Ezekiel: *acting like he's gonna punch James*
James: 😐
Ezekiel: *actually punches James (weakly)* ...can I do it harder?
James: don't ask me that you're genuinely turning me on

Out of everyone in Total Drama, who do you want to live with the most? It can be as many characters as you like that can live with you or be can be like a list thing.
Most- I think DJ, Raj, or Brick would make good roomies. They'd be clean. Know how to cook. Know how to spend time on their own and wouldn't bug me 24/7. But also have good personalities to be friends with. Lindsay just seems like she would be fun as fuck to be friends with. And she'd go out a lot so I can still have me time. Kitty for the same reasons.
Less Most- Tyler lowkey. I think he would be good at following directions/asks. Like if you ask him to clean the dishes, he would. Plus he's nice, and probably not super dirty/loud loud. Might sound insane(?) but Alejandro. Yes, he might have highish standards. But like bro can understands when you wanna be alone. And he'd be clean. Plus the after hang out gossip would go crazy. I think Eva would also be decent. ONLY BECAUSE I AM A GOOD ROOMMATE THAT KNOWS HOW TO CLEAN AND EXIST IN MY OWN SPACE (she would be horrible if you suck at adulting). So I feel like we'd get on good. Leshawna for the same reasons.
Least - I am not being roommates with Mike. Sorry. I would lose my mind. Giving tries his best but his best is god awful. Cameron too. I can't do the bubble shit. Outside of revenge: Ezekiel is sexist and a mommy's boy. Instant no. I am not doing all the chores because I am woman and its 'my birth right'. I don't want Cody hitting on all my friends. Bye. Katie and Sadie. They'd be loud and messy. Nice girls, but too much socializing for me personally. I need to be alone 5 hours of the day or ill go crazy. Blainley. Lord. The messiest bitch alive. We can be friends but you are not stealing my shit and then lying about it. (she would.)

some diego facts for you on this fine saturday:
full name is diego beck
yes i made yet another oc with a green aesthetic, bite me
accounting grad from atlanta, very logical and numbers orientated in general and incredibly quick with his mind. also has a gnack for inventory management and taxes (one of these things was more valuable than the other ahsdjfad)
glenn’s roomate in atlanta! they studied together at the same community college and have been roomies since they were 18. diego would sometimes drive glenn around on his pizza delivery shifts when he was bored because he likes the company. glenn spent many big occasions (christmas, etc) at the beck household when it was too expensive for him to fly back to michigan, and diego’s mum and extended family were always very welcoming (”by the grace of god glenn rhee you will eat this slice of pie and put some meat on those skinny little bones of yours!” [queue diego and his siblings cackling in the background as their mum all-but force feeds glenn every time he comes over]).
very talkative and sarcastic, and generally a pretty positive person to be around (at least he was before the world went to hell). tries to see the best in most situations, but also does become a lot more jaded and realistic as time goes by. clings to his hope like a life raft.
he and glenn had originally fled to diego’s family home on the outskirts of atlanta when things initially went to shit, but the house had already been overrun. diego, never having held a gun or weapon of any kind, had to watch as glenn put a bullet between his little sister’s eyes. not long after, the pair were saved by t-dog.
is obviously very close with glenn and t-dog, but is also good friends with maggie, rosita and rick! carl thinks he’s super cool and looks up to him a lot. he and daryl start off in a bad place (re: his racist older brother), but grow to be good pals. diego thinks ezekiel is a total dude lol.
after glenn’s death, diego essentially attaches himself to maggie’s hip and refuses to leave her alone (”i love you like a sister mags, not to mention you’ve got my best friends kid in your belly, so yeah, you’re stuck with me.” 🥺). he has always been good with plants and gardening, so takes to living at hilltop really well, all things considered. also, jesus is there, which makes diego all 👀👉👈🥴

What I Read in 2022
Back in the past, I used to make shelf lists on my Instagram. That said, I wanted to elevate it a little bit and do an Episode wrapped for my Ko‑fi page! I will be linking the Instagrams to all of the creators below because I hope you check out these fantastic stories!
1. Black Magic by ER Gurney & Art by Sucre. This story is completed and in the fantasy genre. Your first semester at Wandsoworth's Academy of Wizardry is off to a flying start... until a rogue love potion has the most SEXY guy/girl there falling at your feet!
2. SWY: The Library Escape by Yoshi. This story is completed and in the mystery genre. Two people, one is popular and one is a loner with an attitude, stuck in a library locked at night. Will you escape in time? 4 possible endings, CC.
3. Stuck in a Nightmare by Tanji. This story is completed, with no wait and in the horror genre. In the world of Halidrea, you can visit other people's dreams. What will happen when you and your rival get stuck in someone else's nightmare?
M/F MC | Full CC | 4 Endings
4. College of Eternity by Sophookles. This story is currently being written in the fantasy genre. At the time of writing, 34 chapters are out. Your life gets turned upside down when you receive a mysterious letter from a magic academy. Will you make friends, find romance, and discover the truth and the school?
5. Slay by Lucas. This story is currently being written in the LGBTQ+ genre. At the time of writing, 8 chapters are out. The campus' LGBTQ+ club is caught in a murder scandal, that roomies Tim and Ezekiel intend to solve. They will find mystery, danger ... and maybe love?  CC/GAY ROMCOM MYSTERY
6. My Reaper by Sophookles & Lizard. This story is currently on hold and in the fantasy genre. This story currently has 13 chapters. You can't cheat death, can you? With your life at stake, will you be able to melt the cold heart of your mystery reaper or will you fall into oblivion? Full CC | LGBTQ+ | Art
Of course, I read more stories than this. That being said these were the ones that had me biting my nails and at the edge of my bed. Even spending gems on skip-the-wait or early access because I had to know what happened after the cliffhanger!
Also, please note! While none of these stories are in the romance genre, they all involve some form of romance.

Show Recommendations
Grimm
Platform: Amazon Prime
Official overview: Portland detective Nick Burkhardt, descended from a long line of warriors known as Grimms, defends his city from magical creatures known as Wesen, which are part human and part animal. Fighting alongside his partner, Hank, colleague Sergeant Wu and friends Monroe and Rosalee, Nick faces off against internal and external forces, including his police captain, Sean Renard.
My overview: Portland detective Nick Burkhardt thinks he's going insane when he randomly starts seeing monsters at the time his aunt goes into a coma. Turns out he's not, in fact, going crazy. He deals with shit trying to kill him and his girlfriend and friends CONSTANTLY and in reality all he wants to do his keep his city safe, and he accidentally saves the world in the process.
Thoughts on the show: I love it, it does have a habit of setting up for recurring characters and then never mentioning them again, so that's annoying. There are 6 seasons. There are some great romances in the show, and also some iffy ones, but the iffy ones are definitely regarded as such in the show, and eventually either develop past the weird stage or die before anymore harm can be done. Aired from 2011 to 2017
Thoughts on the fandom: Wayyyy too small, I know of 0 people around my age who like it, and 90% of the fan base is obsessed with Sasha Roiz who plays Sean Renard (not that I'm judging). Definitely not enough fics out there, and the ones that I've found seem to be poorly written or basically just pwp.
Warehouse 13
Platform: Amazon Prime
Official overview: Following an abrupt transfer, Secret Service agents Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering find themselves in the middle of South Dakota at a massive, top-secret storage warehouse that holds every strange artifact, mysterious relic, out-of-this-world object and supernatural souvenir ever found by the U.S. government. Lattimer and Bering's new task, as directed by the warehouse's caretaker, longtime agent Artie Nielsen, is to investigate reports of unexplainable and paranormal activity in an effort to secure more peculiar and dangerous objects, and to help Artie manage the warehouse itself.
My overview: imagine the TARDIS except it's a warehouse and not a police box (bigger on the inside) and it's full of cursed objects to be kept there so it doesn't destroy the world.
Thoughts on the show: I love it. It accurately depicts trauma and has decent representation such as a black woman everyone is intimidated by because she's the boss, a gay man who isn't sexualized and has development and a personality other than "gay". There is even an incredibly homoerotic friendship between two women that the actress of said women played up because they wanted their characters together, even if one turned out to be not-so-good. The show deals with sexism and victims of neglect. You'll learn a lot of random history while watching the show as all of the artifacts tend to be historically based (the guillotine blade that cut of Marie Antoinette's head, for instance). There are 5 seasons and I'm s3 or 4. Apparently the show does something weird with Pete and Myka at the end, which probably means they get together. Ran 2009 to 2014.
Thoughts on the fandom: again, way too small, although a lot bigger than Grimm. There are quite a few fics out there, mainly for the two women which I ship with my whole heart. There might be some controversy with Eddie McClintock (Pete Lattimer) but I'm not very well-versed in it. I wish Grimm's fandom was as big as W13's.
The Umbrella Academy
Platform: Netflix
Official overview: On one day in 1989, 43 infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Seven are adopted by billionaire industrialist Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who creates the Umbrella Academy and prepares his "children" to save the world. In their teenage years, though, the family fractures and the team disbands. Fast forward to the present time, when the six surviving members of the clan reunite upon the news of Hargreeves' passing. They work together to solve a mystery surrounding their father's death, but divergent personalities and abilities again pull the estranged family apart, and a global apocalypse is another imminent threat. The series is based on a collection of comics and graphic novels created and written by My Chemical Romance lead singer Gerard Way.
My overview: adult survivors of abuse with increasingly weird/out-there superpowers due to the weird circumstances of their birth come together to celebrate *cough* I mean mourn the passing of their "father" And accidentally cause the apocalypse.
Thoughts on the show: I love it. I've finished season 2,currenfly there are only 2 seasons, it's still in progress, I love it. I'm sure most of you have already watched it because what is the supernatural fandom if not emo? Also a good one for representation. Mexican man with a stutter, black woman with a daughter she is in a custody battle for, gay druggie veteran, Ellen Page, Asian ghost boy, 58 year old man in a 13 year old's body, and a half-chimp man.
Thoughts on the fandom: big. Big big big. Haven't found any fics that cater to my specific wants in a fic, but there are fics. Some of them have weird pairings, but since the show made two (adopted) siblings canon, I can't exactly blame them.
Lost Girl
Platform: I actually have no idea
Official overview: Bo is a small-town girl on the run after a disastrous sexual encounter with her boyfriend ends with his death. Bo learns that she is not human, but a succubus, who feeds on the sexual energy of humans. She and her kind are members of the Fae, creatures of legend, who walk among humans and feed off them in different ways. As she searches for the truth about her origins and runs from her inhuman urges, she vows to help those she meets along the way -- human or Fae -- who need to right a wrong.
My overview: bisexual woman finds out she's a succubus and she has to choose to be either good Fae or bad Fae (I think it's light vs dark but it's been a Hot Minute) she has a thing with a werewolf and also a thing with a Fae doctor who is human and a woman.
Thoughts on the show: it's good, 5 seasons, don't think I've finished the first season. Back when I started watching it it was on Netflix and has since been removed. It's on Vudo but it costs money which is bullshit. It's a little weird at first, but I like it. Ran 2010 to 2015.
Thoughts on the fandom: have not interacted with the fandom for fear of spoilers. I'd imagine this show's fandom is about the size of Grimm.
Being Human (USA version)
Platform: again, I don't know.
Official overview: "Being Human," based on a BBC series of the same name, features three 20-something roommates who each try to keep a secret from the rest of the world -- one is a ghost, another is a vampire and the third is a werewolf. The three roomies try to help one another navigate the complexities of living double lives.
My overview: again, weird starts off in almost the middle of the story. It deals with abuse, death, fighting urges, dealing with past sins, and, well, being human. The characters are Sally (Ghost) Aidan (vampire) and Josh (werewolf). The three of them are trying to live like normal, Aidan and Josh as workers at the local hospital as Sally works to deal with her death.
Thoughts on the show: I love it I just wish I could find it on a reliable site, again, it's on Vudo but it costs money. It definitely had the set up for a good mlm relationship but from what I've gathered they end up forcing heterosexuality.
Thoughts on the fandom: again, too small, roughly the size of Grimm. I have seen 0 fics.
The Librarians
Platform: Hulu I do so believe
Official overview: Cued by TNT's popular 'The Librarian' trilogy, this series introduces new members of an ancient group protecting mystical artefacts. Hidden below the Metropolitan Public Library, the secret society's longtime leader is Flynn Carsen, whose job has become very complicated. To help, the Library recruits Eve, a counterterrorism agent responsible for organizational security; Jacob, who has encyclopedic knowledge of art, architecture and history; Cassandra, who links auditory/sensory hallucinations to memory; and Ezekiel, a skilled thief and master technician. Overseeing them is Jenkins, the reclusive caretaker of the Library's sleepy little outpost in Oregon. Noah Wyle executive produces and recurs as Flynn, the role he played in the movie series.
My overview: very similar to W13. This time imagine the Bunker, and the Warehouse, and boom, you've got the Library.
Thoughts on the show: good! I love it, I just found out it was on Hulu and am going to be binging it as soon as I finish Grimm and Warehouse. I'd love to see a crossover between W13 and The Librarians I feel like they'd have a feud.
Thoughts on the fandom: probably the same size as W13 if not bigger as the series came from movies. Again, haven't finished the series so I haven't interacted with the fandom.
Eureka
Platform: Amazon Prime
Official overview: In the years since World War II, the U.S. government has been relocating the world's geniuses (and their families) to the Pacific Northwest town of Eureka. Daily life there shifts between amazing innovation and total chaos. U.S. Marshal Jack Carter learns this first-hand when his car breaks down in Eureka, stranding him among the town's eccentric citizens. When they unleash a scientific creation still unknown to the outside world, it's up to Carter to restore order. Subsequently, he's let in on one of America's best-kept secrets.
My overview: a small town but make every person a genius. Has some crossover with Warehouse 13, they exist in the same universe.
Thoughts on the show: I love it so far. Just the kind of weird shit I enjoy.
Thoughts on the fandom: I'd imagine about the size of Warehouse 13's but I've yet to interact considering I'm still in season 1.

hey, it’s your friendly neighborhood blob named Bloo~ here’s a lil bit about my son, Zeke!
Tumblr media
⸢ BOOBOO STEWART, 25, CISMALE, HE/HIM ⸥ — well, that looks like ( EZEKIEL “ZEKE” GRAHAM ), that ( GRAPHIC DESIGN STUDENT ) living over in ( SOUTH CONGRESS ). they’ve called austin home for ( 3 YEARS ) now, and i hear you can usually find them at ( HOMESLICE ). people say they’re ( BIG-HEARTED ) and ( PASSIONATE ), but that they also can be a bit ( AWKWARD ) and ( UNWORLDLY ). they remind me of ( LATE NIGHTS HEAVY WITH THE SCENT OF COFFEE, HANDS SMUDGED WITH CHARCOAL, FLUSTERED GRINNING ). — ⸢ BLOO, SHE/THEY, 23, CST ⸥
BIOGRAPHY:
TRIGGER WARNING: Death mention.
Zeke was born in the bustling city of New Orleans though he barely remembers it. The clearest memory of his early years were when he spent afternoons in his mama’s flower shop, helping arrange bouquets until his pops got home from work. The second clearest memory? When the storms came... the small family had tried their best to escape it, but the storm landed too quickly, and they were too late. That week, Zeke lost everything he’d known up to that point was lost to the floods, including his mama, whom was swept away from his and his pops’ hands while they were trying to hold onto the roof of that old shop, trying to wave down rescuers. For a while, all that came afterward was a blur.
The next thing he knew, they were in a completely new place, almost empty-handed -- the government at least proveded him and his pops a new apartment they didn’t have to pay for for a year, secured a job for his pops at the VA hospital in nearby Muskogee. While Tulsa wasn’t awful, gone were the familiar bayous he’d grown up being surrounded by, the blaring sun that brought people out of their houses and onto the streets, all the how y’all doin’s, the smiles on all faces young and old. Despite the sadness that swelled inside, Zeke kept a positive mental attitude. He came to also love the rolling hills, the endless plains that swallowed up the landscape wherever people weren’t.
The few years he’d spent outside, playing ball with neighboring kids on old lots in New Orleans came full circle when he joined the baseball team during high school, and boy, was he good at it. Within a year’s time, he qualified for the varsity league and, two years after that, his school had taken the state championship trophy home for the first time. Of course, everyone came flocking for the winning boys after that, but Zeke had his mind set at the time on taking a few years off to help his old man with the bills. Four years of working odd jobs around the city, he’d saved enough money to move them out and back somewhere south. Though his pops didn’t want to go back to New Orleans, per se, they played a little throwing dart roulette and found a new destination in Austin, Texas.
As soon as they’d settled in that summer, Zeke strode right into the dugouts of both St. Edwards University and the University of Texas to try out, prove that his powerful strikes at bat and the way he ran like there was no tomorrow were still intact even though he hadn’t been back on the field for a while. Though both were willing to give a full ride scholarship for his skills, he chose St. Edward’s in the end; while it wasn’t a top tier university by any means, the moment he met their coach and saw the way their team’s dynamic worked, he knew he wanted to be there to help them grow, knew that they would help him grow.
Three years in, and he loves how things are right now. He not only is the right-hand man to the curren team captain, but a new passion had kick out most of the darkness that lived inside his soul and replaced it: art. Something about the quirkiness of the city’s layout, the way even the busiest streets always were alive and full of color inspired something within. Even though most of his afternoons are spent washing dishes and sometimes bussing tables at Home Slice, Zeke can’t help but take late night, or weekend if he has time off between games, strolls and drives on his bike just to see the variation in design from building to building, street to street. He’s beginning to call this place home.
click anywhere on this line for stats!!
WANTED CONNECTIONS:
ROOMMATES (2-3 PEOPLE): His dad lives over on the outskirts of the city towards San Marcos, so he needs a place to stay while over at South Congress and, well, rent isn’t cheap when you’re along one of the busiest streets in the city. Anyone that’s a student in the area could be his roomie tbh, Zeke isn’t picky! He’s a pretty chill dude that’s barely there most days, always practicing or working to help pay the rent. Only times he really is around is to cook breakfast (his main duty lbr), tidy up the common area and wash dishes when it’s his turn, and sleep.
BASEBALL TEAMMATES (& ALUMNI), BASEBALL PLAYERS/LOVERS: There’s nothing like America’s favorite pastime to bring people together, especially when it comes being on the team itself. Zeke’s taken and given advice all three years he’s been playing for the school, and I’d love to see a mixture of interactions over the sport. So even if they’re not at St. Edward’s, he’s all about helping other people reach their potential, and just talking about the game in general?? Like. Lbr, one of his perfect dating scenarios is going to the batting cages and competing over who can make the most successful bats... or, well. Helping someone make power hits like him since that involves getting physically close to assist their form and he’s cheesy like that.
REGULARS AT HOME SLICE PIZZA: To say the least, Zeke’s part of one of the friendliest kitchen staff on the block. There’s even an award for that, no joke. Even though most of his time is spent behind the scenes, washing dishes and drying them out to stack onto the shelves so they’re ready to go for cooks and servers, he’s been on the floor to help pick up dirty dishes once people leave, clean and clear out tables for the next group coming in. Breaks are usually spent on the back patio, where he loves to look at the lights and colorful decorations, gather inspiration to journal and sketch about. Feel free to have people chat him up while he’s there!

Could you write something where Eve catches Jake and Ezekiel making out while they're supposed to be on a mission?
Hey, thanks for the request! I made it short and sweet :)
When Eve had decided they would stay in a hotel instead of going back home, she had thought it’d be a great idea. She’d convinced Jacob by explaining to him it was the easiest option, Cassandra by telling her how much fun it would be to roomie up, and Ezekiel by informing him there was a free breakfast in the morning.
Cassandra was already in bed and asleep with eight (Jacob and Ezekiel had offered theirs to her) chocolate pillow mint wrappers on the nightstand next to her. Eve had thrown a blanket over her and set an alarm for the morning, making sure it was bright and early so they wouldn’t miss the breakfast.
She knew she should probably leave them alone, but Eve needed to check up on Jacob and Ezekiel. The mission was lasting longer than they’d originally planned for, and everyone was strung-out and tired. Earlier that day, they’d nearly lost Jacob to a three-headed jackal trying to bite his face off. She knew he probably wouldn’t appreciate it, but she left the room and walked towards theirs, a few doors down.
She held up her hand to knock and then thought better of it. If they were already asleep, she’d just be waking them up. If they were still awake, they probably wouldn’t let her in anyway. Eve slipped out the key to their room she’d asked the lady at the front desk for when they were checking in, and quickly slid it through the lock mechanism, listening for the little ‘clicking’ sound.
When the light flashed up at her bright and green, Eve turned the handle and pushed in the door. She stepped in and nearly stumbled right back out again.
On what was clearly Ezekiel’s bed, her two Librarians were making out. Jacob’s bed sat lonely and still made-up, untouched. He was the one to notice her first, and when he did, he nearly chucked Ezekiel to the other bed. He sat up quickly, face red as a beet and mouth already moving and trying to explain things.
“Oh, uh, Baird, yes, hello.” He coughed awkwardly. “How are you?”
“Ugh,” Ezekiel groaned. He was on the floor as Jacob had missed the other bed by a few inches. He sat up slowly, hair mussed and face flushed, and frowned at Eve. “What’re you doing? Don’t you knock?”
“I, uh,” Eve said, slowly recovering from her shock, “wanted to check on you.”
Ezekiel jumped to his feet, falling on to the bed next to Jacob once more. He rolled his eyes. “Okay, whatever…get out. We’re busy.”
Eve snorted at that. “Yeah, I can see that.”
She watched Jacob slap Ezekiel on the back of the head and smirked to herself. Jacob still couldn’t meet her eyes. “Uh, what he means is, thank you. We’re okay, really.”
Eve’s eyebrows rose. “Yeah, I saw that.”
Jacob’s face got redder, and Ezekiel’s mouth popped open a little bit in surprise. She shrugged. “Look, it’s fine. Do whatever makes you happy, okay? Just don’t let it interfere with any actual mission, got it?”
Ezekiel rolled his eyes, already inching back towards Jacob. “Yeah, yeah, alright, mom. Just get out, would ya?”
Eve sighed, shaking her head. “Whatever you say, Jones.” She winked at Jacob when he finally met her gaze. “Don’t have too much fun.”
Jacob choked, and Ezekiel just groaned. Eve laughed lightly to herself and walked out the door again. Before it closed, she called, “And use protection!”
She heard Jacob give out a pitiful noise of embarrassment and the unmistakable sound of a pillow smacking against the closed door. Ezekiel’s voice accompanied it. “Oh my God, just go away! You’re embarrassing my boyfriend.”
She heard the thump of Jacob pushing Ezekiel off the bed for the second time and laughed loudly in the quiet hall, making her way back towards her own room.

Okay you know what I want from Librarians Season 4.
What I really truly want.
Ezekiel and Eve being housemates.
I don’t care how, I don’t care why, just please consider Ezekiel and Eve being housemates:
They have a guest room dedicated to Ezekiel’s computer towers. He calls them his babies. Every one of them is named. Eve’s caught him crooning to them.
Eve is used to never having anything in her fridge and shelves whereas Ezekiel just. fills them up? They have extra shelves. They have extra fridges. Why does Ezekiel have so much food? It’s like they’re stocked for a probably apocalypse.
And more importantly, how does all that food still manage to get over in a week? Where does all that food even go? Who knows. Not Eve.
Flynn and Ezekiel still hilariously do not get along at all and Ezekiel makes sure Eve knows about it.
Eve has never seen this many cushions and blankets and sheets in her life. Who even needs these many. She should literally change hers every day and they’d still not run out for two months without having to wash anything.
On that note, despite Ezekiel’s love for blankets, Eve is the nester. She didn’t even know it but she’s a godamned nester. There’s a lot to say about that and by god, Ezekiel is going to say it. He has so many bird puns.
They probably don’t live in an apartment okay, nor a house. It never feels safe or right.
But you know what would feel right? Converting a goddamned warehouse/abandoned tiny factory into their home. It’s spacious, roomy, enough like a battlefield or a dim streets they’re actually used to and never grew out of.
Also amazing fucking vantage points.
Between the two of them their house is so incredibly secure it’s terrifying.
“Jones, did we end up DIYing a mini Library ourselves?” “You know Col Baird, I think we did.” “All right then. Chinese?” “Not from the place Stone likes. They’re terrible.”
Eve still hasn’t got the military lifestyle out of her completely and Ezekiel is a surprisingly obsessive neat freak. Keeping the house clean may have turned into a competitive sport, whoops.
They like fight for closet space all the time. Like the one thing Eve likes about her readjusting to pseudo civilian life is the clothes. She may be building a wardrobe. But Ezekiel already has one, and refuses to cut down on anything.
Also he has so many sweaters, why does he have so many sweaters?
Eve totally starts stealing them though, they are comfy sweaters.
“Flynn’s coming over for dinner.” “We don’t have food.” “Jones, you’re eating right now.”
Movie nights with bad action films and platonic cuddling on the couch where they criticize everything injury, military, and the thieving world.
Threats of horrible violence from Eve towards some of Ezekiel’s teasing start becoming extremely commonplace.
Ezekiel always replies with: I love you too Mama Baird.

Look at It again!!!
 Matthew 7:13–14 (ESV)
“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
Two gates are presented. A gate represents a decision. A chance or a choice that needs to be made. Here one gate is extremely narrow. It has extremely high requirements and its way is said to be hard. The gate leads to a road or a pathway. This road is found beyond the gate. It is “a narrow, confined road and therefore a source of trouble or difficulty to those using it.” It actually an impossible road. This road is God’s pathway for the believer.
Why would God’s gate and the corresponding pathway be described as a narrow one? Is it because one must expend a great deal of energy to travel on it? Is it because so few have what it takes to open the gate and follow this pathway? Look at it again!!
  Ezekiel 34:20–22 (ESV)
“Therefore, thus says the Lord God to them: Behold, I, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep. Because you push with side and shoulder, and thrust at all the weak with your horns, till you have scattered them abroad, I will rescue my flock; they shall no longer be a prey. And I will judge between sheep and sheep.
  Ezekiel 34:16 (ESV)
…. the strong I will destroy. I will feed them in justice.
The picture here is of a sheep with horns. Not all sheep have horns. Some breeds have horns in both the sexes. Other breeds are just horned in the ram or males. Other breeds have drastically reduced horns or no horns at all. These unhorned sheep are considered the weak or defenseless ones. A horned sheep can assert itself above an unhorned sheep and drive it away from food sources. A horned sheep can become stronger through this self-assertion or dominance. But God says “I, myself, will judge between the fat and the lean sheep.” And “I will rescue my flock; they shall no longer be a prey.”
Why would God’s gate and the corresponding pathway be described as a narrow one? In my mind this morning, it is because to participate in it and to benefit from it, we must lose our lives:
  Psalm 102:23 (ESV)
He has broken (weakened) my strength in midcourse; he has shortened my days.
  Matthew 16:25 (ESV)
For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
Tension comes into our lives as difficulty in our Christian experience, when we try to save our lives. God is removing our “horns” so to speak. He is weakening our strength; he is breaking our strength. This process is what we are called to choose. This choice is God’s gate. It leads to his way. It is the road that he lights for our feet. It comes through a revelation from his word:
  Psalm 119:105 (ESV)
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
There is another road that comes from another choice. It has far more options and a greater diversity. It seems more reasonable to those who are on it. It is far more popular as well: “For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many.” It arises when we say: “I will keep my horns thank you. I will save my life and I will beat the odds. I will not lose my life.” We choose to remain in our strength. It seems easier, but the consequences are destructive. We will lose our lives. In the end we will find ourselves coming up empty. For we are not grounded in what God is doing. We are taking up another source for our lives.
Talk to a sinner at the end of their road. One almost at death. And you will see. I have heard it once and then repeatedly. “Tell your children not to sin in the way that I have. I have wasted my life in the broad and seemingly easy way.” The choice is wide or diversified. The pathway or road has ample room. It is broad, spacious, and roomy. One can seem to live there comfortably and unmolested. But it is deceptive. It is an illusion that many choose to remain in. It is easier for the moment. But disastrous in the end. It is not God’s way. God would have us choose to live outside of such deception and lies.
Can we finish with a question? One comes from a second look. Look again at your life and the road it will finish on. Have you chosen God’s gate? Or another door? I would beg you today to come to Christ and lose your life in his. You will come upon something far more valuable and precious than you might ever dream about.
Lord Jesus, help us again to simply look and see what you have done for us. Help us to open the gate and walk on that pathway where we find your life adequate for all our needs. Amen!!!

Web Series Wednesday | Hermione Granger and the Quarter Life Crisis
What? Hermione Granger and the Quarter Life Crisis
Who? Starring: Created by Eliyannah Amirah Yisrael and written by Jessica Jenks and L. Olive Henandez. Ashley Romans, Tamara French, Sinead Persuad, Stephanie Ezekiel, Nicholas D. Johnson, DJ Ester, Chase Maser and Robert Dowdy.
Why Should I Watch? Who the hell wouldn't want a web series following Hermione Granger?! This modern-day story of Hermione (Romans) follows her life as a 25-year-old after she realizes she no longer wants to be Hogwarts sweetheart, Ron Weasley. Not only that but she decides she doesn't want to stay in the UK or grow up to be Minister of Magic.
On a whim, she quickly apparates to LA to reunite with her Muggle cousin, LaQuita Granger (French), former Hogwarts roomie Parvati Patil (Persuad) and the boy she once socked in the face, Draco Malfoy (Johnson). Along the way she befriends a fairly lively and diverse group of friends while she figures out the ins and outs of leaving the only world she knew behind.
When I first came across the trailer I was what the kids are calling these days, shookth (did I use that right?). Not only do we have a modern day telling of Hermione (the true star of Harry Potter, let's be real), but we get diversity. Yes, that thing that lacks in mainstream entertainment, say it with me now folks, diversity. Now, normally, I'm very skeptical about any sort of Harry Potter remake but creator, Yisrael, does a stellar job at weaving in the important moments and details from the original Harry Potter series, all while putting her own natural twist on things.
Where Can I Watch? The series currently has 5 episodes available via Sunshine Moxie's YouTube channel, with new episodes on the horizon! Be sure to keep up with the series via their social media channels and join in on their regularly-hosted #HashingOutHermione, in with the series' cast/crew hang out and talk everything Hermione!

Dominique's Episode Summer Shelf 2023
Hey everyone! I wanted to create another shelf list because I've been reading a lot more Episode stories lately. If you want to see what I'm reading, check out my new Instagram, @dominique_readsthings.
Opening Act by Erato - Romance
You land an understudy role in a Broadway musical, and now you've got your eye on the hot star of the show. But will they ever notice you outside of the spotlight?
Life in the theater is dramatic, and let me tell you this story delivers on that promise. Nothing is written without meaning and you can feel that throughout the story. I keep finding myself binge-reading this story because I can't stop learning about the characters.
even sweeter by Toriah - Mystery
The sudden death of a beloved socialite makes waves within her tightly knit inner circle. But perhaps the gilded life of Adora Alcourt was never as sweet as she made it seem.
This story is a mystery that had me gasping at every chapter. Each time new information is revealed, I was absolutely shaking. Especially moving into the last few chapters. This short story is complex and deserves multiple reads as the points system and a final choice affect your ending.
UL: Ice Cream Connoisseur by Gerr - Comedy
Salt air, ice-cream shops, beach parties, anonymous messages and to top it all off, our highschool nemesis! Exactly what you need to recover from shocking news, right?
Need a good beach read that takes you away to a romance as sweet (and turbulent) as Rocky Road Ice Cream? Well, I felt all of that reading this story. Something about scooping that ice cream made my arm tired (virtually, of course) and dealing with all the problems Sabrina has to go through.
THE UNWANTED by Evilyn - Mystery
15 years since we've been deemed useless and deported to Earth. Now, we reuinte to solve the supernatural murders and as past becomes present, our mistakes become fatal...
This is a read you need to devote all your attention to. Yes, it's funny, but in an instant, you'll be sucked into a story that is painful and deep for you and the characters living it.
SLAY by Lucas - LGBTQ+
The campus' LGBTQ+ club is caught in a murder scandal, that roomies Tim and Ezekiel intend to solve. They will find mystery, danger... and maybe love?
This story SLAYS! Pun intended. Something about how goofy the police are, how scary the murderer is (and who are they??), and finally how cute are the two? Too cute!
Eight-eens by Tasha - Drama
Eight teens. Lots of drama. Lots of challenges... Play as Veronica who navigates life facing family drama, high-school drama, love and of course her big friendship group.
Let me tell you this story is about to become messy I can feel it. Something about the way these characters are written is so interesting. It's not your average slice-of-life drama let me tell you, the lives of these characters are so interesting and it is even more wholesome to read them help each other out through their problems.
You should support these authors and read the stories above listed. I promise you won't regret it.
