in this section i keep printed out pictures of ANYTHING that inspires a look in my head. it doesn’t have to be clothing. i have photos of desserts, animals, places, etc. and if i don’t get a chance to print a photo i’ll write a short entry about what i saw that inspired me. 💗

wishlist

pretty self-explanatory. i keep a list of all the items i wanna buy/try on. i like printing out pics of pieces i want and recording where to get them from. 🍰

stylingz

i style my own looks under the name “noelle’s prêt-à-porter” or “noelle’s ready to wear.” i style looks based on pieces i own and pieces on my wishlist. i use this as way to hone in on my curation skills. i keep printouts of lookz i made and future concept ideas in this section. + i keep diy ideas in this section 🍓

detailz

Gaz and his hyper feminine girlfriend - that's it, that's the post.

He comes home to find her sat on the living room floor with a nail polish bottle and all sorts of other clippers and cuticle pushers and whatnot, which to him just look like miniaturised torture instruments.

She's constantly got a flawless mani-pedi, does it herself like twice a month even though he always offers to pay to take her so the nail salon. She likes doing her own though because she can change it whenever she likes. She's also like a chronic people pleaser who has a hard time admitting when she doesn't like something, and has come out of the nail salon more than once in floods of tears because the nail tech didn't do what she wanted and she couldn't say no.

She has a whole box of pretty polishes in an assortment of glossy pinks and pearly whites, even has some little extra things that she adds when she wants to spice things up, like glue on rhinestones or chrome powder.

Gaz learns to paint nails - orders a clear top coat online and practises on himself. Before he gets deployed she trims his nails and cuticles for him anyways so that they don't get in his way, broken etc, so he's got a vague gist of how it works.

He notices the way she struggles to paint her non dominant hand and offers out of the blue to do it for her. She accepts and he uses the pink coated brush with meticulous precision that only a soldier could even think of achieving.

He ends up joining her little mani pedi sessions, claiming that he's only doing it to protect his nails, keep them clean and short for totally innocent (not) reasons.

He also helps her fix her hair, seeing as he's got the advantage of his height and being able to see the back of her hair, he's always adjusting her little ribbons that she wears or making sure her ponytail isn't bumpy.

Also always makes sure to subtly pull down the hems of her skirts and dresses when they ride up and show off a little more than she'd be cool with. He's fine with her wearing whatever though, no matter how short or skimpy. He can fight.

This man is so utterly whipped for his girlfriend, he'll do anything to make her happy, even if that includes skincare and her freaky face masks that actually kind of sting, not that he'll admit it when she putters around in her Hello Kitty skincare headband without complaint.

He LOVES you in black lingerie. Everyone thinks he’s such a great guy, such a gentleman but between the sheets he’s super freaky and likes for you to be too. He likes a bit of danger, and seeing you in black lace just does it for him. Sometimes he’ll mix it up with different colours (white is his other favourite on you) but usually always with some type of black trim, bow or accent.

Ari Levinson

Ari is literally a daddy so he loves you in pretty pink baby girly lingerie. His love language is also buying you gifts (lingerie) so every piece is like a bespoke, perfectly crafted piece of art. He loves soft baby pink colours on you, white lace trim, see-through pieces, smooth satin, a lot of intricate lace detailing, stitched in roses, tulle, a touch of an opulent vintage mixed with a cutesy babygirl look too. And he spoils and pampered you soooo much and just ugh let me stop here.

Ransom Drysdale

You’d think he’d be into opulent purple or something but no… Ransom just wants you to look as downright slutty as possible (in a classy way) so he has a preference to red lingerie. It matches the red Chanel lipstick he bought you. He’s really into corsets, suspenders, garter belts and he also loves for you to pair the red lingerie with traditional pearls.

Lloyd Hansen

I think Lloyd would be into the super whimsical, intricate, dreamy type of lingerie. Think like For Love and Lemons type vibe. A lot of flowers, hearts and bows in cute pastel colours with a dash of bold mixed in! He especially loves ribbons, he loves tugging on them to bring you closer. He ends up ripping a lot of your lingerie but he thinks there’s something poetic about something so intricately pretty all ripped up. He prefers you naked anyways, although he secretly thinks the lingerie is pretty sweet.

Curtis Everett

He loves you in white lingerie. Pure, clean, gorgeous satiny white! Maybe because he’s so dirty himself bc he doesn’t bathe jk hehe. But no, he just loves how white lingerie reminds him of purity and innocence. He loves that juxtaposition between you and him — he’s all grimy and sweaty from work and comes home to see you dressed up in the pretty white set he bought you??? Oh he’d be ecstatic!

Andy Barber

He loves blue lingerie. Idk why. Maybe he really liked Cinderella or something (although Cinderella’s original dress was actually silver/white). Anyways yeah. Also fun fact the middle pic is one of my favourite VS catalog pictures from 2003.

I went with the hand of glory for a motif because it was thought to paralyze or put people to sleep, and what's better for a pillow?

This is the most beading I've ever done in a project and it was really satisfying.

The rhinestone trim though? A real nightmare. Hated it. Tedious. Awful.

This Mattel Hattie Happy head arrived with rhinestones in the eyes, replacing the original (and fragile) eye chips. I painted irises and upper shadow over them, and that blended well with the rest of the original eye paint.

The head had been in the parts box for years, waiting for an appropriate body. I stuck it on a Cave Club body as a joke, and...it kinda worked? But I didn't like the lack of shoe options for the Cave Club feet. It turns out the Cave Club lower legs are easy to remove, and I had had some Bratzillaz (or possibly Project MC2) lower legs in for a while. I really liked the proportions of the lower legs on this body, but I was never happy enough with the actual legs to go ahead and paint them to match.

I dug the doll out again recently and noticed how much the Cave Club thighs looked like G1 MH thighs, just scaled down a bit. @musicalmeowsandcandiedlemons had sent some MH legs a while ago (thanks again!), so I cut them apart to get the lower legs out, then trimmed a bit of plastic off of the knee pegs, and they fit into the Cave Club thighs pretty well.

They didn't match, though. (they had been Draculaura's)

I still didn't feel like dealing with the airbrush, or with mixing (or buying) paint to match, so I rummaged through the Citadel paints in Husband's stash and thought Bestial Brown looked close. I applied it with a broad brush, and it is a little streaky and dark, plus I wanted to protect the paint from possibly sticking to the insides of the shoes, and hosiery addresses all of those issues.

I do not like sewing for dolls this small, but that also means I don't have much that fits them, so I have to make something sometime, and sewed this dress specifically for her today.

A Prissy Girl’s Guide to Fall

back by popular demand, i’m here with another prissy girl guide! this post is a bit late for the fall but it’ll allow you to finish the season off in a pretty fashion, and transition to the winter smoothly. i’ll be discussing the look i’ve been adorned in as of late and my fav products i’ll be using for the spirit of fall! 💓

what’s the look this fall?

the look this season is “divalicious barbie.” voluminous hair, tapered square nails and fur details + neutral color palettes. add in a few pops of pink and some sparkly detailz and you got my look this fall. “sexy chic.” i’ve been really leaning into the vibe of a runway supermodel diva emulsion. as you may have seen, my birthday outfit drew from many inspirations, focally the early nineties alaia runway shows. just immense glamour, class and girliness with a healthy dose of sexy.

first and foremost…

the weather is turning so a lot of us are catching colds. take care of your health and rest. protect your immune system and dress according to weather. i almost always get sick around late september/early october and its because of the dip my immune system takes due to the change in climate.

preparation

some of you are in school like me. one of the reasons the fall is my fav season is because it’s time to get back to the basics. you should be developing new study routines around this time or perfecting the ones you have already

new school supplies + stationery. pretty girls deserve to stay stocked up on glitter ink and fuzzy pens

start saving money for the holiday season

get a handle on your halloween look early so not to scramble when the day comes

stock up on tea, immune boosters like emergen-c and medicine

start going outside in the morning to get the vitamin D and K you may lose out on as the seasons turn

set new goals and track them in a diary or planner

try to get well rested. the change from fall to winter can cause a lot of mood and energy complications due to lack of rest
