I love seeing a project come to fruition. 🎧 . Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on a commissioned poem for @raggededgeproductions, inspired by conversations with & between residents of Ewanrigg estate in Maryport. . This poem was then recorded by local climbing legend Bomber Thompson, and interspersed between a programme of audio of music & conversation by the wonderful Stefan Escreet - to create an Audio Adventure, which wound around the streets of Ewanrigg, while members of the community created visual performances along the route. . The project was loads of fun to be a part of, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone when the performance goes online in the near future! . I want the viewer to think about not only the native animals affected by the fire but also our domesticated animals. The pieces I've chosen for the show reflect this. The Sky. “paint on anything” “see what gravity does” follow and enjoy, manipulate, wait, and be delighted. Remember to eat, to drink, acknowledge time passing peacefully, allow your consciousness to drift, be what only you can be, in this moment. Find something to appreciate about yellow. Make it. Artist in Residence at The Leitrim Sculpture Centre

I am excited to be one of the five exhibition residencies of 2019 at the Leitrim Sculpture Centre, Manorhamilton, Ireland, in association with the Arts Council. The centre is a national resource for advancing the practice and knowledge of visual art making and its creative and critical engagement with the ecologies of landscape, place and the rural. Functioning as a laboratory for creativity and innovation LSC encourages experimentation in the material productions and display of compelling and challenging new work and in the wider public acquisition of traditional and contemporary skills and knowledge across all media. I am really looking forward to engaging with their support and facilities as well as expanding my work in areas of social engagement, rural arts and the environment.
