aLSO all DC muses being added/are already here, which i’m posting bc i don’t have bios posted for all of them so this is a quick rundown. as generally known, the main plotline of this blog is one big universe, but ofc, there are basis for these characters personality traits. And the main verse that is this blog’s verse has a mix of S/nyder and R/eeves, we don’t accept hate to either here. Also technically J/oker 2019. minor comic and other influences but i take what fits into the main world as my wild colorful brain views it (and yes, as an autistic, I view things differently than the non auts who call me names or choose to insult me-- too bad so sad for u tho i’m friends w the block button) 

(obvious content warnings considering the fandom, a lot of these ppl are murderers, one of them considers consent 'optional' canonically, even in her 'good person' phase. some of these people are serial killers. gordon's chill but he's also a cop so that defaultly makes him not great when, like me, you're not white. he's not white either tho, and is trying to fix the issue from the inside, but it's still not a great career. if anyone knows anything abt pamela's backstory, i'm not mentioning it here, but that girl's been through it okay.)

B/rucey Wayne, obvs E/d Nashton, unfortunately, tho he’s technically an NPC/by request H/arvey D/ent, with a different take primarily based on T/elltale, where yknow, he becomes evil whether he’s mutilated or not. stop being gross DC if T/elltale a company owned by gross ppl can do it so can you. H/arley Q/uinn, who’s been here, she’s not an original take she’s based off her og solo run but ppl think ‘oh she’s mean’ means original take when thats LITERALLY WHO SHE WAS BEFORE THEY WATERED HER DOWN TO HEROFY HER I dont accept that arc here. but i'm also not including all the canonical times she's forced consent on others, aka pushing J/oker into sex, breaking into floyd's house and laying naked in his bed and bullying him until he agrees to have sex, pushing ivy into physical contact until ivy agrees no matter how many times they say no. yeah. none of that happens here. but i do recognize it happens in canon, even if the fandom refuses to. al/exis k/aye, aka p/unchline, also a mostly original storyline not entirely following the comics, but idk i think she’s neat du/ella d/ent, aka h/arvey’s bio daughter who he was so disappointed wasn’t twins he chose to ignore entirely, bc even tho i love harv/ey he is a terrible dad. case in point, his daughter’s obsession w villains and calling herself their daughters (she’s been j/okers daughter, ri/ddler’s daughter, etc, her coping mechanism is a piece of work). pre her taking that route tho, but she is presently obsessed with E/dward post TB2022.  floyd la/wton, aka d/eadshot, based on older comics, with hints of ss2016 but not a lot, deffo inspo from jltas and games tho. i will never write fl/oyd x h/arley please never ask me, she literally wouldn’t leave him alone and broke into his house and sat naked in his bed until he’d have sex w her in canon. we’re not doing that here. keep that away from me.  s/ofia f/alcone, carmine’s legitimate daughter and therefore selina’s half sister. inheritor of carmine’s entire criminal bs, but because she wasn’t a player at the time, now has to become a player in the war for head of gotham crime.  jane mo/riarty, technically started as an original interpretation of a moriarty sibling from s/herlock h/olmes, but i plotted and developed a DC plot relating to her in the TB2022 universe, so she’s here now. university professor by day, weaving the web of gotham’s underground criminal schemes by night.  J/ames G/ordon, currently a detective in go/tham, not yet commissioner, trusts batsy entirely but doesn’t let the team know about his affiliation with him. uncle to and eventually adopted father of his niece, b/arbara g/ordon, when his brother and sister in law die in a car crash. 

P/amela I/sley, who is mostly based between older comics (including her runs in the SS) and A/rkhamverse, NOT watering her down the way the comics and shows did to just turn her into ‘har/ley’s girlfriend’ nor will i pretend the canonical interpretation of their ship is somehow healthy when they’ve beaten the shit out of and mentally abused each other to no end. in general if you want a healthy ship, don’t look towards h/arley, and i/vy deserves better, but all in all I am not watering them down for the sake of romance. they’re villains. we can write them as healthily as we can plot if you want, but pamela deserves better than what the comics and that show have done for her. and the fandom as a whole tbh, which is why i love the interpretations i follow over canon 99% of the time. and if you wanna plot/write w any of them lmk and hit me up w a plot if u have one, or if you wanna try and get to a comic point or game point or anything, it can be discussed, but i will not jump into ships w pamela, alexis, or ivy. everyone else is a case by case basis.

sixty years ago, a woman at the age of twenty-one has an idea, and the black organisation was then born. young and fledging it had been, but over the years it grew fiercely -- fiercely enough to catch the attention of some truly dangerous people, and the woman had almost been discovered. in order to throw them off of her trail and to keep the organisation safe, the woman swallowed a pill and turned into a child, who was then adopted by the couple of m//ōri k//ogorō and k//isaki e//ri, and m//ōri r//an was born. 

she grew up with k//udō s//hinichi and s//uzuki sonoko as her best friends, and while she tolerated sonoko, she found herself fascinated by the intellect shinichi wielded, and she would throw small, untraceable mysteries in his direction to see if he could solve the case, which he normally could. so, she remained by his side as his loveable j//ohn w//atson to his s//herlock h//olmes. 

when ran found out that gin attempted to kill shinichi, she was furious, and it was only due to his good work in the past that ran didn’t kill gin. however, when ran saw conan, she knew exactly what had happened to him, and so she decided to just... wait and see how the detective would fair up against the beautiful pearl of an organisation she made, and if he would ever figure out just who his m//oriarty is.

in this verse, ran is NOT romantically interested in shinichi. ran is actually way way way older than shinichi ( she’s in her... sixties? seventies? ), and she’s more interested in his mind and intellect rather than him as a person. 

vermouth is the only member of the b.org that knows that ran is ano kata. everyone else HAS NO CLUE. ran is still leading the b.org despite her “age” since the majority of the members have never seen what she looks like face to face. she also doesn’t give off the “scent” of being a b.org member because she’s lived as m//ōri r//an for a long number of years. 

ran deaged due to an early version of the APTX, which was made for that reason. after shiho got a hold of it, it became a poison. 

the reason why everyone who is, to ran, clearly against the b.org isn’t dead is because ran wants to see how shinichi would use the tools at his disposal to find her and the b.org. she doesn’t want to make it impossible for him, but she’ll impede him sometimes ( not through killing but through taking care of conan ) just to see his mind at work.

Summary - D.I. Lestrade has caught the worst cold in a long time but he’s stuck working a new lead in the case thanks to Sherlock. Mycroft stops by and fusses. As per usual. 🥰

The winter rain hammered the pavement all over London, icy winter chill freezing people to the bones. Most people were inside their warm homes at this time of night, but Detective Inspector Lestrade was out near a construction site.

Sherlock had informed him earlier that they needed to go to the site immediately and search for the discarded backpack that would lock up the suspects for good - nasty fellas involved in a brutal child murder.

Greg wasn’t sure how Sherlock always managed to do it, but he hadn’t been wrong yet. This time he was on about the way the suspect wore his belt. Had to give away that he worked construction in the side.

The consulting detective and his partner were standing under two umbrellas, Sherlock barking orders at the dog team. Greg was without umbrella, soaked to his shoes.

“HURRRDSH!!”

He snapped forward, water droplets flying off the soggy whisps of hair.

Sherlock shot him a glare that said ‘you’re interrupting my thinking’.

“Bless you.” John offered before turning back to face the scene with sherlock.

With Mycroft away on business this week, no one was around to tell him to get some rest. The DI had been working late nights at Scotland Yard every day this week, running himself ragged. By Wednesday he’d already started coming down with one hell of a cold. Donovan and Anderson avoiding him by Thursday.

The silver haired man used a wet hand to try and wipe the rain out of his eyes - an effort that was futile. He pulled an already damp tissue from his pocket and coughed harshly into it.

The cough sounded worse than it was - two decades of smoking seemed to have that effect on Greg whenever he fell ill.

“You’ll catch your death out here, Gregory.”

The man in question turned around and was met with none other than the British government himself holding an umbrella over them both.

“ii’GSHHH! Heh’RRRDSHUH!”

Mycroft huffed a sigh, always startled by how loud his partner could be.

“I thi’gk I already have…” Greg mumbled from behind the tissue. He blew his nose, practically turning it to confetti.

“For heavens sake Gregory, do throw that useless napkin away.” The younger man removed a clean and pressed handkerchief from his suit’s breast pocket and handed it to the detective who was already putting it to good use.

“H’eTCHiew!”

“Bless.” Mycroft pursed his lips as he strode over to Sherlock and John.

“Ah, brother. You’ve gained weight.” Sherlock quipped.

Mycroft rolled his eyes, “Could you perhaps hurry this up, brother dear. Detective Inspector Lestrade is unwell.”

“What Grant?”

“You know his name, Sherlock.”

The younger of the Holmes’ brothers shouted at the crime scene investigators who were digging in ponchos.

“Not there you idiots. Your other left!! For Christ’s sake Anderson, didn’t anyone teach you directions?? THERE!”

Right where sherlock pointed, someone hit something solid. After a couple people joined in the digging, it was unearthed as a backpack. THE backpack needed to crack the case.

“Detective, I think you’ll find the backpack was exactly where I’d thought. Inside you’ll found damning evidence that the banker did it all along for the insurance claim. We’ll be on our way now.”

Sherlock turned on his heels, John apologizing but following after him.

“Is that enough to get you home and into some dry clothes then?” Mycroft asked. “Anthea has the car ready to go.”

“Erm… let me make sure Donovan can handle this before I just snfff leave them…”

Mycroft made a note of his partner’s growing congestion. He’d prepare the humidifier later that night.

A few moments later, Greg was trotting back over through the rain.

“Alright, she’s got it. Don’t suppose the British government can summon me a towel?” He teased.

The window of the car rolled down and Anthea handed one over. It was warm as if it had just come out of the dryer.

“How did you-? Nevermind…”

“Don’t mumble, Gregory.” Mycroft ushered him into the back of the car. “Let’s tend to that cold of yours, shall we?”

QUICK BIO / STORY CHANGE:

ORIGINAL:   sebastian worked for jim for multiple years until accidentally killing him in what he perceived was an act of self defense. he turns himself into authorities, trades a shitton of information and data m/oriarty had in exchange for his freedom, and moves to nyc to become a professor.

BETTER IDEA:   THIS IS MY NEW MAIN VERSE.  adheres more to the canon plots and events acd wrote in his numerous short stories. in THE FINAL PROBLEM, m/oriarty and s/herlock h/olmes engage in mortal combat and fall to their deaths over the r/eichenbach falls ( we discover h/olmes survives in the empty house ). with his boss dead, sebastian does the same as above                    hands over all crucial information to authorities in a bargaining deal that allows him to live a quiet life away from crime. still moves to nyc to become a professor.

NEW ALTERNATE UNIVERSE OPTION:   after THE FINAL PROBLEM, seeking revenge for m/oriarty’s death, sebastian takes his place and hurries to control the napoleon of crime’s web of contacts and information. he becomes THE most dangerous man in london, and actively pours all of his resources into trying to kill h/olmes. basically sebastian ascending to true bad guy status.

It has been a great experience in the UK. Apart from being able to live and train here for a bit, I got to enjoy myself by catching a play at S*hakespeare’s Globe, visiting The S*herlock H*olmes Museum, and touring The H*arry P*otter Studio. Not Soldiers Today

I’ve been thinking about the things we aren’t permitted to see.

What we learned in The Final Problem is that there is another Sherlock his harsh exterior has been protecting. Sherlock is most definitely not a high-functioning sociopath. He’s a deeply emotional, loving man who needs companionship and affection.

We see the secret Sherlock a couple of times in series 4: at the end of The Lying Detective when he holds John and tells him what he needs to hear (”Even you”), and, fleetingly, with John and Rosie in a snippet of a scene that can only be described as their happiest moment on record. Sherlock is so happy he looks out of character. We have never seen John grin like that before. 

But we don’t really get to see Sherlock and John behind closed doors again. And I’ve been thinking that. 

Sherlock has a secret self that is different than the persona he has been cultivating. How weird would it be to drop a mask like that? He can’t drop it entirely, can he? Certainly not while he’s solving crimes. That is who Sherlock is now. he can be gentler and kinder, but he’s still Sherlock. He’s still got to be that person.

The hat goes on and he becomes Sherlock Holmes for the world, the logic machine, the famous consulting detective, but at home, when the door is shut, does the secret Sherlock emerge? In The Final Problem,John says they are “soldiers today”. John is aware that they both put on a guise in public; Sherlock is the calculating genius, John is the hero. But there is a time when they stop being soldiers.

Maybe no one gets to see the secret part of Sherlock. Not the clients, not the police, not even us. But John has seen it. John knows that secret Sherlock well. Maybe only he ever will.

There has always been a Sherlock for the outside world, but finally Sherlock has an inside world in which he is not alone.

So... I’ve been thinking a lot about these panels in the Detective Koshien where Heiji compares Shinichi and Hakuba and I actually came up with a list of possible (HC) similarities (because I totally don’t have more important stuff to do)

-Holmes.

-The sassy&salty team. -Talk a lot about stuff no one really cares about. -Dinkleberg KID. -Would definitely fight you over grammar. -Dramatic speeches and poses. -There's probably always someone who eyerolls when they speak. -"I'm surrounded by idiots". -Sherlock Holmes references. -Are Holmes references themselves (e.g. Shinichi was born the day of Reichenbach Fall (May 4th) // S.H (Saguru Hakuba) = S.H (Sherlock Holmes)) -There’s a high possibility that they said "Twilight isn't literature!" at some point. -The Tea and Coffee combo. -Pretty detectives. -Lowkey jerks. -someone: Holmes isn't THAT great them: Okay I'm gonna stop u right there
