1899, 1.07- "The Storm"
Tumblr media
Elliot. Well, we finally have a name and we finally have enough answers to start putting together what's going on here. I was right about Daniel and Maura and the Boy- called Elliot- being family, even down to the relationships there, and everything Daniel told Maura has really blown this whole thing wide open. Now, my biggest theory about the mystery is this:
Daniel and Maura had a son together, Elliot, and he's dead. His death hurt so badly that she willingly put herself into this simulation, where she doesn't believe she can have children. But her father has corrupted the simulation for his own purposes, and now Daniel has either broken into it to try and help break Maura out as well, or her mind has created him in the simulation to help her break out, now that the simulation has gone bad. But, for some reason, this simulation keeps running and keeps running and keeps running, and Daniel is trying every time to break Maura out of it, but he never has yet. I personally think the simulation is hosted inside the Pyramid, and all the different visions are in different rooms that the beetle (bug) lets them travel between. So, how will they get out? They'll need that key. I just... don't know what the key is yet. Eyk maybe? His name is an anagram of the word "key"...
Anyway, that's my breakdown of what's going on, so here's to the characters. I was actually really touched by Anker choosing to stay behind with Iben? She's definitely gone insane at some point, likely the day that Krester was shot and Tove assaulted and being forced to watch that, and in the end, Anker couldn't leave her to die alone. Add to that Franz's sacrifice to ensure Tove's survival, and I think it's really interesting how much sacrifice we see in this episode, also including Olek's sacrifice for Ying Li. Of course, those weren't the only deaths here. We lost Lucien, as I'd been predicting for a few episodes now to some extent, so... I suppose that technically frees up Clémence to be with Jérôme? I really liked Lucien in the end, though, and I thought it was sweet how Jérôme was the first to notice something was wrong and try to help him- their relationship really made a huge shift, and I like to think they'd have been alright if Lucien hadn't died. Ángel was another death, and poor Ramiro is now left alone.
Or is he? I still get the feeling these characters will all be back somehow. Now that the Kerberos has been archived just like the Prometheus, they'll either start a new simulation which ought to revive our dead cast members, or I wonder if they may find that different people survived each time in different simulations? Krester could be on one ship as its survivor, and maybe Olek on another, and any number of infinitesimal combinations. Who knows? Well, the writers do I suppose, and I hope I will after the finale!

XRP price is trading in a narrow range and has been in a congestion range below the 200-day EMA over the past few sessions. However, the buyers persisted in attempting a pullback, extending the buying momentum to retain the spot of $1. Recently, the XRP price retested the demand zone and formed a rejection candlestick, indicating that buyers have a strong grip. However, bulls need massive strength and extreme momentum to break the cage, to escape the primary hurdle above the neckline of $0.6000. XRP price is in a cage and it could have escaped the 200-day EMA barrier over the past few days. The price action shows seller dominance and suggests bullish activity persists. XRP price is trading below neutrality, exceeding the 20-day EMA, which shows buyers are trying to pull back and will likely exceed the follow-on buying momentum to escape the 200-day EMA. At press time, XRP price is trading at $0.5090 with an intraday gain of 1.17%, showing neutrality on the charts. Moreover, the trading volume increased by 3.82% to $1.07 Billion, and the pair of XRP/BTC is at 0.0000188 BTC. Moreover, the market cap of XRP is $27.15 Billion. However, analysts maintained a neutral rating and suggested a negative outlook for the following sessions. XRP Price Action on Daily Charts Source: XRP Price Chart At TradingView On the daily charts, XRP price is trading near the 200-day EMA awaiting follow-on buying momentum to extend the reversal toward $0.6000. Furthermore, the price action showed that the XRP price had faced the supply zone near $0.9000 and faced a substantial setback, resulting in retracement toward the origin and demand zone near $0.5000. However, the bulls held the gains and absorbed the selling pressure. Afterward, XRP price remained in a narrow congestion range and hovered below the neutrality. Short Term Charts Shows Ascending Triangle Pattern  Source: XRP Price Chart At TradingView On the 4-hour charts, the XRP price shows an ascending triangle pattern, reviving the past sessions’ gains. Furthermore, the buyers are looking to retest the 200-day EMA soon, which, if surpassed, will extend the buying momentum and favor bulls. The RSI curve stayed in the overbought zone, showing a positive crossover which highlights the bulls’ efforts to increase the momentum. The MACD indicator showed a bullish crossover and formed green bars on the histogram, indicating that bulls are attempting to retain the highs near $0.6000. Summary XRP price action indicates neutrality and could retest the 200-day EMA, showing the buyers’ efforts in the past sessions. Furthermore, the bulls want to retain the gains, proceed with the reversal, and surpass the 20-day EMA barrier, showing that buying interest indicates a long build-up activity in the last few sessions. Technical Levels Support Levels: $0.5000 and $0.4000 Resistance Levels: $0.6000 and $0.8000 Source

For anyone interested in stories about Obi-Wan Kenobi—I’ve compiled a chronological list of prequel-era books (Legends and Canon) where he appears. I also have a list of all his appearances in video at the end of the post behind a break bc I do try to respect peoples dashboards haha. I’m still working on figuring out the comics, but anyway here are the books:

It's probably not perfect, but it's better than nothing! I am definitely focused on the prequel era, bc that’s my area of expertise—the empire etc. is beyond me at the moment.
I know there are a sizable percentage of fans who dismiss anything that’s not in red ink as illegitimate characterization sources. I respectfully submit that it’s fun and interesting to have a character with a lot of memories and adventures.

laura, sweeney, and le vrai sang de l’amour
Have been thinking a lot about Laura’s Ye Olde Resurrection Potion in the wake of 2.08, and how it might figure into resurrecting Sweeney. If he’s gonna come back, I do think the potion is currently the strongest and most obvious method of reviving him — and how stunningly, tragically beautiful it would be, too, for Laura to give up her potion for him like he gave up his coin for her in 1.07. But while I’ve seen some spec positing that Laura already plans to use the potion and basically has it all planned out, I’m not convinced that this resurrection is going to be nearly so straightforward or quickly resolved, especially in light of Gaiman calling this subplot “one of the engines that is going to drive season 3.”
The simplest possible course of action, as far as I can see, would be: Inspired by the sight of his blood, Laura already intends to use it in her potion, and either has already decided to use it to revive him instead of herself or will ultimately decide to do so. The fact that she deliberately puts her toe in his blood is intriguing and could imply that it’s on her mind. This possibility, however, depends on the idea that Laura believes that Sweeney loves her — or at least is full enough of love, in general, for his blood to work.
Does he love her? ...Hm. Y’all know I ship the heck outta this, but right now, I would put Madwife at more of the FALLING in love stage than BEING in love, in the deep and abiding sense of the word. I certainly think Sweeney cares deeply about her, is spiritually and romantically attracted to her, and feels a great deal of fondness, loyalty, and protectiveness toward her, yeah. I think Laura’s begun to have the same kind of feelings and that though neither of them is ready to admit it, their feelings are swiftly growing into love. Regardless of whether he does or doesn’t love her yet, though, the question is whether Laura believes that he does — believes that he loves her so much that his blood would work. And honestly... I doubt it? Given how deep in denial they both are, it feels like too big a jump for her to go from “The voodoo sex was a trap set by Wednesday” in 2.05 straight to “Sweeney’s blood is infused with true love.”
Also, from a practical standpoint... If she’d already decided to use Sweeney’s blood in the potion — whether to resurrect herself or to resurrect him — what would be the point in taking his body? There’s blood all over him. There’s blood all over the floor. It’s a bit coagulated, sure, but still liquidy, just get a straw and slorp some up. If she thought that all she needed were his blood, she could plunk a couple drops in and use the potion right then and there. Does she think that the blood has to be from someone who’s living, and that she therefore has to bring Sweeney back to life first? That could be an explanation, but the Baron never says anything to imply such a thing.
So the fact that she takes his whole entire body implies, to me, at least two things: (1) He’s not just a big blood bag to her — she intends to do something with/for him, not merely with his blood; and (2) She’s either not yet sure what she intends to do, or she feels that it can’t be done immediately; otherwise, why not just do it in the funeral parlor.
Plus, my mind keeps going back to what Mama-Ji said: “The problem is not with the potion. It is why you take it.” I don’t think this means that the blood is not necessarily required; Baron Samedi said that’s what she needs, so for now, at least, I see no reason to doubt him. But I think Mama-Ji’s words hint that it may not be as simple as just dribbling in a couple drops from someone who may or may not love somebody. Intent matters here. Laura sacrificing her own shot at resurrection in order to save Sweeney would, I think, be a very loving intention indeed, but I don’t know whether she’s considered that yet. As of 2.08, I feel like all I can really say for certain about Laura’s actions is that she was clearly very upset by his death, and I think this emotional distress (as opposed to any selfish use of his blood) was what motivated her to steal him, regardless of whether or not she has a solid plan yet about what she intends to do.
So altogether, even if the potion does prove to be the means of resurrection, I think Laura might have to spend some time figuring things out before we make it to that point. I just have a lotta questions, I suppose, about how this ultimately might work.

The authorities has prioritised spending towards areas akin to rural improvement and agriculture. (File Photo)
The authorities has prioritised spending towards areas akin to rural improvement and agriculture to generate bigger advantages for the economic system, and restricted expenditure in non-priority areas throughout the first 4 months of the present fiscal yr. Even as the overall authorities spending throughout April-July has elevated 11 per cent regardless of a steep fall in income, precedence areas have seen important leap, Expenditure Secretary TV Somanathan stated.
Rural improvement spending, as an illustration, rose 145.four per cent to Rs 1,02,096.5 crore in April-July 2020, from Rs 41,589.2 crore in April-July 2019.
“The overall figure reflects a sharp increase in priority areas, accompanied by conscious re-prioritisation of those areas which are of lower benefit to the economy. The focus of government expenditure has been in the priority areas such as Rural Development, Agriculture Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Health, Transfer to States, GST Compensation, Health Research, Labour and Employment,” he stated in a reply to queries from The Indian Express on whether or not the current stage of presidency spending was ample to to revive the economic system.
Official information confirmed that the Centre’s whole expenditure in April-July elevated by about Rs 1.07 lakh crore, or about 11.three per cent — up from Rs 9.47 lakh crore in April-July final yr to Rs 10.54 lakh crore this yr. Many industrialists, economists in addition to the Reserve Bank of India have instructed a authorities-led spending push to revive the economic system, which contracted by a file 23.9 per cent when it comes to Gross Domestic Product within the April-June quarter.
Somanathan stated as a share of diminished GDP within the first quarter, the rise in whole expenditure is massive and transfers to states have risen 35 per cent regardless of a steep fall in Central revenues. While the Rs 20 lakh crore Atmanirbhar Bharat package deal relied on liquidity measures injected by the RBI and money transfers to the poor and needy, there are actually requires a renewed fiscal push to revive development.
“The prioritisation of expenditure has been done by restricting expenditure in Non-priority areas to 20 per cent and 15 per cent for the quarter in certain categories of ministries. 40 grants out of 101 have been restricted to 20 per cent or less expenditure to allocate funds to priority areas. These include Grants such as: Youth Affairs and Sports, Tourism, Culture, Steel, Statistics and Program Implementation, Space, Shipping, Science and Technology, Land Resources, Planning, Parliamentary Affairs etc,” he stated.
The authorities additionally tried to push up capital expenditure — to Rs 1,11,849 crore in April-July 2020 as in comparison with Rs 1,07,605 crore in April-July 2019 — regardless of difficulties being confronted throughout the lockdown. Achieving a rise within the current circumstances displays the robust push the federal government has given to this excessive multiplier sector, he stated. Highest capital expenditure of Rs 34,304.44 crore was executed in defence companies, adopted by Rs 23308.74 crore in railways and Rs 22,854 crore in street transport and highways.
During April-July, expenditure beneath Centrally Sponsored Schemes rose by Rs 59,155 crore to Rs 1,54,872 crore, with MGNREGA (National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme) accounting for Rs 51,445 crore, adopted by National Livelihood Mission (Ajeevika) at Rs 35,190 crore.
Under the 85 main central sector schemes — which represent 90 per cent of whole Budget estimates beneath the top — there was an expenditure of Rs 2,59,731 crore in April-July 2020, which is 38,347 crore lower than that in April-July 2019. The authorities spent Rs 28,621 crore beneath PM Kisan scheme throughout the first 4 months of this fiscal.

Note
do you have any hcs about what type of stims simon would do/like?
I want to state for public record that I got excited someone asked me this, flapped my hands, and promptly knocked over my coffee with my elbow.
There’s two categories I wrote about here: things he does in canon that I can see are related to stimming, and things he does not, but which I think he’d enjoy.
Disclaimer: I headcanon Simon as autistic, but of course, we have no canon confirmation of this, and stimming is not exclusively to autistic or even neurodivergent people - even NT people stim! Theirs is usually “”socially acceptable”” whereas stims typically used by autistic people are not, but this is a different topic.
Okay, here goes:
Given what we’ve seen in canon, and how expressive he is with his body and how musically inclined, some I could think of would be:
leg bouncing, especially when nervous/anxious
for example: in 1.07, when he’s extremely on edge due to Maureen and Camille’s blood, in 2.03 when he’s worried about his mother and on the phone with Clary, speaking to Magnus about reviving Jocelyn in 2.05, the bench scene in 2.11, in which he’s happy, etc etc.
twisting his fingers or rubbing them against each other, which he does a lot in various situations
for example: in the same scene in 1.07, in 2.05 in the same Magnus scene as above, in 2.08 when confessing his feelings to Clary, in 2.14 when coming back to Jace and Clary after speaking to the Seelie Queen, in 2.11 when talking to Maia about becoming a Daylighter, in 2.16 during the dinner and later when speaking to Maia outside the boathouse, speaking to Maia about their feelings for each other in 2.19… there’s a lot more, tbh, I won’t list them all
pacing, which can be a stim for some people
he does this a lot, for example: in 2.08, when preparing to confess his feelings to Clary, or at several points at the party later the same episode, during most of his phonecalls etc.
bouncing on his heels or toes
for example: talking to Clary before she speaks to the Silent Brothers in 1.02, in 2.11 after speaking to Jace at the bench, in 2.16, talking to Maia and Izzy at the Jade Wolf in 2.17, when speaking to Maia at the end of the ep, at the beginning of 2.18 with Maia, and hard to tell, but potentially when talking to Maia in front of the boathouse the end of that ep
hugging his upper body, as pressure stim and protection
for example: at the Fray home in 1.01, talking to Luke at the end of 1.011, speaking to the Seelie Queen in 2.14, on the phone with Clary in 2.03, speaking to Raphael at the boathouse in 2.11, watching over Bat in 2.18
pressure on his shoulders by putting his hands in the pockets of his hoodie/jacket, which I know is an odd one, but I promise it’s super satisfying if you like pressure stims
for example: in 2.03, when he’s looking for his mum with Clary, talking to Izzy outside of the Jade Wolf in 2.17 (and then he gestures with his hands still in his pockets, which can also be a stim of a sort), and I know there’s more but I can’t remember/find them
rubbing his hair/head
for example: also on the phone with Clary in 2.03, on the phone with his mum in 2.04, talking to Maia at the beginning of 2.19
tapping his foot
for example: you actually see him do this if you look closely at his foot in 2.11 during the bench scene
rubbing his fingers against his jeans when his hands are in his pockets
for example: in front of the van in 1.01, talking to Izzy in the greenhouse in 2.12, at the beginning of 2.18 with Maia
auditory/musical, simply by playing his own music, listening to music on repeat, etc.
not really an example, since it’s hard to tell with auditory stims, but he’s very musically inclined, so
also: hitting the cymbal really excitedly in 2.11 when he’s in the boathouse and leaving a voice message for Clary
pressure stims by crossing his legs or sitting on one leg
for example: he kind of does this when locked up with Maia in 2.13 and sitting down at the Seelie Queen’s table in 2.14
fiddling with whatever random thing he has in his hands when he sits down and has a conversation*
for example: speaking to Jace in 2.07 with a napkin, speaking to Maia in 2.11 with a pen (?) and a shotglass, but there’s numerous times he does that
*on that note, I think he’d enjoy stim cubes
Some which I can’t find scenes in canon for, cannot remember him doing, or simply imagine he could do but canonically does not:
playing with the hems of his sleeves or outer shirts, or fiddling with zippers of hoodies and jackets
slightly hitting his arms against his body, with his palms against his thighs
we sometimes see him wear bracelets, which I can imagine him pulling on or slowly spinning/rotating around his wrist
at least before vampirism, I can see him biting his fingers (not his nails, but like, on his fingers?) and/or the inside of his cheeks
drumming his fingers on tables, which he’s probably done in canon, but I can’t recall specific scenes
I think we all know he’s the student that keeps clicking their pen, lbr
echolalia! he does speak in pop culture references, but I can definitely also imagine him doing that
kicking out with his legs when he’s sitting on something and his feet aren’t on the ground (eg. sitting on a table or a kitchen counter)
As for textures, it’s really hard to tell from canon information, and I feel like it’s very arbitrary as to what textures someone likes and dislikes (I, for example, love scratchy wool jumpers and hate thick liquids), but I like to imagine he likes slightly rough and rigged textures? Rough jeans, steel guitar strings, paper napkins, worn leather.
and a honourable mention to
the thing he sometimes does when he walks and he kicks out a leg or jumps a step instead of walking normally

Realty in Mumbai in 2018: MahaRERA and GST keep prices high, sales low
Tumblr media
The year 2018 was one of transition for the realty sector as goods and services tax (GST) and Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA), introduced a year earlier, made their impact on the industry.
The slowdown in the realty sector continued, though sales improved marginally after October. There was no revival in the sector though with the non-banking finance companies (NBFCs) crisis towards the end of the year further affecting investments.
The homebuyer stayed in focus as builders tried to woo them with sops like price cuts and incentives as well as flexible payment options to buy homes. Builders also did not venture into luxury houses and instead focused on creating small, compact affordable houses, aimed at the budget homebuyer. Despite this, there was no major price correction in the sector.
According to Anuj Puri, chairman of the property consultancy firm, ANAROCK, 2018 was a transitory phase.
“Though MahaRERA and the GST were unveiled in 2017, the real effects were felt in 2018. Builders were complying with the conditions for major part of the year. After that in the end of the year, it was the NBFCs crisis, which acted as the dampener,” said Puri.
NBFCs are major financiers in the realty sector apart from the banks. However, indiscriminate lending and liquidity issues plunged NBFCs in crises due to which lending was curtailed significantly, putting the builders in a tight spot.
Ashok Mohanani, vice-president of National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO-West), a leading body of builders, agreed with Puri.
“The 12% GST is a dampener as it tends to spoil the entire budget of the homebuyer. In addition, funding was a big issue, which dogged builders this year. The NBFC crisis also came at time when the real estate was picking up,” said Mohanani.
MahaRERA has been adopting a carrot-and-stick attitude in which it has penalised builders for violations, but also given them concessions to complete projects and hand over possession to buyers.
In 2018, builders focused more on finishing existing projects and selling them rather than launching new ones. For many builders, it was the time to offload their inventory as the unsold stock had reached record levels.
In Mumbai, the figure touched 1.07 lakh and in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), it was 2.71 lakh. Many leading builders for whom small houses were a no-no for years joined the bandwagon, resulting in a spurt in compact, one bedroom-hall-kitchen apartments.
Manju Yagnik, vice-chairperson of Nahar Group, credited the affordable houses as a driving force for sales. “The year 2018 witnessed traction towards affordable housing projects, and the sales of these projects are expected to further gain momentum in 2019.
The government’s PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) subsidy scheme, which for first-time home buyers, has also been a success,” said Yagnik.
Another welcome news for builders was the passage of the Development Control and Promotion Regulations (DCPR) 2034, which cleared the path for various new and stuck projects.
From the government’s side, the 535-acre Dharavi project was revived while Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (Mhada) cleared the way to issue tenders for its ambitious 128-acre Motilal Nagar revamp project, which is expected to generate at least 18,000 low-cost houses.
According to both builders and analysts, the next year will be gloomy for at least the first six months, thanks to the upcoming parliamentary elections as well as the continuing slowdown. “The market will pick up pace only after six months in 2019,” said Pankaj Kapoor, chief executive officer of the real estate research firm, Liases Foras. “The NBFC crisis is slowly receding and some funding is taking place, but it will need some months to get back to full-fledged infusion of liquidity,” said Kapoor. He said that great strides are likely in the affordable housing segment.
According to Anuj Puri, the coming year will see massive consolidation.
“Most of the small players will either go for joint ventures or sell off their projects to bigger players. It will be good for the real estate sector,” said Puri.

Battlezone VR 1.07 patch incoming. Adds flight stick and HOTAS support
Tumblr media
Rebellion’s Battlezone VR is about to receive the 1..07 update which comes with some new requested features.
The main point to note which will please players is support for the “majority” of flight sticks and HOTAS controllers but they will take some tweaking to setup. The update also comes with numerous bug fixes and improvements to voice chat.
Rebellion had planned on pushing this live earlier but there was apparently some “gremlins”. It may be live at the time of writing but keep checking for the update as it’s due to drop shortly.
BattleZone 1.07 Patch Notes
Added support for direct input controllers which should include the vast majority of flight stick, HOTAS controllers and older gamepads. Due to the sheer variability of these controllers, customising your controls is required before attempting to play. Note that direct input controllers aren’t currently supported in classic mode – apologies for the inconvenience but we wanted to get controller support for the main game to you as soon as possible.
Further improvements to voice chat quality on Steam.
Further improvements to jet pathfinding.
Improved UI messaging when the player is dead/being revived to discourage unnecessary use of lives. We’re aware that new players aren’t always aware that campaign lives are shared and we’re hoping that this will help to discourage premature respawning.
Fixed a bug where artillery shells would sometimes split prematurely, causing them to spread more than intended.
Tweaked artillery shell splitting. This change should make artillery hit the intended target more reliably. This, coupled with the above fix, should make the higher-level artillery weapons more viable.
Fixed a bug where Steam achievement progress was not being updated.
