i needed the s1 victor and rufus smackdown to be 10x longer than it was. we needed to see those two old farts beat the shit out of each other in front of a live audience
If you think about it, technically Rufus did his job as the Osirian in the season two finale. When he took the mask from Nina he protected the Chosen One from going to the afterlife, and with Senkarah following the mask he also sent the evil being harming/threatening the Paragon to the (probably technically not hell) bad afterlife.
sometimes i wonder how mr. sweet KNEW that eddie was the osirian. like did a strange mist enter the room when he was born, was there a big flash of light, or could he Sense the ancient spirit of the osirian entering his child,, idek atp i need answers
part of me wonders if it has to do with birthdays, like being the chosen one does. cause we know rufus’s birthday from that one s1 ep, 12/21/15, and eddie’s bday is listed on the wiki as 11/19/94 (idk where that one came from but i’m gonna trust it) and i don’t see any correlation between the dates.
like seriously the idea that mr. sweet had a way of KNOWING who the osirian was but made the mistake of confusing 7 pm for the seventh hour of the day and getting the wrong chosen one is hilarious to me lmao
Patricia, staring at a piece of food that she was making for hours and now she dropped it on the floor: This is sadder than the time I was kidnapped by the psychomaniac and everyone thought I was crazy...
Eddie, choking on his drink: EXUSE ME WHAT-
I'm rewatching season one and Mrs. Andrews says that Rufus faked his death which allowed the Society to think he was dead. This means that Victor fell for the same trick of Rufus faking his death twice. Like I know we saw him blasted to hell... but like are we really sure he's gone?
I know that the Chosen One has to be from a very specific bloodline and such... but we don't know if that same thing applies to the Osirian. And I thought about this idea for like five seconds, but hear me out: I think it would be hilarious if the Osirian 'spirit' was sentient, in some capacity and it could choose who the Osirian was.
Like imagine: when Rufus started going power hungry, the Osirian spirit was like: "THIS ISN'T MY JOB??? I'M OUT!" and dipped.
And then on a random day, it sees a concussed american kid being escorted by two british kids, and the Osirian is like: " y'know what? this kid is going to be the one! " or maybe " The Chosen One is in danger and I don't have time to choose the perfect host! The concussed kid will do the job just fine!"
It's stupid and it doesn't make sense in canon whatsover, but i can't stop thinking about the idea that Eddie became the Osirian on a spirit's whim.
