Easy Gym Free Tips – Lose Weight Without Exercising
The famous weight-loss mantra is to move more and eat less. Here are ways to lose weight without exercising.
Many weight-loss strategies claim that the more you exercise, the more calories you burn and the more weight you lose. However, according to a recent study published in Current Biology, this may not be the case. So how to lose weight without exercising?
The researchers discovered that your body might adapt to this increased activity level once you begin working out regularly. As a result, your body may reduce the total calories required.
Although exercise can help build fat-burning muscle, it may not reduce your waistline as much as a change in diet.

Tips to lose weight without exercising
You may get confused about can you lose weight without exercise or not. Here are quick tips to help you.
Call it a night earlier
Do you want to eat less? Getting a good night's sleep is your first line of defense. When you don't get enough quality sleep, your body produces more ghrelin, the hunger hormone, and less leptin, the satiety hormone, resulting in uncontrollable hunger pangs.
Furthermore, studies show that your sleep-deprived self craves more unhealthy, high-calorie, and high-fat foods, implying that you will not only eat more food but more junk.
Drink your coffee black.
Over half of all Americans drink coffee regularly, and many add calorie-laden additives to their beverage, such as sugar, flavored syrups, or cream. As a result, rather than being a zero or five-calorie drink, the average calorie count of a cup jumps from 1,280% to 69 calories, according to a recent study published in the journal Public Health. Not only will drinking your coffee black save you nearly 500 calories per week but because sugar accounts for more than 60% of those calories, you'll also reduce your risk of insulin resistance and other metabolic disorders. One of our simple ways to cut calories is to leave the sugar packets on the shelf.
Always carry a water bottle with you.
Did you know that 60% of the time, we respond to thirst by eating rather than drinking? Experts believe the error is caused by the fact that the same part of our brain controls hunger and thirst, which occasionally confuses the signals.
Keeping a water bottle nearby will not only help you respond to thirst correctly, but it will also help you feel full, keep your metabolism humming, and even help you debloat!
A lot of experts suggest drinking water to patients when they ask the question of "how to lose weight without exercising."
Choose 2% as your percentage.
That is dairy fat. You may be surprised to learn that fat-free food does not always equate to a fat-free body.
In a European Journal of Nutrition study, participants who ate full-fat dairy tended to weigh less and gain less weight over time than those who ate nonfat products.
Nonfat foods, according to experts, can be less satisfying overall due to their low-fat content (because fats digest slowly and can keep you fuller for longer) and because many fat-free food items are made with waist-widening artificial ingredients.
Pack a snack
Don't put up with that mid-afternoon groan. According to studies, those who eat late lunches and go the longest between meals consume more calories than those who eat more frequently.
When you're hungry and running on an empty stomach, your body goes into starvation mode and increases the production of hunger hormones, causing you to overcompensate at your next meal. Carry a snack with you at all times to prevent overeating.
Give healthy foods first place on the shelf
We are well aware of the junk food battle. Willpower is not to blame in such a case. A recent study discovered that eating junk food can become a habit that can be perpetuated simply by entering a room (such as your kitchen) or experiencing a food cue (like a fast food commercial).
It will take time and patience to break these bad eating habits, but there is a simple solution: Put healthy foods ahead of junk food in your pantry. So, if you want a cookie, you must push aside the almonds and quinoa to get to it. It will serve as a gentle reminder to maintain your fitness goals.
Brown bag it
Making your lunch puts the calorie-cutting power in your hands rather than the hands of restaurateurs who have no stake in your weight-loss journey.
Preparing healthy lunches under 400 calories will save you 600 calories per meal compared to eating at a standard sit-down restaurant, where a midday meal can average more than 1,100 calories.
To Conclude:
The majority of people would like to lose a few pounds without exercising. But, can you lose weight without exercise? Yes, you can.
Many people do not have the desire or time to exercise. Life is hectic, and your time is precious between working, spending time with family and loved ones, and doing chores. Follow the tips mentioned above and start your weight loss journey without exercising from today.

Tips Of Dibetes Management
There are several types of diabetes, and no two people with diabetes are the similar. So, there isn't a one-size-fits-all protein rich diet for people with diabetes. But we've tips to help you make healthier food choices. These tips for diabetes control are general and can help you manage your sugar level, cholesterol level, and blood pressure level. They can also help you lose your weight and reduce the risk of complications, such as heart attacks and other health conditions, including certain types of cancer. If you are suffering from type 1 diabetes, carb counting is essential to manage your blood glucose levels. If you have type 2, finding a way to lose weight is essential as it improves diabetes level. It can help to reduce your blood glucose. You can take low-carb, Mediterranean, or low-calorie diets. Losing calories can help you lower your blood glucose levels. Whether you are suffering from type 1 or type 2 diabetes, you must lose, gain, or maintain your current weight. It's vital to make healthier high protein food choices while you're doing this.
Tumblr media
Choose healthier carbohydrates
All carbohydrates affect blood glucose levels, so knowing which foods contain carbs is essential. Choose the healthy balanced diet for adults that contain carbohydrates and be aware of your portion sizes.
Balanced diet contains:
· whole grains
· fruit
· vegetables
· pulses such as chickpeas, beans, and lentils
· dairy like unsweetened yogurt and milk
At the same time, it's also essential to cut down on foods low in fiber, and highly processed foods.
Eat less salt
Eating salt in high quantity can increase your risk of high blood pressure, increasing the risk of heart attacks. When you have diabetes, you're already at risk of all these complications. Try to limit yourself to 6g (one teaspoonful) of salt a day. Many pre-packaged foods already contain salt so remember to check food labels and choose those with less salt. Cooking from scratch will help you see how much salt you're eating. You can also swap out salt for different herbs and spices to add that extra flavor.
Eat more fruit and vegetable
We know eating fruit and vegetable is good for your health, and it's always a good thing to eat more at meal times and have them as snacks. This can give your body the vitamins, minerals, and fiber your body needs every day to keep you healthy. You might be wondering if you should avoid it because it's sugary? The answer is no. Fruit is good for, and if you have diabetes, it's no different. It contains sugar, but it's natural sugar, and this is different from the added sugar (also known as free sugars) in items, such as chocolate, biscuits, and cakes. Fruit juices also comes with added sugar, so eat whole fruit instead. It can be fresh, frozen, dried, or tinned (in juice, not syrup). It's best to eat fruits throughout the day instead of one more considerable portion in one go.
Choose healthier fats
We all require fat in our daily diet because it gives us energy. Different kinds of fat affect our health in many ways. Foods like unsalted nuts, seeds, avocados, and sunflower oil are healthier fats. Some saturated fats can surge the amount of cholesterol in your blood, increasing your chances of heart attack. These are found in animal products and prepared food, including:
· red and processed meat
· ghee
· butter
· biscuits, cakes, pies, and pastries.
It's a good idea to cut down on oils, so try to grill, steam, or bake foods instead.
Cut down on added sugar
We know reducing sugar intake can be challenging initially, so small practical swaps are a good starting point when cutting down on sugar. Substituting sugary drinks, energy drinks, and fruit juices with water, plain milk, or tea and coffee without sugar can be a nice start. You can always go for low or zero-calorie artificial sweeteners to help you cut back. Reducing these added sugars can help you control your blood glucose levels and help keep your weight in control.
Take Ensure supplement for diabetes management
Ensure is an absolute, balanced nutrition supplement designed for adults. A tasty and nutritious glass of Ensure provides high-quality protein and 31 other essential nutrients required for a healthy diet. It is a scientifically designed, Diabetes specific formula that can be added to your diet plan and lifestyle modifications and regular exercise.

I know you're not a coffee drinker, but any suggestions or helpful hints for someone who likes sweet coffee but wants to stay in a calorie deficit?
I’d suggest getting some sugar free coffee syrups. Something like this! There are many different brands you can pick from. You can also use unsweetened (vanilla or original) almond milk instead of creamer. If you’re ordering from Starbucks they have zero calorie syrups you can choose, along with getting almond milk instead of regular milk. And skip any drizzles or whipped cream. That will cut down the calories significantly!
These sugar free versions won’t taste as good as the sugary ones, but if you go into it not expecting it to taste exactly the same and just take it for what it is, it’ll actually be good. It’s kind of like how oatmeal raisin cookies are actually really tasty, but when you take a bite expecting it to be chocolate chip it’s unpleasant 😂

my take on the literary masterpiece, the chic diet
Firstly, I am no one. It’s part of my charm. My fifteen minutes of fame was years ago, when I had an instagram niche meme page. I didn’t even take any brand deals! And my posts averaged six thousand likes! Anyhow. I am hardly literate and well hydrated and carry a small sephora-CVS-hybrid worth in my mini tote bag. Here is my guide on how to live like me, the intermediate kitsch-rat, aspiring influencer. But like, in an apathetic, somewhat dissonant, ironic way. I like saying I live by dogmatic principles. But a lot of it, um, is just eating disorder rituals. But that’s not really important. You’re as hot as you say you are, and as much an authority on what you write so long as you say it with, you know, conviction. It’s kind of venerable how fucking delusional I am, actually. Giving any sort of advice like I’m anywhere close to the ritzy ideal of the amphetamine-areyouami label-american. New York, ideally. West Village, preferably. But I guess the kind of guide I can write is better suited to someone living in a suburb, in a house with the twelve-paned windows. I always thought those were so chic. SO quaint, in a somewhat luxe way. Like, Connecticut vibes. My parents used to drive me up there as a child to buy books and ice cream. Nowadays I’d opt for a matcha latte with novelty ice cubes, but I guess at the time it was pretty sweet.
Because I popped a Vyvanse at like, 10pm, this next little bit could go one of two ways. I will write the most articulate, brilliant piece of literature of my life. Magnum opus, if there was a skinnier word for it. Or, I will get wrapped up doing something like folding all my last-season knits (which is part of my look, okay! I don’t have a job!) and fixating on a paragraph on how a girl’s collarbones are almost as identifying as a fingerprint, or a signature. I’m not a graphologist, but if you write your A’s with the little tail on top (like on a computer), you’re probably a snake. Nothing personal, just an observation. Also, I do have a biology final to study for. Not that I’m super anal, or even particularly committed to academia, but even in my precariously manicured (read that as separate terms; I did a good job on my nail polish, okay? But I happen to also be teetering on the brink of an epiphany or a collapse. Hence the use of the word precarious.) state, I know it’s important enough I can let one of my countless side-quests sit idle for a couple more days.
The first section seems only natural to be about hydration. And the whole idea of drinking things, really. There was a section in The Chic Diet about Adderall dry-mouth, which deeply resonated with me. Once I bit off a chunk of a Nivea Strawberry Shine (my favorite lip balm, more on that later) and swished it around my mouth. Didn’t help. Really, really didn’t. Anyway, I suppose that even if it served no purpose for combatting my prevacatingly ingenious cottonmouth solution, I was able to milk a sentence or two out of the experience. “Do it for the Vine”, all grown up! And wearing bananapapaya resin hoops too. Side note, that Etsy shop is a parasocial enemy of mine. It stems from jealousy, which sucks, but hating from inside a club I’m adjacent to is much healthier than being a hateful individual towards people I would, you know, interact with. Daily. Or something. I stopped going to therapy because I felt stupid about going and I don’t live in the right kind of town to warrant vacuous $300 hours. Bitching about my well-adjusted parents and how desperately I wished my anxiety would just “go away” was plainly gross, and a waste. Like, pretty sure almost every problem I have could be solved by a couple painful conversations taking place during a hurricane. Such a shame it doesn’t rain much here. Anyhow, I digress.
Staying hydrated. It is essential to my character, my persona, if you will; to never be without either an elegant metal bottle (I’m loyal to the smooth enamelled S’well ones, printed to look like marble or a semi holographic solid) or a little 16oz tumbler with a metal straw. Hydroflasks were some of the worst things to happen to society. I want to preface this claim with the fact that I wanted one in the same way a teenage girl wants a new iPhone so she can keep up appearances with her dermatologist-dad friends who still have the XR, by the way. But I ended up spending the money on like, a minidress at Brandy Melville before it fled my city. Or maybe a Fresh Sugar tinted lipbalm. For the better, even though the dress has a busted zipper now and the lipbalm tube has inevitably gotten dinged and dented by the other contents of my mini-totebag. Unlike a car, though, a couple scuffs on your laptop or your luxury lipbalm tube looks kind of cool. Like, you’re not someone who values the pristine, unused quality of an item that was ambiguously intended to be used versus displayed on Instagram.  Now, I’m wondering why this paragraph about hydration is so fucking impossible to stay on track for. I literally drink several litres of water a day, and more tea on top of that. And sometimes an almond milk latte if I can budget it in. Not that I’m so anorexic I can’t afford a 45cal latte. They’re just not that important to me. Anyhow. Drinking lukewarm (on the cool side) water is better than ice-cold. Partially because I just get it out of the tap of my ensuite and I can’t be bothered to wait for it to run cold enough every time, and it just seems wasteful. Plus, there is something so.. skinny about drinking water at an “obscure” temperature. Trust me, I want to know why my thought process is like this too. My favorite tea is blueberry tea foraged in a side aisle at my local supermarket. I love a good commercial, high-end steep or fruit infusion as much as the next girl. Maybe more. My pantry is filled with tins labelled with things like “emerald jade organic” and “magic potion”, which is really just currants and butterfly pea flowers. But there is a necessary glamor about drinking dirt-cheap tea on the daily. Seriously, a box of 25 sachets is like, $3. At a higher point with my, um, Adderall problem, I spent like several times that on pills. I didn’t really need to include that, and could have linked the price point to the cost of a drugstore lipbalm, but I wrote it in. And I’m married to it, stubbornly, as all amateur writers should be when they wittle in a somewhat indecorous little joke. This tea is sooo good because it has a strong fruit-reminiscent taste (not as sweet as a fresh blueberry, but who wants that anyway?), it’s zero-calorie, it’s the most GORGEOUS color ever. The latte, the third drink in my little trifecta, is nothing special. But necessary. The trick is to use a milk frother to whip up sugar free syrup with instant coffee and a little bit of hot water in a glass. It’ll make the most luscious foam.. Top it off with almond milk. My dad is a coffee purist, owning both an upstairs keurig AND a downstairs one (among other more analogue methods, but I can’t name-drop, so what’s the point?), so he hates this drink. Now, calling oneself a plebian is so unglamorous and teetering on self-deprecating territory, dangerously close to insecurity. But I can use it here because I am at least posh enough to have a different pair of earrings for every outfit I could possibly come up with, and I only wear Patagonia if I am in a situation where I just have to wear fleece. Like I was saying. It’s such a simple drink, certainly not a delicacy, and… I had a joke about the word plebian but I keep getting up to refill my water and I fear I have forgotten about it.
Next section; the importance of a good tinted balm
In the intro I alluded to how a girl’s collarbones function essentially as an identifier, the way a signature or fingerprint does. This is a lie, or at least an exaggeration. But one’s ultimate tinted lipbalm is  actually extremely indicative about who you are, as a person, as a member of society, even…
If you are loyal to Dior Lipglow, I have a couple questions. One; did you shoplift one tube, once, and refill it with cheaper stuff afterwards? I did that. I consider it one of my better-kept secrets, but now you know. Might as well explain the catalyst for my parent’s first separation now, and the horrifying experience that was meeting my dad’s Manhattan sugar baby (?) at the age of thirteen, wearing an overalls dress from, like, Topshop or something else equally embarrassing. .. Kidding. I digress. It’s such a fancy lipbalm, and good too! It smells like thin mints! But I could just never justify cell phone monthly installation payment money on something I will inevitably talk off. I do own three, but two I stole (before I lost the nerve, somewhat unfortunately) and one, a boy(not)friend bought for me. This is not something I feel any remorse about, because his house was easily four thousand square feet and his sisters had a dedicated all-glass room for their shared peloton. Oil money. Ugh!
My personal favorite lip balm, and I have tried a frightening amount, has got to be the Nivea Fruit Shine collection. The frosted one is shit-ugly. Hideous. But the strawberry one is the love of my life. It’s such a pleasant red, looking healthy and rejuvenated and really completes any look. Only downside is it will always, hopefully not always, remind me of Charles. Kissing Charles, specifically. And him asking me what lipbalm it was, because he knew I was somewhat frivolous and definitive and would have a very long answer. But for whatever reason, I simply stated it was from “out of town”. Not really sure why I said that, but it plagues me (minorly) to this day. Of all the things to make up.. .. The peach one is a perfectly demure spring classic shade. Cherry exists too, but the only tube I have ever had the fortune of owning was purchased in Costa Rica and lost somewhere on the way home. Honestly tragic, it was the juiciest shade. Blackberry is perfect too, but I have to layer it with either peach or untinted lipbalm to avoid what I imagine TooPoor would choose if she believed in tinted lipbalm. I don’t mean this hatefully, I think she’s a queen, but super dark, smudgy makeup suits the eyes better in my opinion. Or something. Or something.
Afraid to bore the reader, I have to move on now. Maybe at a later date I will release an addendum on my ultimate lipbalm buying guide. But also, that is so deeply personal (and everyone needs the excuse of “hunting for the perfect staple shade!!”), so it is really not my place to have any authority on something so intimate and subjective. Etcetera.
Moving on; Decorating your room
Here is a section I lifted out of my memoir document. It fits, because as enigmatic as I hope I am, I am also quite unchanging.
 I just pushed three hangers and two tiny strappy tops with the tags still on, off my bed. Most nights, all, these days, actually; I spend in my large but cluttered bedroom. I have a little ensuite with a jetted tub I’ve never used because I just never get around to it. There’s a plush grey rug, spanning the expanse of the room (covering an ugly cherry wood that doesn’t match the rest of the house; no clue why. I never asked, and the previous owners were eager to sell so they could finally ditch this town and retire in Montreal for the bagels, or Hawaii for the monk seals. Point is, I’ll never know) with loose beads and loose pills and little shards of glass from plier-crushed beads. I vacuum every day. The whole room tells you exactly the kind of person I am; the clutter I possess, the encapsulation of the projects I start, start, start and the hours I don’t sleep for and the clothes I tried on (these to sell, these to cut up with kitchen scissors; thrifted lululemon and aritzia and heaps of knits and plaid fabric..) I would not say the room is a mess. Lived in, maybe. Chopsticks and mugs and gum wrappers. Single dangle earrings. I just finished the last of my Creme Brulee eos lipbalm; disguised as a relic of 2015, I was gifted it Christmas of ‘20. I think my next waxy conquest will be a tinted Burt’s one I palmed a while back, before I lost the nerve. Peering around the room you will see shopping bags strewn about the mouth of my walk-in closet. Every surface has something shiny or colorful stacked up on it. Cluttered, busy, but intentional. Except for the walls, which are bare. Bare and gray and miles-tall when I lie flat on my back, high out of my mind, willing things to change but knowing I’m responsible for a first step I will always be too scared for. Bare, pristine, no gumtack. Empty, Like they’re waiting. I wait around a lot. It makes sense. That was an awful lot of words about my stupid blank walls when truly it does not bother me that much; I really just don’t get around to it. I have other things on the ground to tend to, like post-email nausea, addressing envelopes, marrying wire and bead.  Writing a document I care about because I am determined and I am alive, alive, alive, goddammit.
Excerpt over. The memoir is coming out when I get famous, or something earth shattering happens. Like I become the world’s least remarkable entrepreneur, and I get retweeted by Colorpop. I don’t want to be the next Elizabeth Wurtzel. I read two of her memoirs one restless night, absorbing it to make up for the nutrients I didn’t that day (you can laugh. I think that is pretty clever), heart breaking a little bit. She writes about her struggles so intrinsically, you either get it, or you don’t. Anyway. She had the books and the fame from it, and she wrote more memoirs than I think a single person should. That is admirable. Aspirational, even. But I do not want to be like her. Where was I? Oh. Yes. Decorating/adorning/filling your room. Your room should serve as the kind of place to watch a movie (if you believe in film. I don’t) and put on ridiculous glittery eye makeup, or smoke an ~artistic cigarette~ or stay up all night on the phone, which is different from staying up all night simply on your phone. Chatting with someone you are tepidly in love with is much more exciting. Not chic as the whole affair is so juvenile, but fun regardless. It’s somewhere to keep your worldly possessions, too. I know I have a lot! Also, it is kind of thrilling to hide things in your room in little crevices only you know about. Now, unfortunately, everyone reading this will know too. But, like, I trust you not to really.. do anything about it. I keep my extra juul pods in the sliding box my apple pencil came in. That box is almost more useful than the pencil itself. I’m somewhat morally opposed to the iPad. Whole culture is so embarrassing! I have a tea tin with an ounce of golden teacher shrums in it. This is tossed in my closet among tins filled with other things, like lace trim and buttons. Which makes it actually a pretty terrible hiding spot, I see now… Anyhow. Keeping benign little secrets like that is so fun. You can tell I don’t have siblings. I sort of wish I did, but it is easier to believe there is something aristocratic about being an only child. Not sure if older-sister me would be egalitarian enough to share things. But that’s prophesying, which is kind of a waste of time. I live in the now, in a room positively cluttered with meaningless things that mean the world to me, chewing on my lip because my mouth is just so dry and 5gum is just not an after-8 indulgence. To live truly kitschly, you have to have somewhat hideous decor. Now, do not confuse dissonant, or incoherent, with what I mean by “hideous decor”. The kitsch room has as many surfaces to look at as possible, while also shying away from too many shelving units. Then you risk your room looking like a storage unit or something. When my mom renovated (re: paid someone to do it) our New York house so we could sell it, all our stuff was stacked up in a Cubesmart self storage. It was sort of horrifying, seeing my childhood home reduced to plastic storage tubs piled what felt like thirty feet high. Anyway. It’s just not an  inviting way to store things; I imagine it makes your room look like your stuff is all trapped in gelatin. The more fussy, tiny things you have out in the open, the better. Nail polish. Earring trees. Bowls full of rings and lighters and water color pans perched on your windowsill. A rack with the tackiest assortment of knits and bucket hats and baguette bags. And so forth.. Quickly surveying someone’s room is so telling. Bonus points if all your books are spine-in, except for your favorite ones, because you don’t want people to get the wrong idea. (that you read).

8 tips for healthy eating
Tumblr media
These 8 practical tips cover the basics of healthy eating and can help you make healthier choices.
The key to a healthy diet is to eat the right amount of calories for how active you are so you balance the energy you consume with the energy you use.
If you eat or drink more than your body needs, you'll put on weight because the energy you do not use is stored as fat. If you eat and drink too little, you'll lose weight.
You should also eat a wide range of foods to make sure you're getting a balanced diet and your body is receiving all the nutrients it needs.
In this speedy age it’s hard to maintain health and fitness. We need a lot of time, money and expertise. For the same reason the doctors and Physicians are recommending fitness supplements more than ever. These formulae work best if you are recommended the best. Being a nutritionist, I am recommending a Best Weight Loss Supplement For many months. It gives my clients speedy results, satisfaction and stability. Zero side Effects.
It’s an excellent Fat cutter, energizer, cancer prevention, age restriction, immunity booster and health glower at the same time and in the short time. In maximum 7 weeks you get a slim smart body, shining cheeks, active brain and high level (tested) of immunity. Click Here to see its review.
It's recommended that men have around 2,500 calories a day (10,500 kilojoules). Women should have around 2,000 calories a day (8,400 kilojoules).
Most adults in the UK are eating more calories than they need and should eat fewer calories.
1. Base your meals on higher fibre starchy carbohydrates
Starchy carbohydrates should make up just over a third of the food you eat. They include potatoes, bread, rice, pasta and cereals.
Choose higher fibre or wholegrain varieties, such as wholewheat pasta, brown rice or potatoes with their skins on.
They contain more fibre than white or refined starchy carbohydrates and can help you feel full for longer.
Try to include at least 1 starchy food with each main meal. Some people think starchy foods are fattening, but gram for gram the carbohydrate they contain provides fewer than half the calories of fat.
Keep an eye on the fats you add when you're cooking or serving these types of foods because that's what increases the calorie content – for example, oil on chips, butter on bread and creamy sauces on pasta.
2. Eat lots of fruit and veg
It's recommended that you eat at least 5 portions of a variety of fruit and veg every day. They can be fresh, frozen, canned, dried or juiced.
Getting your 5 A Day is easier than it sounds. Why not chop a banana over your breakfast cereal, or swap your usual mid-morning snack for a piece of fresh fruit?
A portion of fresh, canned or frozen fruit and vegetables is 80g. A portion of dried fruit (which should be kept to mealtimes) is 30g.
A 150ml glass of fruit juice, vegetable juice or smoothie also counts as 1 portion, but limit the amount you have to no more than 1 glass a day as these drinks are sugary and can damage your teeth.
3. Eat more fish, including a portion of oily fish
Fish is a good source of protein and contains many vitamins and minerals.
Aim to eat at least 2 portions of fish a week, including at least 1 portion of oily fish.
Oily fish are high in omega-3 fats, which may help prevent heart disease.
Oily fish include:
salmon
trout
herring
sardines
pilchards
mackerel
Non-oily fish include:
haddock
plaice
coley
cod
tuna
skate
hake
You can choose from fresh, frozen and canned, but remember that canned and smoked fish can be high in salt.
Most people should be eating more fish, but there are recommended limits for some types of fish.
4. Cut down on saturated fat and sugar
Saturated fat
You need some fat in your diet, but it's important to pay attention to the amount and type of fat you're eating.
There are 2 main types of fat: saturated and unsaturated. Too much saturated fat can increase the amount of cholesterol in the blood, which increases your risk of developing heart disease.
On average, men should have no more than 30g of saturated fat a day. On average, women should have no more than 20g of saturated fat a day.
Children under the age of 11 should have less saturated fat than adults, but a low-fat diet is not suitable for children under 5.
Saturated fat is found in many foods, such as:
fatty cuts of meat
sausages
butter
hard cheese
cream
cakes
biscuits
lard
pies
Try to cut down on your saturated fat intake and choose foods that contain unsaturated fats instead, such as vegetable oils and spreads, oily fish and avocados.
For a healthier choice, use a small amount of vegetable or olive oil, or reduced-fat spread instead of butter, lard or ghee.
When you're having meat, choose lean cuts and cut off any visible fat.
All types of fat are high in energy, so they should only be eaten in small amounts.
Sugar
Regularly consuming foods and drinks high in sugar increases your risk of obesity and tooth decay.
Sugary foods and drinks are often high in energy (measured in kilojoules or calories), and if consumed too often can contribute to weight gain. They can also cause tooth decay, especially if eaten between meals.
Free sugars are any sugars added to foods or drinks, or found naturally in honey, syrups and unsweetened fruit juices and smoothies.
This is the type of sugar you should be cutting down on, rather than the sugar found in fruit and milk.
Many packaged foods and drinks contain surprisingly high amounts of free sugars.
Free sugars are found in many foods, such as:
sugary fizzy drinks
sugary breakfast cereals
cakes
biscuits
pastries and puddings
sweets and chocolate
alcoholic drinks
Food labels can help. Use them to check how much sugar foods contain.
More than 22.5g of total sugars per 100g means the food is high in sugar, while 5g of total sugars or less per 100g means the food is low in sugar.
5. Eat less salt: no more than 6g a day for adults
Eating too much salt can raise your blood pressure. People with high blood pressure are more likely to develop heart disease or have a stroke.
Even if you do not add salt to your food, you may still be eating too much.
About three-quarters of the salt you eat is already in the food when you buy it, such as breakfast cereals, soups, breads and sauces.
Use food labels to help you cut down. More than 1.5g of salt per 100g means the food is high in salt.
Adults and children aged 11 and over should eat no more than 6g of salt (about a teaspoonful) a day. Younger children should have even less.
6. Get active and be a healthy weight
As well as eating healthily, regular exercise may help reduce your risk of getting serious health conditions. It's also important for your overall health and wellbeing.
Being overweight or obese can lead to health conditions, such as type 2 diabetes, certain cancers, heart disease and stroke. Being underweight could also affect your health.
Most adults need to lose weight by eating fewer calories.
If you're trying to lose weight, aim to eat less and be more active. Eating a healthy, balanced diet can help you maintain a healthy weight.
7. Do not get thirsty
You need to drink plenty of fluids to stop you getting dehydrated. The government recommends drinking 6 to 8 glasses every day. This is in addition to the fluid you get from the food you eat.
All non-alcoholic drinks count, but water, lower fat milk and lower sugar drinks, including tea and coffee, are healthier choices.
Try to avoid sugary soft and fizzy drinks, as they're high in calories. They're also bad for your teeth.
Even unsweetened fruit juice and smoothies are high in free sugar.
Your combined total of drinks from fruit juice, vegetable juice and smoothies should not be more than 150ml a day, which is a small glass.
Remember to drink more fluids during hot weather or while exercising.
8. Do not skip breakfast
Some people skip breakfast because they think it'll help them lose weight.
But a healthy breakfast high in fibre and low in fat, sugar and salt can form part of a balanced diet, and can help you get the nutrients you need for good health.
A wholegrain lower sugar cereal with semi-skimmed milk and fruit sliced over the top is a tasty and healthier breakfast.

Just a Glance
Summary: Your anxiety’s been getting the best of you lately, feeling as if you’re being watched. Is your mind playing tricks on you, or will your fears be realized?
Pairing: Dark!Steve Rogers x Reader
Word Count: ~4.5k
Warnings: stalking, paranoia, implied NON-CON (no descriptions)
A/N: Hello! So, this is the follow-up to “Just a Taste”, but told from the reader’s perspective this time. While it’s not imperative you read that story first (or at all, really), I highly suggest you do so. As always: heed the warnings! And as a general disclaimer: I DO NOT condone the actions depicted below. To any and everyone who reads this, I hope you enjoy! Gif found here.
Tumblr media
It’s Saturday morning – time to do your weekly grocery shopping. As always, the first stop is at the local farmer’s market. You like coming here not only for the fresh produce, but also to chat with the vendors you’ve become friendly with. You could spend all day talking with them – almost have once or twice – but you have other places you still need to hit today.
It doesn’t hurt to note that making good with the vendors may have some monetary benefits for you, but that’s just an added bonus – the cherry on top. Talking animatedly as the vendors package your slightly reduced-price items, you accidentally whack a few unsuspecting customers while gesturing wildly. You cringe and apologize profusely for your carelessness. Despite being assaulted, the patrons accept your apologies and wish you a good day – letting you off scot-free.
Next stop on your shopping trip is the supermarket. You buy the bulk of your items here: frozen goods, dairy products, various non-perishables. This store has almost everything you need, apart from a few essentials – some absolute necessities: your favorite madeleines, strawberry sorbet, and chocolate-covered pretzels amongst other things; these you can only get from one particular store. But, thankfully, it’s on the way home – your perishables won’t spoil while you run in and grab your few items.
You drive to the store, humming along to your playlist coming through the car’s speakers. When you arrive at the shop, it’s as bustling as ever. Many people must have similar mindsets to you: thinking this shop offers some of the most delicious treats in town. You walk through the familiar aisles knowing exactly where your favorite snacks are housed. You find the pretzels and madeleines easily enough, but can’t find the sorbet. It’s always on the same shelf in the same freezer, but not today.
You start strolling past the freezers, looking through each one – desperately hoping the sorbet’s just been moved and not sold out. Or worse, discontinued. As you search, you pay no mind to the other shoppers around you – your brain totally focused on your mission. Out of nowhere, you walk face-first into what seems to be a steel wall – almost falling on your ass and dropping your basket.
Upon steadying yourself, you realize you didn’t walk into a wall but, rather, a man. A very handsome man, at that. Damn, how did you miss that? Strong jaw, piercing blue eyes, built like a tank – he could be very intimidating if he wanted to be.
You apologize for bumping into him, explaining that you weren’t paying attention to where you were going. He brushes off your apology – all but warning you to watch yourself next time – before he continues past you. He wasn’t as friendly as the people from the farmer’s market, you remark. But it was your fault anyway, so you can’t really blame him for being terse with you.
You continue down the aisle until – hallelujah – you spot your prize. It seems they’d simply moved the sorbet to a different freezer. You grab it from the top shelf, dispense it in your basket, and finish shopping – easily finding the rest of your goodies. After purchasing and loading the items into your car, you drive home – absentmindedly singing to your music.
~~~~~
The following week passes by as usual. On Sunday morning, you meet with your friends for brunch. While Katherine had originally suggested checking out the new omelet place in town, you sided with Layla on wanting to go to your regular pancake house. Thus, you three catch up over fluffy, syrup-y flapjacks – discussing how your respective weeks went.
Nothing incredibly remarkable happened to any of you. Katherine mentions how her boss is hounding her lately, making an ugly face to mock him. Her expression makes you laugh, choking on a bite of pancake. Layla had a saucy date night with her boyfriend on Friday. Her descriptions cause you to pause mid-chew, imagining the position she's graphically detailing.
Your most exciting contribution to the conversation is the mini heart attack you had at the store yesterday. Your friends understand your reaction; having had a taste of your favorite sorbet before, they know why you went feral when searching for it. After eating, splitting the bill, and promising "same time next week", you all head in your separate directions.
Following Sunday brunch, you go to the bookstore – seeing if they’ve gotten any new titles in since last week. Browsing the shelves, you spot a new mystery novel that piques your interest. You buy the book, planning to read it during your lunch breaks and after work.
The remainder of your week follows in monotony. Work Monday through Friday, Netflix and novels during free time, occasional morning runs to burn off the calories from your insatiable sweet-tooth – your routine is well-ingrained into your system. On only one occasion did you forget to bring your new book to work – instead, bringing the one you finished the previous week. It’s not the first time this has happened. You can be forgetful when deviating from your routine.
Come Saturday, it's time to go grocery shopping again. As usual, the first stop is the farmer’s market, second is the supermarket, and third is your favorite store. Luckily, you haven’t run out of your pint of sorbet from last week. Thus, you don’t bother traipsing the freezer section. You did, however, gobble through the madeleines and pretzels – forcing you to replenish your stock.
Wading through the busy aisles, you zero in on your target: pretzels – top shelf, right-hand side. The aisle is crowded, making you have to squeeze past a few shoppers in order to get to your prize. As you reach up to grab the bag, you feel someone brush up against you – likely trying to squeeze behind just as you had done moments ago.
The scent of cedarwood and mint trails after the person, overpowering your sense of smell. That guy wears too much cologne, you chide. You turn your head to look at him, seeing his jacket-clad broad shoulders and blonde hair peeking from under his baseball cap. He must be in a hurry since he swiftly departs the aisle. But you’ve been in his place before: running into the store for only one or two items. In those instances, you didn’t bother grabbing a basket – just as he hadn’t today.
You purchase your few items, load your car, and drive out of the parking lot. Glancing in your rearview mirror, you notice a couple of cars also leaving the grocery store and heading in the same direction as you. You blast your playlist as you drive, impatiently waiting until you can get home and dig into your snacks.
~~~~~
The next few weeks pass more or less the same. Sunday mornings are spent brunching with your friends. You eventually cave and agree to try out the omelet place Katherine suggested; but, upon finding the meal lackluster, you all decide to stick with your usual restaurants next time.
You finish the novel you've been reading. The book was so intriguing that you decide to check out more of the author's work, buying another title from the bookstore. This one is similarly a mystery novel, but it's supposedly more chilling – has much more suspense that builds the feeling of dread in the audience.
You go on morning runs after you have one too many scoops of sorbet the prior night. Running your usual route, you pass by an unfamiliar car parked outside your neighbor's house. You didn't realize Mr. Nelson's son was in town again, assuming that's who the vehicle belongs to. You've never met the man before, but he must be kind-hearted seeing as he's willing to visit and care for his elderly father. Maybe you’ll get a chance to meet him soon.
The days come and go. Working through the week, shopping on the weekend, reading in your free time – nothing is intrinsically different. And yet, something feels off. You can’t explain it. You just have a feeling – a sixth sense, almost. And the sensation only grows as the weeks progress.
At times, you feel as if someone is watching you – boring holes into you. No matter where you are – home, work, shopping – you feel like there’s a set of eyes on you, observing you closely. Furthermore, sometimes you swear you can see a shadow lingering in the corner of your eye. But when you turn to look directly at it, it’s disappeared – vanished in an instant.
Your friends and coworkers notice you getting lost in your thoughts, having to snap you from your daze. When you explain the sensation you’re experiencing, they brush you off – none of them finding any evidence to support your claims. You also don’t have any tangible proof for your assertions, just that feeling in your gut.
You decide to chalk it all up to the novel you’re reading. Must be the book’s foreboding feeling carrying over into real life, you rationalize. Resolving to ignore the pestering thoughts popping up in the back of your mind, you try to continue about your days as normal.
~~~~~
It’s Monday morning – time to go to work. On the drive there, you stop to get your coffee – turning down your music so you don’t have to scream your order through the drive-through. Once you reach the office, you make busy at your desk: going through your emails, checking your calendar; all the usual routine.
A couple of hours into your work, you have that sensation you’ve been feeling the last few weeks. You’ve gotten pretty good at ignoring it lately, but you occasionally happen a glance just to humor yourself. When you turn to look towards the shadow – expecting to see nothing as usual – you gasp.
A burly man stands outside your office window, inches away from the glass. His face is partially obscured by his aviators and baseball cap. Though you can’t see his eyes, you know his gaze is directed at you. You stare back at him, a look of confusion crossing your face. He curls one corner of his lip up before walking away – out of your line of sight.
Swiveling your chair to face your coworker, you ask her if she saw that man outside the window. She doesn’t know what you’re referring to, being too wrapped up in her work to notice anything else. Despite her lack of confirmation, you know you’re not going crazy; there was most definitely a man out there watching you. An uneasy feeling washes over you. Maybe those pestering thoughts aren’t so unfounded, you worry.
Throughout the rest of your day, you continue looking towards the windows – expecting him to show up again. He doesn’t return that day. However, the following morning, you see him again – standing outside your office wearing his hat and sunglasses like last time. Once he catches your eye, he smirks, before turning to walk away. This routine continues through the rest of your work week, making you more anxious as each day passes.
Come Saturday, you desperately need to go shopping – having stress-eaten all of your snacks throughout the week. Your anxiety not only affected your appetite, but also your sleep. Over the last couple of days, you’ve come home from work to find your front door unlocked – it apparently having slipped your tired brain in the morning. You double-check that you’ve locked the door before going shopping.
At the farmer’s market, you happily chat with the vendors – feeling much less perturbed than you have all week. That is, until something – or rather, someone – catches your eye across the way. It’s that man again. He’s here, at the farmer’s market, watching you.
Your voice catches mid-sentence as your breath is stolen from you. You stand stock-still, unable to remove your wide eyes from him. The vendor notices your change in demeanor and waves a hand in front of your face, trying to regain your attention. The distraction pulls your gaze from the man in order to pay for your produce. When you look back across the way, he’s gone – leaving no trace that he was ever there to begin with.
But you know better – know your eyes weren’t deceiving you. That was the same man that’s been at your office all week. The same man that’s been watching you all week. And now, he’s seemingly followed you here.
Panic starts to rise as you walk to your car, contemplating just cutting your shopping trip short and going home. But you can’t do that; you need to buy groceries and this is the only day you can do so. You decide to continue with your normal shopping routine and just be quick about it – no dawdling.
You play your music at a low volume as you drive to your next destination. Doing a speed-run through the supermarket, you practically rip the items off of the shelves in your haste. Every now and then, you peek around the corners of the aisles – expecting to see him standing at the end. You never do, and that makes you release a sharp exhale each time your fears are rejected.
Your drive to your third shopping location is less tense, humming slightly to your playlist. At the store, you still chance a look down the aisles just in case, but you never find him waiting there. Unfortunately, you also don’t find any of your normal goodies – the madeleines, sorbet, and pretzels all gone.
You wander the aisles for what feels like hours, hoping to find the items stocked elsewhere. Upon realizing they are indeed sold out, you become crestfallen. It’s already too late into the day to hit up another store and your frozen goods are likely starting to defrost in your car. Thus, you decide to find some replacement snacks to tide you over until next week – just until you can return and hopefully repurchase your normal treats.
The drive home is worry-free as you sing loudly to your music. You continue humming the tune as you collect your groceries from your car, making your way to the front door. When you go to open it, you find it’s already unlocked. Strange. You swear you locked up this morning.
You step through the threshold, closing the door behind you. As you walk towards your kitchen, you smell something in the air – almost an earthy-toothpaste kind of scent. Strange. The smell differs greatly from the normal lavender air freshener you use. Perhaps, not only did you leave the door unlocked, but maybe you also left a window open and the scent is wafting in that way.
You unload your groceries, putting everything on their appropriate shelves and cabinets. When you open the freezer to dispense your frozen goods, you halt your movements. Sitting on the shelf is a pint of your favorite strawberry sorbet. Strange. You swear you finished off the carton last night. Regardless, you celebrate the revelation – knowing what you’re going to snack on tonight. You finish putting away the groceries before going to spend the rest of your day reading.
Later that night when you’re getting ready for dessert, you reach into the freezer for the sorbet. As you grab it, you notice the weight of it – seemingly a full pint rather than an almost finished one. You look the container over, seeing for the first time a small note taped to it. You definitely didn’t leave that there; you’d have no reason to leave yourself notes on a pint of sorbet. You read the few words of the unfamiliar, looped handwriting: “I hope you taste just as sweet”.
You gasp, dropping the carton onto the counter. It all makes sense now: the unlocked door, the lingering scent, the note on the carton – someone's been in your home, and you have a sneaking suspicion you know who the intruder is.
You grab your phone, frantically dialing the police and explaining the situation. You stay on the line as they send a couple of officers to your home. They search every inch of the house, finding no signs of forced entry and no other evidence someone has been there. With nothing else to offer you, they suggest investing in new locks before leaving you to stew in your anxiety. You sleep uneasily that night.
The next morning, you’re hesitant to leave your house – not yet having told your friends about your discovery last night. However, you figure telling them in-person over brunch is as good an opportunity as ever. Reluctantly, you make your way out the door – triple-checking that you’ve locked it. You drive to the restaurant with your music playing low, frequently checking your rearview mirror.
Upon greeting your friends, they can immediately tell something is off with you – your usual cheery demeanor completely absent. Attempting to keep your composure so as not to work yourself up more, you carefully explain everything that’s led up to today. Remarkably, you don’t break down in tears as you detail your experiences from the past week.
However, your friends fly off the handle at your confession – concern flooding their every feature. Layla offers to help you book an appointment with a home security company – her boyfriend having previously worked there. Katherine advises you on ways to get your stalker off of your trail: changing up your routine, taking complex routes to your destinations, and always staying vigilant. You thank them for their help and take their words to heart.
Brunch passes in uncomfortable silence – at least, from your end. Your friends try to pick up your mood – try dragging you out of your swirling thoughts – but to no avail. You pick at your food, your appetite not having fully returned since last night. Most of the conversation goes in one ear and out the other, your attention too focused on the bodies passing by the restaurant’s windows. As you take your leave after the meal, your friends each give you a firm hug – telling you to call them if you need anything or if anything else happens.
You decide to forego stopping by the bookstore, just wanting to quickly return home. You take different streets back, heeding Katherine’s advice. The drive is silent as you focus your attention on the road – your eyes frequently flicking to your rearview mirrors. You didn’t see him at the restaurant and you don’t notice any cars obviously following you, but that doesn’t dissipate your fears.
The drive takes longer than usual, but, eventually, you arrive back home. Your hand shakes as you reach for the door, hoping – praying – it’s just as you left it. The door is locked as you try the handle. You let out a sharp breath, relief flooding your veins.
You check through your house anyway, finding nothing out of the ordinary in any of the rooms. You sigh in contentment, reassured that no one else has been here. Walking towards the back of the house, you notice a smell get stronger and stronger as you approach your bedroom. The scent is familiar – calling back memories from yesterday – and your fear renews tenfold.
You push on the door, letting it smack against the wall as it swings open. In the center of your bed lies a small, white box. You walk towards it, feeling your heart beating frantically. On the box rests a note – the same looped script from yesterday defiling the otherwise pristine paper. “I can’t wait to have a taste,” the writing reads.
Lifting the lid, you peer into the box’s contents. A package of your favorite madeleines – the ones that were sold out the other day – await you. Tears spring to your eyes as you dash out of the house, once again phoning the police.
~~~~~
The following week passes by in a frenzy. After the police could again find nothing of value – apart from the two notes now in your possession – you take Layla up on her offer, scheduling a new security system to be installed as soon as possible.
It takes a few days for the workman to show up. In the days that pass, you're greeted with another treat-filled box each night you return home from work – the attached notes bearing more and more cryptic and chilling sentiments.
Once the high-tech system is installed, you're given the walk-through on how to operate it. It's a bit complex – all the buttons, codes, and alarms differing greatly from your former lock-and-key mechanism – but it'll give you some peace of mind. It takes some getting used to over the first couple of days, but it starts becoming second nature to remember to set the alarm. The notes stop appearing after the system is installed.
All the while, you follow Katherine's advice to a T. You change up your routine. With some coaxing, your boss agrees to change your hours – having you in the office much more frequently. You stop going on morning runs, choosing instead to work out in the confines of your house. When you do find time to go shopping, you try new stores. The aisles are unfamiliar and the items aren't as delicious as what you're used to, but you'll settle for just about anything at this point.
You start taking long, complex routes anytime you drive somewhere: work, the store, home. A couple of times, you find yourself driving your old routes – absentmindedly listening to your playlist; you chastise yourself on those occasions, having to double around and take twice as long to reach your destination. To make it easier on yourself, you start opting to drive in complete silence – focusing all of your attention on your surroundings.
You try abiding to Katherine's final piece of advice most strictly: staying vigilant. You haven't seen him since that day at the farmer's market, but you still have that gut feeling that he isn't far away – that he'll catch you if you slip up.
You check through your house every time you come home, making sure no more "gifts" have been delivered in your absence. You watch your rearview mirrors almost as much as you watch the road, making sure your car isn't being tailed. Every thorough search and paranoid glance always comes up empty, but you can’t stop yourself from doing them.
It gets a bit tedious at times – going to such extreme lengths over this whole matter. But it's better than having to constantly look over your shoulder, you remind yourself. Though, that's exactly what you're doing. Only, you don't realize it.
~~~~~
The past week has been killer on you. With your new work hours, you’ve been at the office non-stop – sacrificing many hours of sleep. The sleep-deprivation coupled with your ever-present anxiety have taken a toll on you – your body exhausted and brain fried.
On several occasions, you’ve caught yourself slipping back into your old routines: driving the direct rather than extended route to work, forgetting to set the alarm until hours after you’ve already been home, visiting your old stores rather than new ones. You’ve been trying to keep a watchful eye out for yourself, but it’s getting more and more difficult to keep your eyes open at all as the days drag along.
Thus, when you get home tonight, all you want to do is slump into bed and sleep the night away. You unlock your front door – immediately kicking off your shoes and throwing your purse on the entryway table. You kick the door closed before slinking away to your bedroom – barely being able to ready yourself for bed. Once you lie down, sleep promptly overtakes you.
You rest deeply for a few minutes, finally finding some peace. That is, until a sudden noise snaps you awake: the sound of the front door clicking shut. Your eyes fly open, sleep now the farthest thing from your mind. Shit! Someone’s here. Someone’s in your home.
Upon instinct, you know exactly who it is. It’s that man. The man who’s been following you for weeks. The man who’s been terrorizing you for weeks. The man who’s been haunting your dreams for weeks.
You reach over to your nightstand, searching for your phone. It’s not there. You failed to take it out of your purse when you got home. Just like you failed to set the house alarm when you got home. Just like you failed to see the black sedan following you home.
With no other choice, your best option is to hide and hope he goes away – hope he doesn’t find you. You carefully step out of bed – the floorboard making an unholy creak as you gingerly place your foot down. He’ll definitely have heard that, and he’ll be on you any second. In your panic, you fly under the bed – deciding it’s the least obvious hiding spot.
Even in the darkened room, you can see your door swing open and his shoes approach the bed. Your heart beat is thunderous – pumping so much blood through your ears that it drowns out the noise of his footsteps. You put a hand over your mouth as tears begin to fall, trying to choke back the sounds of your whimpers. The tears spill over your cheeks as you watch him move carefully.
He walks to your closet, rifling through it before obviously coming up empty. Next, he moves to your bathroom – spending only a few moments before, again, coming up empty. He walks back towards the bedroom door before stopping at the foot of the bed, directly in front of you. You hold your breath, not willing to make a single sound. The room is still for a moment.
Then, with lightning speed, he crouches down – snatching you out from underneath the bed. His hand quickly replaces yours, covering your mouth and nose. He falls on top of you – his body weighing you down on the bed, trapping you beneath him. You try to scratch at him, but he easily captures your wrists – pinning them between your bodies.
He adjusts his hold on your face, maneuvering his hand to let you breathe through your nose. You intake a sharp breath – the scent of his cologne stings your nostrils, suffocating you. He leans forward to sniff along your neck – causing an icy chill to run up your spine.
He lifts himself slightly, allowing you to see his unobstructed face up close. His irises almost glow in the dim lighting – his eyes peering down at you, penetrating you. His tongue darts out to wet his lips before speaking.
“Just a taste,” he purrs against you, calling back to those notes he left you weeks ago. “That's all I want. Just a taste."
Though his words are innocent enough, the hungry glint in his eyes betrays him. That look tells you what he’s really thinking: he’s finally caught you and this is only the beginning.
__________
A/N: Sorry if you wanted to see exactly what happens next, but I’ll just leave that up to your imaginations. Regardless, I’d love to know what you thought! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
Top five drinks
1) Dragon Drink from Starbucks
It's so good! Since I'm not quite lactose intolerant but can't really handle dairy, this drink is bomb af. The coconut milk is really nice in it and you can't even really taste it. Also, it's so pretty!
2) Green Tea
I do love me a good green tea. Since I don't really drink coffee, tea is my go-to caffeine drink. Actually, tea makes me sleepy, as does anything with caffeine in it...I don't really get an energy boost off of caffeine, it just makes me tired (same with sugar)
3) Dr. Pepper with Cream Soda Zero
I like the plain Dr. Pepper with Cream Soda, but now that it comes in zero, it's great. Same great taste, but zero sugar! Like, I'm not shitting you, this taste exactly like the original. Same with like Dr. Pepper Zero. Since I don't like drinking "Diet --" anything, this is a nice alternative
4) Clear American Sparkling Water
Okay, now, hear me out on this one. I, for one, loathe sparkling water with a passion. It taste like fucking battery acid. Like, it taste bitter. It's fucking gross. But this? This shit? Nah fam, this tastes like you're just drinking soda. Like, this tastes good. It's a great alternative to soda; like if you like the carbonation but like don't want all the calories that soda has, drink this. Good stuff. It's at Walmart
5) Hot Chocolate
I love hot chocolate man. Hot chocolate is the fucking best. And like, if you buy those coffee syrups, you can make different flavored hot chocolate! It's so versatile! (and if you like to drink, you can booze it up a little)
Ask me my Top 5 anything...
Simple Exercise - Free Advice to Lose Weight
More exercise and less eating is the well-known weight-loss slogan. Here are several strategies for weight loss without exercise.
According to many weight-loss plans, you may lose weight by burning more calories via exercise. A recent study published in the journal Current Biology suggests that this might not be the case. So how can you lose weight if you don't exercise?
The scientists found that once you start exercising frequently, your body may get used to this higher activity level. Your body could need less calories overall as a consequence.
Even though exercise can aid in the development of muscles that burn fat, a dietary modification may be more effective in shrinking your waistline.
Tips to lose weight without exercising
You might be perplexed about whether or not you can lose weight without exercising. I've got some short advice for you.
Call it a night earlier
Want to eat less, do you? The first line of protection is a restful night's sleep. You have uncontrollable hunger pains when you don't get enough good sleep because your body creates more ghrelin, the hunger hormone, and less leptin, the satiety hormone.
Additionally, studies demonstrate that when you lack sleep, you seek more unhealthy, high-calorie, and high-fat foods, which suggests that you won't just consume more food, but also more garbage.
Drink your coffee black.
More than half of all Americans routinely consume coffee, and many of them top it off with calorie-dense ingredients like sugar, flavoured syrups, or cream. A recent research that was published in the journal Public Health found that as a result, rather than being a zero or five-calorie drink, the average calorie count of a cup increases from 1,280% to 69 calories. You'll save over 500 calories each week by drinking your coffee black, and because sugar makes up more than 60% of those calories, you'll also lower your chance of developing insulin resistance and other metabolic diseases. Leaving the sugar packets on the shelf is one of our easy methods to decrease calories.
Always carry a water bottle with you.
Did you know that we choose to eat rather than drink when we are thirsty 60% of the time? Experts say that the mistake results from the same area of our brain that regulates hunger and thirst occasionally confusing the signals.
Not only will keeping a water bottle close by help you properly respond to thirst, but it will also help you feel full, maintain a healthy metabolism, and even help you lose weight!
Many professionals advise patients to drink water when they inquire about "ways to lose weight without exercising."
Choose 2% as your percentage.
Dairy fat is that. You might be shocked to hear that eating fat-free meals does not necessarily translate into having a physique free of fat.
In a research published in the European Journal of Nutrition, full-fat dairy consumers had a tendency to weigh less and acquire less weight over time than nonfat consumers.
Experts claim that nonfat foods may be less gratifying overall as a result of their low fat content (since lipids breakdown slowly and can keep you hungry for longer) and the fact that many fat-free food products are produced with artificial substances that might broaden the waist.
Pack a snack
Don't tolerate that midday moan. Studies show that those who skip meals or wait the longest between them eat more calories than others who eat more often.
Running on an empty stomach when hungry causes your body to go into famine mode, which stimulates the release of hunger hormones and makes you overeat at your next meal. Always have a food on you to avoid overeating.
Give healthy foods first place on the shelf
We are fully aware of the conflict over junk food. In this situation, willpower is not at fault. According to a recent research, the mere act of entering a space (like your kitchen) or being exposed to a food signal might make it easier for someone to continue consuming junk food (like a fast food commercial).
Breaking these negative eating patterns will take time and patience, but there is a straightforward fix: Prioritize nutritious things in your cupboard above junk food. So, in order to get to the cookie, you must move the quinoa and almonds aside. It will act as a friendly reminder to keep working toward your fitness objectives.
Brown bag it
Making your own lunch gives you control over calorie reduction rather than leaving it in the hands of restaurant owners who have no vested interest in your effort to lose weight.
When compared to dining at a typical sit-down restaurant, where a midday meal can often include more than 1,100 calories, making healthy lunches under 400 calories every meal can save you 600 calories per meal.
To Conclude:
Most individuals want to shed a few pounds without working out. Can you, nevertheless, lose weight without exercising? You can, indeed.
Numerous folks lack the motivation or time to workout. Your time is valuable since you have to balance working, spending time with loved ones, and performing tasks in a busy life. Utilize the advice provided above to begin losing weight without exercising right away.
Coffee hacks to reach your weight loss goals
Coffee is a necessity for several people. And it even has health benefits, like it keeps blood pressure in check. Also, it can even increase your metabolism, which helps with your weight loss goals. However, several people become careless with their coffee drinking habits, which gives it a bad name.
Tumblr media
If you drink your coffee black or with low-fat milk and without excess sugar, it will not derail your weight loss effect. However, if you drink calories by introducing cream and sugar in your milk, it will undoubtedly increase your weight.
So, the next time you drink pods flavor coffee, remember to make it healthy by not adding any additives. Here are few other coffee hacks to keep in mind to reach your weight goals.
1. Coffee should never be your first meal in the morning
Several people drink coffee first thing in the morning without even eating a bite of toast. It is not ideal. When you drink coffee empty stomach, it destroys your hunger, and you end up skipping meals. That leads to overeating in the day.
The best thing to do is to eat something first and then enjoy your coffee. You can even drink it with your breakfast.
2. Don’t drink coffee late in the day
Around 4-5 pm, we start to feel sluggish, and hence we want to drink a cup of hazelnut flavored coffee pods. However, it can disturb your sleep and even impact the quality of the same. When you don’t get enough or proper sleep, you are annoyed the whole day. Also, it makes you choose unhealthy food, and you end up eating too much or too little.
3. Limit the amount of sugar you add in your coffee
Added sugar, which you can add to your coffee in the form of creamers or syrups, or at the table adds too many calories to your drink. The ideal sugar intake for women daily is 25 grams and for men is 36 grams.
If you want flavor in your coffee, you can add vanilla extract or peppermint, or nutmeg. If you like sugar, add stevia instead or drink only one cup of coffee with sugar.
4. Limit artificial sweeteners as well
Artificial sweeteners like honey or maple syrup need to be used in limits as well. They don’t have many calories, but they don’t even add any value to your diet.
And when you use them continuously, it can stop your weight loss plan. It is best to stick to non-sugar coffee drinks or drink once in a while with sugar.
5. Try flavored coffee
Sometimes, you crave sugar coffee because it undoubtedly enhances the taste of your coffee. So, instead of giving in to your cravings, try flavored coffee like caramel or vanilla, or hazelnut. Look for brands with zero added sugar in their flavored coffee. It will twist things up, which is just perfect for you.
6. Do not pair coffee with unhealthy things
If you pair your coffee with biscuits or cookies, it will be unhealthy. Doing it once a blue moon is fine. However, doing it regularly is never ideal.
With these hacks, you can drink coffee without letting it affect your health or diet plans.
Title: Everything You Do Convinces Me More - Chapter 2 Collaborator Name: ceealaina Card Number: 3088 Link: AO3 Square Filled: A4 - Pining Ship: Stony Rating: Explicit Major Tags: Pranks and Practical Jokes, Explicit Sexual Content Summary: Steve likes to prank people. And then he and Tony hook up. There's some kind of connection to the two events in there somewhere. Word Count: 9383
Steve sighed heavily for the fifth time in an hour as Tony flicked the ‘page’ on the document he was reading on his tablet. Truthfully he hadn’t actually read a word in more than twenty minutes, but he continued to focus on the screen, pretending to be fascinated by whatever he found there. He could feel Steve’s eyes on him, staring at him over his empty breakfast plate, but Tony didn’t dare look up at him for even a second, certain that if he met Steve’s gaze he’d start laughing and ruin everything. He grabbed for his coffee mug, taking a long sip to hide the quiver of a smile in his lips.
Eventually Steve couldn’t linger over his long-finished breakfast any more, and he pushed his chair back from the table, sighing again.
“Jesus Christ,” Tony heard Clint mutter from the toaster.
“I’m going for a run,” Steve announced to the room at large. “And then I’ll be around the tower. If anyone needs me.” He got mumbled affirmations from Sam and Clint, and waited a long beat. “Bye Tony.”
“Bye Cap,” Tony said, trying to sound as absent as possible, and oh god, he couldn’t look up, he couldn’t, he couldn’t, he was going to start to laugh. He choked it back down, swallowing and biting at his lip until he heard Steve leave the room. Then he composed himself enough to look up and stare at the door longingly for a long minute before swallowing back half the coffee in one go and hopping to his feet. “Shit, I’m so late,” he said for Sam and Clint’s benefit. “Pep’s gonna kill me.”
He was just outside the door when he heard Sam and Clint both groan, Clint grumbling something about drowning in sexual tension. Tony bolted, and managed to make it to the stairwell before he burst out laughing, having to sit on the step to catch his breath.
***
Twenty minutes later found Tony not at SI or in the lab, but straddling thick thighs, fingers running through soft hair as he made out with Steve, the two of them sprawled in his favourite recliner.
“Is this what we’re calling “a run” now?” he teased, pulling away enough to appreciate Steve’s heavy eyes and swollen, red lips.
“I mean…” Steve’s eyes sparkled mischievously as he dragged his tongue slowly along his upper lip, knowing exactly what that did to Tony. “It’s technically still exercise, just… a different form of exercise.”
Tony giggled a little, shifting on Steve’s lap to press in closer, kissing him again. “I don’t know, Steve,” he hummed between kisses, shivering a little as Steve’s big hands wrapped around his thighs, pulling him in tight until they were pressed entirely together, Steve’s hips arching into the contact. “So far there hasn’t been that much exercise involved. Kissing only burns like 90 calories an hour.” He moaned softly as Steve nipped at his lower lip. “And running is like — oh — like 100 calories a mile. And you can run what, 26 miles in an hour, when you’re not even trying that hard? So, so…” He trailed off for a second, nails digging into the back of Steve’s neck when long fingers slipped under his waistband at the back of his pants. “So we’d have to — fuck, Steve — have to kiss for like 28 hours to burn the same amount of calorieees.” His voice trailed off into a high-pitched whine as Steve’s finger slid down the cleft of his ass, making Tony’s toes curl.
“Mmm-hmm,” Steve said, sounding faintly amused as he kissed over Tony’s neck. “Fuck, I love it when you talk science in bed.”
Tony huffed out a laugh, squirming against Steve. “Technically… technically it’s math.”
Steve made a face at him, biting down on his earlobe in retaliation and making Tony groan happily at the feeling. “God, the attitude.” He shook his head, laughing even as he  spoke. “You wanna burn more calories, Shellhead?”
He didn’t give Tony the chance to respond before he was abruptly standing up. He nearly upset Tony on the floor, catching him at the last second and smirking at the shriek Tony let out.
“Ingrate,” Tony grumbled, no heat in his voice as his thighs tightened around Steve’s waist. Steve just laughed and bit at Tony’s lower lip as he moved them towards the bedroom. He kicked the door open, which absolutely did not make Tony squirm against him, and all but tossed him on to the bed. Tony was still giggling when Steve climbed up over him, framing him with his body and grinning down at him before kissing Tony again. “God, you feel good,” Tony moaned, head tilting back as Steve ground down against his dick. Then he snorted with laughter. “Did you see Clint’s face when you made that sad little sighing sound?”
Steve groaned, the sound decidedly unsexy. “You are not thinking about Clint right now.”
“What?” Tony blinked up at him with wide eyes, the hint of a smirk playing around the corner of his lips. “I can multitask!”
Steve arched an eyebrow at him and then was yanking Tony’s pants down over his hips in one quick movement, shoving his legs up and settling quite comfortably between his legs with his mouth hovering over Tony’s silk boxer briefs, pulled tight around his hard cock.
“Tony,” he said. “You’re not thinking about Clint right now.”
Tony shuddered beneath him. “Sure thing, Cap,” he said, grinning and arching his hips up. “Whatever you say.”
***
A couple of days later, Natasha walked into the gym and stopped dead. “Uh.”
In a rare moment of speechlessness, she glanced behind her and then up at the ceiling, half expecting Clint to be hanging from the vents, recording her. When there was no one else to be seen, she looked forward again, frowning at the sight of Tony, splayed across one of the crash mats and staring aimlessly up at the ceiling. One hand was resting over his chest and he gave a long, drawn-out sigh.
“Uh,” she said again, and then shook her head. “Tony? You alright?”
“Hmm?” Tony startled, like he hadn’t even noticed her coming in, and then shook his head. “Sorry, I was just… Thinking.”
Nat wrinkled her nose, blinking up at the speakers. “Is this Air Supply?”
Tony hummed along to a few bars of All Out of Love before looking over at her. “Yeah, I guess so,” he admitted before falling back into silence. Nat shook her head.
“Didn’t you have a meeting this morning?”
“Yeah,” Tony admitted with a heavy sigh. “I wasn’t feeling it, so I cancelled.” He blinked at her. “Sorry, did you want to work out?”
“That is generally what people do in the gym,” she agreed, giving a pointed look to his current position.
“Right, of course. I’ll go.” He hauled himself to his feet with a forlorn sort of look over to the doors. “Sorry, I was waiting… Thought somebody…” He trailed off and cleared his throat. “Anyway. Have a good workout, Nat.”
Nat waited until he was gone before pinching the bridge of her nose and swiping a hand over his face. “Jesus fucking Christ,” she muttered before setting out to take on the heavy bags extra hard. “If those two aren’t already fucking, I’m gonna throw them both off the roof.”
***
Steve was going over some case files when Rhodey walked in. “There you are!” he yelled, making Steve stare up at him with wide eyes. Before he could respond, Rhodey was tossing a notebook down on the table beside him. “What the fuck is this?”
“Oh.” Steve zeroed in on the book and felt his cheeks heat up. It was a joke, but it was still a little embarrassing. His ‘diary’ was filled with terrible poetry and ridiculously detailed descriptions of how much he loved various aspects of Tony that most people wouldn’t even notice. In his defense, Rhodes was the last person he’d expected to find it. “Uh, where…” He cleared his throat. “Where did you get that?”
Rhodey arched an eyebrow, looking totally unimpressed. “It was by the pool. Laying it on a little thick there, aren’t you Rogers?”
“Uh. What do you mean?” Steve asked, not quite able to meet his eyes.
Rhodey made a noise like he was embarrassed on Steve’s behalf and then picked it up, rifling through until he found a particular page. “Tony’s eyes are so beautiful, I could drown in them. They’re like chocolate syrup, melting in the coffee he drinks so much. They’re so warm and inviting, and I love the way they sparkle when he laughs, the way his skin crinkles up around them. There’s so --,”
“Okay, okay!” Steve burst out, not sure if he wanted to laugh, or melt into a puddle of humiliation. He groaned, burying his face in his hands. “Please stop.”
Rhodey tossed the book back down into his lap. “Not even Barton is gonna buy that shit.”
“It’s not shit,” Steve protested automatically, before picking up on what he was saying. “Wait. You know?”
Rhodey rolled his eyes, but there was the hint of a smile on his lips. “I’m sorry, was I not supposed to know that you two have been fucking for months? If anyone knows what Tony looks like when he’s smitten and getting some, it’s me.”
Steve rubbed at the back of his neck to hide his smile. “He’s smitten?” he asked, feeling his cheeks flush all over again.
“Good lord, you two are disgusting, and absolutely meant for each other.” Rhodey grinned at him. “But Rogers, you hurt him, and I will end you.”
Steve couldn’t help grinning back. “Square deal.”
***
Steve was back in the big communal kitchen with Clint and Sam when Tony walked in, typing on his phone with one hand, the other occupied with a tray of coffee. Fucking with the team or not, Steve couldn’t keep his eyes from trailing down Tony’s body in appreciation. His suit jacket had already been abandoned, and Steve let his eyes linger on the curve of Tony’s ass before he ducked his head to hide the stupid smile spreading across his face.
“Hey Shellhead,” he said to the table before finally composing himself enough to lift his head. Fortunately, Sam and Clint took the flush of his face as embarrassment -- he didn’t miss their shared eyeroll. “How was your meeting?”
Tony positively beamed at him, and god, Steve was so going to drag him to bed later. “Rocked it,” he told him, pleased, before scoffing just a little. “Come on, Cap, was there really any doubt?”
“Nah,” Steve admitted, eyes still locked with Tony’s. “You’re amazing at everything you do.”
Their eyes stayed on each other for a few moments longer, and then Steve realized that they were probably being a little obvious, especially when he noticed that Sam and Clint had progressed to full-on nudging each other, waggling their eyebrows and looking back and forth between the two of them. Tony seemed to realize the same thing at the same time, and in almost perfect unison they looked away from each other again. Steve cleared his throat to keep from laughing.
“Hey!” Tony said brightly. “I brought coffee for everyone.” He set the take-out tray in the middle of the table, but then yelped when Sam reached for one. “Oh no, wait, sorry. That one’s for Steve.” He gave him an extra smile. “Put in that caramel syrup you like.”
Steve resisted the urge to glare at him. He hated caramel syrup, the taste too sweet for his hyperactive taste buds, and Tony knew it. Sam knew it too, but as he opened his mouth to comment, Steve kicked him discreetly in the ankle and ignored his wince as he beamed back at Tony. “Thanks, Tony! That’s fantastic.”
He took a long sip, bracing himself, but warmth that had nothing to do with the coffee spread through him as the taste of hazelnut -- his actual favourite -- flooded his mouth. Good lord, he loved this man.
They made small talk for a few minutes, long enough for Steve to finish his extra-large coffee, and then he excused himself, leaving the empty container on the table. He lingered in the hall because he couldn’t help himself, wanting to listen.
Clint went to throw his own empty cup in the garbage, grabbing Steve’s as he went, but Tony grabbed his arm before he could. “Ow!” Clint whined, more on the principle of the thing since Tony hadn’t actually grabbed him that hard. “What the fuck, Stark?”
“I’ll, uh. I’ll take that. Steve’s cup.”
Clint arched an eyebrow at him as Tony yanked it out of his hand. “It’s empty.”
“Yep.” Tony agreed. There was a long, awkward moment of silence, Clint and Sam both staring at him, and then Tony cleared his throat. “Anyway, is that Pepper I hear arriving? Better run, you know how I hate paperwork. Bye!”
He practically ran through the door and Steve grabbed him in the hall, pushing him up against the wall and kissing him before Tony’s laughter could escape and give them both away. “Really, Tony?” he asked. “An empty coffee cup?”
Tony grinned up at him, eyes sparkling, and squirmed a little as Steve loomed over him. “Well.” He shrugged, unrepentant. “Your lips touched it.”
Steve snorted. “That’s not the only thing my lips are gonna touch,” he growled. Then he clapped his hand over Tony’s mouth as he cackled in delight. “You’re a menace,” he told him, laughing himself. “You’re going to get us caught. Come on, we’re going to bed.”
“Oooh,” Tony teased as Steve practically dragged him down the hall. “An afternoon delight. My favourite.”
Steve ignored that, not letting go of Tony’s hand until he had dragged him to his own suite of rooms, marginally closer than the penthouse. Tony was laughing the whole way, loving it when Steve got all demanding like this.
They managed to make it to Steve’s bedroom without getting caught, more and more of a miracle every day, and Steve immediately shoved Tony onto the bed, crawling on top of him and smothering his laughter with more kisses.
“You know,” he said conversationally when he pulled back. “A fella could take the fact that you’re still laughing the wrong way.”
Tony laughed harder, but his fingers were drawing tantalizing equations over Steve’s back. “Sorry,” he told him, not sounding it at all. “I’m just… Happy.”
Steve felt a stupid smile creeping across his own face. “Well. I’m glad I make you happy.”
Tony snorted. “It’s not you,” he told him, obviously lying. “I just like… Pranking the team.” He couldn’t seem to stop smiling though. “Jeez, Rogers. Vain much?”
“Oh right, of course. It’s the team. My mistake.” He ducked his head, sucking a bruise into Tony’s collarbone that finally stopped him from laughing, tossing his head back with a low groan. His legs tightened around Steve’s hips, hands sliding lower to pull up the hem of his t-shirt and scratch his fingers over his back. Steve grinned against his skin, flicking his tongue out to soothe the sting and delighting in the way Tony shivered beneath him at the touch.
“That better not be above my collar,” he grumbled, but he was grinning, his voice already rough with want. “I have important meetings, Rogers. Gotta be presentable, business appropriate. I have a reputation, you know?”
Steve huffed out a laugh against Tony’s neck, making him shiver again at the sensation. “When in your life have you ever cared about being business appropriate?”
“I resent that,” Tony told him, face open and bright. “I think you better make it up to me.”
“Oh yeah?” Steve kissed his way down Tony’s neck, unbuttoning the top button of his shirt to give him more access to skin. “How would you like me to do that?” he asked, smiling smugly when he felt Tony’s hips rock up against his.
“Jesus, Steve,” Tony grumbled, still laughing. “Just get inside me, already.”
Steve grinned, but he didn’t do it right away. Slowly, he unbuttoned Tony’s shirt and kissed his way down his chest as he went. He took his time, teasing Tony’s skin with fingers and teeth and tongue until he was a panting, squirming mess beneath him, hands scrabbling over Steve’s cotton-clad back.
“Steve,” he whined, dragging his name out and bucking his hips up to grind their cocks together and make them both groan. “God, you’re such an asshole.”
Steve lifted his head long enough to smirk at him before arching up to close his lips around a nipple, tugging at it with his teeth until Tony was hissing out a breath.
“Okay, okay,” Steve laughed. “I’m sorry.” He leaned back, tugging his shirt off over his head and preening a little at the way, no matter how many times they had done this, Tony’s eyes caught on his chest, a soft, involuntary, pleased noise slipping past his lips. Ducking his head to hide his smile, Steve busied himself with hauling off Tony’s pants, then squirmed his way out of his own, laughing when Tony’s attempts at ‘helping’ ended up with him groping Steve’s ass, and the whole thing taking twice as long as it should have.
“God, you’re a nuisance,” Tony muttered, like it was somehow Steve’s fault. Steve bit his upper thigh in retaliation, then patted the side of his ass.
“Come on, pass me the lube.”
“Fucking finally,” Tony crowed, arching up — and conveniently bringing his dick closer to Steve’s mouth in the process — to rummage around in the nightstand. Steve licked a bead of precome from the tip of his cock, unable to resist, and distracted them both enough that the bottle of the lube bounced off his forehead when Tony tossed it at him. Laughing, he squirted some onto his fingers, wiggling them at Tony.
“Ready?” he asked, grunting when Tony just planted a foot on his chest and shoved him. He didn’t move, of course, just snickered to himself before sliding a finger inside without hesitating. Tony groaned, going boneless beneath him, and Steve rubbed over his prostate just to hear the noise he made.
“Steve, Jesus. Another one, come on.”
And really, Steve was tempted to tease him, make him beg, but he was hard as hell, and he could never resist when Tony got all demanding like this. Giving in, he added a second finger, scissoring them quickly until he could add a third and Tony was panting and twitching beneath him.
“Okay,” Tony gasped out, his voice hoarse and needy and just how Steve liked it. “Okay Steve. I’m good, I promise. Get in me.”
Steve pulled his fingers free and Tony fumbled for the lube that Steve had lost in the sheets somewhere. Before he could say another word, Tony was squirting some into the palm of his hand, sitting up to reach between them and close his fist around Steve’s cock, slicking him up.
“Oh, fuck,” Steve ground out, fingers clenching in the sheets as his head dropped and his eyes clenched shut. “Jesus, you feel so good.”
“Yeah?” Tony’s grin was obvious, even with Steve’s eyes closed. “‘Bout to feel a whole lot better,” he promised. “Come on, Steve. Come on, come on, come on.”
He was still stroking over Steve’s thick length as he goaded him, twisting his wrist and dragging his thumb over the spot that made him shudder, and it took Steve a minute to catch his bearings as little tremors of pleasure slithered through him. But then he got a hold of himself enough to pry Tony’s hand free, closing his hands around both of Tony’s wrists and pinning them to the bed by his head. He smirked at Tony, arching an eyebrow and all but daring him to protest, and when all he got back was a delighted grin, he couldn’t help kissing him again, all hot and open with probably too much tongue, but perfect all the same.
Steve took advantage of Tony’s distraction to push into him without any further warning, loving the way he could feel the breath rush out of his lungs. Steve didn’t hesitate to slide all the way inside him, not stopping until his balls were pressed against his ass and Tony had broken off the kiss to tip his head back, nails digging into Steve’s back hard enough to leave bruises.
“Fuck,” he groaned, arching his back to try and pull Steve even deeper. “You feel… Feel so good, honey.” He made a choked noise as Steve pulled back and thrust into him again, dragging it out so that Tony could feel every single inch. “Yeah, just like that. Faster, Steve,” he mumbled, not seeming to care that he was contradicting himself from one sentence to the next. “Come on, baby. Fuck me like you mean it.”
He lifted his head to give Steve a wink, and who was he to deny an order like that? Shifting them slightly, Steve folded Tony in half and pulled his legs over his shoulders -- not missing the squeaking noise that Tony made at how easily he manhandled him -- and began to fuck him hard and fast, bed rocking with each thrust like some kind of cliche.
Steve couldn’t have said how long he kept it up, his body hot and overwhelmed with the sound of Tony moaning beneath him, the feel of him all tight and hot around his cock. He drove into him harder and harder, could feel his balls pulling up tight and his toes beginning to curl, and he was just beginning to think that he couldn’t hold out any longer when Tony let out a desperate, whining noise between his teeth.
“Steve, I’m gonna…” He scratched at Steve’s back again, like he couldn’t figure out what else to do with himself, and despite how close he was to his own orgasm, Steve couldn’t help snorting into his shoulder. That earned him a smack, and Tony’s teeth closing around his earlobe just a little too hard. “Come on, you bastard.”
Somehow Steve found it in himself to hold on just a little longer, to lift his head and give Tony a shit-eating grin. “Sorry, what is it you wanted?” he asked and then, before Tony could work himself into a tizzy, he was closing his hand around his cock. “This?”
Tony couldn’t answer, vision going sightless as Steve tightened his fist, every one of his thrusts fucking Tony’s cock up into the tunnel of his palm and fingers. An instant later Tony was crying out, spilling over Steve’s fingers and his own chest and stomach. His entire body tightened around him, and Steve groaned, letting go of him to plant his hands on the mattress and fuck into him a handful more times before he was following suit, burying his head with a groan as he came deep inside him. He was still panting into Tony’s neck when he felt him patting over his back in a way that was probably supposed to be soothing, but missed the mark entirely.
“I can’t tell if I love you, or hate you,” Tony told him dryly, Steve’s resulting laughter shaking them both.
***
Afterward, Steve lay stretched out on his back with Tony sprawled across his chest, fingers trailing absently over his skin.
“Hey,” Steve told him, rubbing a hand up his spine. “I found a notepad, and I wrote your name a bunch of times with hearts all around them. Left it right beside the controllers for the next time Clint and Thor play video games.”
Tony started laughing, hiding his face against Steve’s chest and making him twitch as the vibrations of his beard tickled his skin. “Come on, Steve. If you really wanted to sell it, you’re supposed to write our last names hyphenated together.”
Steve hummed consideringly. “Steve Rogers-Stark, huh?”
“Uh, excuse me?” Tony snorted. “Clearly we would be the Stark-Rogers...es.”
“Oh, of course.”
“Trust me, Steve. I know these things. The flow works much better. It’ll look fantastic on the business cards.”
Steve burst out laughing at that, nearly knocking Tony onto the floor in the process. “Right,” he managed, practically choking on his laughter. “The business cards, of course. Clearly the most important thing to consider.”
Tony huffed, pretending to be put out even as he snuggled further into Steve. “Clearly,” he muttered.
They settled into comfortable silence for a few minutes, and Tony was nearly dozing when Steve spoke again.
“Steve Stark-Rogers. I think I like the way that sounds.”
Tony went still beneath him, holding his breath. “Do you?” he asked. “We could… I mean. That could be a thing.”
“Might give the game away,” Steve pointed out.
“Maybe,” Tony admitted, but then he was lifting his head to beam at Steve. “But think how badly we could troll the team.”
whelp i binged on halloween candy while playing among us. on the plus side it’s only nibs left and i don’t really like nibs. i have a 6.75h shift tomorrow so i’m trying to figure out a good breakfast and lunch bc i think after my lunch break i’m gonna water fast for 24h
breakfast is going to be 2 soft boiled eggs, maybe a packet of oatmeal, and an iced coffee with splenda, zero sugar hazelnut syrup, and an ounce of homo milk again. that’d be 272. i could potentially use more cashew milk for the same or fewer calories but i don’t think it’d taste quite as good
i’m thinking for lunch 2 cups unshelled edamame, 2 apples with 24g pb&me, whatever raspberries i have left (like 1/3 cup), and two clementines. that’s exactly 500 kcal, and brings that daily up to 772. that’s not including doing the next day’s worth of exercises from my app tho, and i might do 2 days worth tomorrow to make up for today. tbh i’ll likely go back to two days worth every day like i was doing for a while
Apple diet day 1
I’ll start by saying I’m not going to count calories on this , usually my limit is anything under 1000 and if I'm eating 5-6 apples a day and nothing else its pretty much impossible to go over.
Breakfast- 2 apples and water with apple cider vinegar (first time having it and I had too much so I feel crap!)
Lunch- 2 apples and black coffee with zero cal syrup
Dinner- Stewed apples with cinnamon
I’ve found that cooking the apples makes them so much nicer because the texture is nicer and its so nice to have something warm, seriously try it its like an actual dessert with the same calories as apples!
Energy wise I have been feeling surprisingly the most energetic I have in a while, I burned around 400 cal at the gym today which is more than my usual and I’ve been a lot more talkative. I don’t know whets caused this but last night I just couldn’t sleep at all I felt like I just couldn’t stay still but strangely I don't feel tired at all!!
I thought this would be awful but I genuinely look forward to the next two days of this.
Broth-based soups (chicken/veggie/beef broth, not cream) and plain popcorn come to mind...shrimp is also very low cal and high protein.
What really confuses my family is when i take out my ice cream sandwich. Little do they know, its a klondike 100 calorie light bar, but it looks like a regular ice cream bar so it doesn't raise suspicion.
cooked veggies with shrimp
Thing I always do is an eggwhite omelette with celery and tuna. My fam says its gross cuz of the two mixed but you only need like 3 eggwhites, maybe a half can of tuna and a bit of chopped up celery. Makes a lot for low cal!
I always go for like 5 saltine crackers and a laughing cow cheese wedge
I got kelp noodles recently - the entire bag is 18 calories. They're clear and can be served cold or hot. Mostly good for Asian foods and salads.
I make egg and cheese wraps for dinner..the whole thing comes to around 200 cals as a meal...1 tortilla, 1 small egg and like, a slice of low fat cheese...it also makes me feel full which is good, esp. when paired with coffee
shrimp. Went out to all you can eat crabs with my friends tonight (ugh, shoot me). While they were pigging out on 5000+ cals of crabs, I was just peelin' my shrimp super slow and eating about 100 cals of shrimp, which took forever and made me look sups normal. Even the cocktail sauce doesn't have that many cals and it is delish
at school for lunch I have a half of a pb sandwich. it's 40 cal bread with pb2 (around 30 cal because I don't use the whole 2 tbsp) so that equals 70 cal. I have it with some fruit (50 cal) and cucumber or celery (0 cal)
My caramel frozen yogurt bars are only 100 calories and are a great dessert, especially around people.
My suggestions are:
Try having silken tofu instead of hard tofu because people don't tend to differentiate between different varieties of the same foods even though they can have substantially different caloires. I don't know where you live but here in Australia the Macro silken tofu is only 50 calories for 100g while hard tofu is over 100 calories or more for the same amount.
Home made ice blocks/popsicles with diet drinks and fruit (I mentioned this recently on a different forum, I'm not steal, promise!!!)
Instead of steaming veggies roast them - ie 'carrot fries', because they have that association with fries even though they are low cal
It's already been said by rice cakes (You can find 10cm diameter ones for 23 calories) and you can top them up with salads and hummus etc.
Low calorie smoothies ie. Made with just frozen fruit, ice and water
1 cup silk unsweetened almond milk with sweetener and fiber one 80 cal cereal. 110 cal.
two slices 45 or 40 cal bread with Turkey breast, tomato, kraft fat free mayo. 150-160 cal.
two slices 45 or 40 cal bread with two tbsp pb2 & 1 tbsp smuckers sugar free jelly. 135-145 cal.
Pickles are a great go-to zero calorie food when I crave something salty. That or 100 calorie microwave popcorn. If you make it in an air popper, though, and only spray a little I Can't Believe It's Not Butter on it then its even less (depending on serving size of course). You can add a little salt too, or No-Salt (Potassium Chloride) if you're watching sodium its a great alternative.
Also love the zero sugar/zero calorie energy drinks from Monster or Rockstar. Gets me through the day if my energy wanes. The V8 flavored green tea energy drinks are good too and 50 calories if you only need a little boost.
Jennie-O makes a ground turkey that is like 97% fat free. Less calories and fat than ground beef but still high in protein.
Turkey bacon is like 25 calories per slice that you can pair with egg whites (also about 25 calories per serving).
Hebrew National makes a hot dog that is like 98% fat free and only 45 calories each (versus like 200 for regular hot dogs dripping in saturated fat.. blegh).
And finally, one of my favorite desserts when I need something sweet is fresh strawberries sprinkled with Truvia (zero calorie sweetener) and it is delish!
i go to subway and get a 6 inch veggie delight with all veggies, no cheese and yellow mustard
it's 230 calories but it's really filling and normal looking lol
Bare naked noodles? 16 cals a pack but I can get 2/3 sevings from it with raw shaved courgettes <3 and a stock cube about 30 cals altogether!
shredded crab sticks kani kama like pasta its like: 40 cals crab+20cals lettuce= 60 cals of a full plate
I love low cal bread (35 cal per slice!) with apple butter on top. (30 cal for 2 TBSP). I usually like to eat all of my food in one meal so I like to side it with either no fat plain Greek yogurt (tastes like heaven if you add sweetener and cinnamon) or plain oatmeal with, again, sweetener and cinnamon.
salads, for obvious reasons! lots of veggies
wraps. get a good brand of low cal tortillas, and maybe a spread you like (salsa has always been my favorite)
rice (mix it with lots of veggies for a stir fry)
Salad wraps. What's great about tortillas and pitas, is no one can really see what you've stuffed in there. So use it like a hidey-hole and just fill with vegetables.
I do meat and veggie dishes that are mostly veggies. Like string bean chicken and beef with broccoli. It sounds like a "real" meal but I mostly only serve myself the vegetable part!
Make a huge Asian like bean sprout "stir fry" (I just cook it with water) and season it up as you want, you can add a few shrimp and they're only 7 cals each
Sauerkraut! You can eat a ton and it's super low cal
A big salad with a fewwww grilled chicken strips
If you don't fear carbs, there's a few breads that are 45 cals a slice, you could make a veggie sandwich with a couple of slices and it'd only be a lil over 100 cals
Tuna salad. More veggies than tuna, skip the mayo. Even saltines are not terribly high cal.
Believe it or not, a baked potato.  This is one of my fav dinners: a large baked potato with salsa and guacamole and a big salad.  Most people (no doubt your mum as well) know to look past salad because it has next to no calories, even by the bucketful.
But potatoes are considered indulgent foods.  Turns out tho, it is all the crap people put on them (sour cream, bacon bits, CHILI for gods sake!) or cook them in (think french fries or crisps) that is bad.  You can top a potato with salsa (lots) and guac (a little but positioned to look as big as possible) and, when paired with a salad, looks like a giant plate of food.  If you start to feel like you are over-ful (a real possibility with this meal) you can skip eating the potato skin, which most people leave off anyways so it won't look suspicious.
Aubergine or courgette boats! Stuff with mushrooms/spinach/chickpeas/Quorn mince or whatever, top with some bread crumbs and/or cheese.
This is the best thing for anyone!
400g cauliflower with some water in a blender - blend till Mashed potato consistency, it makes soooo much! About half a large plate piled! And only 100 calories, then you can add whatever you like since you have so many cals left over. And simply adding rosemary and pepper is delicious!
If you want it to look more like a dinner meal add something like
Chicken thigh - 200
Salmon - 255
Hoki Fish - 175
Stuffed mushrooms
4 medium size or 2 HUGE portobello mushrooms (would be in the 250-300g region, so 30-40 cals)
Bake in the oven for 15 mins.
Top with 1/2 can of lentils (113) mixed with 3 laughing cow triangles (105 or 75 if using the light version) (you could also use another soft cheese). Add in herbs and spices (garlic is great with this) and bake for another 10-15 mins. You could even add a bit of proper grated cheddar or mozzarella as well to make it seem even more high calorie. Wouldn't be more than 300 even with the addition of full-fat cheese.
Grated cauliflower looks like rice with a lot less cals.
Soups with a ton of broth.
