Well someone got out of the wrong side of the recuperacoon this morning.

Granted, he is talking about Vriska, so that's a pretty fair description. My guess is that he was the one commissioning doomsday devices from her. She might not even be ignoring him on purpose - after all, she's got a lot on her plate today.

Sounds like it was CA's use of the term crush which prompted this reaction. Apparently it's 'paler', which I think means that Kanaya's feelings for Vriska are less intense than a crush.

We know moirallegiance is romance, but maybe the romantic feelings involved aren't as strong as with a 'typical' relationship.

Alright, I’m honestly starting to drown in all this lingo, but it’s still a damn fun puzzle to solve.

Auspisticing is yet another variety of troll relationship - and it sounds like it's centered around interference. Specifically, it involves interfering with troll 'grudges', so I think it's another negative, blackrom relationship.

So, auspisticing is when a single individual approaches two feuding trolls, and interferes in their relationship. This is something that the feuding trolls want, so the interference carries some sort of benefit.

CA wants Vriska to stop giving him the cold shoulder, and he thinks Kanaya's auspisticing would be able to help with that. It sounds like what he's looking for is mediation.

GA: Is Your Lusus Dead Yet You then proceed to have the rest of this conversation we already read, bugging and fussing and meddling through the special and magical union one can only describe as being in moirallegiance with another. At least, you guess that's how you would describe it. Maybe.

It seems it’s quite hard to recognize feelings of moirallegiance. Mind you, it can be quite hard to recognize more typical romantic feelings, too - especially for a teenager.

We’ve already seen Kanaya’s conversation with Vriska, and this part of it mirrors CC’s own words. They both express the same sentiment here, so I think this is the core of what a moirallegiance is supposed to be.

I think, at this point, we can make a few inferences.

A moirallegiance is an observational relationship, where one party ‘keeps an eye’ on another. It’s apparently supposed to be helpful to the observee, so maybe Kanaya’s goal is to prevent Vriska from being a danger to herself, and, presumably, to others. Honestly, it kind of sounds like Kanaya is Vriska’s parole officer.

However, it doesn’t seem to be an adversarial relationship. Kanaya explicitly will not act against Vriska, and that doesn’t seem to conflict with her role as a moirail, so she’s not expected to sabotage or otherwise prevent Vriska’s dangerous actions - she’s strictly hands-off.

It doesn’t seem to be a very formal relationship. Kanaya doesn’t know if she’s Vriska’s moirail, so she clearly hasn’t discussed things with Vriska herself - and the implication seems to be that you can be in a moirallegiance without even realizing it.

Pinch of salt here - these are emotionally immature teenagers. Maybe if these were adult trolls, they’d be expected to talk about their moirallegiance directly - but because Kanaya is a child, she just dances around the topic.

Troll romance sure is confusing!
