You get once more involved in a rather boring conversation that you have to pretend to like before someone catches your eyes. Excusing yourself, you hurriedly walked through the crowd to the special someone you just noticed, a sincere smile on your face and sparkles in your eyes.

“But I couldn’t miss my fiancée’s birthday, could I ? Your dad would’ve been mad.”

“So would I, Mister. Are you even thinking about me ?” you teased before taking his hand in yours. Now, it was like everything was in place to spend the night you were hoping for.

“More than you think.” he whispered as he started to guide you through the crowd once again.

You two talked with so many people, drank so many drinks that you lost count of how many dances you did or how many partners you had between your friends, siblings and guests. All you could feel with the blessing sensation of being as light as a feather. The music takes you to another world, allowing you to be silly one last time, laughing around with your friends and siblings under the persistent yet loving eyes of your future husband. You played dumb when your eyes met and always sent him a huge smile, but you were just as observant as he was and knew exactly when to come to his rescue.

That’s how you stumble to him, playing a little more drunk than you actually were and take his hand even though he was caught up in a seemingly boring conversation.

“Dance with one with me, would you ? Can I steal him from you ?” speaking quickly to both of them, your eyes fell on the medals on the other man’s jacket before smiling to ease him. Military men are hard to deal with.

“I can’t decline anything the princess says, can I ? Especially tonight ; he’s all yours !” You smiled at him as a thank you and just like that, Sae was being dragged away on the dance floor, shaking his head in disbelief. Taking his hands in yours, you two waited for the new song to start and moved along with it when it did.

“You don’t have to thank me.” you teased again but he didn’t answer this time, knowing he didn’t have to. You were already too caught up in the dance, swinging around in this magical waltz as if this was your last night – which felt like it to you. You were getting married in three months, everything was already set and you wouldn't see your siblings or friends often anymore. It felt like the last time you would be able to enjoy yourself that freely and he knew it. That’s why he came, so you wouldn’t have only boring memories with him. To see you smile and have dances like those with you, hearing your laughter was all he asked for tonight.

But the music slowed down and soon, you got closer. He’s not making you spin anymore, you don’t try to make him spin when he doesn’t want to either, and your laughter calmed down. Only a satisfied, tipsy smile remained. Your footsteps synchronized together at a lower pace. Everything seems quiet suddenly, you could only hear your heartbeat and feel Sae’s hands on you. The music and people’s voices fade out, leaving you and Sae in a bubble. You chuckled at the safety filling your body. It was indeed a great night.

“Thank you for coming.” you said out of nowhere, not even looking at him but laying your head against his shoulder. Your heart racing in your rib cage, probably beating hard enough for him to hear it but you didn’t mind. You two will soon be even more intimate. He will feel your heartbeat more than once.

“Don’t thank me for that. Happy birthday, my dear.” he answered quietly, close to your ear before kissing your temple. A nervous laughter left your lips before you bite it down.

You never thought he would be like that, he seems like a distant man when deep down he can’t keep this facade up. Not that you mind. That’s why you fell for him.

Given that Blue Lock is an in-universe reality show with (apparently) millions of worldwide fans, that implies the theoretical existence of a Blue Lock fandom and, by extension, Blue Lock fanfic.

What kind of mischaracterisations do you think in-universe fans have of the various members of Blue Lock? Which ships would be popular? This is an rpf situation so what sort of drama goes on surrounding the very existence of bllk fanfic? Does the fandom have pockets which behave like other rpf fandoms such as Kpop and streamers? How much does Reddit fucking hate the stans? I NEED ANSWERS!!!!!

Firstly, the fandoms tagged in fics would be a mix of: Football RPF — all media types, Blue Lock (Football RPF), Neo Egoist League (Football RPF) and BLTV (Football RPF).

Common fandom-specific tags include: ‘Referenced Professional Footballers’, ‘No Beta We Die Like Kunigami Rensuke’s Ratings’, ‘Not Safe For Ego Jinpachi’s eyes’ and ‘Author Uses Football Not Soccer’.

Platonic relationships are pretty common in the fandom, with the most popular ones being ‘Michael Kaiser & Alexis Ness’, ‘Meguru Bachira & Lavinho’, ‘Yoichi Isagi & Noel Noa’ and ‘Yoichi Isagi & Rensuke Kunigami’.

Personally I think the most popular ships (as of right now) would be Kaisagi, Kainess, Reonagi and Ryurin. Bachisagi would be practically nonexistent because fans wouldn’t have seen them interact much. Only old fans know they were basically unstoppable together during the U-20 match. Most fans joined during the NEL, after the show started streaming.

Noel Noa gets shipped with Lavinho but only because he’s always the dad in fics who needs emotional support. In these fics, Isagi and Bachira are always the gremlin step brothers who scheme their not-dads into getting together.

There’s a ship war going on between the kaisagi and the kainess shippers. There’s also a third party which is against real-person shipping but is fine with rpf in general so Bastard Munchen for them is a hodge-podge, falling apart at the seams found family trope. The same goes for all the other teams but the Bastard Family TM is the most popular one.

THERE ARE SO MANY FOUND FAMILY AUs. Popular tags include: “Noel Noa Is A Tired Dad”, “Isagi And Kunigami Are Brothers”, “Kaiser Is The Rich Cousin” and “They’re A Family Of Bastards Your Honour”.

There’s definitely fandom drama around the ethics of reading and writing fanfic. General consensus seems to end up being that non-ship fics are technically fine. Shippers still do their thing though because they’re impossible to get rid of.

The fandom ‘cinnamon rolls’ are definitely Bachira and Ness. Ness especially get mischaracterised as an ‘innocent, fragile flower’ that Kaiser has to protect. Bachira is most;y just characterised as Lavinho’s protege who is a happy lil sunshine with no flaws. Nagi also nearly falls into the ‘cinnamon roll’ category because he’s quiet and gives off ‘uwu’ energy (according to his stans) but slightly less so.

Rin gets the most x readers written about him. He beats everyone else except maybe Kunigami, who is a close second. They’re always characterised as the ‘bad boys’ and are the kings of Wattpad.

Sae gets inserted into Rin fics all the time purely because they’re brothers. Because he doesn’t appear in the NEL, his fandom interpretation is COMPLETELY off. Fans have basically turned him into a completely new, fictional character, he’s that different. He’s always dating Shidou though — Ryusae is a rare ‘it’s probably okay to ship this’ ship because literally everyone is convinced they’re actually dating irl.

If Kaiser is in the fic, his tattoo is usually brought up either as some kind of trauma-related thing or, in fantasy AUs, as a cursed mark. Fans have written whole ass essays about the symbolic meaning of his tattoo and how it can relate to fics.

Some of the more popular fics in the fandom, by kudos, include:

the obligatory fantasy AU where all the teams are kingdoms — 240k words, major character death, hurt no comfort (one of the fandom’s ‘cinnamon rolls’ dies in the third act).

the obligatory university/college AU where for some reason the university uses the US system despite none of the characters being American, each team is a different frat house and the fic is 25/? chapters, 32k words.

A Fluff And Angst, completely unrealistic found family “they all live in one house” fic where Noa adopts Isagi and it’s tooth-rottingly sweet but it’s clear that the author has been through some shit and is drawing from personal experience when writing. All the kids from Blue Lock and Bastard Munchen are like 10 years old. Noa is shipped with Lavinho and people choose to either ignore it and enjoy the fluff or are active shippers — 56k words, 19/22 chapters, hurt/comfort, implied/referenced child abuse, Noel Noa Is A Tired Dad.

Several one-shots involving the ‘brothers/cousins’ Isagi, Kunigami, Kaiser and Ness all doing random shit together. Usually the fics are either from Isagi or Kaiser’s perspective and you can tell which authors prefer the Blue Lockers and which ones prefer the German players — usually 3-6k words each.

A long-distance relationship Kaisagi AU named after a Glass Animals song that gets so popular it crashes AO3 twice- (sry I’ll stop, that would be rancid).

A Manshine City found family AU where Reo and Nagi are characterised as brothers to the nth degree, Chigiri is the golden child and Chris Prince is the uncle who didn’t want to take them in but had to and slowly grows to love them as if they were his own kids. The grown-up mentors all have weekly brunch down at the local diner where they talk like gossiping aunts — 19k words, 5/? chapters, Manshine Triplets, Reo And Nagi Are Twins, Chigiri is also there tho!!! Give Chris Prince A Break.

The aforementioned AU where Bachira and Isagi trick their not-dads into getting together — 16k words, 4/10 chapters, Fluff And Angst, Slow Burn.

tldr: dooby is failing at creating a bllk visual novel

honestly if all else fails at creating a functioning game I will just write out their “story routes” myself LMAOO

The plot is very heavily inspired by that Korean drama “Scarlet Heart” where reader will die but then get “reincarnated”/transported 1000 years in the past.

The plot and world building is still kinda under developed but eventually I want it to feature like … idk politics, different fantasy classes, etc.

We have Barou and Isagi who work together as scouting knights outside of the kingdom’s walls. Their main jobs is to make sure that the boarders are safe and intact from any monsters/criminals. They both work under Emperor Sae (honestly still working on his backstory) but Rin will be the sorta… unwanted child in this AU? His trope is “Duke of the North” … which you kinda already know that this whole plot will eventually become a mini civil war/territory control over who actually deserves the title of “Emperor”…

While we have politics in this AU, we also have monsters and sacred land. I have Nagi in here as sort of a forest guardian? Hmm I will come up with a better description but he over sees his land and kinda watches over (in secret of course) you when you first spawn into the world.

Your main goal is to get back to the present day but you eventually get dragged and have to prevent the war / or join a “winning” side to get out alive.

And of course I’m gonna make sure that the Itoshi siblings will have like 99 bad endings and only one “true” ending because where’s the fun in that…

I should elaborate on that new au, huh? It's my like 3rd medieval and/or fantasy au. So. Let's talk about it

So, it's more medieval than fantasy. Takes place in the kingdom of uh, insert name. People have been born there with magic for centuries, about every 1 in 7 has the potential for magic. All magic is cast by verbal spells too

Anyways. A few years back, a new King took the throne, and started a mad "witch" hunt for magic users, claiming a conspiracy that killed the last king, placing blame primarily on the former advisor, and the rest of the library staff. His son becomes crown prince, and people born with magic are no longer common, they're hidden or imprisoned

Psst. Hey. Shido killed the king and blamed magic cause he had his magic son do it. Shocker, if you know the plot of P5, I know

Anyways people keep dying via magic, and the King blames people who get in his way. One of which is a teen named Akira, new to the land from a smaller farm town within the kingdom. Rather than be captured he loses the knights in the dense forest nearby and comes across a cabin

He's assumed dead, but instead he's taken in by a magic talking cat who wants to get back at the king, claiming he had him turned to a cat. So, with a mask and cloak, he returns to the city and reveals the truth bit by bit

Gradually he's joined by other teammates! Like Ryuji, a young delivery boy framed alongside his best friend, a dancer named Ann. They help bring the first perpetrator to light, a Castle Perimeter Guard named Kamoshida

Then, an artist named Yusuke. His own mentor threw him under the bus, also claiming the portraits Yusuke painted were his own to spit on the salty wound or whatever. So Yusuke joins in, having inherited magic from his mother

Then, Yusuke reveals his mother was one of the staff framed for the death of the former King, Igor. His mother, the chief advisor Wakaba, and the archivist were all executed publicly, and Yusuke suggests they try to find their children before they too are framed

In the time it takes them to find the name of the Archivist and try to track down one of her two daughters, one is already being framed.

Surprise it's Makoto! Sae doesn't have magic, and is Shido's advisor, having passed a test where she read a basic spell. It was believed that the younger sister didn't have magic since typically the eldest inherited it, so she was allowed to work as a royal guard

Specifically the Lady engaged to the Prince, daughter of Duke Okumura.

Makoto reveals her magic to others in a tense moment where she saves the Lady, and runs that night, before she can be caught. She runs into the Phantoms by chance, and agrees to help them retrieve her mother's hidden spell books from within the castle library, and search for the daughter of the old advisor

That's Futaba. She's been hiding in the walls of the castle, and has been wanted or assumed dead the whole time. They stumble upon her when they enter the secret addition to the library and find just. A hermit room

Futaba: ...Uhm. boo?

They get her out of there and into their forest hut and try to work out their plan to take down the king when the castle erupts into minor chaos. Duke Okumura tries to convince everyone that the King is responsible for all those deaths, trying for the throne, only to have him and his daughter brought before council for a traitor's magic test

He passes. When Haru utters the phrase, they're all surprised when her palms grow damp, and water slowly sprouts to soak the floor. The deaths her father tried to pin on the King, that he ordered, are pinned on his daughter (and himself)

The Phantoms arrive to break her out the night before she's due for execution, and she joins their final plans to take down the king.

They have to go through the Prince, and watch as the King finishes him off himself. Then they take him down, and once Shido is dead, Morgana returns to his human form, that of the missing son of the last king, Igor

So. He's king.

Anyways ships for this would be akeshu (not endgame. Since. Goro fucking dies.), RyuKita, ShihoAnn, and my go to, the ever amazing, Okujima.
