i love how lindbergh asked sabo if stelly is his "brother" and then his mind thought of luffy instead right away

One of the things I love about One Piece is seeing how the friends and families root for the straw hats. I adore the ending of arcs, seeing everyone we've met so far and their reactions to the new bounties, crazy adventures and developments, etc. There are multiple examples of this, but specifically Doctorine using Chopper's bounty shirt and Zeff with Sanji's "face" mural made me so happy. They are parents, must be worried sick for their kids, but are so damn proud.
Also Doctorine using that at Mary Geoise at the Reverie is pretty damn iconic

She’d moved before she could even think about what she was doing, and saw Blackbeard pausing, his hand extended towards Luffy where Makino had put herself between them, her arms spread.
“No!” she snarled, her voice lashing out, sharper than she'd ever heard it. “You have taken enough!”
Peering down his considerable height where it dwarfed her, Blackbeard’s features showed no hint of remorse. “I told you,” he drawled. “Ain’t ever enough if you want everything.”
Makino didn’t budge, her arms spread where she stared him down. Luffy’s power had released her, leaving her as she'd been, and yet it wasn’t helplessness that filled her now, facing down an Emperor of the Sea. But unlike the many opponents she’d faced, World Nobles and Warlords and the Fleet Admiral himself, and even the one they’d called Im, she felt no fear, because while she had felt out of her depth on so many occasions, her power insufficient and her authority new and awkward, she felt no doubt now about what she was, and what she had always been to the boy behind her, not pirate or revolutionary or Empress, but something much more important.
Her voice when she spoke was steady, as calm as her heart as Makino told him, “If you want him, you’ll have to kill me to get him.”

I love how in One Piece there’s a whole ass kingdom named Ballywood with the king being named Ham Burger who is built like Abe Lincoln but with the American Flag pallets on his hat
And then the place that most feels like America is Drum Island where the main villain is some greedy billionaire that can eat literally anything and wants to privatize healthcare

Garp is such a MF-er, but also, there is something spectacularly heartwarming about how much he loves Luffy and how proud he is of him, even though he can't or won't verbalize it very often (and even though it's often cut through with how he still thinks of Luffy as the baby).
Like this scene with Hina in the Reverie-arc:
And Garp is just like... "you guys don't know what you're in for".
I always get the feeling that Garp is not all that surprised by what Luffy is capable of (he already suspected he could use Conqueror's Haki before Marineford, for example). Sure, he did not want him to become a pirate, but maybe he fought so hard against that precisely because he knew how likely it was to happen. (Also: Garp is not exactly someone who fits comfortably into the hierarchical system of the One Piece society either).
(The Reverie arc bringing up Kuma again, Bonney again, Rocks pirates being mentioned, AND Hina talking about Garp's role in all of this... there's a crapload of foreshadowing in this little arc.)
