Island X-Prix: GMC Hummer EV Chip Ganassi Racing lidera las prácticas de la Extreme E en Cerdeña

Dos sesiones de prácticas nada sencillas se disputaron hoy en el Campo de Entrenamiento Militar Capo Teulada en Cerdeña, Italia. Muchos errores, trompos, banderas golpeadas y checkpoint saltados se presentaron entre los 10 equipos competidores de la Extreme E. El único denominador común fue el equipo más veloz: GMC Hummer Chip Ganassi Racing con Sara Price y Kyle LeDuc se quedó con los honores en ambas sesiones y muestra sus ganas de terminar lo que no pudieron en la edición 2021 de esta carrera.

Rosberg X Racing, Mclaren Electric Racing y Andretti United fueron los otros equipos en el Top 4 de la clasificación en la tabla final del día.

La Extreme E llega con un paquete renovado con nuevas suspensiones provistas por FOX y un chasis mejorado para mejor resistencia. Esto permitirá contar con menos debilidades en cuanto a los abandonos, que se presentaron en gran estilo en el Island X-Prix de 2021. 

“El año pasado no tuvimos un gran comienzo, así que es genial que hayamos tenido un buen comienzo. La consistencia es clave para nosotros este año” comentó Sara Price del equipo GMC Hummer Ganassi, los más rápidos en las prácticas. “Tengo mucha confianza en el equipo, creo que tenemos una buena puesta a punto y hemos aprendido mucho en el tiempo que llevamos en Extreme E, así que estamos en una buena posición”

“Creo que el circuito se ha trabajado un poco más desde el año pasado. Va a ser mucho más rápido, no tan duro y quizás no tan técnico a veces. Este es un terreno al que estamos acostumbrados viniendo del sur de California y compitiendo en Baja, así que es donde nos sentimos como en casa" concluyó Price, que tiene varias largadas en las carreras más importantes del campeonato Score en Trophy Trucks.

I know not a lot of horse artist people follow me here, but I've got the most followers here soooo. I was wondering if people would be interested in making horse art for a horse card series a'la Bella Sara and if so, what would you be looking for in compensation? Would people be interested in making their own horses or be given/choose from a pool of concepts and ideas.

I got told off today because my illustrations prices are way too high for a non professional (i literally get paid less than the minimum wage here) and especially for a project for kids.......... By another freelancer. We all deserve livable wages except when it's our time to pay them apparently.

Extreme E: RJ Anderson reemplazará a Kyle LeDuc en el auto de GMC Hummer Chip Ganassi Racing para el Energy X-Prix de Uruguay

Un conflicto de calendario verá a Kyle LeDuc perderse la última fecha del campeonato de Extreme E en Uruguay, lo que ha obligado a Chip Ganassi Racing a buscar rápidamente un reemplazante. El piloto estadounidense de 29 años, RJ Anderson ha sido llamado a ser compañero de Sara Price en una ronda donde el equipo GMC Hummer EV Chip Ganassi Racing mantiene una mínima opción al título y ocupa la cuarta posición del campeonato.

Anderson es un bicampeón de la Baja 1000 y tiene dos títulos en la Lucas Oil Off Road Series (LOORS), ganó el Crandon World Championship y también tiene títulos en UTV. En ese sentido tiene bastante experiencia off-road para poder competir de la mejor forma en Uruguay, aunque Ganassi sin dudas echará de menos el agresivo estilo de LeDuc.

"Es un honor correr para Chip Ganassi Racing y conduir el GMC HUMMER EV en Uruguay para la ronda final de la segunda temporada de Extreme E. He estado siguiendo Extreme E desde sus inicios y estoy emocionado de alinearme con una lista de pilotos de clase mundial. El equipo ha hecho un gran trabajo durante toda la temporada y no puedo esperar a correr junto a Sara para el final de la temporada" declaró RJ Anderson en la previa de su debut a finales de noviembre en Uruguay.

"Es una pena que Kyle no pueda llegar a esta carrera, pero estoy deseando formar equipo con RJ Anderson, mi viejo amigo y compañero de carreras de of-road" complementó Sara Price. "Nuestro equipo está trabajando duro para ayudarlo a aprender los trucos de las carreras de Extreme E, y nuestro objetivo es terminar la temporada con un fuerte resultado en lo más alto del podio".

El Energy X-Prix se disputará entre el 26 y 27 de noviembre en Punta del Este, Uruguay.

ngl ever since this post, im designing and cutting out these stickers out at home which is a very time consuming and repetitive labor process only to know that there's thieves out there selling my designs at a fraction of the cost is extremely discouraging like. what is the point. what is even the fucking point.
