Quorthon's Interview Found In Grimoire Of Exalted Deeds

INTERVIEWER: They (Speaking of The Inner Circle) speak of some jewish conspiracy. I was wondering if that’s just their own personal political philosophy, or is it entirely a Norwegian way of thought.

QUORTHON: To begin with, without mentioning any names or try to mock down on anybody personally, or a group of people – I think there’s something completely wrong with you if you mix Odinism with Nazism and Satanism. All of these three things don’t have anything in common. If you’re a Satanist you couldn’t be a son of Odin because Odinism doesn’t believe in earthly values in the way that the Satanists are. If you’re a neo-Nazi you wouldn’t be able to play death metal and have long hair. So what we’re talking about here is total ignorance. (Mostly speaking as an overall of the Inner Circle, but could be speaking specifically of Varg Vikernes, best known as Burzum.)

INTERVIEWER: I Interviewed someone who’s been sentenced to 53 years in prison. He was part of the ‘Diabolical Skinheads,” as the press referred to them. The reason I interviewed him was because of the coverage by the media of the black metal violence.

QUORTHON: Everything does not have to be attached to the label “black metal violence.” You cannot blame an entire genre for what a couple of people are doing. We’re voting politicians into power for four or five years, and they’re the guys who start world wars and drop atomic bombs. I’ve yet to see a death metal fan start a world war or kill six million jews or pollute our oceans.

I love all three Holiday Bashes, so we are going to review all the stories.

DCU Holiday Bash #1 (1996)

The Benefaction of Peace. This is a Superman story. Lois talks to George, who is about to jump off the top of the Daily Planet building because he’s so lonely. Lois tells him a story of an early Superman Christmas, where Clark tries to clean up Metropolis as a ‘present’ for everyone, but doesn’t notice all the ordinary folk doing their bit to help each other. Then of course Superman learns the lesson that “it takes every one of us to make it safe”.

A High Father Christmas. Obviously this is the New Gods. Highfather and Orion get mistaken for being the hires for department store Santa and his elf. Highfather gives out REAL presents, as you always do with this plot, and the department store floor manager has a change of heart about the Meaning Of The Season.

Bearing Gifts We Traverse Afar. Catwoman! Selina goes to warn a woman and child that some goons are coming after her because of her husband killing someone in Blackgate and helps her get out of town safely.

The last one is just this -- I don't like goons who hurt mothers and kids. Not ever, but especially not on Christmas Eve.

Satan’s Little Helper. Etrigan is summoned by a magician, who grants him one thing ‘you can pick up and hold’ in exchange for his soul. However, the magician’s kid comes in, decides Etrigan is Santa, and reaches into the portal to pull out…a Batman doll. Etrigan accepts the bargain, magician is heartbroken.

The Vessel. Green Lantern (Kyle). This is the Hanukkah story in the set. Kyle meets some friends including one who’s sister is the local Rabbi. They go to the synagogue to find it vandalised with Nazi symbolism. Kyle goes off to track down the vandals (who are the world’s most stereotypical neo-Nazi skinheads). Kyle’s ring is almost out of battery and fails…and then is magically recharged during the fight. A miracle!

“And hope can keep a flame going when its fuel should long ago have run out.”

Present Tense. This is the Wally/Linda story, as opposed to the story of the same name in Holiday Bash II, which is the coal for Darkseid story. Basically, Wally overhears Linda on the phone to her mother saying “Wally knows exactly what I want for Christmas. (As I told him)”. Wally instantly panics because no, he does not remember what this item was. All he can remember is an incredibly ugly late 80s/early 90s sweater. Wally panic buys a bunch of things, which he immediately realises are no good, so he leaves the presents in the hands of passing shoppers. Wally eventually gets Linda the ugly sweater, and gives it to her saying that he remembers their conversation: Linda asked for him to really listen to her and pay attention.

Just Another Night. This is an Alfred story. Note for all the fanon fans – Tim goes on holidays to the Caribbean with Jack this Christmas, and sends a lovely card to Alfred. But the main plot of the story is Bruce and Alfred both acting like it is any other night, until Alfred finds a present waiting for him from Bruce. Awwww.

No real Santas, but plenty of sweet stories.

7. Yes

Today I had a meeting with someone in prison. They're on the other side of the country in some shitty city so it was via "the internet". Our meeting today was mostly about paperwork. He was completing a questionnaire for my records.

"AJ, the next question is, have you ever felt like your family members or the adults around you didn't love you or thought you were special."

He stared at the corner of the screen, it was silent for about 6 seconds.

"...Yes."

We continued, but this sat with me all day. This man's life has been marred with adversity in almost every way you could think of. He's about 45. There was something about seeing a grown man that's been shot, shot other people, and has seen other people get shot, confirm that he did not feel loved or special when he was a child. He was sitting in a typical prison room with stale cement brick in an ugly beige color and thick windows of glass behind him. I wonder about all the times he felt like that as a child and how many times he's thought of it since then.

This came up again when I visited someone else. We talked about their housing options and they said "[]...yeah so they accept criminals and shit so that's good for me." I asked them, "Is that what you think you are ? A criminal ?" They explained that they didn't, but that they have to think about it all of the time in relation to where they go during the day. They then grabbed something to show me. It was a folder of certificates and a card their last facility gave them when they moved. Inside of the card were many people remarking on how funny they are. They said they keep this under their mattress and they pull it out sometimes to look at. Inside I thought, you probably think of yourself as a bad person so you look at this to feel differently.

While I was driving in the snow I thought about how people complain sometimes about prison sentences being too light. Sometimes they're insultingly light. Other times, it's a substantial amount of time. Beyond their release, they suffer. Before any of this happened, they suffered. Many people regret victimizing someone and they pay for it everyday. They don't regret it because they're paying for it, but rather it's a stain on their self-perception. People change. People learn. People mature. People get sober and medicated. They're proud of the progress they've made but it's always followed with a "I know I did _____ but..." They never feel like they deserve to fully acknowledge they're a different person. They feel haunted by the negative voices in their heads that remind them, they beat their wife once, they used to be a skinhead, they robbed someone to buy drugs, etc.

I've done some shit, but never anything I couldn't have fixed. I can't imagine what it's like-- one day you've never been to prison, and then one day it has been 20 years later, you're homeless, in and out of jail for not paying child support, and every person you meet will generally find out you did something totally fucked up-- that you wouldn't do now, but you never feel like anyone believes you. That perpetual feeling as if you have to prove to your stupid fucking community that you deserve to be in it. They're forever shackled.

If you've ever done some shit you wouldn't do now, that's fuckin awesome. You're allowed to change and to admit you would do better now. This obviously applies to me too. My people never know I say things to them that I know I should say to myself, but I don't. It's kind of joke with myself and whatever powers that may be (hail Satan). Don't let a lack of self-forgiveness wear you out. We're all little devils sometimes.

What the Bible Says about Tattoos

The Bible Says Not to Mark or Cut Your Body The Bible warns us against tattoos in Leviticus 19:28 (Amplified) which says, “Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print or tattoo any marks upon you: I am the Lord.”

I know some will have a hard time receiving this teaching because tattooing has now become an accepted practice in our society. However, just because society approves of something does not make it right in God’s eyes. Our society at large also approves abortion and divorce as well. However, the Bible makes it clear that God does not approve of these things.

In sharing this teaching, I am not trying to condemn anyone who already has a tattoo; but rather to warn those who are considering getting one. God loves us, and even when we make mistakes in poor judgment, He doesn’t condemn us but rather tries to help us overcome the consequences of those mistakes. Having a tattoo will not keep anyone from serving the Lord. We know some very godly people who have tattoos and are serving the Lord and their tattoos do not interfere with what God is doing through them. Anything Satan tries to use for evil, God can turn and use for good when we commit totally to Him. God takes us as we are and uses us if we will yield to His will. God will use any of us when we come out of the world and start serving Him with our whole hearts to do His will. Our past is under the blood of Jesus and the sins and mistakes of the past will not hinder our God in our serving Him. Only a hard and unrepentant heart keeps us tied to the old life.

Many dedicated and sincere Christian people have tattoos. This blog is not meant to say they do not love the Lord. God not only can use them but does use them. The issue is not whether God can use someone, but rather whether should Christians pursue getting tattoos. Just because something is popular does not mean it is right. We should always examine things by the “roots and the fruits” of the thing in question.

Tattooing Has Witchcraft “Roots”

In addition to the above verse, Scripture also warns us not to disfigure our bodies in the following verses:

And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them. 1 Kings 18:28

Ye are the sons of the LORD your God; you shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness on your foreheads for the dead. Deuteronomy 14:1

When it speaks here about doing this about the dead; this was a witchcraft rite done to mourn or remember their dead. Therefore tattooing, cutting one’s body, and shaving one’s head in defiance have their origin in witchcraft practices. Tattoos have their “roots” in witchcraft. Many young people today are doing these very things because of some evil witchcraft influences in their lives that they are unaware of. They do not realize that partaking in these can open the door to wrong and defiling influences in their lives. Evil videos, depraved rock music albums, wicked Internet games, and violent movies are displaying evil trends to destroy our youth. Satanic tattoos, skinheads, and other cultic rites are opening many of our children to demonization.

This is what makes it spiritually dangerous for people. People do not realize displaying a satanic mark or symbol can open the door to a Satanic attack which allows the enemy entrance into their lives. It is not the mark itself, but rather the sin behind it. Today this practice is growing because of the spread of False Religions. Some people are so hideously covered with tattoos that their appearances look evil. Others, only have small tattoos that they believe are trendy or artistic.

Now, this article is not meant to hurt or offend those that have tattoos, but rather to help people avoid getting tattoos that later on they might regret (especially young people). Many tattoos have evil and witchcraft themes that are portrayed as devil faces, skulls, ugly demonic signs, vulgar pictures, etc. These things hurt the human spirit, just as satanic displays of any kind do. Some tattoos are Satanic as they look devilish, while others may be flowers or innocent-looking names or objects but it is the spirit behind this compromise that makes it dangerous for a Christian. God loves the person who has tattoos just as He loves all of us. However, He would rather we did not deface our bodies in any fashion.

Some people object to using Old Testament scripture as a reference to tattoos since the New Testament doesn’t speak of these things. However, in the New Testament, we are even called to a higher law. We are to have God’s laws written in our hearts. When we remain close to the Lord and obey Him, He can direct us in things that are not good for us. For example, although the Bible does not say, “Thou shalt not smoke” or “Drug addiction is bad for you;” we know that these things are destructive to the human body. In the New Testament, we are told to glorify God in our bodies. This would include not marrying our bodies with tattoos, as the principles in the Bible tell us it is wrong to defile our bodies.

Our Bodies Are a Temple

When the Lord created man and woman and placed them in the garden along with His other creations. He spoke these words in Genesis 1:31, “And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth days.” When the Lord created the human body, He pronounced that the way He created it was very good. The Lord desires that our bodies be a reflection of His beauty. When people tattoo their bodies, they are tampering with what the Lord said was very good the way He made it. We should never mark our bodies as this is unnatural. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and we are admonished not to defile them. Tattoos on one’s body are like graffiti on a wall. Having tattoos on our bodies does not glorify God.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which is God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

What is it within man that makes us dissatisfied with the way the Lord made each of us? (Many people today are also dissatisfied with their sexual gender and want to change it from how God created them. This is also rebellion against God.) Most people are not happy with the way they look so they seek ways that will cause them to feel better about themselves or cause others to accept them. This is not wrong when it comes to having good grooming habits, but we need to understand true beauty comes from within, not from what we wear or how we look. When the emphasis is put on outward appearance we can be ensnared in vanity, rejection, fear, pride, and even racial discrimination. One of the most wonderful things about receiving the Lord is that He wants to deliver us from the outward things that we think we need to feel good about ourselves. When we are in sin we do not feel worthy or acceptable, but through Christ we are. When we can fully walk in the knowledge that we are acceptable before God through Christ, we are then free to be the person God made us to be without having to create a different image. Many people are consumed with trying to be different or become acceptable not only by getting a tattoo but by other things as well such as dressing the way the world dresses.

Some Christians argue that they have the name Jesus or some Biblical word or sign tattooed on their body so they can witness the tattoo. However, God is more concerned with how we are living our lives, than with displaying a religious mark on our bodies. That is not the highest way He would have us, witness. The Lord would rather us witness to others the character of Christ being demonstrated in our lives than by displaying Christian slogans, that many times are not matched by the life of Christ being displayed. Certainly, the Lord can use a tattoo of a cross or other religious symbol when a Christian has one of these, as God knows the heart of the one who truly wants to share Christ with others. However, a necklace with a cross would do the same thing. However, it is not necessary to use any worldly thing to attract sinners. It is the Holy Spirit who draws people to Christ through any yielded vessel of the Lord. When we pray and witness to others the Lord will cause them to listen when we are committed to the Lord and they all must understand that God despises idolatry.

Just because a person has had a tattoo, it will not prevent God from using people to witness, nor keep them from being a minister of God. God looks at the heart and can use different things to testify of Christ’s love, even tattoos. However, well-meaning people can be deceived in their methods of evangelism. The highest form of testimony is a life lived for Christ before the world.

The Youth Culture and Tattoos

I believe that one of the compromises we see today is parents allowing their children to mark or tattoo their bodies. Christians can look at someone who has tattoos all over them and know by the discernment that it is not God, but the same Christians may get a small tattoo themselves or allow their children to have one without thinking anything about it. Toy makers today even sell washable ink transfer kits so children can mark their bodies with designs. This may seem like a harmless game but this is the enemy preparing or setting up our children early to receive real tattoos later on. Some people teach that the Mark of the Beast will be a number tattooed on the forehead or the hand. If this is true, would not this be the devil setting up people to accept his evil mark, as tattoos are now considered acceptable? (Revelation 13)

Many young people today do not realize that they may be sorry in the future that they chose to put tattoos on their bodies today. We know of many people who have said to us that they wish they had not been foolish when they were young as now, they must live with the reminder of what they did when they were immature and foolish. Only a few people have the money to have them removed by laser. I believe the Lord in the days ahead will remove them by doing a miracle for those who ask Him.

Years ago, our young boys in the military had to go to foreign lands to get a tattoo, now tattoo parlors are everywhere because our nation here in the USA has opened its doors to many heathen practices and false religions. Another danger in receiving tattoos is a medical one through faulty procedures. One of the latest discoveries of another way AIDS is being transmitted is through contaminated ink or dirty tattoo needles. If fresh ink is not used, then the last person who was tattooed who had any kind of transmittable disease could leave behind that virus or bacteria. Not only Aids but Hepatitis as well, has been traced to tattoo ink and needle contamination. Many people are living with tattoo nightmares.

Some young people are having them done in defiance and rebellion to their parent’s wishes because they want to be like their friends. This is displeasing to God as the Lord tells children to honor and obey their parents.

Children obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Colossians 3:20

The reason so many people are deceived on this issue, as well as others, is that there is a lack of knowledge in the things of God and a lack of discernment in the body of Christ. Hosea 4:6a says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Many have not been taught nor grounded in the Word of God. We, as church leadership, owe an apology to the youth of our day because many of us have failed in our responsibility to speak out on the issues of the day and have allowed the influences of the world to shape our society. Many Christian parents have failed in their responsibility also, as they have been too involved in chasing the American Dream instead of raising their children in the nurture and admonition of God, as commanded in the Bible. Ephesians 6:4 says, “And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.”

Does God Allow Tattoos if Our Heart and Motives are Good?

Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:28 NIV

Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, not print any Marks upon you: I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:28 KJV

Looking at these scriptures in the Bible, God could not make His stand on tattoos any clearer. Yes, God does look at our motives and our hearts but He also tells us the unsanctified heart is wicked and needs cleansing so we all can line up with His Word. Many times our outward appearance can reveal what is in our hearts.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9

Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. I will also save you from all your uncleanness: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen. Then shall ye remember your evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your sight for your iniquities and your abominations. Ezekiel 36:25-32

With this in mind, we all do things that are sinful when we do not know God or when we are baby Christians who are ignorant of His Word. That is why we must study the Bible, as it is our standard for what God says is a sin or is not a sin. Certainly, when we are babes in the Lord and do not know the Word, we may be deceived and sin. Because God is very merciful and kind, He overlooks certain things, until we can come to the knowledge of the truth about those things. However, if we are truly honest and want to put away our sins and we come to God with an open heart willing to change the areas in our lives that are sinful, He will show us those things where we have been deceived.

When I was a younger Christian, I had numerous sins that I had to deal with. Two of them were smoking and criticizing others. Surprising to me, the Lord started working on restraining me from being critical and dealing with me because of what was coming out of my mouth before He dealt with delivering me from the tobacco addiction. He told me I was doing more damage to my mouth than the damage that was being done to my body by the unhealthy habit of smoking. Both were sins and praise God He delivered me from both of those things because I wanted to be holy and please Him. I should point out here that no scripture says we are not to smoke as smoking was not a cultural issue when the Bible was written but is a more recent matter. We know that the sin of smoking is a sin against the body, just as is the sin of marking our bodies with tattoos because we are admonished in the Bible that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defiles the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

in Matthew 24:3-5 the Lord, himself warned us that deception would be affecting many right before He returned. He also said it would be coming from Christian ranks, those who thought they were representing Christ.

In light of this, we need to ask God for a heart cleansing, as only He knows what is in our hearts. Many people are not willing to do this as our society is one of so much pride and independence every person defends his way and thinks his way is right. The Bible talks about this. When some of the “Kingly” leadership (leaders in the church) are not speaking out the truth in the church about cultural issues that are not biblical, people begin doing what they each feel is right in their own eyes.

In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes. Judges 21:25

The way of the fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise. Proverbs 12:15

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts. Proverbs 21:2

All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes: but the LORD weigheth the spirits. Proverbs 16:2

The New Testament states we are to acknowledge that our physical bodies house the Holy Spirit of God. This means we are to take care of it and not yield to sins that would desecrate or damage our bodies. Tattoos are only one way, we desecrate our bodies, and we can also damage them through gluttony, smoking, drinking, taking drugs, and exposing ourselves to sins of fornication.

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore, glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which is God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20

One note of warning to the church on this subject of tattoos. We have a generation now of young people who love the Lord yet do not understand all of His ways. Soon we are also going to be seeing a great revival among the youth of the world. The youth of this day want a real cause to live and die for. Most have not seen true Christianity. However, when they do come to Christ many will be bringing their tattoos, dress, music, and old habits with them right into the church. We must be sure that we do not despise them nor look down on them, but rather welcome and love them and gently teach them the ways of the Lord. We are called to love and pray for them and help them avoid making some of the mistakes we have made in our walk with the Lord. We need to be true mothers and fathers to them. Yes, we must speak the truth in love, but let us make sure we are loving them and not condemning them. On the other hand, we must not accept all that they would desire to bring with them that would harm them and compromise the Word of God. We will all need God’s grace to bridge the generation gap. We would recommend a great article written by a young Christian on this very subject.

If you, through ignorance, have received a tattoo or allowed your children to have one, you should pray against any evil or witchcraft that may have come through the circumstances when that tattoo was received. Some people receive tattoos before they are “born again” and after they are touched by the Lord, they wish they had never had it done. The Lord loves you, so do not come under any condemnation, just pray over them and ask the Lord to remove any spiritual influences denoted by the tattoo and He will do it. The Lord looks at our hearts and motives and judges us by those, not our outward appearance. However, if the tattoo bothers you and you cannot cover it, you can have it removed by laser surgery.

Prayer for Cleansing of our Hearts

Dear Lord, I come to you in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ and I do want to please you and know the truth about tattoos, as well as any other area in my life that does not agree with the Word of God. I am asking you to reveal to me the truth about this and deliver me from all deceiving lies that I may have embraced by my ignorance of your Word and your commandments. Lord, even as David prayed in the Psalms for You to deliver him of his “secret sins” which he meant sins that were a secret to him, sins that he did not know he was committing. Lord, only You know my heart and only You can reveal the things in my heart that I need to be set free from, so I ask You to deliver me from any sins that are in my heart that I am blinded to and do not see. Forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness so that I might be pure and holy in Your sight. Lord, I know it is not by works of righteousness that I have done, but that my deliverance comes from what You have done on the cross by taking my sin and giving me Your life and Your nature. I want to be like You, Lord, so I am trusting You to cleanse me now and reveal Your truth to me about this matter, as well as any other area in my life that is not pleasing to You, so I can be a good witness for You in this earth. Thank you for Your love, mercy, and grace toward me. Amen.

Bottom line: We are to become like our Lord so that we reflect Him on this earth. “What Would Jesus Do?” I simply cannot imagine my Lord, who is my example, having tattoos on His body. The only scars on His body are the ones put there by evil men that crucified Him. They were not-self-inflicted, but because of our sins, He willingly went to the cross and died. They put nails in His hands and pierced His side. He hung on that cross and bled and died so that you and I can be forgiven of our sins; He died taking the punishment for our sins, was buried, and was raised from the dead so we can have eternal life in Heaven with Him. Overcomers will put away anything that leads to bigger compromises.

I couldn’t find anything that directly said you should not pierce your body. I was surprised to see in certain parts of Scripture that women wore nose rings in the Old Testament. For instance, Abraham’s servant gave Rebekah a nose ring as a gift when he knew he had found the right wife for Isaac (Genesis 24:34-51, NIV). I believe, however, that nose rings were common in their culture, just as common as earrings have been in American culture for a long time. Therefore, there are not the same reasons behind Rebekah wearing a nose ring as someone in America might have today. It would be as simple as her being given earrings today.

I decided to pray about whether it was right for me to have a body piercing and tattoo. During the time I was praying and seeking God about this the Lord led me to Scriptures such as 1 Corinthians 6:19: “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your body.”

I was also convicted by 1 Corinthians 3:16: “Don’t you know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple.”

If you love me, you will obey what I command. John 14:15

This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Jour 3: Rouge politique.

Pour moi, les deux ont toujours été liés. Des drapeaux de force Ouvrière à celui des anarchistes. Des chansons patriotiques dont le rouge abreuvent nos sillons, à celle que j’ai appris par cœur :

Le rouge de mes lacets, pour revendiquer mon idéologie politique, fièrement arborés sur mes docs. Skinhead, fière de l’être, à devoir expliquer à tous ceux qui ne connaissait pas le mouvement que non, Américain History X ne reflètent pas qui nous sommes, mais que This is England est plus représentatifs.

Le rouge du fil brodé sur mon sac, de mes écussons antiraciste.

Le rouge du sang qui tache nos vêtements après une manifestation qui a mal tournés. Pourtant, on ne faisait rien de mal, on se battait juste pour préserver notre statut d’étudiant, des années plus tard celui statut d’intermittent. Le sang qui unit dans nos luttes avec les infirmier.e.s, les sages-femmes, le droit d’adopter lorsque l’on est un couple homosexuel, le droit de se marier. Tellement de droits réclamés dans le sang. Tant que j’ai perdu le compte. Et encore, je peux n’estimer heureuse, j’ai encore mes deux yeux, mes dix doigts et mes deux mains, dont je peux brandir le poing. Je peux encore respirer pour mieux crier.

Heureusement qu’il y avait aussi le rouge qui tachent, renversé sur nos vêtements crades alors qu’on chantait les classiques du punk français.

Le rouge à lêvres de celle qui m’a embrassé devant un groupe homophobe qui manifestait.

Le rouge de nos ongles, le majeur levé devant ces puritains.

Le rougeoiement des feux que l’on allume dans les ZAD.

Et puis le temps passe, moins l’occasion d’aller en manif, plus la force de se battre devant des débats absurdes. Le confinement aura eu raison de mon engagement sur le terrain, quand j’ai vu mes frères être livrés en pâtures par la police aux militants antivax.

Changer de formes de lutte, adopter le rouge du code pénale pour aider ceux que je côtoie à mieux se défendre.

Et soudain, le rouge de la honte. La honte qu’on revienne sur un droit fondamental humain. La honte que la décision du fameux pays de la liberté créer des débats dans notre pays des droits humains. Que le pays qui estime qu’avoir le droit d’avoir une arme est plus important que le droit à l’avorter. Que ce pays, relance le débat dans le pays où personne ne nait égal en réalité, où la moitié de la population est discriminé par l’autre moitié.

Alors à nouveau, comme à mon adolescence, je vois rouge.
