that connected them being shown more clearly now. That accursed plant.

“Ah. Sorry.” the once-woman said in a jolly tone, the vines reconnecting the body parts back together with an uneasy squelching sound. Bright got up on his own, refusing to look at anything that wasn’t the spilled coffee on the floor.

The lotus expressed its apologies for the wasted beverage, but they knew that they wouldn’t give the man back his beverage by using only words. They started walking while dragging the red haired man down the hall by the sleeve of his labcoat, leaving him baffled. “What the hell are you doing?!” “I will make you coffee. Replace what was spilled.” the plant couldn’t form sentences properly, but they could still make their words have sense in them. They were walking to the break-room, one of them at least, with the flower leading and Jack reluctantly following the pull on his hand.

As they entered the relatively small room the male researcher took a seat on the table close to the kitchen counter, leaving the other entity to figure out the coffee machine by itself. Watching a plant in someone’s body trying to figure out how to use such simple things would be quite amusing, if that body wasn’t Edith’s. He stared at his hands on the table, toning everything else out. What had happened was, at some degree, predictable. So why did he feel such despair fill his heart? Is it perhaps because..he couldn’t tell his dearest friend his true feelings when she was still here?

May 22nd, 2000. Bright and Feathers were heading toward the research area to assist in the SCP-Lotus study. Bright wasn’t sure what he was needed for, except maybe because he was bored and the O5 feared he might pull some antics. They weren’t wrong to assume that, really.

“The last host died about a week ago. We still don’t know if that thing is using the bodies it attaches to or if it’s just feeding off of them.” Edith sighed in annoyance. “Gee, thought you’d be more excited to get back to office!” Jack exclaimed, mimicking the way his friend walked. The dark haired woman tried containing her smile, only to give up and resort to giving him a nudge at the shoulder. She chuckled a little, before her hand reached to touch her left eye, concealed by an eyepatch, upon contact her brows furrowed a bit and her smile dissapeared.

Things had been difficult lately. Having to pluck your own eyeball out to prevent an infection wasn’t exactly ideal, though Feathers argued that for the Foundation it would be seen as just another Saturday, and Bright couldn’t really argue with that. Due to the injury, Edith was off-duty for a few weeks, returning to work only five days ago.

The Foundation is currently breathing down everyone’s necks to figure out exactly what this plant does. From the window overviewing the containment area, Feathers explained that the flower seems sentient enough to move around on its own upon sensing an open area from which it can enter the body of a host. Much like a previously discovered object, scp-035, it has the ability to scramble the host’s brain waves, seemingly altering them. This by its own wouldn’t be anything new, however this particular object kept the host’s body fresh throughout the period of about thirty days, continuously making changes in the brain before eventually causing the body of the host to rapidly decay and proceed to exit their body entirely. The way it functions is still a mystery to everyone.

Soon after, the D-Class for the next test had entered the containment area along with two researchers, including Edith Feathers, and five armed guards.

The D-Class received a wound in his gut, leaving a pathway for the object to enter the body. However, the flower was unmoving. Surprised, Feathers asked the other researcher to take notes. The other gave an affirming nod, while the latter stepped closer to the D-Class, and by extension closer to the flower. As she reached her hand toward the wounded man, the flower sprung to action, using its roots to leap into the air, and found ground in Feathers’ face. The amethyst eyed woman let out a surprised yelp as the object made contact. The guards rushed in to help, but the damage was already done. The vines and roots slipped underneath the eyepatch, finding home inside the hole where Edith’s left eye used to be.

Upon realizing what had happened, the guards escorted the other researcher out of the containment area, Bright watching in disbelief and horror as his friend let out a final gut-wrenching scream while holding onto her head, pulling out her black locks of hair, before finally falling to the ground limp.

He was brought back to the present by a warm object making contact with his hands. It was a coffee mug, with a reddish-brown liquid inside. He looked up to see the lotus sitting beside him. “I think I figured it out!” it said excited, the vines from the flower pulling the limp mouth into a wide grin, and as the right eye closed he could just barely make out the thorns pulling the eyelid.

Not trusting what it had in store, Bright took a sniff of the liquid “This smells nothing like coffee. What did you put in here?” before the other got to respond, he got up to empty the contents of the mug into the sink. As he turned toward the coffee machine, he saw an open bottle of vinegar tipped over. “Did you...use vinegar to make coffee?” “Well, I saw Iceberg use vinegar for machine yesterday. So figured that is how coffee is made.” He knew this was supposed to be a dangerous entity, but 343 was it stupid. The only reason it was allowed to freely roam was because despite its possibly dangerous abilities, it was generally harmless.

He let out a groan and poured himself a glass of water, and then sat across from the other. He took a sip of the water and pointed at the glass. “This is what we use for coffee, not what you put in there. Iceberg was probably using it to clean the machine.” the vines contorted the mouth to an ‘o’ shape. He gave a sigh, figuring he didn’t have the courage to make another cup of coffee.

As they sat in silence, Bright begun reminiscing about the past. It was just Edith, Simon, and himself, almost an inseperable bunch. She used to make the best coffee for all of them, and she treated Jack more like an actual human instead of just another anomallous entity. A hand touched his own, startling him. It was the lotus. He gave an annoyed sound before seeing the confused expression on the thing’s face. “You are sad.” He turned away to ask the next question, “Why do you care if I am?” “Former cared about you, a lot.” it said pointing at itself, Bright finally turning to look at it.

There was a small pause before the flower continued. “When I go inside host’s brain, I can see the memories, feelings. This one...cared a lot about you. And I feel sad too.” Jack stared at the form in front of him, unable to believe what he was hearing. “What...what do you mean?” he asked. It looked down as it spoke, “Took away loved one. An important person.” it lifted its head back and got up, “But I want to help.” the red haired man could only stare. The lotus moved toward him, and before he could react, he was enveloped into a hug.

“W-What are you doing?!-” “I saw Clef doing this with Kondraki and Say. Comforting gesture.” Bright wasn’t sure if he even wanted this action to happen. He put his glass on the table and let his hands drop on his sides. Still, the hug wouldn’t loosen. He missed this, he missed Edith, he missed everything about their relationship. He knew he would outlive her, but he never wanted her image immotalized by some macabre parasite. Still, it felt so warm. Soon enough, tears started streaming down his face as he pulled the woman in a tighter embrace, and the flower allowed it, simply because it wanted to bring this one good human the comfort he deserved.

❅ Iceberg probably didn't like you the first time you met, for him you were too noisy, always asking him 'Are you okay?' or 'I can help you with the paperwork, I don't mind', he probably told you to fuck off more than one time.

❅ Now something that Iceberg did like was your touch, when you would pass him something he seemed to be looking for and your hands would touch, he liked it. They were always warm, not hot, just a comforting warm.

❅ You probably had to be really insistent for this guy to even give you the time of the day, but one morning it just happened. ...happened.

❅ You asked the usuals 'how are you doing?' 'is everything okay?' while you let a mug of coffee sit on his desk, and there Iceberg just looked at you and sighed with a small smirk on his face.

'When is anything okay when working in this shithole?'

❅ So it wasn't the best of answers, but you were kind of surprised he even said something, you smiled and sat next to him while he signed some stuff, it was a nice silence and Iceberg (would prefer to die before saying it out loud) was starting to enjoy those moments, you were so different from Gears, you would laugh, joke with him back and even try to help him with the paperwork instead of giving him more.

❅ I do think it takes a lot to be his friend and it's not like a lot will change, he'll probably be less asshol-y with you, and will try to not go so far when saying stuff.

I don't think he likes that you are that nice to him tho? I feel like the guy knows he's an asshole and while he likes it, he will tell you to quit it, you aren't going to get the same niceness from him like you get from others.

❅ He loves finding excuses to just have your hands touching or anything that involves touching your skin to be fair. On a really cold day and if there's no one around he'll probably ask you to be a little closer, just to feel the warm you emanate.

❝tell me im not my fears, my limitations❞

You wordlessly came into Dr. Iceberg's office despite his complaints, putting your head down on an empty patch of his desk before whining in complaint.

"Babyyy...my head hurts."

Dr. Iceberg stares back at you in blankly, before asking in a condescending tone. "Oh, really? And what do you think I'm supposed to do about that? Do you expect me to do something or?" he says in a cold and uncaring tone, looking at and staring you down.

"Shuddup and let me rest. Or I'll tell Gears about how you've been staring at his ass in the elevator." You said, slightly muffled by your head in your arms while you rest your head on the desk.

What!?” he asks, clearly embarrassed about this.

Dr. Iceberg sighs, before replying in an faux angry tone. “Fine, I guess I’ll ‘let you rest’… I suppose I can just continue with all this bullshit paperwork that the others threw my way.. but I guess you won’t even let me do that!” he says in a frustrated and pissed off tone, staring at you in 'anger'. That last sentence about Dr. Gears catches him by surprise however, and he turns a beat red.

"You guys are both my... boyfriends. You think I wouldn't notice that?" You mutter in a soft tone, a hint of mirth playfully made its way out your mouth with the words.

Dr. Iceberg just looks down in embarrassment, before sighing and replying in a tone of defeat. “I suppose you’ve got me there…” he says in a annoyed tone, looking back over to the pile of paperwork and grabbing the first one, staring down at it as if it is going to fight him. “Just so we’re both clear, I’m not looking like I’m enjoying what I’m doing, okay?”

"Whaddya mean. There's no way Dr. Iceberg himself doesn't enjoy the sea of paperwork dumped onto him. Are you crazy." You said, sarcasm lacing your words.

Dr. Iceberg looks back at you with one very glaring and pissed off stink eye. He replies in a very sarcastic tone, mocking you. “Oh yeah, it’s totally my favorite thing to do! I just love sitting at a desk for hours on end and having a bunch of paperwork dumped onto me by the others! It’s just great!” he says, his tone dripping with sarcasm and annoyance.

"Me personally, I would burn the paperwork. It's their fault anyways. Shouldn't have given to you." You groaned again, fucking headaches. You move where one of your hands are open as you tried to sleep like a kid trying to sleep in his class. Your trying to coax him into their non-dominant hands holding.

Dr. Iceberg rolls his eyes at your sarcastic suggestion, before replying in an annoyed tone. “Thanks, smartass, that’s a great idea! Why didn’t I think of that? I could be fired or demoted and my whole career would be ruined, which is great!” he says in a sarcastic and angry tone, looking down at the pile of paperwork with pure hatred.

You let out a little groan, a complaint to your raging headache before your half-asleep. Iceberg takes your hand gives it a soft squeeze.

Dr. Iceberg sighs and stops his work again to look over at you. “Are you okay? Is there anything I can do?” he asks in a passive aggressive soft tone, slightly leaning forward as he offers you a smile, even as cold as he is.

"My fuckin' head hurts! What did you expect," You complain in a slightly loud voice before your voice becomes softer. "Do you have tylenol or ibuprofen. or advil. baby, please."

Dr. Iceberg sighs and gets up, going and grabbing a bottle of ibuprofen from his desk. “Here. Take 2 and you should feel much better soon.” he says in a calm tone as he hands the bottle of ibuprofen over to you and sits back down at his desk, continuing to work on the pile of paperwork on his desk. “Let me know if you need anything else. I should be done with this work in around 30 minutes.”

"God I'm in love with you." You took the pills without any water, he could see your face. You looked sleeped deprived to the point it kind of made you look stoned, but for some reason, you looked stoned frequently despite being sober.

Dr. Iceberg looks back at you and blushes at your words. He seems to forget for a moment that he is supposed to be a cold and unfeeling researcher, as your words of love seem to pierce straight through him and leave him speechless and blushing for a solid minute, before his professional mask seems to reawaken and he returns back to his more normal, cold and unfeeling personality, before replying shortly.

“Likewise.”

Needless to say, you were conked out 5 minutes later.

He’s mean, but in a fun way. It’s not often than he finds someone to really have a close interpersonal relationship with.

He's going to spam text you at one point or another asking you what you want while he's at the on-site cafeteria.

He will get you at least one thing you don't enjoy but the rest is perfectly tailored to you.

He's often prone to swatting your hand! Try to take his pen? Swats you, says to ask first, and then gives it to you.

I think the both of you get into a lot of work related hijinks, but not like that, but like that. If there's a problem you two were the cause of it, and you do rock, paper, scissors to who is going to fix it.

You do tell him a lot of personal things though, and he keeps them all close to his heart.

He will exploit those but only in a loving way.

Yeah, you get his sweaters a lot. He will badger you for them back.

Sometimes, you give him flowers to wear. The kinds you place behind your ear? (No, I haven't been staring at Amicia and Hugo,,,,)

He actually speaks very highly of you when you aren't around. Cares a great deal, won't ever say that to you though.

Well, he does but it's very rare.

Lots of shopping trips to target, walmart, stuff like that.

You hang around in each other's cars listening to music and talking.

Both of you have slipped at one point or another and said " mom/dad" instead of "my mom/dad". It's just,,, kind of natural between the two of you.

No, he doesn't let anyone else get on you. And to be fair, you do the same! The right to make fun of each other is reserved for the two of you alone.

Sometimes, he says he loves you. What that actually translates to is him taking your work whether it's a lot or not. He doesn't care, doesn't want you to be stressed and he works fast and efficiently.
