Well, I am to assume you all chose Weiss. However, you were wrong. Well except one (@epic-arc). This is Winter Soldier (Jaune x Winter).
Now I get why some people might be against WhiteKnight as a canon ship. Mainly due to Jaune's age and me personally, Weiss only started liking him because he was the Rusted Knight. I could be wrong considering Jaune saved her life on multiple occasions. Not only that they went to a movie together. But it was primarily due to Weiss avoiding Yang and Blake. So useless those two talk more often, then I'll believe it to be true. However, though I view this ship will never happen I like it mainly
1. Winter doesn't know Jaune. So if she takes the time to know him and establishes her feelings towards him, she might like him.
2. Penny. Both were greatly affected by Penny's death. Winter case she failed to save Weiss, Penny, and Jaune. And if Jaune were to tell her what happened to him, she would be hurt. However, Jaune tells her to not worry about it. In fact, he supports her emotionally by telling her it's okay and wasn't her fault.
3. Jaune and Winter both want to protect what's precious to them.
4. Winter is better than Weiss. Not just age-wise but personality.
My opinion though so... ... yeah.
