First demon (besides the one that killed Mary) this one's downing planes and we learn Dean is afraid of flying. I like how Sam and Dean balance each other. Sam is more soft spoken to the people they question, he's a bit more book smart, but also still capable. Dean is kinda more hands on smart, builds his own equipment, learned on the job type. You can see they grew up together and know what help each other with.

I'm watching Supernatural for the first time and I've just finished the episode with the wolf girl. I can't help but feel bad for Sam. Everyone he gets close to dies. He lost his girlfriend Jessica to the same demon that killed his mother, someone he can barely remember and he didn't get proper closure with John before he died. He is burdened with horrible visions only to learn that he has the potential to go dark. His dad told Dean that if he couldn't save him, he had to kill him. He was possessed and used as a vessel to kill. The werewolf girl was the first person he found love with after being on the road for so long and that brief happiness was taken from him. He had no choice but to shoot and kill the woman he loved just to save her life. He had to put her down like a sick dog. Something like that is going to stay with Sam and haunt him forever. He has enough guilt and pain to deal with, anger he needs to figure out. He wanted to escape the family business of hunting and live a normal life. Instead he is pulled back into that world and loses everything because of it. Sam Winchester can never catch the break.

The point I'm making here is that Sam is a cinnamon roll and must be protected at all costs. He used to annoy the hell out of me because of his angsty martyr crap, but now I feel sorry for him. No spoilers, but does Sam go through worse shit than this in later seasons? I just want to be Dean in that situation and give him a big hug, you know.
